A really interesting piece of architecture and a great site to see and photograph when exploring Toronto. The classic architecture is a really fascinating site and this is a great spot to visit when exploring.
Was there for a wedding, and the staff was amazing. The area was well decorated and taken care of. Absolutely beautiful
We went for a wedding in one of the complexes. The room for the appetizers and drinks was small. The main hall was great for the number of people that came. We think there is so much wasted space in the complex that it could have been a better distribution. The staff was courteous and kind. The bartenders were also quick and fun to deal with. We had a good experience. Love the little outside area with the fountain and the garden.
Liberty Grand is just like the pictures posted. It's beautiful and has a gorgeous terrace. Truly one of the more elegant venues I have seen I a while.

One of our favourite places to visit in Toronto. It’s a great spot to walk around on historic brick streets while exploring a bunch of unique shops, bakeries, and restaurants. If you are able to catch it during the “Winter Village” it is especially beautiful.
We had an amazing experience hosting our wedding at Fantasy Farm. From the first time we reached out, Gus was very responsive and helpful, and we felt confident that our wedding would be in good hands. They promised that what we were quoted was what we would pay and they stuck to that. On the day of the wedding, Gus, Jeremy, and the team made the day flow seamlessly and we even had guests commenting on how great the service was. We felt that they really went above and beyond. The food was delicious and plentiful and they had no issues working with allergies/restrictions. The grounds were lovely even in the winter and the ballroom was spacious. We have no regrets about choosing Fantasy Farm and we will definitely recommend this venue in the future.
We had our winter wedding at Liberty Grand in the Artifacts Room. We loved the contemporary room from the moment we did our first site visit, and the venue location is easy to get to for our guests traveling from outside of the city.

Since we haven't gone to a wedding at Liberty Grand in a long time and there are not a lot of reviews about (or photos of) catering at the venue, we were worried that the food wasn't going to meet our expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised when we went to our tasting that everything we tried was so delicious that we had a hard time deciding on what to serve. We ended up going with the mushroom truffle foam soup, braised beef short rib, miso ginger glazed cod, potato truffle pave (soooo good), and apple crumble with ice cream. Our guests raved about the food...and the cocktails (and bartenders)!
We had both our ceremony and our reception at the venue, and the room flip was executed perfectly during the cocktail reception. My coordinator worked closely with me to ensure the room flow was exactly how I wanted (it was important to me that the bar and the dance floor were right next to each other).
The staff, from security guard to manager, were all so hospitable. Extra special mentions to Olga (catering manager) and Jessica (our coordinator) who went out of their way to make sure our wedding went smoothly and that we had everything we needed...we can't thank you enough!! We're so glad we chose such a special Toronto landmark for our special day.

Nice Historic Museum in Downtown Toronto. I visited Fort York National Historic Site today on March 10, 2024 at about 03:00 PM. It was a good experience visiting this museum. I was able to see the barracks used by soldiers from 1800s and 1900s. I was also able to learn about the different Army Uniforms, Ships, Guns, and other Ammunitions. There were many paintings and information diagrams depicting historical information. Fort York National Historic Museum was open till 4 pm. Last tour today was at 02:00 pm. Since I had reached at 3 pm, I was not able to join the tour. I travelled from my apartment by bus to Warden Subway Station. Then I got down at Bathurst Subway Station and took the street Car to Fort York intersection. And ftik there I walked to reach the museum, which was about 200 metres from the streetcar stop. I took some photos on my phone Samsung Galaxy A71.
I've travelled to Toronto from Saskatoon 20+ times and this was my first time visiting the Distillery District. I know it's renowned for its Christmas Market but I went in February, on a quiet Monday afternoon. It's a beautiful little area, lined with cobblestone streets and historic buildings. The buildings are now filled with independent boutiques and eating places. There are lots of unique spots for photo ops. I wouldn't rank this as a must-do/must-see for travellers outside of the holiday season but if you have time to just stroll around and/or enjoy shopping at unique independent boutiques, the Distillery District has a beautiful vibe.

This historic building was completed in 1899 after 11 years under construction. The Romanesque-style architectural design of the interior and exterior has animal and human cravings throughout the building are magnificent. The prominent clock tower is still in good working condition. This landmark is a must see heritage site.
The public can still go into 60 Queen Street for minor traffic offences. The city is still hearing matters there until they move to Front and the Esplanade while that courthouse is built.

Too many people smoking inside, vaping and a bit out of control. No security to be found. I have asthma and I can’t handle the smoke. We left early right after midnight.
We tried to have a great time but to many guys trying to push us though the crowds. Honestly skip this place if you can, managements is horrible. I witness a couple got there stuff stolen. We waited for 30 min to get our drinks, not enough worker. The only thing that was smooth is the coat check because they put more employees working there.

I recently had the delightful opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Liberty Grand in Toronto, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. As a wedding photographer, I've seen quite a few venues, but the Liberty Grand is something special. Here's why:

Christmas market was cute! Lots of vendors and really cute shops. Even if you don’t want to buy anything, it’s still super fun with all the picture spots. Lots of pretty decorations and lights — highly recommend for an afternoon/evening of strolling around!
It is an amazing theater, perfectly decorated, stylish, well-designed and equipped.

Very nice and cozy theater. We were on mezzanine 3rd raw. We could see the stage very clearly.
The exterior of this grand historic building, constructed in Romanesque style in 1889 (completed in 1899), with a prominent clock tower, is impressive and one can spend a good deal of time admiring the details of its design. The building appeared to be locked, but we pushed open a heavy door to discover that it was indeed open. There were strict security procedures in order to enter, as the building now operates as a court house - the largest and busiest in all of Canada. The magnificent interior with its mosaic floor, columns, gargoyles, old elevator shaft, caricatures of Councillors, staircase and stained glass window was well worth a visit.
Very nice Christmas Ville that is great to bring kids around. A little bit pricey just to walk around (15 per person). I would recommend it for a one time visit, not for a repeat visit, unless you are going to experiment the different restaurants and foods that are sold locally. During the day, it is a pleasant place for either a hot chocolate or a beer.

We just had a brief visit to the Holiday market and it is GORGEOUS! So cute and fun. Lots to see and do. Dress warmly and be prepared to pay higher prices. Lots of photo ops and good restaurants. Amazing treats and gifts all around!

Highly recommend visiting during the holidays. Came by on a Monday around noon,it wasn't crowded and no lines. If you can make the visit on a weekday and prior to 4 pm, definitely do it (makes taking pictures a lot easier, and you can avoid paying for entry). I don't often stop by the distillery, but around the holidays, it's definitely a staple for all to check out 🩷
I went to Fort York for the Remembrance Day ceremony. This is one of my favourites as they go out of their way to honour those who served in wars as far back as 1812. (Not just the soldiers either) The service was touching as usual and there was a nice reception afterwards in the first with stories of different groups. If you are ever offered the war cake definitely try it, it’s delicious.
We were married in the fall of 2023 at Fantasy Farms, Toronto and it was an absolutely perfect day.
Gus & Jeremy were outstanding from initial contact all the way through our interactions and we cannot recommend this venue enough. The food was amazing, the pricing was competitive and the level of service from the team at Fantasy Farms was above and beyond.
Truly a gorgeous venue, you won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere/venue , excellent services, yummy food choices and truly lovely grounds by the Lake. Getting there by GO transit was a cinch! Exit at Exhibition Station and walked West along well lit sidewalks! We even saw a police person on a horse patrol! Never felt safer in the evening…. The wait staff do their best to accommodate special requests. Only wish they were informed about the white and red wines we were being offered! Thanks and big shout out to Prashant Issar, FA for inviting us. You are taking care of business! It was great to meet fellow neighbourhood folks. what a wonderful place to visit. it is a hidden gem - in a way - while the place is quite visible, the entrance is rather hard to find and away from popular thoroughfares. Admission is free, and guided tours are offered on top of the hour. I really recommend taking a guided tour, it really enriches the experience. the guides are very knowledgeable about history of the site. While most of the original Fort York was destroyed by Americans in 1813, some buildings were restored, while others added. you can see how ordinary soldiers and officers lived, and learn about their everyday activities and pastimes. There are also exhibits displaying archeaological discoveries from the site, uniforms, weapons and guns from the era and many maps.
There is also a gift shop. The visitors centre near by is also worth visiting, with interesting temporary displays.

Ireland Park in Toronto is a poignant memorial and a tranquil green space. Overlooking the waterfront, it features powerful sculptures commemorating Irish immigrants. The park's serene setting and historical significance offer a reflective and moving experience.

Loved the experience. Got to know about the wars between America and Canada Natives/Britain. The museum gives you a glimpse into the lives of soldiers, arms & ammunition and the defense strategy. They hold periodic parade and shows during the summer and fall time. During summer there is an open theatre movie show which goes on for 3 weeks with 2/3 movies a week. That is a nice experience.

We had the most exceptional wedding thanks to Liberty Grand in the Artifacts Room. Their team worked with us closely for a year prior and all our correspondences were professional and timely. All our guests raved about the food and the smoothness of the day. Every staff member we we encountered were so lovely and worked tireless to make our day perfect. Our coordinator Jessica Rio was 10/10. It was worth the price tag for this venue and we are so happy we chose it.
This is such a cool experience, surrounded by downtown Toronto and near the municipal airport, you can travel back in time to visit Fort York briefly. And for FREE! And learn about Toronto's earliest history. We saw a rifle demonstration and several exhibits in each of the buildings.
I really enjoyed my visit. Entrance was free and there was almost nobody there so I got to explore the site and history in peace. Which is actually a really interesting glimpse in the history of Toronto. With the old buildings and walls still in tact or restored. All of this in the middle of the city. It takes an hour or so to fully explore. Definitely recommend!
a great initiative to commemorate Irish immigrants who arrived in Toronto during the Potato Famine (and especially those who perished shortly after arriving). Sadly now (Winter 2022/23) is not the best time to visit the park, as it is surrounded by construction sites - there is some renovation happening at the Canada Malting Co. and some developments by the Billy Bishop drop off/parking area. it is somehow easy to miss, as off the "beaten road" of Martin Goodman trail, and hidden behind other buildings.
Very cool architecture with a large clock tower. Sticks out like a sore thumb but that's why it's the old city hall I guess! Had Nuit Blanche events in front of it.

In addition, we had chosen the BBQ option for dinner, and the main course was to be served outside - they had a backup option for this as well to serve the mains inside in case of bad weather. Furthermore, as we were busy with the photographers during the cocktail hour, the team at Fantasy Farm saved us some hors d'oeuvres and brought it out to the garden for us. That was so incredibly sweet! They really took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our day. The food was delicious as well!

Tucked away on the harbourfront, this memorial celebrates Irish heritage and the impact it had on Toronto during the Irish famine. While not that old, it’s sad to see it has become an encampment with feces, urine and other waste around it, a sad and shame way to maintain and commemorate this memorial. Updated- the camp was removed

My wife and I first met Jeremy and Gus in Aug 2019 with the intention of having our wedding in October 2020. Due to circumstances, we had to postpone our wedding a few times.
When the pandemic hit, it turned all of our plans upside down. Jeremy and Gus stuck with us and gave us lots of advice when it came to wedding planning (we never hired a planner).
They've been helpful throughout the whole wedding process. We even had some last minute things that occurred during the wedding day that they took care of.
The location itself is a gem. You would never think you're in the metropolitan area with the surrounding forest. We had guests from the States that completely forgot they were in the GTA.
We opted for a ceremony in the front willow tree and reception in Cinderella's Cottage. The cottage room was a great choice for the amount of guests we had (approx. 70). It also gave us patio access for guests to relax outside if they needed some fresh air.
The food itself was terrific. Everyone enjoyed the three course meal and hor d'oeuvres we served them. Bonus shout-out to whomever cooked my steak because that was perfection.
Overall, we had an awesome time working with these guys. If we had to plan another wedding, we would choose to go with Fantasy Farm for our venue of choice. The level of service we received was phenomenal.

This beautiful red brick building was built as a private residence in 1873. The cool thing about this house is that when the condo on the same lot was built, they actually moved the house from one corner of the property to the other. The harsh LED lights placed around the perimeter were a poor choice though.
Its great to know a private farm/venue can not only survive n bounce back after the last year n half of uncertainties n hard times thru the pandemic, but still offers the grand finess of alacrity in hospitality product n service

On Toronto’s waterfront you will find a poignant tribute to Irish #refugees, who made the harrowing #transatlantic journey to #Canada to escape starvation and disease during the #GreatFamine.
Approximately one million people died, and millions more sought refuge around the globe. Ships carrying refugees were overcrowded and disease-ridden, providing ripe conditions for cholera and typhus to run rampant throughout the vessels. These boats, known as ‘#CoffinShip’, brought the sick, the indigent, the dead, and survivors to #America.
In 1847 around 40,000 #Irish men, women and children landed on the shores of #Toronto. At the time Toronto had only 20,000 inhabitants, but the city welcomed twice more newcomers with open arms. Over 1.2 million Irish #immigrants arrived in Canada from 1825 to 1970 making them the second largest group after the #FrenchCanadians.
The sculptures mirror a similar #FamineMemorial in #Dublin at the Bank of River #Liffey (the last picture). The monuments in Dublin represent The Departure with Toronto's sculptures being The Arrival. A total of seven sculptures stand on the dockside in Dublin, but this number is reduced to five on the Toronto waterfront to signify the tragic loss of life across the #Atlantic.
These spine-chilling bronze statues detail the tragedy of the #GreatHunger. One statue depicts a man lying on the ground emaciated, while another displays a skeletal pregnant woman holding her bulging belly, followed by a meek child standing wide-eyed in stress. Another statue remains bent over with hands elapsed in #prayer, while the last one extends his hands to the sky in #salvation.
In solemnity and quiet contemplation of the park, each statue represents an emotional connection to every immigrant’s journey: hope for new life, the tragedy of hardships, uncertainty for what lies ahead, and excitement for a new beginning. #IrelandPark is a centre for reflection, contemplation, and recognition of the past and the possibilities for the future. Ships carrying refugees were overcrowded and disease-ridden, providing ripe conditions for cholera and typhus to run rampant throughout the vessels. With its rich Edwardian Baroque details, classical composition, steel frame and fireproofed surfaces, the Birkbeck Building represents a transitional period of urban commercial design which combined historical style with modern technology. Built in 1908 for the Canadian Birkbeck Investment and Savings Company, this four-storey office building is typical of many small financial institutions prevalent in central business districts of Canadian cities before World War I. Designed by George W. Gouinlock, the Birkbeck Building was restored by the Ontario Heritage Trust in 1987.

My wife and I just got married at Fantasy Farm and we couldn't imagine it going better. It's a perfect venue to have an all in one outdoor ceremony plus reception. Beautiful grounds, fantastic food and great staff. Gus and Larry really made all the difference. Gus provides excellent advice leading up to the event and Larry made the night of run smoothly. The only issue we had all night was that it took much longer than expected to serve all dinner courses. Dinner finished about an hour later than we had planned. However most of our guests were so impressed they didn't mind the wait.
I am embarrassed by some of the ignorant and insensitive comments in the reviews. Do yourself a favour, read about the park first to understand the subject and the context of the location of this moving monument to an important event in the Canadian and world history. Then go and visit and contemplate your good fortune when compared to the struggles our predecessors had gone through in search of livelihood.
Lovely, quiet, small park in the city, around the corner of gateway to the local airport. Found it accidentally once looking for nice view of the tower and city skyline. There are few benches along the harbour, hence nice to relax for a while after taking few shots of the city.
