Overall nice museum have been her about once a year for past 10 years, and will go back. Downfall: we wish there were more kids or hands on exhibits. When they remodeled, they took away the majority of the kids’ stuff. Love the addition of the era wardrobe with the cars. The Euclid Carousel is a fun classic and enjoyable experience. Nice that we get to go in the mansion too.
Lots to see. Interesting to learn about the early history of Cleveland. Small parking lot behind the museum or park in the Natural History Museum garage nearby.
First museum in the US I've been to, pretty much set the standard. They have distinct display in each section of the building, like it time travels you to another era. What stands out the most was the car collection, one entire building is just for it.
Map is easy to follow, they have a coat rack for your heavy coats.
Parking is just adjacent to the entrance, maybe $10.
Museum ticket is as stated in the website.
If your a museum rat, you can skip this but a good starter for those who wants to explore.

Such a wonderful experience, the architecture of the building is absolutely beautiful, so much history of Cleveland from photos to videos, live recordings to listen to, and many artifacts. It truly is a must see in Cleveland. Note: Ypu habe to take a rode on the 100 year old carousel that used to reside at Euclid Beach Park before it closed. The carousel itself has a beautiful history.
What's better than taking the kids to visit one of the kept secrets in CLE? Always a great place to visit. What an outstanding reno they just completed!

It’s cool if you like paying 60$ for 2 to see a bunch of old cars and mostly white Cleveland history. Heard there used to be way more cars for half the price. Guess the city is funding another suburban (Halle farm) project.
Visited with my wife and had a wonderful time. The Ferrari exhibit was great. Staff was friendly all around from the check in desk, the carousel operator, the tour guide for the mansion, and gift store clerk. I love the old cars and motorcycles, my wife loves the old dresses, and we both love the Cleveland history. Definitely worth a visit!
I visited the center on Friday morning and liked the antique cars, the mansion. Had a great experience with the staff, such as the lady that explained to me about the Mansion and the gentleman in the carrousel that explained the history, craftmanship and band that used to be located In the center of the carrousel.

First visit, wife and I just had a fun time. Not just cars, motorcycles and aviation items too. The aviation part is expanding. We'll worth the visit.

Do they sell those banners at this location?! The 180° paper maches hanging in the drawing of the building, my mum wants one of those.
A very cool museum that we were delighted with, good staff, clean premises, there is a dressing room where you can leave your outerwear. Many cool cars, and the main thing is a playroom for children where you can play and read interesting books. Also, downstairs there are very cool mock-ups of a store, a hairdresser, children's things, as if I were in the distant past. There is also a movie theater where you can watch short stories, the statue of Superman is great. We were very satisfied, I recommend it to everyone))
Attended a meeting centered upon what West Park Ohio was like 1922 prior to annexation to Cleveland, Ohio. Encompassed a rendition of the mayor in 1922 and sights of the area and amenities such as Puritas Springs amusement park and trolley service plus interurbans sort of a train service. Highlighted was the Marquard Mansion on Warren road and a West Park history informative and entertaining.
This is a nice museum with self guided displays of local Cleveland history. The carousel rides are unlimited with admission ticket. No food available. The gift shop was underwhelming. Has a small play place for smaller children. The play place is generic and not a learning/hands on type of play place. There was no wait to get in or to see any displays. There was very little traffic throughout the museum. We did the museum in little over an hour looking at and reading most of the displays.
I love history. The tour guide was well spoken and knowledgeable. It's amazing to view the life and times of the birth of the land of liberty.

The museum houses an eclectic collection of objects about, made in or sometimes just owned by prominent Clevelanders of yore.
The museum assembles exhibits that change not infrequently. When I visited, the Women in Politics display was featured as well as Amanda Wicker-Black Fashion Design in Cleveland.
This summer they are featuring jazz performances in Thursday evenings, in the central garden court if the weather permits. Evelyn Wright put on a well attended performance on 10 June 2021.
The model Terminal Tower is a beautifully crafted piece of furniture. They have a two story tall illuminated Cleveland Indian batting in the entrance hall.
There is a grand statue of Commodore Perry that is sure to inspire patriotic pride in the victor of the Battle of Lake Erie.

I love this house! It's one of the oldest houses in Lakewood Ohio. Although something gs that have been added to accommodate this day and age, most of this structure is orginal. We will be back for tomorrow's tour.
Easily the best museum to visit while visiting Cleveland. The Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) museum houses the famous Crawford Auto and Aviation Collection and the Cleveland History Center. There is also a small Library in case you want to look up historical documents of from the Western Reserve era. With your museum entrance ticket, you get access to all the exhibits along with two ride tickets for the Euclid Beach Carousel that will be sure to be a hit with the young ones (or those that are young at heart). Although there are other museums in the museum area, the WRHS is uniquely Cleveland, and can't be found anywhere else in the world. Thus, the highest recommendation from us.

What an unknown gem of a museum! The fact it is made from two historic houses and has an indoor carousel sets it apart from any other museums across the country. They have interesting features for children up to older adults. The working carousel is handicap accessible and the day we were there a group of people boarded on their wheelchairs to enjoy multiple rides. It warmed our hearts. We will bring our tour groups back for a visit.
Had a blast last night with two teens in tow. Great to experience the history of Cleveland. Beautiful mansion. The staff was very thorough and kind.
