***Scam in the meat-section*** - মাংস শেকশনের বাটপারি

"Come back after paying the bill or complete the rest of your shopping" - sounds familiar? -- বিল টা পে করে আসেন, অথবা আরও বাজার থাকলে সেরে আসেন।

I bought meat from this shop around 4,5 times. Each time they said this and I was praying so that don't change the meat while I'm paying. I didn't notice any major issue with the meat after making payment before.

But, this time after giving me the receipt the new employee didn't tell me such thing and I thought maybe this time they are not even thinking of doing any scam or anything. Unfortunately, this time they finally did it. Trust me the chunk of meat looked fresh when I chose it. While cooking I noticed something is not right and ignored. But while eating it was obvious that the meat was very old and in bad condition. Thank god, we didn't get sick. My assumption is either they mix old meat with the selected meat or totally swap it. Never going back to Ababeel Supermarket for meat again.

It's very disappointing to see how our fellow “deshi” people scam their own like this! No wonder non-Bangladeshi people avoid these shops.

Meat section is the worst in these shops, that's a fact. Not maintaining a queue is the common issue you’ll notice first. Usually they don’t behave rude. Is there any shop in this area where we can buy meat without worrying about not getting scammed??

I been to this place for fish.... But they are not helpful at all ... Very rude behaviour by those store people, very bad way they treat their customers .... Not recommended at all
They're very customer friendly and prices are very competitive with good quality.
The above review was given after my very 1st visit. In that visit I saw some of the products including my ones were good. I was happy that time, which led me to visit the grocery store again on March 30, 2024. This time, I bought 4 Hisha fishes. I asked and demonstrated the saw cutter to cut and portion my fishes to my satisfaction. He understood my directives peacefully. Unfortunately, at the time of delivery, I saw the cutting was very bad, which actually spoiled my expensive fishes. They accepted their fault but declined to replace the faulty product. It appears to me that the cutters and staff were not skilled as they hire these types of unskilled people to augment their profit, and they don't compromise profit in whatever situation. I requested them to do something to resolve the matter, but they didn't care. I tried not to give any negative reviews as I thought if the products were good, I wouldn't leave any review on this issue. But after I ate the Hilsha Fishes, I was very unhappy with the product quality. It was tasted very bad, which led me to garbage their product.
You can tell the store is bad by the respond of the owner to the negative comments.. Sadly, No business Skills... This is not how you deal with your customers even if they were on fault..
If you need to be a successful business you need to take a different attitude.
This store is not good. The workers are rude. I prefer the Bangladeshi store next door. It is much better (Surma) . They have better service.

Its a good place to buy any household thing and groceries.
This is a revived one with new options and products. Their meat and fish section is better than the others. But we need to wait and see what happens in the long run. For the time being 4 ⭐. Prices are significantly higher than the others.
I think it’s more than a year and I am yet to get a small refund. I bought a pack of Kala Jeera rice and they charged me for two. They also added a frozen fish to my cart that was actually not mine. My wife called them later and provided all the details. They said they will get back shortly which they never did. My wife again called them after a month. They said they will refund the money and we provided our email address for etransfer. We never got that e-transfer. It’s not a big amount but it shows how bad they serve their customers. I don’t go to that store anymore. In canada, I have seen companies sending refunds where postal ticket cost is higher than the refund amount.

Decent prices and have a variety of products. But some of the guys in the seafood and meat are very rude and impatient. They often have quarrels with their customers.
Staff are not very friendly. Most staff can not speak English or refuse to speak it.
Remember to keep your receipts or no refunds.
Meats not fresh, be careful when you buy any kind meat here
Quality products with reasonable price. Well maintained Srilankan groceries in GTA.
Their beef and duck sourcing is really very good. I would say best in the city. I tried lots of different community shops for beef. But end up here. Hopefully they will continue this. Another addition recently is fresh fish from bangladesh. Only concerned thing is very unpleasant smell inside the shop which seemingly runny washroom condition.
I got scammed with price on 9 december 2023 the chips on rack was $1.25 but the bill was $2.25 !! There is no any barcode on the product and expiring date !! What kind of service the shop giving to the customers??? The worst Man !! And the same chips I bought on 26th December 2023 It was $1.25 what the heck is this ??????
You can get All Tamil grocery in one place. But don’t expect cleanest store.

Advice to store : please make store pleasant with good ambiance, since you are earning good money.

The two wonderful gentlemen working the photo counter were incredible kind, patient and helpful. They even taught me new tricks with my Google Drive. I hope management of store and head office ask them for how they so easily turn customer frowns upside down and parry our issues into solutions. Well done gents!

Those two helped me print pictures that are gifts for our sponsors of the Treat Accessibly movement to help kids with disabilities get to have a traditional barrier free trick or treat. So gents. You did your good deed for the month by helping us!
Your driver was in a hurry to get to markham from Ajax. Was doing 100km and overtaking and cutting of cars...unfortunately I can't post video. But here are the photos.

Wonderful selection of Asian ingredients, both packaged and fresh. Fresh meat and fish reasonably priced. They have fresh lime leaves!
Good selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, seafood & and meats. Limited to none non-Asian pantry items, such as soups, etc.

The selection is decent and the location is convenient because it's central. But the items can be a bit overpriced and the staff are rude. I'd rather travel the extra short distance and shop at the Dundas location for better service. Or shop at T&T.
Great store. Good prices for fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish - they have a butcher and fish counter. Check out is pretty quick. Good selection of spices.

They add a 50 cent fee to all transactions under 20, even if you pay in cash. This is not clearly disclosed, nor does the cashier warn you.

The market a bit further east on the same side of the street is vastly better and doesn't resort to unfair business practices.

The quality of products and cleanliness is also better.

Never again.
Great supermarket for fresh vegetable at good price. Always fresh especially green leafy veges.
Very spacious and with a lot if variety of goods.. However bit difficult to find the stuff.. Been walking around asking from the staff to find a certain item but no one knew and couldn't find it..

I have just been racially profiled at this Walmart. The common insulting habit of store associates asking Black customers to see receipts of items in their personal shopping bags. I had just come from Canadian Tire with a toilet seat, in a visibly non-Walmart shopping bag. Shopped using the cart placing Walmart items besides my bag, removed items to be cashed out, paid for them. As I was packing Walmart items into my shopping bag the associates asks to see the receipt of the toilet seat. It doesn’t matter whether you carry the same item as the one in my bag, you have no right to think I am carrying it from your store without paying for it just because I’m black. What a demeaning way to treat Black customers, especially because this Walmart is in Etobicoke where there are a lot of newcomers, immigrants who can easily be harassed by such associates. Walmart, train your employees on micro-agressions, subconscious bias because these are all acts of racism. Do better.

Love the roasted chicken. Good flavor, not dry, not salty, and has a good smell.
Everything looked fresh, and the best for me was the gluten-free bread.. kind of pricey, butci need it. I left the store, very happy with my bread😃

Great selection of East Asian food and a homely grocer. They provide a invaluable service by having stock of good I've rarely seen in other shops and restaurants.

Generally the staff have issue with English but reminds me of the old Chinatown supermarkets. However it's a bit more quieter but still as busy. Their produce looks really fresh and have a large variety of meat cuts. They also have prepared items for a grab-n-go lunch. Regrettably Kimchi isn't in a lunch size portable.

If I had a better living situation, I'd shop here often just because I can get some great stuff to compliment my meal.

I love coming here and getting their taiyaki. They are usually always making fresh batches so the taiyaki tends to be fresh and hot! I personally get the one with custard as the red bean is a little heavy especially after eating a meal. One taiyaki is enough for me but you could always buy more and heat it up at home.

Metro is not for everyone. Basically it targets a specific group of clients. So either you like it or don't even bother going there.
It is a Canadian grocery store (but internationally too,) so if you are loyal to a unionized supermarket (which are rare these days,) then you are in the right place.

The store is clean, organized, but most of their merchandise can be found elsewhere much cheaper. So again Metro is not for everyone. They have specialized sections for flowers and some plants, and also liquor section.
Great when items go on sale.
Some locations are 24 hours which be edit those who work late or over night.
I hope that helps.

Standard local Metro grocery store located within Bridlewood Mall at north Scarborough.

It has all the supermarket departments. Parts of the store seems dark due to lack of bright lighting and lower ceiling. Daily fresh bread from bakery department comes out late morning, so anticipate to buy day old baked goods at store opening.

You can enter/exit via the mall side or its own doors.

My favorite location of this chain. Has lots of staff members present and there is usually ample parking on the weekends. On today's visit there were a lot of empty shelves. There seems to be a bit of a supply chain issue in the area lately, and this location of Walmart seems to be rather heavily affected.

If I could give Jian Hing Food-mart more than five stars, I would! This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves diverse groceries and unbeatable prices.

First and foremost, affordability is the name of the game here. Jian Hing Food-mart offers groceries at prices that’ll make your wallet smile. It’s a haven for those looking to stretch their budget without compromising on quality.

But what truly sets this place apart is its variety. It’s not just a Chinese supermarket; it’s a world of flavors under one roof. From Indian spices to Chinese staples and good old Canadian favorites, you’ll find it all here. It’s like taking a culinary journey around the globe with each visit.

The cleanliness and professionalism at Jian Hing Food-mart are top-notch. The store is always spotless, well-organized, and well-lit. The staff is friendly and eager to assist, making your shopping experience a breeze.

Good selection of Korean (and other Asian) grocery items. The taiyaki was good too! It was $3 each (cash only) and freshly made. Fillings include red bean and custard. I would have preferred it to be slightly more cooked/crispy but that might just be me!

My visit to "New Spice Land" was a nightmare today. Around 2 pm, I was in the restaurant, ordered a veg meals. The lady in charge was unbelievably rude, arrogant, and shockingly unprofessional. Her name is Karthika. She not only refused to serve me but also had the audacity to yell in my face in front of the other customers. This appalling behavior is utterly unacceptable, and I will never subject myself to such mistreatment again by stepping foot in that establishment.

I’m a frequent shopper here but the meat department needs immediate attention. I purchased some Goat meat today for a curry and it seems to be intentional cut sharply (almost to razor sharpness) to harm those who are buying it. This could be very dangerous to young children and especially the elderly. I would suggest the management investigate, educate and train the butchers better as this could be very dangerous or even life threatening! This is unacceptable!

It is what it is, largely a korean specialty grocer that sells many of the things you would want for any asian dish plus tons of snacks, sweets and drinks direct from Korea and other asian locales. Depending on the store size some things might be found in one and not another.

One of the BEST groceries here in Scarborough! Absolutely love their vast diverse collection of products! You can find food from all the continents of the world here! I always come out with everything I couldn't find anywhere else!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think the glee that COURSED through my veins when I saw the Asian snacks here was a little unhealthy ngl. I mean they literally had MILO, my favourite drink ever ever ever. it’s a little too sweet (and it costs a good $8) for my liking but MILO?? they also had every Korean condiment imaginable and lots of other stuff things for Asian cooking.

there was also an insane amount of ready to eat meals, sweets, snacks, frozen foods, just a sOothing bAlm for my paRchEd soUl. prices were also quite reasonable!

This place is a scam. I went to this store 2 days ago to get mutton and they gave me all fat meat like there was no meat at all. I paid about a big price for it for about $34 which was not worth it at all. They say halal meat store and they cheat like this it’s not fare for consumers like us who believe to come into a store and get the right customer satisfaction for the product. Also, I kept saying to that guy at the meat side section I want more meat he lied and said they will give a lot of meat . I have attached an image below for reference they meat in the bowl is how I got after cleaning and the rest on the side is is just fat. Worst place ever I hope someone see this review and does not go there and they need to stop cheating people like this it’s not good. We cannot afford to promote such places in canada being Canadians we have rights and such places misuse them.
Loved their pre-packed cooked meals especially the boiled pork with Kimchi, it’s a good deal. Their assortment of samyang jjajang buldak was such a delight. And finding bungeoppang here was a happy surprise!
5box for a litter of water. They implant themselves, try too hook you in with small prices, discounts and memberships then once they've made themselves necessary, bump up the prices to the stratosphere. Not one item is fairly priced.

Nice Asian Grocery Store
This grocery store not just caters to all Asian food needs, I have also found Latin American stuff such as corn flour and "Abuelita" Chocolate from Mexico. My wife found most foods reasonably priced. Meat department has one of the best deals. This store was even opened on Canada Day! This is the 2nd time we visit.
Whenever we visit Toronto we'll be doing the shopping before heading back to Ottawa. Only drawback is that it's hard to communicate with staff as most don't speak English.
I really do not understand?!
Why should fruit be expensive so that people cannot buy it and it spoils in the store?

I love this grocery store and get all my favourite greens and mushrooms here! I also love the snacks and candies they sell as well as the makeup items that are usually sold on the upper level. Now and then, there will be some charming or trendy items that I'll also pick up. There's even convenient parking behind the store for those with cars.

Superb range of Asian and European fresh produce and groceries. Very good prices and stock levels. I really like the prepared food items like Spicy Tofu! I'm lucky that it's in my neighborhood, but I assume that it must draw customers from all over the GTA.
So why operate the store to have customers shop when your just going to block aisles with skids and product. Pretty sure it’s a fire hazard, not only that boxes higher up and wrapped for safety so if you bump it they could possibly fall. Not a good idea for evening shoppers the store still has two hours before it closes

Good but not the best. They have wide selection of fresh fruits, veggies, frozen and fresh meat and fish. Lots of East Asian spices and snacks. No healthy/gluten free/lactose free products. Also, the staff is not necessarily very helpful. Some of them seem a bit aloof. But this could be a reflection of their working conditions and how (not) well they are treated by the employer. Otherwise everything seems alright.
They sold me expired flour. I called them to ask if they could exchange- I live in Montreal and I was to get an exchange when I return the expired flour to the store. When I returned to the store, they frustrated me and blamed me for buying expired flour without checking the expiry date. They were so rude & refused to give me a full refund. They gave me 1/3 of what I’d spent to buy the flour. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
And they have lied on their response below. I returned the flour full (it had expired a year before I purchased it). I called the store and told them about it, and about the next time I’d be in Toronto- they told me to bring the flour to their store when I travel for a refund or exchange. They harassed me when I returned the flour and refused to give a full refund.
This local grocery store is popular in the neighborhood mainly for their South Asian and South East Asian grocery items. They carry fairly fresh ethnic fruits and vegetables. Their fish corner contains a lot of varieties and provides services for cut and clean. The meat corner is also fairly rich with fresh and frozen products. Overall price is competitive. Look for the expiry date before buying dairy products. Management needs to emphasize cleaning of the store and customer services. They also have fairly enough parking space

This store is decent with good prices for what it is. There is not much Chinese grocery option in the area. They allow credit card charge over a certain amount and today I purchased $60 worth of groceries on my visa. After paying, the cashier realized she made a mistake and didn't charge me $3 for two watercress, instead only charged $1.79 for one. She wanted me to pay $1.2 cash which I didn't have. Instead of allowing me to pay by card again, she defaulted to taking away the one bunch of watercress! This customer service is ridiculous, my grocery was not small to begin with!
Great selection of Korean groceries as well as local Canadian ones! Pretty sure they have Chinese and Japanese food as well. Self-checkout is also available. Clean and bright.

Just came in looking to buy some late night groceries, but kept on getting uncomfortably approached by one of the male staff (not the security) with long hair (that’s tied up). Upon entering the store, no one greets you and doesn’t seem to be interested in your business. The male staff on the floor immediately gave me a dirty look and kept on following me very closely while I was shopping for groceries. If I’m not mistaken, they have a security guard present (that’s always leaning on things) that’s on the floor because I see the same security leaning on things at the Ryerson/TMU location, so I don’t understand why is the floor staff following me so closely, is lost and prevention part of their responsibility? If so better training needs to be done, especially if you are going to have floor staff trying to do the job of a security officer.

The male floor staff that decided to follow me so closely made it a very uncomfortable shopping experience as he didn’t offer any assistance nor did he greet me, he just kept following me through the aisles, eventually getting close to me near the beverage area, eventually he followed me all the way to the Gimbap area, so I decided to grab one, pay and leave the store immediately as I felt pressured to leave, ended up going elsewhere for the rest of my groceries.

The gimbap was mediocre, the rice was dry, the cuts were rough and not even, the Saran Wrap wasn’t even packaged tightly so air got in, I honestly got this because everything else didn’t look so good and I felt pressured to leave even though the store was still opened for 40mins since posting this.

Probably not returning to this if this is how you greet customers after they are looking to spend their hard earn money after they themselves have finished work, your customer service is pathetic, just like your produce quality.

Please shop elsewhere

Pat Central is my happy place coz I love all things Korean! This store has a large selection of Asian goods at reasonable price.

With their endless aisle after aisle, it's truly a foodie nirvana.

From fresh meat (love their pork jowl) and produce to prepared foods such as fiery homemade kimchi, kimbap/gimbap and various banchan sides or just grabbing some soju for a party, this place exemplifies the beating heart of Korean culture.

You can find housewares ranging from adorable pots and pan for your ramen as well as other kitchenwares like Korean portable grill for your next samgyeopsal bbq.

They also sell a small variety of Kbeauty products includings serums, toners, ampoules and moisturizers.

Every time I come here I spend hours just wandering around so make sure you make a shopping list because you will most likely get sidetracked by all the colourful and exotic Korean foods on display.
Been a regular customer here. Owner is helpful but couple of guys(meat section) are rude. Check the responses given for other low ratings you will get an idea :) FYI There is a similar bigger store near with more friendly staff if you looking for options.

Located inside the Bridlewood Mall in Scarborough. This is a huge chain and this particular branch has everything you need for your daily needs. Check out their flyers on Flipp or on their official application for the current offers. There are self checkouts available as well. They accept all kinds of payment methods. One of the Asian supermarkets available in Toronto Ontario region. Has all kinds of spices and sauces you need for your Asian or Indian cuisine. Located inside bridlewood mall in Scarborough. It has a separate meat, fish, bakery corners. They also have household items like the carpets and other useful stuff. Checkout is hassle free and there is a good amount of space to shop around. Overall, it was a good experience since its close to my house. You'll get all the Chinese cuisine that you are looking for.

Decent prices and they have a variety of goods. But the cashier lady that I met was impatient & rude in talking. Disappointed! They are only nice to Chinese buyers. When I asked her that can I place my shopping cart near the counter when I go outside to grab some fruits. But the lady was kinda impatient and talked to me loudly. I was speechless when she talked to me like that. Regarding the goods, I found a big prawn pack that they are selling price is $18.99. The same pack I bought from the Bangladesh store is only $15.
A decent Chinese grocery store that carries a wide variety of Asian and Caribbean food and spices. Reasonable prices but you will have to be careful to check best before dates especially on meats and packaged food. If you can overlook the occassional fish stench and tidiness or that you might sometimes buy expired goods…worth a visit.I especially come here for the two shelves that carry Nepali products not found elsewhere in Toronto, like Taichin, Timur, Gundruk, Sinki and rice, beans and lentils from Jumla. Also Indian snacks are cheaper here compared to Indian grocery stores.
Bangladeshi grocery store right at the bangalee para thebmain bengali area of Toronto.
Lots of fresh vegetables, meat and marinated bbq items great for grilling.
They recently started with vegetables. There is also good collection of deshi fishes.
There can be long serials to get meat and fish orders so it is better to order over phone before going there.

I bought a small bag of roasted peanuts two weeks ago. It is the worst peanuts I have ever bought. The peanuts were not mature when they were harvested and the kernels are very small. Because of this, almost all the peanut shells are half empty and peanut kernels do not taste good. The brand name is "Farmer Brand" "味香园- 咸干花生“ -正万里望花生。Please refer to the attached photo. You are advised not to buy it. If you do, you will waste your money and feel very disappointed.

I arrived in the early morning at this Walmart location. It’s always great to do the shopping at the first hour of opening because the shelves are always full. There are no empty shelves and the floor is well polished. Walmart is always a top notch retailer in the world and I always have high regards to its management. Highly recommended.
We absolutely love the Sri Lankan/South Indian food here. Their Breakfast Combo is affordable and very tasty. You get two dosas, 2 idly and a vada for around 5CAD which is amazing!
The sambar is pretty good with loads of veggies.
You also get a lot of other small tea time snacks here.

Would strongly recommend this place.
Small store with various south asian spices, snacks and other grocery items. I agree with most reviewers here in that they definitely have good quality meat. We got the goat meat from here and it tasted quite good. The staff are also friendly and service is nice. One con is it is definitely a tiny store so its harder to locate stuff and you might feel cramped up for a bit.
Great place to buy cheap short eats ..with mutton roll , samosa  and many more .

Place is always pack but the line is fast  and very organized..

Love this place for its food and price

Based on many years of experiences at H mart in different locations, their customer service level is lacking compared to the competitor, Galleria supermarket.

I emailed a customer service to express concern in the past, they never got back to me.

It is convinient to get essential Korean food items and sometimes they have good promos on items, therefore I would still shop here but that does not mean that I am happy about their quality or service.

Their prepared food/bakery items are okay, not that great. Produce is pretty fresh most of time tho.

The other day I picked up a vegetable croquette for a snack and found very excessive amount of oil ( about a table spoonful) sitting in the package. I purchased croquette from H mart many times before and it was never like this. I met with a manager so he could speak to the bakery department. Manager’s reaction was not apologetic or anything, he just came up with an excuse like it was because plastic package was closed when croquette was still hot. According to him, people were complaining about cold croquette and microwave to heat up is not available, that is why they packaged when they were still hot. Well, if they drained deep fried croquette properly before they package them, it would not be like this.

It is a shane that they don’t have any urgency to improve their customer service.
Awesome Galleria! I wish we had a Galleria this size in Midtown - Yonge and Eglinton really needs this mart! The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious with nice prices - deffo a place to check out!

An Asian supermarket that's tailored to the Chinese, Filipino and to a lesser extent, Indian community. A good size supermarket carrying a variety of grocery, fish, meats, produce and frozen items.

Aisles are clean and the store is brightly lit. Here you'll find some unique items.

Accessible from the mall and from the parking lot.

One of our favorite Asian supermarket... We love to come and shop here. They almost have everything from Asian products to the Caribbean. This is a big place. Vegetables and produce goods are good quality. Seafood i love... Prices are good and reasonable. Lots of parking. Staff are nice. They have hot food too.

Visited Yours Food Mart in January of 2022 now that it is open. It is intensely bright inside! That lifted my mood stepping in from the darkness and cold of winter. And it's fun to shop here. The music is not your usual for a grocery. There is an interesting cross section of food items including impressively large amounts of hot sauces from Asia, Caribbean, India etc. There is also the biggest selection of chicharrons I have ever seen in a Chinese grocery. The fair values that I expect are also here for basic items. The tanks of fish look healthy in the seafood section which is a good sign, as is the overall neatness and cleanliness of the store. The split aisles make it easy to navigate the floor.

Housewares are found in the adjacent Best Living shop and it looks like the prepared foods will be found in the future at Nana Bakery. There's plenty of free parking in the huge parking lot and now this mall has both Yours and a Metro and having choices is good.

On my cash out the cashier was also handling customer service duties at a separate station which bogged things down, but other than that my first visit left me with a really positive impression of a grocery store serving the community at large and I will no doubt be picking up some groceries from here again in the future.

Update March 2022: The layout of the aisles has been updated with a new orientation to make improvements to the flow and maneuverability of floor traffic.

Discovered this Korean Store while walking to the nearby subway. Couldn’t help but go in and get lost in world of Korean food. I got a packed Kimchi Fried Rice but it wasn’t spicy at all. I want to believe that their fresh food tastes good. The red bean cake was just so-so.

Somewhat tidy but that's because it's just opened. The store offers not much different from any other Asian supermarket in the city. Its prices are high and even Metro (known for its high prices) in the same mall would giggle at how high they are. If you buy only one or two bananas, instead of the whole bunch, they will charge you more per pound! This place is definitely no replacement for Price Chopper :/
Its good to have another Chinese grocery store in the neighbourhood but, I felt that it was lacking a few things more than my positive points. I will explain here.
The fish department just to your left when you enter has a good selection of seafood but when I was there I believe there was a problem with water filtering and lobsters and BC crabs where swimming in clouded water. Meat department, good selection of meats and it was brightly lit and easy to view everything. The fridge section has packaged meats from chicken to pork and was priced reasonable. Vegetable & fruit departments I thought could have been larger to carry more fresh produce but it wasn't. This grocery store caters to Chinese and to other international countries like India and Caribbean (large selection of spices) and North American products (prices are bit higher). A large selection of snacks not focusing mainly on Chinese snacks so its very limited (disappointing). What's also disappointing was the little selection of instant noodles (No Nissin instant noodles).
You will realize after you walk around the aisles that things aren't really where they should be shelved and might just be put in there to fill in an empty spot. The freezers for the frozen seafood are not located in one area and you have to walk from one side of the store to the other to view
everything. I believe the layout was not thought out very well if they could, it should be corrected.
I am happy that this store was opened here to fill in the gap of the closed Price Chopper in this mall and to have some competition with Metro. But this is not even close to a T&T, Foody Mart or Bestco in selection of Chinese (Asian) fresh produce and package foods on the shelf. Personally speaking, I think when it comes to Chinese shopping, I tend to stick to the products that I have been using for ages. I might try something new but if it doesn't work it, I would go back to ones we trust. If I had a regular shopping list of items to get, I would probably find 60% of it here.
I can't say this would be my number 1 "go to" place to shop but if I needed meat, frozen fish or vegetables... I would come here to buy.
I hope you find this helpful and please shop here yourself to see if it suits your shopping needs!

Asian supermarket just opened at Bridlewood Mall!

Their selection and variety is really good. Definitely caters to the Chinese and South East Asian community including lots of Indian, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese sauces and spices.

They also have a meat and a seafood section, fruits and vegetables, and frozen packaged foods. Everything so far seems clean and very organized - but it took some time to find what I want (there's a lot of aisles to venture through!).

Very convenient H-Mart location near Bloor Subway Station. Products are always fresh and they have a nice corner of ready-to-eat food! Very organized and always stocked by staff. Great pitstop for a quick snack. If you're interested in more hot food, also visit the location just north of Dundas Station as it has a food booth as well.
My first time going to this great little independent grocery store that features Korean products but you can also find a nice selection of Japanese and Western items. Will definitely be back to pick up some more of my favorites and try something new.
Usually I will buy live fresh. They clean and cut as per our request.. price is normal
Never thought food will be so great. So tasty, fresh and staff is very friendly. If you are from South Asian country you would love this shop you will find all types of exotic food stuff including cookies as well. Lot of parking as well.
EDIT (May,2021): I've changed it to 1 star because I've gone back afterwards and they made another mistake in labelling of priced items (e.g. labelled as $3.99 but it was actually $6.99). They not only didn't honour their mistake, but also accused me of making the error. It's their choice to honour the price difference (I don't mind), but I'm starting to see a trend of potential bait-and-switch practices or bad training of employees.

I used to go p often to get their cheesecake, end of day hot food sales (ok, but not worth it full price), and taiyakis (only good when fresh, not so good after sitting there). They also had great sales on random chip flavours that were fun to try. Other products are available, but often $1-2 more than grocery stores.

Then I stopped going. I got instant noodles and I saw a really good sale. It turns out it was their mistake, however, they wouldn't honour it and shifted the blame to me not reading the sign properly (the sign said ind. pack instead of a pack of 5). The heck? That's when I decided to be petty and no longer go back to their store. I got to Chinatown instead now.

My favorite Korean supermarket in downtown. Great location, great price and variety. Veggies are always fresh and you can buy a big bag of garlic, green onions and chives here. Even their NG cucumber is still very fresh.
Actually like their prepared food selection a lot. Not the cheapest but pretty much the same range as most Korean grocery stores. That being said the prepared meals come in all price ranges so if you want something inexpensive it’s easily to still eat good here.

It is your go to place for asian snacks and drinks. As well, they have ready to eat foods as well or pre cooked meals that need heating up. The selection for korean banchans is awesome as well as fresh raw fish and kimbaps. They also have a huge selection of instant noodles. Good shop, nice staff.
If you’re looking for a taste of what it feels to be in Seoul, South Korea, a quick stop at the H-Mart on Yonge is a Head-first plunge into Korean life and culture. Aside from the importance that these and other similar marts play in everyday life and culture in Korea, you’ll come across some very rare South Korean staple foods that one would only expect to find in South Korea. Most notable in this regard are “Kimpap” (Korean version of Sushi) as well as “Kimchi”. The Hangul writing and distinctively unique Korean-style designs on the packaging of food offer an authentic South Korean cultural experience making the H-Mart more than worthy of a visit. Better yet, challenge yourself to have some squid or octopus or, if you’re feeling less adventurous, have some kimpap and/or kimchi.
It's close to home so I shop there regularly. Overall prices are ok and the store is clean. There is a variety of produce, fresh meat and sea food including live fish. I often buy a box of chicken legs with thigh attached(18kg or 40lbs). Price depends on chicken sales in that week and can range from $30.00- to regular price of $52.00.
