For those looking to take a leisurely stroll, there's a beautiful park nearby where you can enjoy a peaceful walk. Plus, the adjacent Woodbine Beach offers opportunities for picnics or swimming
The museum showcased some of the living environment of the people living in Scarborough a few decades ago. The staff was super nice and she provided a free guided tour. However, the museums only consisted of a few houses and exhibitions. It's not worth coming from a far distance specifically for this, unless you happen to be passing by or have a strong interest in the topic.
Festive Holiday Lights was a great expérience with kids. Lights are stunning and the projector effects they had made it come to life. With a magic show and fire show for Entertainment and Characters like the Grinch, and others walking around entertaining the kids was a great add on. The Tunnels were beautifully decorated. We would go again. Parking across George Brown college was an easy walk to the main entrance of the light show. Dress warmly and it's a great evening of fun.
To say I felt like a princess walking the halls of Casa Loma is an understatement. It was so beautiful taking everything in at our own pace 🥰 I recommend watching the historical video in the basement before walking the castle because it tells you all you need to know about the history of the castle and the man behind its creation. It was a perfect day trip in Toronto and I’ll definitely be returning in a princess gown for the pictures.
A luxurious castle that is a must visit. Perfectly preserved interiors of bedrooms, offices, children's rooms and restrooms. Museum of Intelligence and Military History. Collection of antique cars. The Wax Museum. If you're lucky enough to visit the castle during the Christmas holidays, you'll be treated to a journey to Santa through the underground tunnels. I recommend!
My parents were married here, back in 73. They passed 17 years ago. This year, we went onto ancestry and found a half sister and a half aunt! We brought them here to share some of mom's history with them at Christmas time. Afterward we did the holiday lights tour. It was beautiful and magical.
Genuinely appreciated spending a few hours here exploring yesteryear. I cannot fathom living in a house of this size for 10 years. The visit is totally worth the ticket cost. We got an Uber to drop us off as we didn’t want to deal with city driving and parking. Definitely worth it. The house is massive so the so many areas to explore. The Christmas decorations and shows make it even more magical.

Went in to have a look as part of Doors Open. While the exterior is preserved well, the building has had to change with the times and many rooms modernized blandly for office use. Also many areas locked and not available for viewing. Rather than lamenting I suppose I should be glad that at least some of this historical building still remains in its former glory.
Beautiful clean outdoor area in the heart of the city. Multiple use spaces everywhere. Clean washroom facilities on site. Wide open spaces with lots going on all around the area. Fantastic summer destination.
Usually not open to the public as it is actually an office space. However, I got a chance to visit during Doors Open Toronto 2023. The house looks nice from the outside with a pretty small garden. The first floor has been beautifully restored, and one can see the dining room and the study. However, all of the rooms on the upper floors and the basement are either empty or used as office spaces. It would have been nice if they preserved a greater part of the interiors and opened it as a museum. Nevertheless, I am glad to see the house overall being preserved and actively used.

A unique, historical and beautiful location in the heart of Toronto. Features include an architecturally significant building dating back to 1829 and beautiful and tranquil gardens with several areas to sit and take in the surroundings. Large wrought iron fences surround the area and cobblestone drives are a wonderful feature. Large trees offer shade and one would not feel as though they are in the heart of a large metropolitan city.

I love this place. This memorial is not placed on the site of castle frank. It's close by, you would have to travel south of the school. Maybe during summer break I'll venture out and see if their are any trails.
This location is mobility accessible. I have been in this area many times and never noticed this tucked away on the side of City Hall. The sculpture has many details and is worth checking out. Because it is sort of hidden, it is very peaceful and a great place to reflect. Nearby is also a structure of Winston Churchill.

I can't believe I passed by this beautiful place and never realized what it held inside! This building has a gorgeous library and it's full of paintings of past treasurers, each with their own unique touches! There's a dining hall thats been used for over a hundred years with short little seats because people were tinier back then. Come in for a treasure trove of Canadian law history :)
Very beautiful from the outside! The trees are absolutely lovely and the old design and floors were a sight to behold. One of the cooler architecture pieces of Toronto as it was designed more than 100 years ago! Definitely a treat to have explored it during doors open Toronto, as it was a great cultural experience and a fun one too! Definitely recommend!

I have passed by so many times but never went inside. What you may not know is that this building is open to the public. Before entering you are subject to a security check, however. Be sure to visit the law library.

Not much to see here in comparison to other museums like Mackenzie House
It's a historical house yes, but most of the house is actually office space or an escape room game. There are two rooms downstairs, a rendition of George Brown's office/library and the dining room. It was not really what I expected when visiting the house. I expected more of a museum feel to it.
Really interesting building to look inside of. It's the home to the law society and has a couple of really old artifacts from when the society was founded. There is a law library full of reference books to cases, but it is a public space, so anyone can go there during office hours to work in the library. It's a very beautiful space.
The only female statue on the grounds of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Queen's Park. Queen's Park is named after her. She reigned over Canada from 1837 to 1901.
This statue on the grounds of Queens Park was designed by Italian sculptor Mario Raggi (1821–1907). It was commissioned in 1870, installed in September 1902, and unveiled May 27, 1903. It is bronze, on stone pedestal with bronze reliefs by J. L. Banks.

Escape room was a blast, not easy at all but a lot of fun
Went here for an escape room, it is by far one of my favorites because of how immersive and innovative the puzzles were!
The George Brown House was absolutely perfect for the wedding ceremony, giving us a beautifully decorated and cost friendly intimate space that still let us have our dream Victorian-themed wedding. The venue managers were very professional, quick to reply, and worked closely with us almost on a weekly basis to answer our hundreds of questions and ensure that our day would go as we planned. Being a national heritage venue does mean that there are several restrictions (e.g. limited candle usage, no confetti/rice, etc.), but these were things we could easily negotiate solutions to. Even on the day of, venue staff worked hand in hand with our wedding party to ensure a smooth rundown.
