Fit4Dance is such an amazing place. The owner Laci has a beautiful heart and for over 10 years has work hard to create community space that feels like a second home to some really dope people who share the love of dance, fitness, and social awesomeness. The instructors are really good at making you feel comfortable. They meet you where you are and lovingly push you to grow beyond your own limits. The studio staff make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. There are so many different classes you can take and they all bring something special for all levels. Laci is also always adding new opportunities both in person and virtually. (🤗That means you can be apart of this community from another state). I discovered this community almost two years ago, and the only regret I have is not discovering it sooner. The people who go here are a whole vibe and they contribute to what makes this an amazing social environment. I have met so many new people that I now call friends. We laugh together, we honor one another, we support and encourage each other, and of course we DANCE. 💃🏾

I joined Fit4Dance in March and it has been the best thing I did in 2023! It is my new home away from home I gained a new family. Moreover, I have enjoyed the fitness classes and have really challenged myself in a couple of dance classes ;) I appreciate the diversity of its clientele in terms of their racial/ethnic backgrounds, age ranges and the varying dance skill levels. It’s a super welcoming and joy filled place. Step up and step into a loving safe space where you can advance not only your personal health and fitness but your total wellbeing through many enjoyable events and services to community!

I was the boy in the class and boys shouldn’t be mixed with girls and should be separated so I didn’t perform on June because that’s how much I hated it.

The classes here are so much FUN! The instructors are talented and AMAZING! I’ve taken Lit Fit, Haitian, Tap, Soca/Clash Cardio & newly added, Majorette! I love coming to F4D and being a part of the community of great people there.
I tried this months ago btw just writing a review now! I went to several of the classes and they were fun so I'd give 4 stars for the instructors especially the fusion ones! 5 starts for the hip hop and cardio classes! Those instructors are incredible. And the location is perfect if you want to get some nice Haitian food after or before class!
The adult classes had a ton of variety and were in the evening too! The Haitian and hip hop ones were memorable.
Just giving 2 stars bc the threats weren't ideal. I have been told I look a lot like someone else who comes to class ( Olu specifically as owner knows )

Idk what they means by "wash my feet in the female bathroom” on a number of levels but I guess it’s an example of getting confused with someone else.
Especially bc there is only 1 coed restroom if I recall well. The threat that was made during the 4 week session dance course not some bathroom
I am sure it may be a misunderstanding and if it is they can reach out and I will totally change my review or straight up discard my review.

My daughter is a regular at their summer camps- she always has a blast! She adores the counselors, and always comes home tired and happy after a day of theater games and rehearsals in the park. It has definitely helped instill a love and appreciation for performing, and nurtured her sense of self confidence. She is always so proud of their final performance for the parents and caregivers, which never disappoints! Highly recommended!
PSPA is an incredibly special place with the most caring, creative and responsible owners/teachers. Both of my daughters had several wonderful experiences there with camp this summer including Matilda, Six and Shrek. If you want your children to develop a love for singing, acting, dancing or just simply feel comfortable expressing themselves and build confidence, this is the place!
My daughter has done the Harry Potter camp the last 2 summers and has had a blast! The counselors are great and there's great activities for kids. She wants to come back next summer. Highly recommend!
I have been going here since I was a baby and I have loved it ever since! I consider every single person on the competition team a family member of mine and have made so many memories over time that I will cherish forever. The teachers are absolutely amazing and have helped me improve so much! The directer and teachers care so much about us and treat us like we are children of their own. There were times that I was very anxious about going on stage and I have always had my teachers and teammates by my side comforting me. Overall, this studio is amazing and the people apart of it are even better!
The Brooklyn Dance Centers is not only a dance studio, but it is also a family. My daughter and son have been dancing there since they were babies. My daughter is on the competition team and looks forward to going everyday!! The staff treats the girls as if they are their own. We love it there and couldn't be happier!
The Brooklyn Dance Centers are GREAT! The instructors are caring and professional, and the students LOVE their classes, their teachers and everything else about these wonderful studios! These are just a few of the reasons that these folks have been in business for 4 decades and have won accolades from the community they serve and well beyond.
Best studio ever!! I’ve been here for 10 years and I’ve made so many friends and memories but most importantly I learned so many new skills over the years. The teachers there actually care about the kids and take the time out of their day to help the kids learn and we’re basically like a family. When I leave I will remember this great learning experience and loving studio!!

My daughter started little gym since she was 18 months old and 9 she is 9.5 years old.

I signed up my 4 year old daughter for the summer gymnastics package and she loves it. Her teacher is so patient and kind and we are always excited for her class.
The ladies at the front desk is extremely polite and always have a smile on their face, they greet you graciously every time.This is my child’s first gymnastics class and we are so happy that it’s a wonderful experience. We definitely recommend them.

My family loves the Little Gym. It is always clean and the staff is always nice and do an excellent job with the children. My two year old can't wait to return to Brooklyn Height Little Gym.
Reception desk A pregnant unpleasant woman is sitting who shows her displeasure when you ask her something twice.There is no service and order not only at the registration desk, but also in the hall
Would not recommend this studio. You have students teaching classes and the owner has the worst attitude ever. Parents gossip about one another and the kids. Team members are full of mean girls and clicks and owner condones kids physically fighting. Worst studio experience!!!
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of seeing several of PSPA's theatre productions and have witnessed the talent of the students first-hand! They are not only talented, but well prepared and well trained! You will not be disappointed if you have the chance to see a production and more importantly, enroll your child in one of their classes! My niece and nephew love the Itty Bitty Ballet and Mini Musicians classes that they take at the studio and look forward to attending each week!
My daughter attends summer camp at PSPA! She absolutely adores everyone and every session she has attended. She especially loved the Harry Potter program. Rebecca and Erin are extremely engaging and genuine. They are a wonderful asset to the community and for all children looking to dive into their creative side. My daughter is so much more outgoing and I am so thankful we found them!
I recently traveled to Brooklyn and spent a week dancing at Fit4Dance and it was one of the best weeks of my life! I have been a virtual student since April 2020 and I finally got to meet Laci and take Lit Fit in person - a dream come true!! I enjoyed all the classes I took: Lit Fit, Diva La Femme, Jazz Dance, and Rabòday Fit. Even if you are a beginner, you are welcome to go at your own pace and just do your best. The instructors are supportive and kind and the classes are SO FUN! I have taken fitness and dance classes all over as it's my favorite thing to do when I travel and I promise you will LOVE Fit4Dance like I do. Can't wait to return!
My 17 month old son and I attend the Mini Musicians drop-in class together when we can. We love the convenience of being able to pop in when it best suits our schedule.
During the class, my son is highly engaged. He loves all of the songs, instruments, and teachers. He also loves that he can explore independently at times. The studio is clean, and it is a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you for helping him to learn, grow, and experience music!

Park Slope Performing Arts has been a truly wonderful experience for my son and daughter (now 11 and 9). Besides learning performance and production skills, they have gained self confidence and learned the importance of personal responsibility in a group, all in a welcoming, friendly, non-judgemental environment. The classes for every age have been creative and fun, and both were so excited when they were old enough to audition for the Park Slope Youth Theater Company! Their participation in the productions have instilled pride and a sense of accomplishment in them, and have been the highlight of their year!
Know this place for years. My granddaughter loves it,teachers are firm but loving.

My daughter have been going since she was 5 years old. She loves going and ask to go back every year. I honestly have no complaints the teachers are up to date on the newest dance craze. And they even sneak in a history lesson about dance every now and then.
When I'm feeling down or need a place of community and love. I head to fit4dance, where the instructor push you to be your best and the amazing people that comes through that door. A place where you always feel welcomed. A big 10/10.

Great dance school but you will think it's back to segregation days. You can see the split amongst the groups. Bad enough there aren't a lot of brown skin girls that attend but to see the divide is sad. Not a very welcoming atmosphere for a POC. I will not bring my child into a toxic environment like this just for her to stay among her own "kind" to feel comfortable because the others aren't accepting. It's not only the parents, their children also which shows behavior like this is taught in their home.
Highly recommend the beginner friendly flamenco class. Natallia is a great instructor, always very patient! This spot is on the second floor above the restaurant on the corner of West 6th and Avenue U. Flamenco class is 7:30 PM Thursdays and is very reasonably priced.
Really great Dance school for all ages
Can not say enough good things about this place. My son started with drop in classes and we transitioned into members, best decision. Very pricey but worth it. He absolutely loves coming here and exploring the equipment and meeting an occasional friend. There is also a diverse group of children attending which I really like. The staff are welcoming and his teacher is very sweet accommodating and creative. Guardians must be masked and vaxxed which I also like.

This is a special place and I consider it a neighborhood treasure! High quality dance instruction, warm and loving teachers who share the joy of dance with students of all ages. My daughter has attended since 2016.
This is a sacred and beloved place. My children spend hours each week and have for years. There is a warm community here and we all have memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Jennifer and her wonderful staff.

Great dance studio! They have 3 floors and a variety of classes including jazz, tap & hip-hop.
The teachers are very good, just the right amount of discipline for the age groups taught.
Really have only good things to say about this neighborhood fixture dance school. It’s a gem!

Another amazing experience this summer with PSPA camp for my kids. This time I had my 7 year old at Matilda Camp and my 3+ year old at Disney Camp. We have 4 kids all learning and growing with them and have been with PSPA for 10 years. Our oldest (twins) started at 3 years old and are still performing with PSPA going into 8th grade. (My 13 year old daughter did CIT for Disney Camp-it's a true community/family organization). I can't imagine anything greater than our Brooklyn kids having camp in Prospect Park and I am sunburn paranoid but was always confident they were learning and practicing under a big beautiful shady tree every day, and drinking plenty of water. The end-of-camp-week performances were amazing. I was shocked how much my 7 year old learned in a week and couldn't believe how she exploded like a musical theater pro in front of us. It was awesome. My 4 year old only went to 3 days of Disney Camp and fully performed at the end of his week as well. It was pretty incredible. Looking forward to Fall and Spring with PSPA and of course returning to Summer Camps in 2024!
Mr Brandon is awesome with the kids. Very well organized and safe place thanks to mr Brandon and mr George. The location is kept clean in between classes. Everything is structured and very good for the children's development. This place will help prevent your kids from being delayed. It's great to let your children socialize with other children in a clean environment. I would highly recommend this place. Don't be cheap on your kids this place is a wonderful experience for you and your children. The staff here is great.
My son went here for several years until we moved away. I was actually jealous of my son, wishing I too could be part of the experience. The trainers here were fantastic, professional, caring and made the experience incredibly fun. I would never hesitate to recommend it. My son Nicolas still talks about one instructor Miss Emma.
I highly reccomend takes classes here, Coach Ella has a unique approach to working with children of all age, but an efficient method to teach gymnastic skills. My neice loves it here! Hope this place goes back up again since it closed temporaily for COVID, my niece is anxious to get out of the house.
I went to this business as a child and my sister went after me. I am so grateful for Ella because she has taught both me and my sister invaluable skills that we will have access to for years to come. I am thankful to Brooklyn Gymnastics and Dance for improving my health/ fitness and providing a fun, safe and educational environment for me and my sister.
I've been a part of The Brooklyn Dance Centers for over 16 years! The sense of community is like no other business. I will continue to be a part of the BDC Family for many years to come!
Can’t say enough good things about this place. Kids learn real gymnastics and make friends for life. All the staff are friendly, energetic and knowledgeable about their craft. Miss Heather is my child’s particular favorite :) she really helped my child come out of her shell. The virtual classes they are doing for members have been great and we can’t wait for them to re-open and we can see everyone in person. Our family just want to thank all staff for their hard work during these tough times.
The teacher who is teaching there most of the classes is very rude. She is not able to touch gently a little children while she is fixing there poses, she is pushing hard and squeezing the parts of the body very painfully. And , she is screaming on kids like in army on a man solders. It's hard to avoid her by taking other class since she is exchanging the other teachers most of the classes. There is no set schedule for teachers in that place so you could choose the teacher, all mess.... I wouldn't recommend that place.
Omg this place is great for everyone and anyone. They have so many different things to offer. They are a small gym with an attentive staff. The prices are affordable and they work with your budget. Just opened up another location on ocean ave.
My 3-yo kid has been coming here for the last four months and has made great strides. The instructors are caring and attentive and challenge the students to do their best. These gym classes have definitely taught our kid anoint body awareness and has instilled a lot of confidence.
A great dance school!! They have so many, many students but they remember each one by name. My daughter has spent 4 years here doing ballet/tap starting at 2.5 and it has been an absolute pleasure and blast to be part of this family. They are very affordable and fun with many class times and options. Their regular classes are not too competitive and aimed for fun and learning but their competition groups are amazing and high class. I believe they win top awards every year.
The Dance House House of Brooklyn has always been a family to me. I started my journey with them since 2016. I wish I came to Dance House of Brooklyn earlier. Even though I haven’t been there for 6 or 7 years, like many of the other girls, I am very happy that I was able to have a great experience and have the best time here at this dance school. I made many new friends that share the same passion for dance as me. These friends made my stay at Dance House of Brooklyn made my experience the best that it could have ever been. The teachers at The Dance House of Brooklyn taught me how to become a better a dancer and how to have a passion for dance and Ms. Nicole really cares about all of the students. They made competition exciting and we won many of the competitions. Dancing helped me to express myself in each and every way and to break out of my shell. Thanks to Dance House my dancing technique has improved ever since I went there. They have the best classes anyone would love and enjoy. Even though I am not taking classes this year because of high school, I really miss it. I am hoping to go back soon. Ms. Nicole I wanted to let u know that you have a great dance school and I enjoyed being a part of it. Thank you!

Who visits and goes to zumba?! I do! Laci has such a down to earth calming nature. It is evident from her client interaction and her energetic classes that she is very passionate about dance. It's more of a family party than strangers in a dance class. I really like the vibe.

i take my little sister here and it's so hard to get her to leave. she always has such a great time and her gymnastics skills have been recognizably improving. The classes are well structured and the management is so friendly. I highly recommend you give this place a try. They have so many different options you are sure to find something to suit your little one's tastes and you really can't get the same personal touch anywhere else!
My daughter is going to gymnastics here for past year on Monday’s and Wednesday she loved it . I see a huge improvement . Ella is amazing teacher thank you so much also the new teacher she got she is very professional as far as I know I took my daughter to 3 other places , before I found Brooklyn Gymnastics and Dance , Perfect location, spacious studio for Dance.
