This worst Hakka food I have ever eaten.

The soup tastes like drinking soy sauce. They fail to tell you that the chicken corn soup though advertised is actually not available.

Yhr spring rolls were put on the bottom of the bag.

The chili chicken came without any sauce and tastes like dish soap.

The peanut chicken had 4-5 peanuts in it.

The General Tao was dry and had cartridges

All these three dishes were marked as spicy but all three of them were bland and had no flavor.

The portions were tiny which in this case works out well.

This place used to be decent back in the day. But in a city filled with hakka restaurants, this doesn't even deserve a star.

Stay away, not worth the premium prices charged for terrible food.

Went there for a family get together. The food was really good, the Hakka-style chilli chicken reminded us of the ones we had in Tangra, it was so good that we kept asking for more rice, lol. The wonton yum mien (with 豬油) was sooo good too! Service was excellent. Overall, we had a great experience there. Planning to visit again and order all the hakka specials.

Good lunch specials. Price reasonable. Shanghai noodles were good. Curry shrimp not so much. Hot and sour soup was disgusting. Who puts cilantro in hot and sour soup. Service very abrupt.

The food was okay, got the chilli chicken with gravy and it was above bland but not great. Came out warm not hot, not too crispy or anything, just mid imo. The $18.99 price point is ridiculous, especially because the portion was really small and there is way way way better out there for cheaper. Amazing location though so maybe that's why. Do not recommend it personally.

The Manchurian Chicken had an authentic taste and flavour. The Chilli Beef was pretty good, but it had too much sauce which did not have any remarkable taste for a chilli beef dish. The dishes were not very spicy. The egg hot and sour soup was spicy and tasted great. Service was fast and efficient. Good prices for a lunch.

Went to Avani for a Friday Dinner and the restaurant was packed. We got lucky to get a table soon but there was a huge line-up after us. The ambience is pretty nice & their staff is very well-trained as they were very quick & courteous.

We ordered - Manchow Soup, Sham Savera Kebabs, Daal Makhni, Paneer Butter Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naans, Nimbu Masala Martini & Coconut Fried Ice-cream.

The Manchow soup is very different from what you get in India but it was very nice - peppery & gingery, great for the chillier weather that night. The Sham Savera was a delight. Our Main courses were decent - not a huge fan but alright. The Chicken in the Gravy did not seem to be grilled (like mentioned in the description) neither was it marinated well so it seemed very bland in a flavoured curry.

Nimbu Masala Martini was lovely. The Coconut Fried ice cream was quite the opposite of what I expected. I was expecting a batter fried scoop but it was a scoop coated with toasted coconut - wasn't that great.

Overall, decent experience but turned out to be expensive.

We are always looking to try different Indian restaurants. Our usual go-to place for takeout is already closed down. A friend suggested we try Avani Asian Indian Bistro, and I have to tell you; it was 100% worth trying.

The place is clean, and the ambiance was welcoming. The staff was very friendly and cordial. We started out with a chili paneer, battered paneer cheese tossed with chilies, ginger, garlic, and green onions. The menu says served “dry” which means it’s been drizzled with sweet and sour sauce. I have to admit, while the spice level was only mild, it was on spicy good. This dish was just the start of a very awesome and tremendous meal for my palate. I just can’t get enough of this starter dish; the batter was close to crunchy and melts in your mouth when you take that deep bite. The sauce was more than savory, and I have to tell you, it was more than enough to fill our lunch craving.

But on to the main dishes, the highlight of this place. Our family loves to eat Lamb Korma and Chicken Biryani, so we just had to order them. Their Lamb Korma has mild curry made with ground cashews and almonds, yogurt, and tomatoes. If you are reading this right now and thinking to yourself, “it’s like any other korma”, you have to come taste this dish for yourself. I’ve had other Lamb Kormas from other places, and this my friend has to be the tastiest and most savory Korma I’ve ever tasted. The lamb was tender, cooked to perfection, and the curry sauce was just heavenly. I kid you not, I fell in love with this dish from the get-go. And of course, what is your Indian meal with eating biryani. Our go-to is always a chicken biryani, and their version has to be one of the tastiest in town. Unlike other biryanis, where you see a mix of colored and white basmati rice, theirs was fully engulfed in that rich biryani color and was covered in a baked Naan crust. The dish was done perfectly so that you wouldn’t even notice the protein (whether you order lamb, chicken, or veggies), the savory rice itself will give you a happy tummy all day long.

Overall, the food, the ambiance, the service & friendliness of this restaurant are amazing. I highly recommend dining here regardless of your craving, Indian cuisine, or not. I would give them 10 stars if I could. More power to you, Avani Asian Indian Bistro, in Matheson, Mississauga! 😊

This was a great place to eat. I went with my family and tried quite a few dishes. Their butter chicken was one of the best I've had at a restaurant, so I will be coming back here. Their jack fruit dish was good as well.

My food was raw, I ate 4 blindly and later on I bit into a chicken ball and the meat was pink. I found other ones that were not cooked properly. Absolutely Bamboozled

The food was amazing. I have never had butter chicken better than this place before.

It was a very elegant dinner. The staff were very nice and very accommodating to the fact that we cannot eat spicy food. We had a great time and enjoyed everything here!

It’s a high end indian restaurant and food was tasty. Ambience is nice. We went on Thursday evening and even then it was full and we had to wait for at least 10 minutes before we got a table. Due to high influx of guests, service was a bit slow. Presentation of food was excellent. Cost is on higher side. Overall a good place to dine in on special occasions.

We visited the restaurant while on our way back from a long drive and were hungry. However I must say that the place really enchanted us. We ordered Veg dishes and non veg dishes and Biryani. The food tasted mind-blowing. Even better than some of the good restaurants in India. The taste was real authentic and spot on. The service of the team was good and so was the ambience. One small nag was that whenever sizzlers were being brought in for guests, the whole of the hall was getting filled with the smoked . Other than that everything else was 5 star.

Been coming to Avani and this location only ever since it opened. It's really amazing to see that after all these years their quality of food is still the same which is 10/10. I moved out 10 yrs ago n each visit I'm here I end up going here. Really and Truly the best quality of food. I only wish that as an INDIAN CUISINE they'd have better selection of Indian alcohol. The whole drinks menu is something that most people drink on regular, but the point should be that its Indian food, match it with Indian beers and spirits which would be a whole experience. Other than that great service, awesome food N fine vibes.

Tried this place after catching a movie nearby and this place has one of the best tasting indo-chinese dishes.
The chicken pakora was very surprising, delicious and definitely a must try. We took the 5 piece and the pieces were huge!
We tried the spicy garlic entree which comes with a serving a rice. Quantity is good. Although it was not spicy, the taste was exceptional!
