What a beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views and outstanding service. From moment we checked in and got seated, we knew we were in for a treat. Especially our server Tammy was just amazing, didn’t rush us at all and her recommendations were spot on.
Started with the Iceberg Salad, which was simply delicious.
For the main courses we had PAN ROASTED HALF CHICKEN, very filling and rich and then the MEDITERRANEAN BRANZINO, very soft and dripping with flavors.
Definitely a place for a special occasion or for a nice meal with loved ones.

Great service and atmosphere. The menu has changed since I last came. With some welcomed additions (such as their marinated oysters) and some items that will be missed (such as their exquisite crab cakes).

Not so much fan of their food but the place and service was amazing.
Went there for our 8 year anniversary and they offered us complimentary drinks.
Such a nice gesture.
Overall amazing place. TAMY served us and was honestly the best servant.

Look at the place!! Beautiful view

A truly great place for dinner with interesting cocktails, a stunning view, and some of the best seafood you can have. The smoked trout was incredible - a deep, authentic wood smoke that provided the impact of a smoked dish without being overwhelming. Probably the best smoked item I've had anywhere.

The octopus appetizer was done to perfection as well - the most tender I recall having. Oysters were great, too!

All of that and a world class view? Worth every penny.

Amazing experience with the food and the service. My only complaint is the $8 bottled water that we didn’t know was that price prior to ordering it and getting the ticket. Overall, they get a 5/5 from me!

The views are great, and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and able to provide recommendations! The Branzino was cooked to absolute perfection with a little crisp. The crab cake in the sandwich was well seasoned and so fluffy!

Here’s what we ordered from the lunch menu:
- Frozen Drink of the day (Blackberry/Gin Frosé)
- Roellin’ on the River
- Crabby Patty with herbed parmigiano fries
- Mediterranean Branzino

The best thing about this place is the view and vibe. And the food and drinks make it even more a pleasant experience. The strawberry basil cocktail was great for a summer noon drink. The chicken lavish wrap was plentiful and flavorful, highly recommend it.

Definitely visit for the vibes, lovely view of the city skyline & the bar service was awesome! The scallops were good, but the pork chop wasn’t that tasty unfortunately. The lobster ravioli was quite a small portion. The braised octopus appetizer was decent enough. The best thing was the blackforest cake dessert which was divine.

Battello, you beauty! My husband and I always looked at the pretty restaurant right by the river whenever we visited Newport. On my husband's birthday, we decided to finally visit this place and it certainly lived up to our expectations! We ordered the kale hazelnut salad, half chicken and the eggplant entree. The food was tasty, each dish better than the other. The drinks were strong and unique.. we each tasted 2 cocktails and they were all great. The live music was beautiful and set the atmosphere for us. Prior reservation is definitely recommended, especially on weekend nights! There are many parking spots right outside the restaurant but we used the path train and it was a short walk to Battello. Even though it was expensive, this restaurant was worth the visit for our special occasion!
