The staff here is wonderful and they made the process easy to understand and was just as great through the whole administering process. I thank them for helping me and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for help that is unsure where to go or who to trust. They are the best.
Words cannot express the heartwarming spirit that encompasses the staff at Ascend Behavioral. I’m so grateful for their kindness, warmth, and genuine concern. The staff at ascend demonstrate a level of dedication that transcends the bounds of duty. Each encounter is met with open arms, a reassuring smile, and an unwavering commitment to help you along your journey. I recommend this clinic to anyone who needs healing and support. The staff are amazing, compassionate, and caring individuals who I trust whole heartedly.
The care I received from David Roque and Wayne was exceptional. They listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatments that yielded positive results. The entire team at Ascend displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortble throughout my appointments. Never felt better!
Just finished my TMS and I feel like a completing different person. I can handle stress and difficult situations better. Wayne and the other staff members are great.

I spent too long in the care of this garbage company. Their scheduling people are unprofessional, and that’s not even mentioning how negligent their psychiatrists are. I hope Asaf Aleem looses his license. I had a visit where I was bawling my eyes out to him and another psychiatrist (the head psychiatrist, apparently) and one of them had an AIRPOD in one ear and the other wouldn’t look up from his gd phone. I was on the verge of ending things, and this was their reaction. They are the worst of the worst who prey on the mentally vulnerable. Run FAR away from Ascend.

If you or someone you love are considering being admitted to this hospital I URGE YOU TO THINK AGAIN.
I can’t even begin to describe the ABUSE AND TORMENT that i was forced to endure from this hospitals staff.
It’s taken me weeks to even find the courage to try to put into words the absolute horror that i just experienced. The staff from this hospital not only should NEVER be allowed near a patient again but they deserve to be imprisoned.
This is the most crooked and corrupt hospital.
In unit 2A, To the techs JADE, KA’DASHA, STACEY, CORDELIA AND AMY you are the most vile and heinous human beings I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting.
The abuse you put these patients through while we were already at our absolute lowest point.
Yelling in our face, cursing at us, making fun of us, laughing at us, not taking a single concern seriously.
They locked the door to our rooms from 8am-4pm refusing to let us use the toilet (there is not public toilet, only the toilet in our room)
When we asked to go to the bathroom, requests were denied because they were “too busy” sitting on their phone. I ended up getting a UTI because i had to hold my urine for excessive periods of time.
No one wanted to drink anything because everyone was too afraid of needing to use the toilet.
People were vomiting in the trash cans, and elderly came close to having emergencies on the floor.

The whole place was unclean.
They give you a 1oz bottle of baby soap (for everything, including hair)

Y’all forced me to stay in dirty underwear and clothes for days while my clean clothes sat behind the counter because you were too lazy to simply hand them to me and each time i asked you laughed and walked away while saying “ get someone else to do it”
You mocked a blind lady and a deaf lady and laughed while they struggled.

Cursed at a diabetic man in front of everyone in the cafeteria simply because he asked for a Diet Coke since he couldn’t have dessert.
After a man fell and hit his head, bleeding out on the floor you all stood around him yelling at everyone else instead of calling an ambulance immediately. Incompetence at its finest.
Food Allergies were never taken seriously.
On multiple occasions i watched people be served something they were deathly allergic to, all while knowing about the allergies, and since we weren’t able to eat the allergen we simply were not able to eat, myself included experienced this. And all they said was “too bad” (This was a daily occurrence).

If a loved one calls you, they will not inform you or pass along a message

The “psychiatrist” which i saw for 5 minutes, decided to diagnose me with multiple different diagnoses but never tell me about them and i have to find out for myself when i got out.
Never spoke of them or told me a single thing, shoved meds down my throat but i wasn’t even aware what they were “treating”.

In the state of Florida, a baker act is a 72 hour hold, but they were holding people for WEEKS.
Refusing to even let you know why you were being held or to inform you when you will be released.

I was only released after threatening that i will sue and have cops and lawyers in my family get involved.
A staff member pulled me aside and informed me they were only releasing me due to the threats and my family contacting them. They didn’t want to get sued.
They also are refusing to give me my personal records and hang up on me every time i call for them.

I have been officially diagnosed with CPTSD upon being released from this hospital due to the trauma i just endured.
I left here 10x worse than when i arrived

You have people that just attempted to take their life, and this is how you’re treating them.
There is a special place in hell for y’all.

I had a relative here, and this hospital is amazing!!! They helped them so much!!! They finally found a hospital that has staff that truly care about their patients!!! I would truly recommend to anyone that is needing help!!! I can finally see the light in there smile and I thank Park Royal and the staff for that
I called them to get some basic info regarding admitting someone and with in a minutes of the conversation the receptionist asked about insurance. She also said “if he does not want the help, then our facility wouldn't work”. If the place feels off to you, follow your gut.
Maria and Jenesis are two of the best therapists in the area. They are both very professional and truly care about their clients. Maria has helped me work through anxiety in my life and ways to cope with both workplace and personal life anxiety. I would highly recommend Break Free Therapy to anyone in the Southwest Florida area!
I love this place! The entire team is so caring and has helped change my life through their TMS and med management programs. I highly recommend!

Disgusted with the care and treatment patients seeking help received in this place!!
The staff SHOULD NOT be working with patients or humans in desperate need of mental health help!! They are all RUDE, have major attitude problems and are cold hearted with absolutely no empty or compassion!! They speak to the patients as if they were criminals yell at them discredit them if they asked nicely if it was possible to have their food warmed up. It was HEARTBREAKING to hear my loved one tell me how the LOUSY STAFF MEMBERS in unit 3A yelled at a gentleman telling him his foods not cold that she just heated it up simply because he asked for d she could please heat up his meatball sub , that was OBVIOUSLY COLD when he bite into it!
My loved one received no toothbrush, no towel, I delivered her clothes at 230 and it was 730 the next morning when we spoke and she still had not received her clothes!
She has not seen a Dr to help her deal with her depression. when she did see the Dr it was to let her know she couldn’t discharge herself until 24hrs after asking to be let go. She told the Dr I need to see someone and speak to a DR, the Dr then told her that he is a Dr and that bc he is a Dr that she actually is talking to one!! His tone and attitude was HORRIBLE! That was a UNBELIEVABLE response towards someone contemplating suicide!!! She told him that she needed help and someone to talk with about her thoughts and how she was feeling and he tells her he is taking to her , but nothing about HER reason to voluntarily commit was discussed!!
I am disgusted with this place, the staff, their approach and how they respond to patients in dire need of mental health support!!!
The “group “ sessions are made in a PUBLIC OPEN SPACE WITH the TVS blasting behind them in an area near the nurse station with staff talking and laughing and everyone hearing their personal and medical information!! It’s unfortunate that this is the only option for mental health care!

I was here for a good two months for treatment and it did help. The therapists that ran the groups were amazing. The only thing I didn’t like is that they put the newbies together with the semi old ones there. That would trigger me and a lot of the other people in the groups. If you are considering treatment here please be careful.

Park Royal is a fraudulent, misleading and manipulative facility. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. Be ware if that if you have a family member here you have to advocate like hell for them or yourself. Just one example out of the many I have is that they diagnosed a loved one with major depressive disorder, made false claims on his charts of things my loved one said, false assessments to match this diagnosis. A day after the psychiatrist said he was fine to go in a couple of days because this person came in voluntary, they started pushing for ECT. This is wrong and unethical. Shame on this facility. I feel for all the patients in Lee County that go here for help. You’re a fraud and I’ll report you to every entity! Your intake RN is a shame to my profession. I wish I could have her name so I could report her to the nursing board. If she can see this review, I just want to tell her that there’s a God, that’s watching her. One day she could be in the same situation, and I hope to God that the person that’s claiming to help her show empathy and doesn’t try to manipulate you into checking yourself in.
I had my wife in there for treatment..the only number you need is Morgan and Morgan..my wife is now mentally and physically handicap wife...great staff doesn't know their name, the administration will not tell you anything or answer the calls or voice mail.. just saying Morgan and Morgan. I never received a call she was in the hospital... I had to figure out what hospital she was in.
Beware! This place is an insurance scam that preys on the homeless and less fortunate. Actually added to my trauma instead of helping it. May God open their ears and
eyes, soften hearts and close their gates until they get the proper staff to help hurting souls.

I was in the facility for 12 days. Most of them were complete misery. I will tell you right now the med nurse that I had most often treated me like a prisoner. She was foul and mean they were also a couple others the treated you like an animal the aids if that’s who I had to deal with it would’ve been fine I do not like the idea we of them telling me I will not get out if I don’t eat everything on my plate. Well excuse me most of what they serve for me was inedible. I do not eat hot, hard, boiled eggs, which they were every time I do not eat most fish, and the rest of the food was on a scale of one through five of a 1. I am now moving onto aftercare. I’m going to give them one more chance to see me since I’ve been home. Hopefully the treatment will have been better because I’m not a patient sadly as much as I’d like to I would not refer anyone to this hospital until they get a change of staff I did not need to feel depressed and then get treated like a second class citizen by the nurses.
Both Maria and Jenesis express passion for serving their clients and communities. They are extremely competent counselors who offer real-life, applicable skills for their clients to use inside and outside of the therapy room. I would highly recommend the Break Free Therapy team to anyone who is seeking compassionate counseling. They are both wonderful!

For the most part....this is a horrible place. CJ one of the good guys there and and dark skinned man that work there are admirable. This place needs OVERSIGHT!

The people's that come there need help and as they call it discharge people for not making there beds properly or forgetting to take there medication... People that go to this place have problems obviously yet their treated as if they don't ...there is no treatment just judgement as they have all the power and they misuse it terribly. People live there but most receive no help just judgement most of the workers only care about there job not those people.... someone PLEASE! DO something about this place
Maria is a highly knowledgeable and compassionate therapist who undoubtedly has helped so many. Anyone would be lucky to work with her!
Jenesis and Maria are two wonderful therapists and they both really care about their patients and are passionate about their progress. You can see the generosity and effort they put in. Maria is extremely attentive to her patients with eating disorders and goes above and beyond to make her clients feel comfortable.
Jenesis and Maria do an excellent job in increasing their knowledge and skills to benefit their clients and provide high quality care. Maria and Jenesis are compassionate and do an amazing job in helping their clients reach their goals.
Jenesis and Maria are both amazing therapists and show so much care for their clients. Highly recommend working with them!
Maria Ortiz is truly a ray of sunshine in your life. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family. 10 stars!
Super comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Always available for a quick session even with short notice! Would highly recommend Jenesis to friends and family looking for support.

I just completed treatment at Celadon. I was amazed at the skills set kindness and compassion of the staff with myself and my peers. It was a very difficult time but I am much better since my first day. Food is good. That actually made a difference not your typical treatment center and I made my rounds. Great place I recommend 👌
I have been seeing David for over a year now and what a difference. He has managed my medications, has treated me with ketamine infusion and TMS. The TMS is the key factor in getting my depression under control. I still see him monthly for counseling sessions and has given me several coping mechanisms for my anxiety. The office is very accommodating and will get you seen the same day if needed. Wayne, the TMS technician, is so wonderful and caring. He understands his patients and makes you feel at ease during the treatments. He is a one of a kind and great to work with. Cindy is the kindest and most down to earth person I have ever met. I highly recommend this office for long term care and to treat whatever your issues are. Keep up the great work.
Place is a insurance scam. Will keep you there as long as they can milk your insurance money. It is located right on the river which is beautiful but half of the buildings are falling apart. They have a older counselor who is horrible makes group very uncomfortable and unproductive. I would find a better place like dlc!!
I got the help I needed and worked through some trauma. Meet some amazing people who are my friends to this day. I began to show my self, self love for the first time an I was shown and told that I am worth it. I found true happiness and friendships there. It's absolutely generous
Clean & safe facility , I was hospitalized here for 2 weeks for depression. Most of the staff was great besides a few who abused their own power. Can’t complain it’s a mental hospital definitely had a good time here. This place saved my life they got me with a great doctor for when I went home. Place is just over crowded and most of the patients we’re baker acted that’s why they give so much bad ratings. I would definitely consider visiting this hospital for a third time
The entire staff are all very inviting when I come in and everyone is friendly and kind. David is an amazing doctor. He has been my psychiatrist for a few years now and I honestly believe he saved my life. He always takes his time and listens. I trust him and Wayne to take great care of me.

Salus Care has the worst communication system ever. I’ve been prescribed diff meds for a week now, mind u I’m not even on them because I can’t get a hold of them. Recently seen that I was left a voice message stating that their system was down and if I would like I can go in and pick up to give to my prescriber. Mind you I live in Immokalee which is a drive and I work so that wouldn’t work. But being that it’s been days and they’ve seen I haven’t gone there to pick it up it would only make sense to get back in contact with me regarding why I didn’t pick it up and if they can send it to the pharmacy closest to me right? Well that’s not exactly how that went, I was in the phone with a lady “Mary” and she transferred me to the nurse, which resulted in me having to leave a voicemail, when it’s time to leave one low and behold I’m unable to because her mailbox is full when I call back I get Mary again and she sounds very uninterested and tried rushing me off to leave another voice message not listening to anything I stated. For employees to work with mental health patients , it seems like they may need to look for another career, they sound like they have no empathy at all just there for the money, meanwhile all I’m doing is trying to cope with my anxiety and depression while also WITHDRAWING! Thankfully I just got a call back from Sue who is working on this promptly. Salus Care needs to have a good intervention with their employees. Disappointed.
Where do I start?!? Celadon
has really helped me through a lot. I was a patient for 30 days and I gained many friends and the staff was amazing! Especially Stacy, Fritz, Sagin, James, &&& Bri. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
I can not say enough good about Regina and her skills. I went for help for trauma after a cancer diagnosis but I received help in every area of my life, which helped me to grow as a person and overcome so many challenges such as depression, anxiety, marital issues, an adult alcoholic child and more. I feel I have a whole new more joyful life in spite of many of my circumstances not changing. Most of all I thank God for working through Reina to show me He’s got me.
I felt unsafe and could not sleep well, I only could trust a few people that were there, and a few of the fellow patients…

(I am not going to fill things out and do someone else’s job for them!!)

I was diagnosed with PTSD and OCD after having a personal issue in 2022 and also Hurricane Ian while I was there 😔💕🌸.

I had to do my own wound care while I was there every 2-3 hours, then plead for pain medication. (Hurry up and wait)

I have since turned in my two weeks notice with a general/vascular surgeon I have worked with off and on for over 15 years 😔💕🌸

I would not wish to baker act my own worst enemy😔💕🌸

Thank you

Drove 40 minutes for the front desk woman to yell at me as soon as I walked in. I was told to show up at 2:40 for my appt at 3. I did and did not get seen until 3:17. I was told I would have an hour for my first appt, dr Whitney kicked me out by 3:46. So for a 29 minute appt they charged me $350. Not a single person I met was nice in this place.
Regina is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, safe, and dedicated. I was scared of therapy and had tried out a few therapists before, but never got anywhere. Then I came here and I am beyond grateful for finding this therapist. Freedom Mental Health Services helped me more than I could have ever imagined.
Great place with great people!

I scheduled an appointment for July 1. I got a notification two days before and was waiting on a Zoom link, so I called and they told me my appointment had been cancelled and moved to July 13 (without me knowing?). I waited until July 13, and got my notification the appointment was happening soon two days prior. On July 13, it gets dangerously close to my appointment time... and no Zoom link. I actually DROVE to the building. I go to the Entrance only to find out I need to go to the "Front Entrance" and sign in there. The doors are locked and I need to ring a bell to get in - theres no bell on the door marked Entrance, it's on the exit door. I get a woman to let me inside and I tell her my name and appointment time and it turns out I never had an appointment scheduled with them! I asked how they would explain the texts and they said they got a new system so I might have been dropped or missed. Their system then went down and couldn't get a new appointment for me.They told me they would call to reschedule, but honestly the staff seemed very ill prepared and the buildings did not seen safe, clean, or welcoming. I did not go back. All I needed was a therapist for anxiety.

I would put zero for the amount of stars. I seen Hazel Fraser the nurse at the Ortiz location due to having multiple symptoms for ADHD and my therapist recommended that I get treated for it as it might be the reason behind a lot of my issues. The practice was very misleading, from the beginning I explained that I needed a provider who does practice in the evening because I work in a in a clinic and I usually work late. When I was scheduling I was told that Hazel does see patients after 5:00pm which was completely incorrect. I was also told by April that the normal route for treatment of ADHD is stimulant medications but she prefers to start with non-stimulants which even though I was apprehensive I agreed to try. The non stimulant medications she prescribed did not sit well with my body gave me multiple side effects and it was nearly impossible for me to get back in to see April because of my conflicting work schedule. It was only after I had changed providers there at saluscare to Dr Jacobs that he then explained to me very abruptly that at Salis care they do not handle ADHD becaue salus care being primarily a rehab. He told me I need to go to a primary care doctor or another psychiatrist to get treated for this. He would not write a referral for a provider. I explained to the to Dr Jacob I have wasted 2 months and my symptoms have significantly interfered with my ability to work and he said to" call my insurance I know what to do I'm smart figure it out"
#disgusted
Place is amazing would recommend to anyone besides this guy almost eating me.
Great place! Out of all the therapists I’ve been to Ms. Liza has been the best and I feel so comfortable talking about anything and everything and I feel like she actually listens. Ms Donna still has some work to do with my meds but so far just glad to be there!

(posted this on yelp as well.) The main reason I went to SalusCare was to find a psychiatrist who knew about dissociation. When I got there and was able to talk to one, she said she was unfamiliar with it. The next day, another psychiatrist came in and not only did not understand it either, but he put air quotes around it when repeating it to me. Every mental health specialist should know that the first rule of treating a patient is to validate their experience. He continued by asking me the same questions as the psychiatrist from the day before and then said he would have to call my dad to confirm my story. I told him they had already confirmed it yesterday and he admitted that he hadn’t even looked at the notes from yesterday. I could’ve been discharged earlier but because he hadn’t looked at the notes, I wasn’t. The only reason this review is two stars instead of one is that most of the techs and group therapists were really nice people. They were actually a lot more helpful than the psychiatrist, which is a little concerning given that it should work the other way around. Okay place if you are only looking to discipline someone, wouldn’t recommend if you are trying to make any real changes to their behavior or help their mental health.
Absolutely love bringing my little one here. We have had the pleasure of working with Marsha, she is so attentive on getting everyone comfortable. She is really getting my daughter to open up and helping her feel better about opening up at home, and with friends. We have only been going about a month and I can't believe how much progress we have already made. I look forward to seeing how well things go in the future. Thank you again Marsha you are amazing.

If i could give 0 stars i would. The only reason why i have been going here for a year is because i actually liked my PA. She was always understanding and helpful. Other than her everyone else is unfriendly and unwilling to help. For example, i have called and left 3 messages since last week waiting for a nurse to call me back. I have yet to get a call. I called back multiple times and asked to not be sent to voicemail and to find a nurse because i need assistance. I got voicemails both times. I also am a bankers hours working adult. I have told them many times in the past, please tell me what my actually appointment time is so i can work as long as possible and not sit in the waiting room for a half hour before my appointment. I am never late and do not appreciate them taking time out of my work day when its unnecessary to be there 30 minutes before an appointment. When started coming the first day itself was awful. if i didnt already have anxiety and depression they for sure gave it to me. i had to do an emergency walk in. They told me to come back at 11 for my intake. I did my intake and then they told me that the next appointment wasnt for like a week. mind you i was on the edge of a mental break down and just needed some help to manage my panic attacks. I sat there for hours not knowing if they were going to be able to fit me in. The front desk staff is extra rude and doesnt care.
I go to Melissa specifically for blended family therapy. She’s amazing and really helps out with a lot of challenges and discoveries I’ve had becoming a stepmom. I look forward to therapy every week. Melissa has really helped me figure out went to act and when to step back, but it’s still a learning curve and I know I’ll always be learning! My husband had really noticed a positive impact on our blended family dynamic and I intend to keep going! Thank you Melissa!!!

Dr. Donna, nurse Tara and Rose and Karen is like are really awesome too. Five stars!
Donna Rush has gone above and beyond my expectations!!!! If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t know where my life would be heading right now but she has definitely made sure to keep me on the right medications and support me mentally whenever I need her. I’m so blessed to have her in my life. I recommend her to anyone looking for a great mentor/friend/psychiatrist and just someone who loves their job and makes sure to always give the right advice and is always available for me when I am in need to talk. Thank you Donna for changing my life for the better.
My son, who is transgender, has been seeing Maribel for the last 6 months. She is the first therapist who really understands my child and is truly helping him with anxiety and many other issues he has to conquer on a daily basis. He looks forward to his visits and really genuinely feels like he is getting the help he feels he needs from her. We just adore and appreciate all she has done for our child.❤️
I’m a very skeptical person about who I choose to talk to about my feelings. At Sinfonia I had been given a therapist named Melissa who I have been seeing for over a year now and I can honestly say that I do not want another therapist ever again. Besides her astute listening and profound plethora of knowledge she is very comfortable for me to talk to. I never felt like I was being judged or looked down on like at other places. Not only her but the rest of the staff as well makes me feel welcomed and well received when I go to my appointment.
Melissa Williams has been my grand children’s therapist for several years and has been a real life saver for all three of them. At present she is working with the youngest as the other two have finally figured life out with the help and guidance of Melissa. My Grandchildren adore her and know they can open up and trust her with everything, she has become part of our family and I don’t know what I would have done without her. Thank You Missy for all you do for all of these Florida children! God Bless
Melissa, was very understanding, open and honest in her approach. She was direct, and encouraged me to reflect on many things. She allowed me to see certain family situations in a different light, and offered support on how to cope with, and identify challenges with family pressures. Her approach was warm, friendly, and comforting. Her psychotherapy approach is based on talking through your own thoughts, behaviors, and breathing techniques. It is very self-directed and encourages you to take the control of your life back.

I would highly recommend, Melissa, to anyone that needs to see a therapist.
If I could rate this place a zero I would. If I wasn't there my son could have had serious medical issues. They would not call 911...finally did and my son was in intensive care for 10 days. The nurse there said he was faking it. Becareful
Bad location, near church and homes.
Way too many people escaping this place. I lived just down the street and had to deal with the 11:00 pm helicopter
My daughter has been admitted to this facility 3 times and all three times we have had a bad experience with the Dr's there. I don't believe that this facility is in any way helpful to kids in crisis. The Dr's never have time to speak with the parents and don't care to actually help kids out of crisis. I left a detailed message for the Dr to call me before he saw my daughter and explained my concerns that I wisshed to discuss with him (Dr Matos), and the Dr did not take the time to read the note the nurse left for him on the chart addressed to him. Children are at risk at this facility, they have girls and boys in the same are, one boy even walked in the bedroom and stared at my daughter while she was sleeping, and no one saw him. Needless to say, not the place for kids in crisis.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. I've been a patient here for 8 months, & it's horrible. This is the only place in a 50 mile radius that takes my insurance. It generally takes about a month to get an appointment, but then you usually end up in the waiting room for at least an hour after your appointment time because they take tons of walk-ins who don't bother to make appointments. The doctor sees you for 5 minutes, ignores any issues you're having, & sends you on your way. I called in the beginning of July to make another appointment to get my prescription renewed, & they told me I couldn't get in until October 10th. My pharmacy called them for 2 weeks to get permission to renew my prescription, & they never once answered the phone or called back. I called as well, & got the same results. They force people to come in so they can charge them hundreds of dollars for their useless 5 minutes with a doctor who couldn't care less. The place is always dirty & every single person who works there is rude. They need to be shut down.
