One of our favourite places to visit in Toronto. It’s a great spot to walk around on historic brick streets while exploring a bunch of unique shops, bakeries, and restaurants. If you are able to catch it during the “Winter Village” it is especially beautiful.
I've travelled to Toronto from Saskatoon 20+ times and this was my first time visiting the Distillery District. I know it's renowned for its Christmas Market but I went in February, on a quiet Monday afternoon. It's a beautiful little area, lined with cobblestone streets and historic buildings. The buildings are now filled with independent boutiques and eating places. There are lots of unique spots for photo ops. I wouldn't rank this as a must-do/must-see for travellers outside of the holiday season but if you have time to just stroll around and/or enjoy shopping at unique independent boutiques, the Distillery District has a beautiful vibe.
This district was recommended by one of my colleagues during our recent short trip to Toronto and it was quite an experience.
Little did I know that this historical district is one of the best-preserved Victorian-era industrial areas in all of North America. Simply wandering through the lanes is a captivating experience, allowing one to truly travel back to a bygone era with its red-bricked buildings, cobblestoned roads and the overall ambiance. It is a must visit place if you are planning a trip to Toronto.
There are a number of pubs and restaurants where you can spend time with your near and dear ones as well. We had our dinner in this area.

Christmas market was cute! Lots of vendors and really cute shops. Even if you don’t want to buy anything, it’s still super fun with all the picture spots. Lots of pretty decorations and lights — highly recommend for an afternoon/evening of strolling around!
Very nice Christmas Ville that is great to bring kids around. A little bit pricey just to walk around (15 per person). I would recommend it for a one time visit, not for a repeat visit, unless you are going to experiment the different restaurants and foods that are sold locally. During the day, it is a pleasant place for either a hot chocolate or a beer.
We just had a brief visit to the Holiday market and it is GORGEOUS! So cute and fun. Lots to see and do. Dress warmly and be prepared to pay higher prices. Lots of photo ops and good restaurants. Amazing treats and gifts all around!
Embrace the holiday charm in this picturesque Christmas destination, adorned with festive decorations and an array of twinkling lights. The atmosphere is enhanced by a delightful selection of restaurants offering seasonal delights, from cozy traditional fare to international culinary treats. Wander through the enchanting pop-up stores that line the streets, providing a perfect opportunity to find unique gifts and souvenirs. Whether you're savouring the flavours of local cuisine or exploring the temporary boutiques, this destination seamlessly blends the joy of Christmas with a delightful shopping and dining experience, making it a must-visit for those seeking both festive ambience and diverse retail delights.
