Fantastic architectural building.
But not practical for the receipt of thousands of people every day.
It hosts fantastic exhibitions though. Always worth the detour.
Reservation is recommended.

Went for the Rothko exhibition. Was wonderful. Not overly crowded on a Friday afternoon with the exception of Gallery 9 that had a LONG queue

Can not talk water bottles in any more. They cost check them!

Blue Bus was great.

Not my first time visiting but Fondation Louis Vuitton never fails to impress. Gorgeous architectonic building (visit the roof!) with extensive Mark Rothko exposition. It was a busy time (make sure to buy tickets in advance) - sunday at noon, therefore a little more crowded than I like, but lines were quick and easy. Strongly recommend!

The building looks stunning from the outside . Worth visiting just for that. We went to see the Rothko exhibition. We had booked tickets in advance, but it does not seem to make a lot of difference, we still had to queue outside to go through security (airport style!). Liquids are not allowed inside so be warned. I had to throw away my bottle of water (almost empty, but still). the queuing area is outside and with no shelter, we were lucky it wasn't raining at the time but this could definitely be improved.
The exhibition was really well curated and organised, but some of the rooms were very crowded as the time slots don't seem to have anything to do with how many people they allow in at the same time. Also, it was on multiple floors so a lot of stairs. There are lifts, but they looked rather small so not sure how accessible the building is.

The building is beautiful, the collections and exhibitions (Rothko) fantastic. But you have to bear the crowds! It is always full, you rarely can enjoy a piece because it is impossible to stand in front of one. On top of it there are always guided groups being loud, so you get to hear their explanations even if you don’t appreciate the opinion of the guide in turn. Or the school teachers that put loud music so that the kids can dance in front of the paintings… If only one could choose like from 9 to 11 in the mornings for quiet time (NO tours) it would be so much better…

Went to the Rothko exhibition there and what an amazing experience! The building is an architectural tour de force with good lighting, beautiful exhibition spaces and some nice terraces. Outside is a mesmerizing cascade which visitors will appreciate best when looking at it from the inside. There's a kid room where you can also relax on some bean bags. In that same room they were showing a very informative documentary about Rothko, which we saw after our tour from a balcony.

Breathtaking museum inside and out. Exhibitions are always build with quality in mind. It's such a pity in such a gorgeous and recent building that still there are line ups in the ladies restrooms. As well as universal accessibility. We're in 2023! Architects should really work with inclusivity in mind...
