I'm 54 and in the best mental and physical shape of my adult life. I've lost 40 pounds of fat, gained a bunch of muscle, and Truhit North Boise is a big piece of my health & fitness plan. It's not enough at my age to work solely on retaining muscle. There's also loss of balance and mobility that often come with aging. All of my workouts at Truhit provide a mix of functional movement, endurance, conditioning and strength training, and someone else plans it all out for me.There's always a coach to check my form, offer modifications or push me to get that last rep. And being in a class with other members motivates me to show up (it's fun) and do my best. I have big goals - my first obstacle race is coming up this summer - and I'm working toward them at each class.
Great gym! Love the positive encouraging environment and how nice the place is. Great way to get and stay in shape.
This is a great gym. Clean and machines are always working. Four stars is for the only men's shower sometimes missing the curtain.
This is the best gym I’ve ever been to. Very supportive coaching and helpful tips. Willing to take the time to help you figure out your form/modify something to help you. Great sense of camradery in the gym, everyone is always encouraging and supportive. Great and challenging workouts. I’ve never really been a gym person and now I’m looking forward to going everyday.
IFF on Cole is a great gym, always clean, staff is friendly and helpful. 24 hour access is a plus. The new Matrix equipment is awesome. Love the upgrade to new, user friendly equipment!

Amazing venue! So cool and soooooooo many venues on the floor. Roll out bouncy mat was fun for kiddos
Party room was upstairs with 360 degree view of kiddos playing over 4 ft rails. Jessica was so fun and super helpful decorating and manage kid time , when to eat Pizza (actually way better than Chunky Cheese ever was!) and when to break the party room down. Jessica was so amazing! Oh, and you can run a tab for either beer or coffee drinks. sweet!!! Great way to meet school mate's parent's, leading to babysitting for an evening Mom's Night Out, and a ROPES Course. Amazing!!!!
Excellent personal training. Trainers who really care and go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. They know how to push you to the limit in the best way possible with your workouts. You will not leave disappointed! I highly recommend checking this gym out.

This place is awesome! The gym equipment is top notch and well spaced out. It also isn’t overcrowded. Great place to get a pump and do other functional fitness activities. Will definitely be coming back here.
I love that the workouts are always different and there’s thought put into the programming for each class. The gym is clean and they have a large variety of equipment they incorporate into each class. The coaches are very welcoming and do a great job of explaining each of the movements and correcting your form as needed. Highly recommend!
I started at TruHit North Boise in January with a trial class after doing my own thing at a local “big box” gym for a few years. Having never done a class routine before, I was a bit nervous. It was such a great workout, atmosphere, and vibe that I signed up for a membership immediately.

All the coaches and the owner are great. They really care about you as a person and what you’re trying to accomplish in your fitness goals. There is a big emphasis on proper form, and coaches will always help you nail it down if a movement is unfamiliar. There’s an awesome variety of exercises each day to focus on different parts of the body, and each first Monday of the month switches up the routine to keep things fresh.

I highly recommend TruHit North Boise, and wish I had found it sooner!
It's one of the best gyms ever!!!
Sadly, I had to leave because i moved to the other side of town. 100 % would recommend.

This fitness center is top-notch, always clean and well-maintained. The trainers are knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely care about helping you reach your fitness goals. Whether you're into group classes or prefer one-on-one sessions, they have something for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, making it easy to stay motivated. If you're looking for a gym that goes above and beyond, Jack City Fitness is the place to be!
Probably the worst gym I've ever been to. I went to meridian n McMillan and chinden locations for several years. They were ok. Nothing great but decent I guess. State st is bad. Cables are way outdated, serious lack of equipment and everything is outdated. If meridian costs $35 this location should be $20.
Great equipment selection, well maintained, affordable, great vibe, and friendly staff - everything you would hope for in a gym. Highly recommended!

Ps: they’ve got a React trainer machine that will do magic on your quads.
Stopped in to check out Jack City while I was back in Idaho. The staff is absolutely phenomenal, it’s one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to, and it has new equipment with a great set up! I will be back, thanks Jack City team for creating a great workout environment.
Only allowing guests during staffed hours is a big detractor. Also, the facility at this location is poorly ventilated so they leave the emergency exit door open during the day. This completely defeats the purpose of having controlled access to the location and the emergency exit also happens to be located immediately next to the lockers which are not located inside a restroom.

The equipment is mostly new and in decent repair. I have not seen anything broken yet, although there appear to be many reviews stating equipment goes down for long periods of time.

During peak hours there isn’t much room, only a few squat racks available and the floor isn’t very large.

All in all, it’s a pretty middle of the road gym. I am a member solely out of location convenience, though I am tempted to go back to making a 20min bike commute to and from Axiom in East Boise again, as the lack of physical security at this gym and its proximity to the center of the homeless population in Boise is a significant detractor.
I have been working out at TruHit North Boise for over a year and I love it. The gym is kept very clean, the equipment is excellent, coaches are knowledgeable and professional and they have recently implemented some new programming that is really really good! Loving the new workouts! The Feb Bingo is a nice challenge too. #realtorswholift
When equipment breaks, it’s basically broken for good with an “out of order” sign on it. They have a $40 annual “maintenance” fee in addition to the monthly fee, it’s CLEARLY not going to keeping the equipment in good shape, so where’s it going?
Aside from the amazing affordable price, I love the owners who go above and beyond to always help or answer questions, including Moss & Maple (you know it's a great place when attendees are bringing in treats specifically for them!)
The gym is always clean and equipment is available. I thoroughly enjoy my community of people I have gotten to know at my regular workout time and it feels like a little family. As someone who was timid to be in a gym after many years away, I am so grateful I found this little gem.

I looooooved this place. I am a personal trainer a hobby of mine is gym hopping! And I vibe of this place was just amazing! SO ORGANIZED AND CLEAN 😍😍🤩which is such a huge deal friendly staff and members! They have space to play ! Things other gyms I have been to do not offer like a monkey bar machine, and ski machines ! I will definitely be returning if you are in the area Jack City Fitness is the place to go they have classes and some awesome trainer in there check it !! Thank you guys for letting me visit ❤️
The staff at this gym are friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They keep the gym very clean. Nice locker/changing rooms with showers. Restrooms are always clean. Jess, personal trainer, has worked with me providing encouragement, proper use of equipment etc. I strongly encourage taking the time to do the “Success Session”. Adequate amount of cardio and weight machines as well as free weights, TRX and a stretching area. I look forward to my workouts and the infrared sauna and hydro massage after. They also have two, stand up tanning rooms. Great gym. Try it!
A year after canceling, still being charged. After 3 different managers tell me, 2 in email that I can send to anyone who asks… with them saying “don’t worry, now it’s for real and you won’t have anymore charges and we waved the fees (that weren’t even mine in the first place) and you’re good to go…” then STILL CHARGES. How do I get 4 people to cancel my membership… yet still get charged? Be careful

I was in Boise for the week and stopped by Jack City Fitness for a day pass. The gym fantastic and is one of my favorite gyms I have been to. The owner was very nice and let me try the gym for free. The gym layout is well thought out, they have an excellent selection of equipment, the equipment is high quality, and the gym is very clean. Anytime I return to Boise, I will be stopping by to buy a week pass.

Great gym! safe, friendly, clean, good quality equipment, weights and cardio equipment. I appreciate the diversity of the members, and Jerome the owner is friendly and listens to member concerns and ideas. I have been working out at this location since August and it feels good to know I’ve made some gym friends who support and challenge me with workouts when I arrive. Come check it out.

This is my favorite gym in the Boise area. The whole place is clean and the staff and guests are very friendly. I rarely have to wait for machines or racks or benches. All the cardio equipment is brand new top of the line stuff and the weightlifting equipment is great too.
One of the worst gym experiences I have had. It’s hard enough to get to the gym for an older, overweight woman; however, the female manager really cut me to the bone. Avoid this gym…your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Anytime Fitness has been my gym for over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say! The 24/7 access fits seamlessly into my busy schedule, and the variety of equipment ensures I can always hit any muscle I need to. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. The cleanliness and organization of the gym create a welcoming atmosphere, making each visit a positive experience. If you’re looking for a gym that allows you to work on your best self, walk into this gym🫶🏼

Great place to work out. The owners/employees super friendly always working super hard to keep it one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. Great equipment. I tried a gym near this one it was more expensive and horrible equipment. Glad I took the free trial. Signed up immediately. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent gym and great atmosphere for working out in a clean and nonjudgmental environment!!!

Equipment is well maintained and kept clean by very friendly and helpful staff members.

Not an overcrowded place at all.

Just the right size to have everything you would want in a gym without feeling like you're in a giant warehouse full of anonymous people.
I used to go to the State Street location but when I moved this one was closer so I switched and was worried I wouldn't like it. Everyone is super nice, the staff are very helpful and it's always clean. They have all the equipment I need, and I've learned the best times of day to go with the least amount of people lol. Though the other people who go have all been very friendly.
I really like this place. Workout Anytime seems so clean and personable. I have been to alot of fitness clubs and 24 hour gyms but W.A is. simple, clean and the decor is energetic. The amenities are great. I KNOW this company is going to grow. I honestly think it is way better than the rest of the anytime fitness type clubs.

Went to my first class today at Ascent! The location was super convenient and the facility is clean and has all the equipment you need for class.

My instructor was Chad for the core class and he was great! The class was challenging but still doable (I definitely had to take a few breaks). Chad explained everything in detail, was encouraging, and did the workout with the class.

I felt like I got a perfect balance of being pushed and challenged while also the understanding that it was tough! Haha.

I’m doing the free week trial right now which is also a really cool feature that they have. Highly recommend.

Great so far! They have all of the important machines to help me build muscle and lose weight. The only downside is they have only one trainer. Yes there are dogs there in the mornings which I love! I don't see fur in the gym at all.

Staff is super rude at this location.

Update/Edit: Idaho Fitness Factory never called back nor attempted to get back in touch. Blatantly lying to protect your public ‘image’. I would have been understanding had you called back with an apology and what happened, but you didn’t. I have left voicemails for this location in the past and they never responded to me nor acknowledged my message(s) left.
I just walked into the State street location and I asked the gentleman who helped me, the prices for membership. He was not kind, like why would I ask that question. He gave me a sour look. I asked if I could look around and he said, sure if you want. He didn't even offer me a tour of the facility. I looked around and left. Was not a good feeling.
I attend Ed's classes in the morning, they're fun and he's a great instructor. Emma is also great, I always love her classes. She is knowledgeable and energetic and always makes her class fun

Absolutely filthy inside. Kids used wipes after and it was like they played in the dirt outside. No thank you! Clean your mats please before kids get sick. Also if your going to direct a group you need someone to show them how to use the equipment.
Such a bummer. The lady that checked us through was super pleasant.
Have a membership at the YMCA. Still have that over priced monster just for the pool and supervised kid care...But I prefer my "little gym" (IFF) I go very late at night after work. Have always felt safe and comfortable. Love the Cole location. I really like the layout at Cole. The bathroom/locker rooms are always clean.. which I appreciate. I am closer to the State location. Love the "midnight gym rats" IFF members at State location. Non judgemental sweaty folks just putting in the grind. Only down side to State location.. always smells like over cooked rames. But nothing an air freshener can't fix right?!?!
Perfect little gym.

Visiting from out of town and their guest pass is the perfect price, just have to make sure you go while the staff is there, check their hours if plan on visiting.

Plenty of equipment for every type of lifter. Plenty of cardio equipment.

I'll be back next time I'm out this way.

Thanks for a good workout 💪
I enjoy skiing with family and friends. TruHit work outs have enhanced my balance, my core strength, and endurance! The trainers are like having your own personal trainer! They are professional and supportive of your goals. They teach the techniques at every station and modify your workout to fit your ability. If you’re looking for results this is the place. No pressure, just a great atmosphere of support!
This is a great little gym. It is clean and has a good variety of machines and free weights. The option to ride Pelotons is super cool and the classes are fun.
Just beware of their fees! I’m a medical student traveling for school, so I only need four week gym memberships. I paid for a single month and the start up fee up front. Then a month later I saw an additional charge on my credit card. When I called to ask about it, they said I was set up for month-to-month. They cancelled it but could not refund that charge because I was “supposed to” pay “last month’s” fees when I signed up, but the employee did not charge me that. Had I known it would end up being $150 for a single month, I would not have signed up.
Good gym, but definitely a little iffy to charge a customer for an employee’s mistake after the fact!

A very laid back environment with plenty of room for your kids to run free! The playground has a lot different activities to keep the kids entertained for hours. I have to say, I’m really impressed with this place. Even the food/snacks, and drinks. I ordered a chai tea (which was delicious) and half cheese flatbread and it was the perfect little snack for my 2 boys and I. There’s couches and tables with chairs for parents to sit at. It’s very clean, organized, and great staff!

I am beyond grateful for the infant caregivers at Bodies In Motion. They are so kind and caring of my four month old. I have a variable work schedule and they are always patient and willing to accommodate. My child is happy and well cared for, it is such a stress relief for me. The facility is clean, fun, and every infant had their own space. It’s an all around an excellent place. I’m never leaving! :)

My kids and I love this place! It’s magical and very comfortable. The staff is amazing. Great deli/café/bar. So many fun things to do :) It truly has made our summer so awesome! Summer camp has been a blast for my son & he’s looking forward to starting preschool there with his sister. I feel very grateful to have discovered Bodies in Motion. Keep up the great work team!
Gym is nice but there's never equipment available unless you go at an extremely odd hour. 5-9p every rack and bench is taken almost the whole time. Every single week day...

Super annoying to have a gym which can't supply enough equipment for the # of people who attend.

Probably switching soon. Good gym, but overgrown their location here.

The new machines took awhile to get used to (very gradually) but it’s nice to log into my account on each cardio machine and track past workouts, progress, and set future goals. Changing visuals on the monitors is nice as well. The abrupt change wasn’t my favorite (especially now there only being one standing bike) but other than that, staff is consistently kind, welcoming, and responsive. Towels are always available and at multiple stations throughout the facility; not the case at big gyms. There is a kid or two running around here and there like the other reviewers have reported but they’ve never prevented me from using equipment in the facility so I don’t mind them.
I’ve been enjoying working out here. They’ve really been proactive about keeping the place clean during the covid pandemic and have made rags and cleaner readily available to that patrons can do their part. Lots of hand sanitizer. I like that it’s open 24/7. If it had rubber plates and deadlift platforms I would give it five stars.
I like this gym a lot. It's quiet, clean, and inexpensive. If all you want is a good place to workout, you should be good to go with IFF. They have group classes and stuff, but I wouldn't know much about that.

I'm a runner, so the only issue I have is that I don't really need a gym in the warmer months. If it were easier to suspend my service during the warmer seasons, that would be nice. As it is, they require you to come into the office to do that, and as I'm writing this, we're in the midst of a deadly epidemic. Leaving the house for that reason isn't just inconvenient, it's dangerous to me, it's potentially dangerous for other people.

The woman I spoke with on the phone on two occasions could not have sounded less interested in any of that. Maybe because I said I wanted to pause my membership.

Like I said, I like this gym. If you want an affordable, quiet, clean gym, you can't beat it. But, I'm sad to say, managing my account is a little inconvenient and the customer service experience I had (which might differ from location to location), just wasn't very good.
The crew is awesome. The gym is super clean. I was impressed as everyone pitched in to clean up. The manager Austin had a rag in hand. Classes John and Austin teach are awesome. If you are downtown it is the best gym and a good networking spot. Say hello to Chris, Karly or Courtney at the front desk.
Ascent Life is great because I know I’m getting the most out of my workouts. When I went to conventional gyms I had no idea how to lift or what to do. Now I just show up to the gym and my workout is written by someone who knows what they’re doing and I have a trainer who can correct my form if needed and give me tips. It’s like having a personal trainer at every session. They also have an online option if you can’t make it to the gym in person you can watch videos of that days work out. The staff is super friendly and fun. I would highly recommend, especially if you want to get in shape fast for a big event like a wedding!
I recently completed an 8 week “choose your transformation” challenge with Ascent Life Fitness. I am beyond pleased not only with my results, but also the quality of and accountability from the trainers at ascent. My own personal goal in starting the challenge was to get back into a gym routine and exercise 4x a week - the fact that I enjoyed the workouts, trainers, and atmosphere made this easy to accomplish. After two knee surgeries and subsequent weight gain, I was not confident in what my body could actually do. Katie is one of the most amazing trainers I’ve worked with, and was always cognizant in classes of the fact that I have chronic knee pain and was quick to offer suggestions on how to modify but still get a great work out. This 8 week challenge was the perfect way to kickstart a routine when you may be lacking motivation or the confidence to do so; I would 100% recommend the classes at ascent.
Recently I participated in an 8 week challenge with Ascent. I had a goal to lose 12lbs, the remaining weight I wanted to lose after having had a baby 6 months ago. Ascent provided the tools necessary to shred those pounds. Although I didn't reach that goal fully, I did lose 8 lbs. I am happy that I lost more than half of that goal. As I said they provided me with the tools necessary to do so. Not only did I get a great workout in each day but coupling that with a food plan really helped to lose that weight. Ascent also offers a body scan so you can track your progress to see how you're doing and where you need improvements, if any. That was another thing that helped with my goal. If you're like me, someone who hates using machines at the gym because you have no idea what to do, then Ascent is definitely the place to go. The classes are just that, a class. You'll be working out with others and having a trainer lead the class. No thinking about what you should do next. Just follow their lead. The classes are designed to accommodate all types of people. They are not easy by any means. Each workout is meant to push you hard to lose that weight AND build muscle. You will walk away feeling so good! I will definitely be doing another challenge to lose the remaining 4 lbs as well as build muscle. Thank you Ascent for helping me reach my weight loss goals!

This gym exceeds my expectations time after time. The dedication to having top of the line equipment and quality group training classes both impress me. Group classes have great music and work up a sweat. The level of cleanliness is better than any other gym I have attended. No complaints whatsoever!
When I was given the tour of the gym I was taken away by how well the gym was taken care of. If you enjoy a clean and respectful environment as your gym setting, then this is the place. The locker rooms are full of amenities and they are improving their free weights! Gotta love a place that takes care of the customers and improves the business. Definitely recommend!!

I finished a 6 week challenge with FitMania as well, and it changed my life. It sounds like such a short time, but so much can be accomplished in those few weeks, and I will forever be grateful that I did it! It showed me what I am physically and mentally capable of doing. The trainers' energy is contagious and palpable, and the nutrition advice and guidelines were invaluable. I never felt invisible in the classes, and the trainers kept me aware of proper form at all times. What a great experience all around!
The 24/hr access accompanied with clean restrooms, equipment, fresh towels for wiping down equipment, along with an accountable staff, makes this place a wonderful gym to loose weight, or just stay in shape. This gym has a cost effective model for the average person to afford. That being said, it is one of the best gyms in town minus a pool or spa area.
FitMania is great place to work out! I completed their 6-week challenge and I am very happy with my results. The program really works and the trainers, staff and member are awesome! Everyone is very supportive and motivating. I wish I heard of FitMania a lot earlier. Highly recommend it.

I just completed a 6 week fitness challenge at FitMania. I’m completely blown away from the owners to the trainers to the gym members on down. It is a positive experience across the board. The truth holds at FitMania that, if you get yourself in the door, they will take care of you from there. The meal plans are realistic but incredibly healthy for you. The workouts switch every week. So that you stay challenged, while also noticing both weight loss results and increased strength, endurance, and flexibility. If you are looking for a boot camp facility to get you started on your fitness journey, whether it’s been a week or ten years since you’ve been to the gym, the motivational, supportive staff and members at FitMania have you covered. Highest recommendation😃!
This review will be broken down into two parts the pros and the cons. As you can see I gave it five stars so in my opinion the pros far outweighs any cons of this facility has.
Pro
(1) Equipment at the facility is in very good shape and there is a nice variety of things for both resistance training and cardiovascular training.

(2) Open 24 hours. While the gym is not staffed 24 hours a day as a member you have access to the gym to exercise whenever you would like.

(3) Clean locker rooms with private showers. The men’s locker room is small yet sufficient for the volume of clients that are usually in gym.

(4) Unbeatable price. For only $15 a month you have full access the gym 24 hours a day.

Con
(1) No pool

(2) No spa/sauna

Overall this is a great gym to workout in. They may not have everything but, they have more than enough for most people.

Can't be more proud about my home gym! It all starts with a great staff! Friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals! I've seen plenty of amazing transformations over the years, which is definitely the proof in the pudding!

Then there's the gym itself...clean and includes all the necessary amenities (equipment/classes/locker room, etc.) to accommodate whatever fitness goals you plan to crush! ~Dallas
Great gym. No complaints. It's not the biggest and baddest, but for only $15 a month, you can't really complain. It has all of the equipment I need for my workouts. (Which is fairly basic to be honest. Take that for what you want.) It's clean, and the staff is friendly. Go check it out!
24 hour access with nice equipment. The staff is very friendly and do a great job of keeping everything clean. The gym goers also do their part by racking up their own equipment , so it really makes it a nice environment to be in.
This gym is wonderful!

The entire staff is so gracious and knowledgeable! The workout classes are amazing, and the facility itself is top notch! I have been to dozens of gyms and The Gym is by far one of if not the best in the valley!

I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a unique, private, and exceptional gym experience!
I just moved here to Boise from Salt Lake City. This Cole Rd. location was 3 minutes from my house so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a great price, no contract, and 24/7 access--that's hard to beat. The equipment is new and is kept clean. The staff is friendly and the patrons are very courteous. A big plus for me is that it is not crowded even when I go right after work. It has everything I need and I can see myself staying here for a long time. I have had memberships at 4 gyms now in different states, and I can confidently say that this is the best choice for a great gym in this area.
This is a great gym! All of the staff/members are very friendly and the gym is always clean. It is a smaller gym, but it has everything you need to get a good workout in. I love that it is only $15 a month and no contract. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone. Thanks for the great experience.
This gym is great! Rarely busy and always clean. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Machines are always functioning correctly and when they are not staff is quick to fix. The bonus here for me is that 24 hour access. Since I work late I can come and go as I please.
By far the best gym I've ever been a member at! I love it because it doesn't have the same atmosphere of a large gym. It is small enough for you to feel right at home but large enough to have all of the equipment and space you need. I like that it is very affordable, open 24 hours, and is rarely ever crowded. I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a new gym.
Awesome Gym! Very clean, convenient, affordable, and not too crowded! I've been a member at IFF for 2 years now and I really appreciate having 24 hour access and its a great deal too. Equipment is up to date and staff does a fantastic job cleaning and maintaining the gym. Highly recommend to anyone!

Fit Mania has been a great place to workout. I seriously crave the workouts everyday. I have only been going for about a month now but I can already tell I am getting stronger and becoming a healthier person. The trainers are very kind and will help you continue to push yourself. I love the food tips they give at the end of the workouts as well. Its helping me become a healthier me!
