The board walk is really cool, and we can find different birds. Beautiful view
Good park for gathering & having picnic. What is special about it, it has sea inside it. You can also enjoy walking, playing and relaxing. Also it has places for barbecue and play yard for kids. What I didn’t like about it is the restroom, it’s dirty & old. other than that it’s perfect.

Parked on the other side of Vimy bridge and walked over. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a beautiful sunny Good Friday and a wonderful setting for a walk! The pup enjoyed it too, I think!
I would definitely recommend a stroll. Parking on the other side of Vimy bridge was empty. I noticed the Chapman Mills parking was smaller and full.
One downside was the cyclists. It's a fairly narrow path and boardwalk in parts. Cyclists take up quite a bit of space.

Great trail, first time we went and we actually happened upon a deer within 5-6 steps from us. That seemed just as startled to see us as we were it, it realized we meant no harm and walked by us calmly and went on its way as did we.
A very nice and well maintained park. Only drawback is a very small parking lot. Ok for normal days but you'll need a lot of luck on tournament days.
Such a beautiful path for nature watching. We took our dog (leashed path) and had a lovely time looking at all the birds. A few of the wooden boards were loose so make sure to watch your step!
My Fiancée and I went on a nice walk through this park we got a little wet for there was a sun shower happening, but we still enjoyed ourselves and the scenery was beautiful.
Great place for a walk with family. Free parking! Feasible with a stroller but a bit rocky here and there. Outhouse for bathrooms near parking. Picnic tables for lunch too. Beautiful during the fall!

Very nice. Has a beutiful board walk on the path. Goes under Vimy bridge. (Picture us on the bridge)
A nice park with lots of space for picnic and walk. Also, lots of playground for kids and nice view. As a photographer, this park for “sweet” to my eyes in a sunny day in Fall seasons. Go there and see for yourself. Free parking! Can get busy on Sundays or holidays, so better get there a bit early or later in those days. For a family, this is a must-go park.
Beautiful place to just be present and relax. Amazing views, good facilities and great connection to bike paths.

Great park for exploring along the "coast" 2 play grounds (that we saw, one for Tinys one for toddlers) and lots of great places to sit with friends and chat with room to spare.

Hubby and I were at the park only because there was event that we had heard if. It was late evening and visibility was low. Despite the fact that we could not see much it was still a sight to behold. I took some photos of the amazing landscape. We will definitely be back in the day or early evening to get a better view. However evening is still very lovely.

A smaller neighborhood park with a smaller play structure. The picnic table looked like it requires some upkeep. Still nice to have a park right in the middle of a neighborhood.
This was an excellent place to visit. Tucked away from bustling traffic. Only drawback to me, its very loud which spoils natural quiteness.
This park has nice trails for biking. There is a playground for children and also has some displays explaining facts about the area, such as the wildlife and terrain.
An excellent trail that’s located right within the city. With a combination of paved and wooden pathways, and small bridges and waterways, it never gets boring. And the trail goes right under the Vimy Memorial Bridge, and that is a sight to see.

Beautiful spot for walking and biking! There's a fun park with a play structure and plenty of places to sit. We see a lot of wildlife here too! Lots of frogs, birds, turtles and even bats if you come later into the evening! There are soccer fields as well. One of our favorite spots for evening walks after work!

When in doubt, head to Andrew Hayden. Honestly not many places in Ottawa with scenic views and beautiful sunset. You can walk here, plan a picnic with your friends and family, play with your little ones or just take a picnic chair and relax looking at waterfront and setting sun.
One thing to be warned about it the parking is limited and sometimes challenging to find a spot.
Enjoy the park, cleanup after you are done and be respectful to others around you. Cheers.

A very nice park for walking and playing. 2 play grounds ( one smaller aimed for toddlers to K) and a larger scale one with a splash pad. A duck pond and 3 different paths east to west. Multiple soccer fields and baseball diamonds. Good sized parking lot. Bathrooms at the larger west side playground
Gorgeous hiking trail along the Rideau river which loops under the Vimy Memorial Bridge. The trail is super easy and accessible with well marked signs. There are lovely wooden footpaths and park benches with beautiful vistas of the waterway. Well maintained and easily doable in every season. Highly recommended.

A beautiful park with lots of shades and opportunities for outdoor activities. A couple play grounds, paved walking trails, bike bath (next to road), lots of trees offering shade, beautiful views of the ottawa river. A great place for a picnic with friends and family.
Beautiful location by the water. I usually go here to eat before i go to work. Nice trail by the water and you can see all the boats in the summer. Highly suggested if you want to bring your dog or cat on a leash.
This is my go-to spot in the summer when I want to get out of the house, have a sunny walk, and maybe try to find some snakes in the tall plants. Very well maintained, quaint, relaxing.

Always fun to take a walk through the park. There's geese, ducks, turtles and more wildlife to enjoy. Plus in the fall the trees look amazing.
This park doesn't really have much to rave about. At least a few swings but the structures are too small for big kids and too big to be safe for toddlers.
Massive park between Centrepointe Drive and the Nepean public library. Soccer field, baseball diamond, pond, play structure and splash pad, tons of greenspace. Very well maintained. Bike paths run along the perimeter of the park.
Very accessible Park, good for young kids, basketball court is a bit rough, but over all great neighbourhood Park. I take a walk few times a months, and sat down until the sunset, I recommend this park!
Excellent place for walking and jogging right beside pond. There are benches available throughout walking trail.

Nice splash pad! Play structure with swings and sand near by. Washrooms beside parking lot. I’ve never had a issue with the washrooms. The splash pad is abit older but still does a great job! Good size parking lot off the street! Access directly beside pathway.
Went there in the early spring (so could be better in summer) and it was very spooky. Lots of jagged branches and looked like a stereotypical haunted forest. Most trails aren’t marked on Google maps, and it’s next to a hydro one construction site. It’s an interesting walk, just be sure to have data to use maps while on your walk.

Nice trail for a walk. It's easy to walk in all seasons. It's flat and goes in a loop. You may need to cross a small creek but good samaritans built a little path with tree branches that allows you to cross creek without getting your shoes muddy (most of the time). It's bit noisy compare to other trails as it is near the main road. Also this is not marked trail.

Good soccer field. Weird parking but it's facing the field. Hill on the side for parents to watch from (side where players sit), with a park behind it.
A perfect place to enjoy the Sun rise. Benches are placed near the "duck pond". Bird watchers will enjoy the ducks, hear and other birds (gold finches, Eastern King bird, red wing black birds, Cardinal).
Great place to take out your kayak or paddle board. Lots of parking available and just a short walk to the dock. There is even a pavilion with lots of picnic tables. We saw lots of walkers, kayakers and people just there to relax by the water. There is a pathway but we did not go for a walk. Next time! Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to take your kayak out.
Great little park away from the busier main Andrew Haydon spot. Play structures are nicely spread out with ample benches and a great variety of neat pieces like a white water raft.
Also to the north side of the park is a dirt trail leading to some large beaches, low lying areas on the shallow water of the river. Quick access to the paved trail as well.

I’ve been living in the Ottawa Gatineau region for a while now and I feel I’ve visited most of the local parks and recreational areas. This is one place though I have yet to visit until now. Though it’s winter for my first visit it looks very pleasant for sure. Lots of trails and spots to picnic as well as scenic spots of the Ottawa River. I for sure will check it out during the warmer months. 👍☺️
Having fun walking a few kilometers here and there. Lots of little wildlife, birds, plants, a maple grove and discovered the Poet's Pathway.
Nice trails could be better marked would be nice if there was a map at the beginning. Dog friendly. Not as busy as stoney swamp or the lime kiln ruins trails.
Amazing outdoor exercise walking trails, baseball diamonds, ponds & soccer fields. The water feature at the beginning of the park is absolutely amazing and the pond has ducks so bring lots of bread
This is a great local park. There are picnic areas, play structures and a small water park. The park is right along the Ottawa/Outaouais River and near a sailing club. It's a beautiful place for a walk in nature. There are several paved walkways. The park is popular with people of all ages, including newlyweds (for photos), artists (open air painting) and musicians (band shell). Free parking.

Nowadays, I love jogging around the area, skating during winter, walking my dog in the park, and catching sunsets!

Great trail to walk around and take pictures of birds animals lots of trails to choose and lots of birds and wildlife on fallow field road.You can expect to see black Capped chickadees, white and red Breasted nuthatches, Downy hairy and Pileated woodpeckers to name a few. You Can also see a vast array of squirrels including red and grey and of course chipmunks. Great trail to bring kids to to teach them about nature. There is a gravel parking area which isn’t maintained in the winter. Paths are groomed or used snow shoeing and skiing.

Nice area for a walk. Board walk is really nice. There are water facing benches along the way. Great view of the Rideau river and Barrhaven Vimy memorial bridge. You will see mostly walkers but once in a while you will bump into bikers which can be bit challenging. There is public washroom near parking area.
Finding parking can be bit challenging but if you are willing to walk a bit you can park at Riverside park and go to this trail via bridge.

Me and my kids were flying a toy quadcopter when it went out of range of the remote and kept flying south over the conservation area. Went looking for it and were pleasantly surpised by how verdant and life filled the area is. Never did find the toy, and the hogweed warning signs were a little ominous but it was still a great surprise and we will go back to wander there again!
Cute board walk- a lot of people fishing. Can be crowded fast. Good for pictures and watching people boating on the river. Beautiful walk with your friends or dogs (on leash). The boardwalk is Right next to the main busy road which takes away from the beauty a bit so only giving it 3 stars.

This park is perfect for all ages, has a great splash pad & playground, a huge soccer field, nice trail for hiking & biking, small pond and amazing scenery along the way
A good community park sandwiched between 2 elementary schools. Its has an average number of swings, slides, and other activities for kids. It has a soccer field that is well maintained and clean, and a few parking spots next to an outdoor basketball court. In winter, there us an ice rink next to the soccer field and there is also an average mound for tobogganing.
Wonderful little park that is virtually unknown.. benches & tables are clean, garbage cans are emptied regularly (unlike many others in the city.. 🤢🤮) & so the park does not smell.. there is a water fountain & even a lower tap for dogs to enjoy their “live water”.. highly recommend.. wish all parks in Ottawa were like this one.. 💛💚
Great local area. Surrounded by big soccer fields and natural areas to view local wildlife and enjoy some quiet and have a picnic. Just down the trail is another park with a splash pad. I find this park great for my adventurous littles, although I've heard other parents of very young kids say it was too big for them. There's a fun giant swing they can both sit on and a lot of climbing equipment. The benches have excercise instructions for adults who may want to do some excercise while they visit and there's a small gazebo to get some shade. There's also a water fountain, which I find is a rarity at other parks I've visited.
First experience. Before I mention the trails... Please people! Be good humans. Don't leave your garbage behind. Why do you think someone else should be your maid. No. Just no!
Now... the trails. The area is lovely! It's clearly signed at the entrance that the place isn't winter maintained. Parts of the trail are VERY muddy. Like ankle deep! Mosquito heaven. Gps was very handy as I got a little lost. The trail at the hydro towers wasn't well marked. It was also super wet over there. Best to avoid that side (east side) unless you're in rubber up to your knees!

Nice walk with multiple routes to tailor the length as needed. Lots of bugs due to standing water and can be muddy underfoot in places depending on the recent weather. Don't forget the bug spray!
Great park for kids, large green space. In the winter you can sleigh and skate.
