I’ve had a fantastic time playing Game of 1000 Boxes! The concept of solving puzzles with 1000 boxes is incredibly unique and engaging. Each level presents a fresh challenge, and I’ve loved the sense of accomplishment that comes with solving each puzzle. The design is clean and intuitive, making the game easy to pick up but hard to put down. It’s the perfect blend of difficulty and fun, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mental challenge. This game definitely deserves a 5/5 for its creativity and execution!

fun! Its like the mario party mini games meets bar trivia. Do little challenges and play games on huge projector screens. The staff is great, definitely get the two drink special.

This was so much more fun than I expected! We arrived late because there was so much traffic and they still let us join :) The trivia questions were a bit hard, we didn’t know any of them, but there’s something for everyone - like speed and memorization rounds. I’d love to come again with my friends, it was so much fun!

Great time, great games. Really enjoyed the aspect of the live host, our host chris gave great energy and made it really fun. Definitely take a group here, bonus points if you can be competitive together!

Had so much fun at 1000 boxes. I was personally on a team of three and we won. Enjoyed the host commentary and the games were very fun. The reason im leaving three stars though is cause of the prize… When we went we won a pineapple which was fine you know random possible prizes out of 1000 its cool. But what puzzles me is every single review i have seen that has mentioned what the prize they gave out or that the group one has all been pineapples. I have seen at least 10 reviews from different months all saying the prize was a pineapple. I just feel like the probability of NO ONE mentioning a different type of prize is a bit misleading and is a bit of false advertising from the company. I get that a pineapple prize is harder to advertise but the experience is good enough without the prize that i feel like saying it is a mystery box when that doesnt seem to be the case is a bit deceiving. Otherwise, I do think it is a really cool experience.

Games range from tricky trivia to silly skills and everything in between. Teamwork is needed for some games so strategy on the fly will definitely improve your game.

But regardless of where you land on the leader board, you’re guaranteed to have a good time!

Definitely the best climbing gym in Manhattan - spacious, fun problems, routes are updated frequently, and a wide range of training equipment.

Also, as a member, you get perks such as monthly guest pass and free climbing classes (non-members can take these classes as well). It's inclusive, too, with climbing classes from beginner to advanced. I've taken all of the climbing progression program classes (mostly taught by Ady - she's great!) and they taught me fundamental and advanced techniques and helped me develop my climbing skills.

Recently, I felt that I've plateaued so I signed up for the Train Like A Team Kid class with Jenna Tseng (Jenna is very chill and cool - motivates you without making you feel pressured or pushed). I've only attended two classes so far and I was able to send some problems that I was struggling with! This class is super informative and beneficial - you can ask questions about your projects and learn different drills to advance your climbing. The drills are making me more of an intentional climber and have made me more aware of my climbing habits. And the fitness session at the end of the class, will get you FIT!! Always humbling, but I love that it pushes me and I know that it will help me get stronger RAAWR.

My husband and I love climbing at Central Rock!! We have been climbing at this location (Riverside) since August 2019. The setting, programming, and facilities are all top notch. They offer classes for beginners that really helped me as an adult new to climbing. Now I regularly take Jenna's "Train Like a Team Kid" class - it's not only a lot of fun, but it's actually helping me break through my climbing plateaus. Love the community at this gym too!

This was SO much fun - highly recommend! I've never done anything quite like it and definitely exceeded my expectations. The pace of the game was great and the immersive visuals were such a cool, creative vibe! Each stage of the game was unique, so it was energetic and exciting the whole way through. It was competitive and took various kinds of skills (which meant everyone on our team could contribute), but it also felt accessible and not daunting - like anyone could win. In fact, the place was packed with fun folks on other teams, and the game was so close the entire way through we weren't sure who was going to win until the last round. We had a team of 3 (not 4) and almost won! Ended up coming in 2nd. Laughed and smiled the entire way through. So glad we decided to check this out!

Visiting NYC came for 2 hours of bowling. Check in was easy. They walk you to your lanes. Area is clean with a server. Full bar and a lot of pizza burgers chicken fingers you can order. Everyone was nice and we had fun.

It’s pricey but it’s NYC!

Bowlero Times Square is a excellent destination to bowl while in Manhattan. They have a cheap arcade and friendly staff. They put my friend and me in a semi-private area and we were offered free soda. As with everything in New York $20 for a single game is expensive, but with all things considered it was worthwhile.

Great place for a birthday, even at 33 years old! Called ahead and the sales representative was extremely helpful. Due to availability, we weren't able to reserve a table or lane, but that was okay because laser tag and the arcade was the real draw. She provided me with an idea of times that may be less busy and all the necessary information for our day-of arrival.

The actual experience was good, and what you could expect. Laser tag was fun, and though there were children everywhere (that was poor planning on my part), the space was large enough that it still didn't necessarily matter. We were able to walk into a few laser tag games—small, but fun! Front Desk for laser tag was helpful, but lacked attentiveness so be ready to wait around for 5-10 minutes if you're not part of a reserved time.

Food and bar experience was great - our bartender was amazing. I'd give him five stars. Extremely attentive, considerate and just all around good guy! Food was also really excellent and modestly priced!

All around a positive experience and not a bad way to spend a good chunk of time while only spending $$-$$$.

My son loves climbing with Josh Hodge at Central Rock on West End! His climbing coach, Josh is amazingly patient and supportive in his teaching technique. Josh not only teaches climbing, but is a great resource for my 15 yr old to learn about strength training.
Through his lessons with Josh, my son's skills have greatly improved, as has his self-confidence and trust in his own abilities. His climbing time is a true stress relief from the all the pressures being a teenager brings.

Such a fun place, it was a great time and break while raining in the city. Friendly staff that got us in without reservations.

Came for a work event that had food and beverage included as well as a few hours worth of bowling.

The service was top notch. Our server kept coming back to check in on us.

The facilities were nice. Only comments were that the shoes should be better inspected for things like poor laces. The lanes we were at also didn't have a working air vent to cool off our hands.

Otherwise the food and drink was all typical bar food, and what you'd expect. Nothing gourmet, but it all hit the spot.

My experience here was amazing! Michael was very helpful and walked us through all the procedures and was always around to help us if we had any problems.. will definitely visit again !

An overall very disapointing experience. The staff wasn't very invested (even though not rude ) and didn't seem to have a lot of things to do. The activities in themselves were the worst part. Indeed we only had access to 5 or 6 activities with our pass, wich were short, not very realistic and not interesting. Would not recommend.

What a great experience! Place was an blast and everything worked perfectly, the atmosphere is amazing. Our server Anthony was great and made us feel really confortable, as well as all the staff and managers. Food and drinks were on point. The best part for me is the music. This is a great fun for adults and families with teens. Our family had a lot of fun and laughs. I recommend making timely reservations. To owners: some of the equipment could use a bit of love. One of the staff members (did not catch his name, short hair) was particularly helpful and friendly and shared some laughs with us. We had great time.

Pretty cool spot. The food was Very good. Beer and alcoholic beverages it a pretty good stop. The competition of play adds to the fun. If it wasn't my first time bowling it was my first in a long while. The family enjoyed it. Pretty good fun in the center of town where just striking about one can take in the beehive of activities and attractions. The staff was excellent.

My boyfriend & I recently visited Tidal Force VR, and we had an amazing time.From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain how everything worked and made sure I felt comfortable in the VR world. We played the shooting game and the escape room, which were both exciting to play.The quality of the VR equipment was top-notch. The headsets were comfortable, and the graphics were stunningly realistic. I quickly forgot I was in a virtual world – it felt that real! Definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to find something fun to do in the city!

Located in the heart of Times square this bowling alley is as good as it gets. With countless lanes divided between multiple spaces, a nice arcade, and a bar. Friendly servers will attend to all of your needs and the menu includes many fast food classics and a variety of drinks. Prices here are as expected in such a prime location. You can have a great time here after exploring Fifth avenue, Broadway or come to roll a few balls to escape the weather outside. Kids can use rails and a slide when playing.

Lovely time. Hated waiting around while so many lanes went unused because they were RESERVED. However, in most case the reservation were no-shows! But my group of over 15 had a great time after waiting over 2 hours!

This is AMAZING! At first it looks kinda small (that's what she said) but when you start playing the games it's so cool!!! And this ain't something you can do on a regular oculus, this is something where u can actually walk around and fight drones and bully your mom for not knowing how the buttons work. The guy there was very nice and the headsets were comfy and everything about it was perfect!!!

I booked for my 10 year old the two hour unlimited package. Lacoya, Michael and Tommy had their hands full on this rainy Saturday night but they were great at keeping tabs on all the other customers who were enjoying this immersive experience. They had an ability to multitask and troubleshoot that was extremely impressive. They made the experience fun and super funny it was a great time. Highly recommended. The rock wall really was a win!

We had an incredible time, bowling until we couldn't bowl anymore. The experience was fantastic, the food was delicious and satisfying, and my kids had a blast. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the place was impeccably maintained, clean, and spacious.

Great place to bring the kids or a date night, after work meet up or any casual gathering for some fun! The food is decent, typical bowling alley dishes of wings, fries, burgers, pizza and you can get bar drinks. There are plenty lanes available for fun. There is also a laser tag section and an arcade section. My kids and I had a blast! I hope to visit here again

This was one of the best family bowling games we’ve had. They have different themed lanes and a good arcade. It’s reasonably priced and the food and drinks are great value. Definitely worth having the pizza deal. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a family activity in central NYC.

I had a birthday party for my 9 year old son. It was amazing the kids, and adults had a fantastic time. I can’t tell who had more fun. Will definitely be coming back here for my other child. Perfect event venue for birthday parties of all ages

We had the best time at Escape the Room! John was a fantastic host, he was super friendly and helped us out when we needed it and gave us hints. The rooms are the perfect balance of challenging and fun and the themes are really well done. Thank you John for making it such a positive experience!

Have been bowling here for years. Recently went to bowl for the Monday mayhem special and found out it was no longer a special they had. Now the “special” is 3 games and a $10 arcade card for $40 including shoes. Arcade card doesn’t help you can only play one game.

The changes that have been implemented have not been for the better. First they took away the happy hour special which would allow you to get some drinks for $5.50. Then they brought up the price for the Monday mayhem from $26 to $32, now the Monday special is gone altogether. I am not sure why they took it away, but it wasn’t for the better. Need to bring this special back.

Used to be a regular here, but no longer will be because the cost per game is too expensive.

While the staff was somewhat nice! The set up was over rated! We spent $200 for 45 minutes and game was poorly set up! Had to change batteries in the middle of the game.
For this kind of money, i would prefer to take it to sand box, private rooms and much more advance equipment.

A 13 year old girl and her 49 year old Dad (me) signed up for an hour at Tidal Force VR on a recent trip to NYC, and we had a blast! We've played some VR games before, but this was definitely the most immersive.

The location is in a normal looking NYC building (look for the small sign next to the door). Inside the studio it's pretty sparse, but once you put on the headset it's amazing. For our games we didn't need a backpack...just a headset and a controller for each hand. The headset isn't wired to anything, it's wireless (haven't done that before). We had at least a 10' x 10' area to move freely around in (or at least it felt that large, much larger than other VR we've done). And it was amazing how we could see each other in full body spacesuits moving around (appreciated my daughter's victory dance!) We played one cooperative game and one "vs." game (I won the first match, and...well...let's not talk about the other ones).

If you're looking for a fun activity with friends, co-workers or your teenager. Tidal Force VR is highly recommended!

First off, Jasmine and Desire were amazing. Jasmine blessed us. I accidentally booked it a week ahead and Jasmine took care of us and hooked up last minute. Gave us 2 lanes and had food already getting cooked on our bday celebration. Desire catered to our group, helping with drinks and whatever we needed. Both were so nice. Now, as of the experience, our kids had a ball. They definitely enjoyed themselves and asked when can we come back. We had 2 hrs of bowling and then played arcades. We definitely going back for other bday parties. Amazing experience and amazing customer service. Friendly and super helpful. I totally recommend going.

I went on August 4 with my friend and an employee named Brandon was nothing but great to us. He was very friendly, very inviting and funny as well. I definitely recommended this place to all my friends to make another visit because of his great personality. Having him as a host was definitely the highlight of our night.

My 12 year old son celebrated his birthday with a group of friends and had a blast. It's hard to find the perfect thing to do as they get older and this was the perfect fit. My son and his friends game online all the time and this was a new and exciting way for them to game together. I couldn't recommend it more. The team at Tidal were great and gave the kids a great experience. Thank you!

A lot of fun, we had a private room with very good service

I attended with my job. The place is very nice and clean. I enjoyed myself. The pizza was delicious. I would definitely go back again. The staff was professional and friendly. I noticed when leaving the establishment they had the scanning machine up for customers who attended later at night. Our bowing game started at 7pm and ended at 9pm.

It was so clean and the food was a little cheap, it was ranged from 6-20 dollars but most stuff were 6-9 dollars. I loved the bowling and the arcade and would want to go again.

Super fun, immersive experience. We went with our two kids - 13 and 11 - to take out the drones and then do a little 2 v 2. While I needed a few tips from the kids, we all had a blast and are looking at when we can come back for the escape room. The 40 min session seemed much longer and was just the right length for us.

Always a great time here. Have done multiple rooms and they’ve all been executed amazingly. Our clue host Drea was amazing!

Loved the atmosphere, and the bartender was amazing. Had I remembered her name, I would've posted, but I have a weak short-term memory when it comes to proper nouns, 😆 🤣

This was a ton of fun. The room was a cleaver set up and it really took some brain power to solve the puzzles. Highly recommend doing this with at least a group of four.

Great service have nothing to do with the workers or food . I remember this place back in the days and let me tell you it was way better than today. One thing I don’t respect about business like this is the drinks on the menu don’t look the same way when it comes out. This was very upsetting for me and my girlfriend we returned our drink to make it stronger. There’s hardly no fun arcade just some good ones like air hockey, laser tag and bowling. The bowling experience was amazing and expensive and the food was delicious. I wish there was better arcade and the drinks that looks the same way as the menu. Then one thing is when you’re done playing bowling they rush you out from your seat for you can leave fast cause other people reserved the seats. Me and my crew was talking about the waiter good work for we can give him a nice tip and boom you just start seeing more workers trying to rush you out. I noticed the waiter got upset about it I saw it on his face. The experience is definitely not like before this business change so much!! won’t come again!! I will definitely not be recommending this place at all!!

We(16 ppl) made a 2 hours reservation to celebrate my mother’s bday, a week prior to the event I was offered to order the food in advance, but I opted to order on site, so my guests would be free to order whatever they wanted to.

We arrived 15-20 mins late, it took them forever to take our order order anything, and another forever for the food to arrive, our order didn’t arrive probably 20 minutes before our time was up(sliders, wings, and nachos, nothing crazy.) BEFORE the food even arrived I was questioned if I wanted to extend the time since the food had not arrived by then.

They brought the food but didn’t bring silverware, I had to get it on a party beside us, I had to go after clean cups, the soda was done and nobody would come to ask to refill (myself, for example didn’t have a chance to drink nor even a cup of soda), I asked the girl who came to take our order more and she said she wasn’t the one responsible for our lane but later on she came to ask if we wanted more food(???), I had to clean up the pile of empty dirty dishes on our table so we could sing happy bday and cut the cake, after going to the bar area to grab napkins(you would expect they would have common sense and bring it once you order wings), silverware, clean cups, go after the waiter to order more food(we had to cancel bc the extended time was up and they didn’t bring the pizza on time) and soda, cleaned up our table they still charged us $163 for EVENT FEE when I had to do the staff’s job and $177 extension time that was forced since they couldn’t deliver the food within 30 minutes, and on top of that I had to deal with my family asking where was the food we ordered since everybody was starving.

I requested a refund for those 2 items but the manager said we didn’t complain on that day(even tho he never came to our table to ask for a feedback on the experience and to not end up the night “fighting” I preferred speaking to our host) and since we arrived a 15-20 minutes late, which I did questioned the waiter, so since the lack of complaint is an issue me and my family will make sure we will be heard so it doesn’t happen to other people.

It has the ambiance to be a fun and memorable night, the staff was friendly but EXTREMELY unprepared which made our experience very unpleasant and the food was ok.

Suprise B-day for our Sun 13th Birthday. Bowlero is quite the space with a friendly and accommodating staff. A great time was had by all!

Celebrated my niece's 18th birthday here. The staff were friendly & efficient and the food was good. The place is tremendous besides bowling alleys there are video games, laser tag and a bar.

Christian really helped me and my brothers enjoy ourselves for their first time doing an escape the room. The best host and so very kind. Really good addition to the team!

Brought my husband here for his birthday and had an absolute blast thanks to Sam. By far the best game master we’ve ever had! Made our trip to New York that much better! Thank you so much Sam!

I had the chance to play the escape room with my friends thanks to an accommodation Jerome made. I’m super grateful that he was able to do this for us because we had a really great time! The puzzles made you think and the overall experience was unlike anything I had done before. We actually beat the game which he said only about 20% of teams do. We did only have around 20 seconds left before we ran out of time, but we did it! You really feel immersed in the game. I will definitely be planning to come back to play the co-op game and hopefully more escape rooms in the future! Would definitely recommend.

Nice and funny place. You can use also the Sight-seen pass to enter. Bear in my that they close at 11pm (maybe a bit early). Recommended for a funny night with friends. Staff is friendly.

We stopped in waiting on our dinner reservation, it said huge arcade. Unfortunately it wasn't exactly huge. The games cost quite a bit per play but 30$ did last us about 45 minutes. The ticket pay out isn't terrible. The prizes are actually decent and okay on ticket prices. The bowling alley is clearly the main attraction, as it should be, and it was amazing. They have a full bar in the arcade area which was really nice and clean.

Excellent climbs! All of the staff are very nice! My girlfriend is a member and she takes me in on her guest pass once a month, perhaps when I have more time and don't have to travel for work so much I will join, myself.

The setting was superb and had a ton of variety with lots and lots of routes. Despite not being the biggest gym, the space was used perfectly and had so many different wall angles. Not only that, but there was great density of holds and routes which made the gym feel twice as big. Plenty of fun routes for beginners, some tricky slabs for the intermediate, and maxed out with a powerful v10 and a few v9s. Even had a tension board, dope campus board, and some chill sport routes. Everyone was super friendly, gave great beta, and I even managed to get a free sticker from the staff! Great place to visit, can’t wait to come back 🥳

One of the very few places offering climbing for kids under 5. The are 3 routes for auto belay and 10 for staff/partner belay. For beginners there are staff belay classes for kids on weekends. The website is informative and updated regularly.

The equipment and restrooms are spotless. The staff constantly clean and check out the environment. The staff was so friendly that you would feel like chatting with your friends. Highly recommend this place! Avoid the peak hours to enjoy the most of it.

FACILITIES

The main climbing area is below the lobby. There is one long top roping wall following the staircase and a much larger bouldering area. This bouldering area basically forms a circle with benches in the middle a and a small weightlifting area. There's no cardio equipment. Overall, the area is very clean. There are dedicated changing rooms but no showers. What's cool about this gym is that they have these chalk stations around the bouldering area. Everything is very clean and well maintained.

SETTING

In general the setting is moderately difficult. There is a V0/VB circuit that always has black holds. Otherwise, the routes are color coded but there is no association between color and difficulty. Each route is assigned a V grade which can be determined by looking at placards spaced around the gym. Each placard contains information about the three or four routes near to it. However, the closest placard to a route is not necessarily the one that has the routes information, so you sometimes need to hunt for it. In general I think this is a creative way to show route information and it's much cleaner than writing on some duct tape.

The holds are in great condition. There are few holds with excessive chalk or shoe rubber and it's always easy to tell what color each hold is. Moreover the staff is careful to make sure that routes of similar colors are not adjacent to each other.

The setting is pretty straightforward from V1 to V3 and I think that around V4 is where the more creative stuff like dynos are really thrown at you. There are about 80 routes in the gym by my estimate and the difficulties are skewed for V4 and below.

CONCLUSION

This is a great gym. It's expensive (maybe not for NYC) but very well maintained so you know the money is used well. I love it when a gym does more than the bare minimum to make the climbing gym a good experience. I'll definitely return here when I come back to NYC.

I’ve climbed there a couple of times while visiting NYC. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely a nice vibe with a good mix of boulderers across all talent levels. Setting is great with a lot of nice problems, again for all levels. Facility is nice and clean which seems to be part of the CRG brand. Really enjoyed myself.
