My family doctor is kind and caring and has been our doctor for many years. However trying to book an appointment on the upgraded online portal is not working. Also, I cannot make an appointment by calling the number, I keep getting the message 'the person you are calling is not available, try later.' Not sure what's happening, but I was able to book online appointments with no trouble before.

Dr Abdullah Hussaini is an absolutely brilliant doctor. He’s friendly, patient and competent. Would recommend him to anyone looking for quality patient care. 5 stars are for him. The appointment booking service is horrible though. It always takes at-least 15 minutes for someone to pick your call. So thats a 1 star service. They also never call you back when you ask them to for a question regarding a medication or reports or some paperwork or an important question we have for our doctors.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Accucare that I feel compelled to share. The clinic’s unprofessionalism is staggering, and it’s clear that their primary focus is making money rather than providing quality care. They consistently overbook appointments, resulting in hours of waiting, which is a blatant disrespect for patients' time.
Kristina is a major concern. Her approach is shockingly dismissive and opportunistic. She claims that extra charges for equipment are justified because they include “consultancy,” yet she clearly lacks any real knowledge about the equipment or individual patient needs.
Overall, my experience was terrible. The long waits, poor customer service, and overpriced equipment make it clear that this clinic is more interested in making money than taking care of patients. I highly recommend staying away and finding a better place.

When I last met my doctor, I was told that I will have a follow up in one year. I also made an appointment with one year later date.
Fast forward one month I received a call from the clinic saying I need to bring my machine to download the data. I was surprised because my doctor specifically said I will have appointment in one year. I asked to reconfirm and I was told about the same thing- they need to download the data from the machine. So I will need to bring the CPAP machine and my health card.
I managed to move my work shift and agreed to meet them today.
Today I met the person in their clinic The lady looked at my machine and outright started to point out that my machine needs to replace filter mask etc etc. and started asking about my insurance. I refused to get any replacement parts from them as the prices were expensive. The lady tried all the tricks "Oh I am going to have to put this in your file and if you get any repository issues, it needs to be documented that you refused." The whole conversation didn't sit right with me. I went there to have my data downloaded not to go through your lousy sales pitch. That too I am not sure why my data is needed manually in the first place.
When I refused then came her agitated face "You have to pay us 75$ as a service charge since you are not getting any replacement for us." I asked why and the lady kept repeating we are not working for free. We waive this fee if you get replacement parts from us." I didn't ask for this appointment in the first place, your reception didn't mention about any service fees. I came to have my CPAP data downloaded, not to get ambushed by your incompetent sales person. If I needed to replace any parts I should have the option to price check with other sources.
Beware of this shady business. Stop keeping shady salespeople in the name of "technician", who has no idea about CPAP and only there to push unnecessary stuffs.

This review is about the Acue Breath clinic within this clinic. I’ve purchased a CPup machine there during the pandemic. Within 6 months there was a recall on the machine (Philips) and I was told to come to the clinic and get a loaner until the part can be replaced. I was asked to give them my machine but because it’s pandemic it might take a year to replace the part. I did not want to give my machine as they were very vague about it. And was told I would then have to pay $150 deposit on the loaner machine that will be returned to me when I return it. No one else was charged this deposit. I would call every few months for update on the replacement machine. Could not get a hold of anyone. One time a girl answered and told me they only get one machine replaced a YEAR. I couldn’t get a print out from them when I had Dr appointment. I had to go to a different random store who were happy to give me a printout. FAST FORWARD 4 YEARS. I finally was able to book an appointment with Kristina the owner that gave me a sob story that she had a partner that they did not get alone and had to split the business. The partner took my $150 deposit money and she can not give them back to me. She took the part of my machine and said that within a week she will have replacement part. Again I didn’t hear back from them and after 3 months I called again and was told the owner is on vacation and I was booked for an appointment after her vacation in a month. The day of my appointment on my way to my appointment I called to verify she is back. And was told they have no record of my appointment. I took time off because it was in the middle of the day.
I than booked another appointment it the following week. I came in and finally got my replacement part to my machine. At no point it was ever discussed that they have a service fee. If legislations changed around what is covered by Ohip and what is not. They have the obligation to tell you prior to your appointment. And since I refused to pay double for the accessories I was made to pay $70 for the service of giving me my part back. I have been through a nightmare dealing with this clinic for 4 years. And wanted to give the owner the benefit of the doubt that she really had bad partners who left her in the lurch. But didn’t expect the price gauging. Do with this review what you want. But if you want transparency and honesty. You will not get it here.

Been coming to this clinic ever since I was prescribed a CPAP machine by the sleep doctor. Keep in mind this was back in 2019 so this is basically 5 years of going here for follow up appointments. At NO time was I ever charged or mentioned that these appointments are NOT covered by OHIP and that they were waiving fees for me. You figure if you're good-willing this, they'd be mentioning it.
In January, 2024, I went in for a follow up visit, gave them my SD card and the owner of the clinic (you can look her up on LinkedIn) sat down with me. She mentioned that they couldn't download the report today and I would need to come back for my SD card. Fine. She then went on to say that I have never purchased any replacement parts from them - this is accurate, I've always bought it online. I told them that and that clearly set off something because I was basically lectured on how they don't work for free and that I should be buying from them as they are an authorized rep and sell only authentic parts. This went on for a WHILE even though I had bought her story and was willing to buy from them. After the lecture, she proceeded to bill me for the parts she recommended which came in at nearly TRIPLE the cost you can find online. Keep in mind, the price of the items was never brought up until point of payment. That said, I moved on.
I was told to pick up my SD card that weekend so I came in as told and the same lady said she couldn't find my card but they didn't lose it. I also asked them to show me how to separate the pillow from the strap as the unit sold to me was VERY stiff and refused to separate. A couple of half hearted attempts later, I was told by her you cannot separate it. This is utter nonsense. I went home and then proceeded to soak it in warm water and then successfully split them apart. I have worn the same model for years so I know (and a quick cursory YouTube search) you can split it apart. This shows you how little they know the product they rep.
Back to the SD card, she told me to come back next week during the week. Keep in mind they close before I can get to them on normal working hours so I have to LEAVE early to get to them. I came back, the clinic was locked and no one could get in. Was told to come back another time. This was a huge waste of my time. I slapped in my own SD card and the ResMed CPAP formatted it and it said it was good to use.
Fast forward to August and I'm back to pick up my original SD card and told them I've been using my own card. The receptionist looks suspicious and doesn't seem to recognize I had a SD card adapter to use a MicroSD. Not an issue, told her the CPAP took it and didn't complain. I then go see the tech and they said they tried my SD card and couldn't download the report from it and said they used my old SD card to download the report. This is confusing because unless the CPAP is storing the data locally within itself AND within the card, I don't see how they could have gotten my data from the past 4 months. This was suspect at best. Misleading at worst.
After a few quick questions of whether I was doing fine and the humidity levels and such, I was asked if I would be up to replace the gear again. I said I just replaced it on the last visit and would not be up for it right now. Ok, I then was sent back to the front and was told to see the owner again.
Same thing along the lines of oh we offer great service, we don't work for free, the ADP (Assistive Devices Program) keeps track of us since Covid because respiratory issues are now a huge issue and we have to keep track of our patients whether they respond back to us, replace their gear, etc. I said, if I am being told I must replace my gear, I will but it wouldn't be from them. The conversation immediately switched to why I'm taking advantage of them. Wait, what??? I owe $150 for the visit because OHIP doesn't it. I paid and left.

I have a family doctor at this clinic that I havent been able to see in months. Ive made 2 phone appointments, in which the doctor ended up missing the time window and calling me an hour after the appointment time. (They don't give you specific appointment times, just two to three hour long blocks the doctor might call within.) I tried to make an in person appointment and was told my doctor wouldnt be in the office for the next 17 days for some reason, this is after he just came back from a 2 week vacation. This clinics been a mess since they moved. The new location is in the middle nowhere nd hard to reach by transit. Because of the high turn over the receptionists often seem unsure of who the doctors are or what they are doing, thats if you can ever actually get one on the phone. I will say he's a decent doctor when you can actually get to see or talk to him. But that only seems to be possible once or twice a year.

There is this one receptionist I will get her name but she is RACIST. They don't care about blacks or browns at this clinic. IM NEVER going back. Dr Datta I will be filing a complaint against you ! RACISM is REAL.I'm going to try and make a long story short . This has been my family doctor for 5 years since they moved to this new location the receptionist got ruder! I e beeen struggling with health issues and domestic recently. I now reside in Durham in a women's shelter for DV which is far from clinic I have to arrange a ride every time but if they cancel on me I miss my appointment which is a $40 fee for each appointment missed . I had an appointment for 4pm but I had it written down as 10:30. I arrived at the clinic at 10:15 come to find out my appointment was at 4pm but that was my fault because I wrote it down wrong. That's not the problem the way I was handled by that RACIST receptionist was horrible she made it her business to shout and let everyone in the clinic know that I owed the money for missed appointments. I left because they said doctor said she couldn't see me because she had a lot of patients waiting . Ok fine I was going to sit around for hours and wait till 4pm because I am very sick and I'm need of seeing a doctor and I came from far on public transportation. Fast forward I got a call from the clinic 2 hours later saying the doctor cancelled my 4pm appointment and the doctor said she would not see me unless all the fees are paid. My heart dropped this added fuel to my fire that was already lit. How does she expect me to pay knowing my situation then cancelled my appointment? This is so not fair!!

Dr. G Popovic's was my choice after my original doctor (Dr. Eisener)retired, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I waited over a month for an appointment, only to be greeted with a dismissive attitude during what was supposed to be a meet and greet. While discussing routine health concerns and mentioning a swollen eye, Dr. Popovic curtly informed me that bringing a list of issues would not make us a good match. This response struck me as highly unprofessional and left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a patient. Regrettably, I will not be returning to Dr. Popovic's.

I really didn't want to leave a review, but I'm fed up. Every time you need to book, they'll give you a date months away. They said I can call the same day for a phone appointment, only for their lines to be so busy it can't accept calls.
I like my family doctor, but it's almost insane how impossible it is to get an appointment with her. I don't even think it's worth it to have one because most of the time, I have to go to a walk in to get support.
Not to mention Malvern Medical moved out of MALVERN??? The decision makes NO sense.
This clinic is either seriously understaffed or just under poor management. Everytime I try to book an appointment the timing gets longer.

My family's current family physician is Dr. S. Thillivaisan. She is such an amazing, considerate, very helpful & compassionate doctor. She gives detailed explanation of our medical condition which includes results from blood work, xray, ultrasound. She gives professional advice on whether we need a specialist & gives referral based on our specific health issues. I could have given 5 star to Malvern Medical Centre's service, but I could not. I just wish that the reception ladies could learn how to smile to the patients & be more pleasant. Every patient who goes there have their own physical, emotional & mental issues. I believe a simple friendly smile or just say "hi", "hello" to the patient will make a positive impact to each other. And also, to the secretary Wendy, please try to double check the correct contact information for each pharmacy especially the address & fax number so you could avoid unnecessary inconvenience between different pharmacies & to you as well. There are several pharmacies within Scarborough & Malvern, but each have a distinct address & fax number.

If there was a lesser rating, I would rate less than 0 stars. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! No answering service, no voicemail, secretary Angela rarely ever answers the telephone, useless office!! She doesn't care to call back with any information. How does this office even exist?? Does dr. Curria exist?? Should be shut down, it's inhumane, shameful and disgusting!

I have been coming to danforth medical centre for over 20 years and now my children come here too. I couldn't be any more happier with the knowledge and treatment we receive every time. I never have to stress or think twice when I call the office the receptionist are always so friendly and so helpful. They even call me to remind me of apts. Dr Jindal Is always on point with what is happening with all of us. Anytime we have in person or phone call Apts he always takes his time with each of us nothing is rushed he is always so genuine and so gentle with the children especially when coming to their anxiety and fears and towards needles! Keep up the wonderful care ❤️ I am also so pleased with all of the other doctors while Dr Jindal is away we can always count on great care from any of the team! There's never been a time of disappointment!

I've been going to this clinic for some time now and there isn't another clinic in Scarborough that gives as much care as the staff does here!
The Doctors at this clinic are top notch professionals that give the extra effort to help diagnose diagnose any problems and come up with ways to solve them!
In the front reception the staff there are very kind, helpful and organized.

Front desk receptionists are the worst to talk to. Booking an appointment or having the doctor call back is close to impossible. The doctor expects you to do a complete self analysis (even the things you aren’t aware of) before calling them. Zero consideration towards your health and safety. The front desk blames you in return saying this is the worst patient.

Been visiting this walk-in for nearly 3 years now. It’s closer than my family doctor and doesn’t require an appointment, the wait can be long sometimes if you don’t have a appointment as there are many people who come to this location but they are open weekends which is very convenient. I have never had a negative experience here. I have a regular injection every 2 weeks that I have to have done and they haven’t ever given me a hard time about it. I think I’ve interacted with every doctor/receptionist/staff in the building and they are all great. Also have the option to pay $ if you don’t have an Ontario health card to see a doctor. I’ve since moved away and I travel 30 minutes to come to this location because I’m confident in their practice and know I am always in good hands. Our family doctor is here. We can't change to another family doctor since there are no family doctors available in our area. So we're stuck at this bad service clinic. And the Malvern Medical Centre moved to more than half an hour away from it's original location. Before, it was about a 10 min drive to the clinic. The clinic is located on the 5th floor of the building. The washrooms are right across the elevators. You can check in for your appointment with the receptionist or you can check in with the self service touch screen screen.
The problem with this clinic is that booking a phone call appointment is a hit or miss. You book online if you want a phone call appointment. What I mean by a hit or miss is that sometimes the doctor will not call you for the whole entire day and skip your appointment time. And then they will say that "I did call you and left a message", which is a lie- there was no message on the answering machine. So, you have to phone into the clinic and book an in-person appointment. When you phone into the clinic, you spend more than an hour waiting to book an appointment. The waiting room isn't that big like the previous location.
The service from the doctors at this clinic isn't that good. Some doctors would not help you get the services that you need, or medicines that you need to be on. Other times, they don't listen to your concerns and worries when there's a problem with your health. So their "help" is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's decent, other times it real bad. There's a lot of delay in seeing you at your scheduled appointment time. When booking appointments, sometimes you get a early appointment in the week, other times you get it 2-3 weeks later. Sometimes you can get an appointment on the day you called and other times you could get an appointment within the next few days either morning or afternoon.
I heard that their front desk receptionist is understaffed and lots of people come and go... So, maybe that's why when booking an in-person appointment, it takes so long. The clinic is really busy and full. I believe that no doctor in the clinic is willing to take new clients.
If you already have a doctor here, a family doctor... I suggest not leaving. Since currently, there isn't enough family doctors within the city, you risk losing your only family doctor. Though if your family doctor doesn't have the time and day to see you, you're going to have to go into a walk in clinic. Good luck.

Worst experience ever. Had a scheduled appointment and waited over an hour and a half before deciding to walk out without being seen. Receptionist is an absolute moron and has no clue as to what she’s doing when booking appointments. Do yourself a favour and book and appointment literally anywhere else. Atrocious.

The front desk staff is very polite/professional and the doc was fantastic-listened about all symptoms and did a thorough checkup before prescribing. The only reason I have given 3 stars is because we were told wait time is 1hr but we were seen after almost 3.5hrs. I don’t mind waiting at a walk-in clinic but if you tell me 1hr them that’s how I time it. If they had said 3hrs, I would have figured out what to do with that wait time. I’ll certainly go back, if I have to. Will just plan about 4hrs for the experience

I would give -5 stars if I could. Went in for my wife and son, doctor already had written prescription before even getting details about issue or making sure if it was the issue. He checked my son’s lungs while he was wearing winter jacket and barely spent 2 mins in total for two patients. I think cpso complaint is necessary against dr. Abounaja. They just want to see more patients for the turn over. Don’t even spend time listening to patients. Worst clinic ever.

The receptionist dont care who comes first. I came first than others and a few patients were accommodated earlier than me. I looked up to the receptionist and i saw her reaction that she forgot that i was there first. I asked about my health card and she gave it back to me. Usually when i went there, it will only take a minute and she will return my health card and said wait for my turn.

Despite me being very respectful to her; she was very disrespectful and were shouting. I’m not sure why they hire such people from the streets.

It was my first time going to this clinic and I went in last minute during thanksgiving and sadly, there were no appointments available for walk in but the medical office assistant (Sarah) went above and beyond to help me out during my visit; although the clinic was so busy at the time, she made sure that I got the help that I needed at the time and was able to squeeze me in for walk ins. Wonderful staff!

We went in on Friday, they diagnosed my 16 mths old daughter with pink eye (without an examination) and prescribed her medication that is not for under 2. They provided no instructions for dosage, frequency, or duration. Tried getting the info for a few days. Found out from a pharmacist it was the wrong medication. Tried reaching them by phone to discuss if the doctor made a mistake or had a reason for the prescription, they told me to call back after 1:30 when the doctor would be present. Since then, they've ignored every phone call attempt for all three of their phone numbers. Other issues with this place too but that's an important one to share. Another thing to note, when we went back on the Sunday (cause they neglected to do an actual exam on the Friday where they would have discovered her ear, nose, and throat infection) they told us for the baby room we would be waiting about 20 minutes to see the physician... We were there about two hours waiting. Unacceptable. And as an FYI about the review who says everyone complaining about customer service to grow up, I am pretty confident he has some connection to this clinic because he complains about customer service and waiting in his other reviews, so clearly it does actually matter.

This clinic has been great an even The Best! The members of staff are quite efficient and professional.I have met couple of doctors and been attended to really well.
Recommend it if you don’t have a family doctor. They do the follow ups or provide appointments without having to wait too long. Or even if you call and follow up its pretty quick.
The place is so clean and the built in pharmacy is a bonus.

This is a prime example of a clinic trying to make money at any cost unless they think we are stupid. My mom has an undelying liver condition liver chirosis. It has been over 6 months since she has been diagnosed. Our family doctor has not reffered to the specialist yet. I have taken my mom to the emergency 7 to 8 times. I requested the emerg doctor to refer to the specialist he said your family doctor should do it and he put a note on the reports being sent. They still has not reffered, apparantly you have to see the doctor first prior to him refferring. My mom can hardly walk or function properly I still took her to see the office. Front desk was very un professnal and told us to come back Monday. Dirty people. I have a lot respect for doctors, however not for this kind of stupidity. Find a better doctor and I am glad I dont here for my issues.

Yesterday I went to this doctor office to get a blood test, and so I waited 3 hours, and I almost fainted. Then I was called in and a new lady was the one who did it, and she was poking too hard on the spot, that it felt like it was touching my bone. Even today it hurts very bad! I had a very bad experience, and I will never go here again to take a blood test.

Absolutely great clinic! Im not sure whats the dr’s name, but he sounds like he is Guyanese from his accent.He solved my medical problem with 5 bloody pills that my other family Dr the past 3 years in Canada failed to resolve. The money i wasted with that Fam Dr! I see some of the entitled and negative comments about service, ITS ALL IRRELEVANT, clearly you are not sick, if u really need help with ur medical treatment u would sit and be patient till u get your dr to work his magic, go complain about waiting long and non smiling receptionists at WALMART, you are here for treatment! Not to say bad customer service is acceptable but grow up and get what u came for. The service from the girls is also very lovely btw! :)

Excellent service! ALL the staff from front desk, to nurses, doctors and pharmacists truly amazing. I had an accidental mix up and showed up to their clinic thinking I had an appointment. They saw my struggles and did they very best to help me out and made me feel so welcomed. I was there at 630 when they were about to close at 7 and they still went up and beyond all my expectations to provide me with the best care and service. I would highly recommend going back and would for certainly do so myself. Thank you everyone at Progress Centre Medical! Without you guys I would not have been able to return to my work today and be back to a functioning person!

My family and I have been Dr. Jindal’s patients for over 20 years and I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor . He is patient , professional and caring . He is detailed and follows up . We saw Dr.vijayaratnam for our kids and he wasn't helpful at all. We asked for vaccine which was due and he told us to come back another day. Its ridiculous we booked an appointment for vaccine to be told come back without any good reason. When we asks questions he always reply sarcastically. Its insulting how he treat patience. Very rude and unprofessional paediatrician. Doesn't communicate with kids at all. I had a traumatic experience at his office for a vaccine appointment for my son. When he started crying seeing the needles, instead of trying to pacify him with a conversation or even politely declining with a "maybe let's try another time" ; he threw our vaccine cards on the table in anger and told us "leave and don't come here again, don't waste my time" .All of us including the kids were very startled by his rage. He hardly spent 3 minutes with us . "Don't waste my time" says the man who comes to see us 45 minutes late for our appointment and hardly spends 3 minutes on the consultation.

I directly spoke to the doctor asking him nicely how long is the wait since I was waiting for more than one hour and he was very rude in responding me. He said in a rude tone you came late so I made you wait on purpose and if you don’t like then you can leave. What kind of doctor speaks to patients like this. I told him i don’t want to be seen by him and left the clinic. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr. Krisanne Mendelssohn was my Doctor for 28 years until she retired. She is the best doctor, I have ever had. Excellent bedside manner, always made me feel calm, always knew what the problem was

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mendelssohn during a walk in visit. Her bedside manner is impressive. She is one of the most friendly, caring, knowledgeable, competent and down to earth professionals I know. I’ve been looking for a new family doctor but during this time in a pandemic it’s been extremely difficult. I am truly fortunate to have found her. I feel confident that I am in good hands. I have now referred my other family members to her.

I went to Dr. Mendeelssohn years ago and she was a good doctor but it was unfortunate that it was years later that they diagnosed me with bi polar disorder with generalised anxiety disorder and I was on modecate for 16 years through another doctor and then through a psychiatrist am on lithium and seroquel and no longer have any problems. She would be glad to hear the outcome of my situation

My wife is Dr. Ali’s pstient. She has been, for a number of years. From what my wife has shared with me, Dr. Ali is a thoughtful, caring physician, generous with her time and advice. She offers first rate medical care. We need more physicians like her.

Doctors are never there had to miss 2 days of work because they cancelled the day of both times i booked an appointment. Doctors are never there. Receptionist lie to people. Only good thing about this place is the attactive receptionist. Thats all. Other then that might as well go to walk in clinic. At least they wont cancel on u a hour before...

My family and I are extremely happy with the outstanding care we receive from this Clinic. Dr Aaron Low has to be the most wonderful doctor everyone would dream of having . His patience, tolerance, understanding and care make you feel well just talking to him. His staff! Wow! the most loving accommodating, friendly and helpful. I have to mention Mary Tess and Shushan, great job. I wish there were more people like these in this world. Thank you all and God bless you.

The nurses at this clinical are amazing! Friendly,courteous and extremely helpful. Dr.Low is one of the nicest,most helpful doctors around. I've never had a bad experience and would recommend them to everyone.

Great customer service! Didn’t have to wait for too long. Receptionist are nice and very welcoming. Dr. Lau seems a bit rough ( just the way he speaks) but he took my concerns seriously and addressed them professionally which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Never going there again. I went in there with a sprained ankle. Didn’t wait long like most others, which is the only upside.
A young doctor met with me. Examined me for all of 2 minutes before determining that I need to go to the emergency :s. Very reluctant to follow up and even provide xray requisition. Kept justifying on why i need to go to the emergency. Much like a robot.
Not impressed and don’t recommend! There’s another medical centre a minute away on Finch, just east of Warden. Much friendlier and knowledgeable doctor and great service overall!

Worst Walk in clinic in Toronto. They want you to get an appointment and when you call in for an appointment they don't have any available. Defeats the whole purpose of a walk in clinic. I went there to get a blood test for school which I had to submit before Friday. So even after 1 week of the test results out i am not able to get an appointment just to print my test results ( the result don't matter, I just have to submit the document).
Not to mention the arrogance the receptions have (except the lady with the colored hair). The two Asian ladies think that they are paying patients to come to their clinic.
If any one looking for a walk in clinic, think twice before going here. There are a number of walk ins in that area
