Love this park. I grew up coming to this park. Great playground for kids. Horseshoe pits available which we love to use, i would actually love to get a little ladies league going. A skating rink, a toboggan hill and 2 baseball diamonds. Overall great park.
Great parking location to access many trails in Awenda Provincial Park.
You MUST visit beach 4, by far the best view for the sunset. Keep in mind that you have to bike or hike there so it will be dark on the way back to your vehicles. Flashlights recommended. Biking to the beach from the campsites is only for those who are daring enough to ride back uphill the entire way.
Kettles lake is nice, easy trail around the lake( great for younger kids if they are able to hike that distance, nothing really challenging about the trail) showers and washrooms are clean, staff are helpful.
Beautiful and peaceful
Very interesting place. They had turtle hatcheries all along the trail just waiting for new turtles to emerge. Very interesting and enlightening trail with story. Thanks
Fun beach

Very pretty place to stop for a breath of air as we did, but would also be very nice for a day at the beach. There didnt seem to be any facilities other than the beach itself, and parking is not free.

Nestled along the shoreline, this beach is a true gem for those seeking a serene and picturesque escape. With its unique blend of rocky and sandy sections, it offers a diverse landscape that caters to various preferences. Whether you prefer lounging on soft sand or exploring rocky formations, this beach has it all.

What sets this beach apart is its pristine cleanliness and peaceful ambiance. It's not overrun with crowds, making it a perfect hideaway for those looking to unwind in tranquility. As the sun begins its descent, this beach transforms into a prime location for watching breathtaking sunsets, painting the sky in a mesmerizing palette of colors.

Accessibility is a priority here, as recent renovations have made significant parts of the boardwalk wheelchair accessible. This commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone can enjoy the beauty of this beach.

Moving inland from the shore, Woodland Beach offers a unique green sanctuary. The surrounding woods and chirping birds create a soothing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts. The lush greenery enhances the overall appeal of the place, adding a touch of natural splendor.

The beach's waters are remarkably clear, allowing you to observe the vibrant colors of the rocks beneath. It's a peaceful oasis that fulfills all expectations of a tranquil beach experience. Water shoes are recommended for navigating the rocky areas closer to the shore, but once you venture beyond, expansive sandy bars extend into the lake, offering a comfortable and scenic space.

In conclusion, this natural beach is a true wonder. Its combination of rocky and sandy areas, clean and calm environment, accessibility features, and the surrounding natural beauty make it a haven for those seeking a harmonious connection with nature. Whether you seek relaxation, exploration, or simply the joy of witnessing nature's wonders, this beach has it all, making it a must-visit destination for all beach enthusiasts.

Stayed at Awenda Provincial Park for 5 nights just this past week. First time at this park & we were impressed, to say the least! Reminded us of Arrowhead, where some of the sites are very private and some are a little more open but all in all good sites. Our site in the Wolf campground was awesome! We felt as if we were all alone...minus hearing kids at other sites playing lol! It rained a couple of days and our site had no puddles or pooling of water. If you are camping end of August or fall watch out for the acorns! They do fall often from the trees, no one got hurt but we did get startled a few time at night. The park is bigger than what it seemed, lots of trails that are multi-use (bike/hike) which we love. You have to drive to the beach, no doubt about it, but there is plenty of parking (labelled areas). Be sure to bring your water shoes, beach 1 & 2 were rocky with pebbles. Unsure about beach 3 & 4 since we had our dogs couldn't t go beyond beach 2. Beach 2 is the dog beach where it is leashed but many dogs were off leash. Even when you do park to go to the beach there is still a bit of a walk to beach 3 & 4. You can also canoe or kayak in Kettle, rentals are available. Unlike Presqu'ile Provincial Park, Awenda has plenty of comfort stations between the different campgrounds and plenty of water taps and outhouses. Park is close to Penetanguishene & Midland, so easy to grab necessities if you forget any. We are definitely planning to go back for our 2024 season, it is a beautiful park on Georgian Bay and definitely on our top 3 of Provincial parks.

A nice public beach, with parking, washrooms and lots of space.

However, you have to have a Tiny Township Parking Permit or it’s a $90 fine. NO pay parking available.

If you are looking to get away from it all and not be disturbed then Silverbirch Beach Park is ideal for you. There are NO services here, not even a picnic table. A small base of grass land, a short hike of about 150m to emerge on the waterline to a very rocky beach (no sand to speak of). Just find a place to put a collapsible chair would be a challenge but it is certainly quiet and serene. Enjoy!

Cool spot to go stargazing. Nice and dark for any astrophotographers out there.
Park has a variety of activities and landscapes - multiple beaches, hiking, camping, lakes, canoe rentals, a park store with camping essentials - and is one of the closest provincial parks if its size to the GTA, being 2 hours north of Toronto.

The park is also well suited for stargazing - Milky Way will be visible on a clear night.

Campgrounds had the appropriate amenities (fire pit, close by to water tap, washrooms and showers) and were a good size. Staff were all very friendly.

I highly recommend Awenda for a camping or day trip!

Gyönyörű part. Csodás naplemente. Igazi nyugodt környezetben. Mindenkinek ajánlom aki a nyugodt zajmentes környezetre vágyik messze a nagyvárosok és túlzsúfolt partok zajától!
Awenda is a beautiful park! A lot of trees, big campsites with a lot of shade and friendly staff. The grounds and comfort stations are well taken care of. The beach is spectacular! It is quite a drive or bike ride from the campground. If you have kids, bring a wagon to carry your stuff to the beach from the parking lot.
Enjoy
Nice place for camping !
Washroom and shower places are nice and clean, and we book the closest spot, so it was perfect.
Depends on the spot, it may little difficult to go to washroom due to distance, so please check the spot before you make a reservation!
Beach was nice too, it takes 10 mins to drive there, but water was clean and nice, just be careful the rock under the water.

Rocky in places but sandy areas are some 100 m south from the main entrance. Definitely walk to that area and don't make the same mistake as we did by staying on the rocks!
Beautiful park with clean picnic areas. Very clean restrooms and playgrounds for kids! Gorgeous sand dunes and beaches! Loved the beaver pond trail which is 0.7 km and easy! Also we enjoyed the beach trail and Brûlé trail as well. Be prepared there is no cellphone reception at all but who needs that! Bicycle friendly as well! All and all it was a very pleasant experience and lots of good memories! Must visit!
This is a beautiful area on Kettle Lake! Bring your hiking shoes and bug spray!

Camping at Awenda or with a day pass you can hang out here. Great access to water. Sandy and shallow for swimming. Bring your canoe or rent one through the park and paddle around Kettle lake. Picnic tables and water side benches for picnicing.

Very nice and clean beach. Just for your information there are no dogs allowed and you must obtain a parking permit 5 days prior to your trip there otherwise they might ticket you $30.

One of my favourite Southern parks. Whether you prefer radio free or more privacy or you like open ones. RV camps available too . Nice trails some of which is 2 hours .. Kettle lake is nearby adding more spots to see .. AND THE BEACH! is one of my favourite .. the water there is something else
Known for their beautiful sunset!! Must see
Loved this park. Big private campsites and beautiful beaches. Only downside in my opinion is that you have to drive to the beach because of the cliff between the water and the campsites. Some great mountain biking trails and an inland lake for canoes and kayaks if you prefer that to Georgian bay

One word beautiful. The drive to get into the parking lot for the beach is scenic. You're surrounded by trees towering over you as you drive in. On the way in, there is a parks store for your convenience. There are several parking lots, close to the beach. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the beach. There is a designated area for dogs to swim, and the rest of the beach is accessible for everyone. The color of the water will make you think you're no longer in Ontario, combined with the white sand. It wasn't crowded when we got there and the water was warm. Awenda has many trails that you can explore if that's something you're interested in. We checked out the Beaver Pond Trail (a quick 15-minute trail). Reservations are encouraged.

A beautiful place within Awenda park. Relaxing, nice walk, the water is so calm so paddleboarding is excellent here.
There is also wildlife - turtles, so some areas are marked not go to, to protect them.
Recommendation - After walk check for ticks for lyme disease.

Woodland Beach is an unexpected gem that my wife and I stumbled upon during our journey back from Parry Sound. Initially, we hadn't planned on visiting this beach, but as we were searching online, we came across Woodland Beach as an alternative to Wasaga Beach. Since it was sunset time, we decided to make a stop at this picturesque location before heading home.
Woodland Beach truly offers a tranquil and serene environment. The lush greenery surrounding the beach creates a soothing atmosphere, complemented by the melodic chirping of birds. Although it is not a sandy shore, but rather a rock beach, this unique feature adds to its charm. Compared to its more popular counterpart, Wasaga Beach, Woodland Beach tends to be less crowded, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
What makes Woodland Beach even more appealing is its accessibility. It boasts biking and walking trails, a kids' play area, nearby shops, restaurants, and wheelchair access, catering to the diverse needs of visitors. Additionally, the beach provides a stunning vantage point for witnessing breathtaking sunsets, which has quickly become one of my favorite aspects of this location.
All in all, Woodland Beach is a hidden treasure that should not be missed. Its tranquil ambiance, convenient amenities, and breathtaking views make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful beach experience.
Features tennis courts and a modern playground.

One of the best beaches near GTA. Clean water, and less crowded. There are 3-4 beaches giving plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the water. There are few hiking trails to explore and like every other park, you will need to reserve your parking spot ahead of time. There are plenty of parking spots here so you should be fine as long as you reserve your spot a couple of days in advance.

Tree Lighting, Wreath making, Food and Fun for all in Tiny Township November 29 2022!
Amazing fall experience. It is a small trail around the lake of about 5 km. Lots of stops to enjoy the scenery and have a chance for a kiss with your loved partner. Enjoy!
Great park for my 3 year old and our friend's 2 year old, but still challenging enough for kids in the 7-8 year range. Very clean!
Amazing views! And quite a private little spot. I find it tragic though that the township now requires permits (upon threat of $90.00 fine per 3 hours of use) for you to park at this "public" beach. Especially because all the very wealthy houses along the street have their own private water access. Who's going to want to use it other than visitors traveling through? It's sad that you have to be rich to enjoy water access in a location with the most fresh water on earth. The beach is small, but nice and has one picnic table. The water is very hard to swim in however as it's shallow and extremely rocky for quite a ways out.

We were in Tiny for the weekend. We heard about the ferry at Cedar Point. Unfortunately, we were turned away as we are not local residents. We were told to check out Eagle Cove. It's a nice little beach. Parking is limited to permit holders. We did not stay long for this reason.

Don't go. Other beaches are nicer.
A nice beach area really sandy once you get past the rocks. Not very busy and a nice sunset. They just recently redid parts of the board walk making it wheelchair accessible. Washrooms are also open in the summer.
One of my favourite public beaches in Ontario

What a cool park. Has everything right there and so many different climbers, slides etc. Has the rink. Fields. Baseball diamonds. Washroom on site. It's a really cool, clean park. We've been once amd kids loved it so much they ask to go back here more then any other park we've been to. Fun for all ages. Heck I even enjoyed myself haa. I seen a community garden there also I think. Picnic tables. Lots of parking. Pay phones. Garbages. Fun fun
Great place. If only I had a kayak or canoe..

This park is really more of a parkette... There are no facilities of any kind (washrooms, play structure, etc). Really, it's a strip of lawn next to the road and a nice walkable path to the shoreline. The "beach" is all rocks and is not the kind of place to throw down a towel and relax. I gave it 3 stars for the location (very close to me) and the views, but if you're looking for a "park" go elsewhere.

My favourite beach. Parking is limited and you need to have a parking pass, you get a free parking pass if you are a local. The beach sand and water is really good, the beach is so long with lots of space when busy.
Is this rink for public skating or exclusively for hockey? Every time I go with my daughter to skate we have to leave because there's a hockey game going on. We try in the morning, afternoon and evening and every time every day it's a hockey game

Very nice sledding hill. One side with bumps, one side flat. Can easily accommodate four to five sledders on each side at the same time. Convenient parking near the sledding hill. And the larger park has baseball diamonds and an ice rink. Absolutely a great destination for the kids.
Beautiful waterfront park immediately north of Awenda Provincial Park. Unfortunately, the township has removed the picnic tables that used to be here. Parking is restricted, so I had to leave shortly after I arrived/after I took some photos for Maps, but it's not a private or residents-only park. There is a small creek draining into Georgian Bay on the east side of the property; has a sandy beach area with good views of Giant's Tomb Island in the distance. Treed perimeter; line of trees separates the beach from the open field portion of the park.

Great weather for a family skate today! Covid protocols being monitored.
10 people maximum. Busy but not long of a wait.
Great family park. Limited parking. Great ice fishing access.
Awesome brand new park, 2 ball diamonds, bathrooms(seasonal), and ice rink in the winter. Thanks Tiny Township for all your work on this park

Cute little beach. I heard that this used to be a bigger beach but due to erosion the beach is gone. It is perfect the way it is though. Because it’s a tiny beach in Township of Tiny, and not much of a beach space, you don’t get too many people hanging there with beach umbrellas and such. It’s nothing fancy, basically a little park by the water with the tiniest beach.

This used to have a relatively good sandy beach that with rising water levels in GB has now amounted to a 25ft sand beach that's left. This spot doesn't require a parking permit for Tiny and has a nice view with lots of boat activity. It also has a play center that is still taped off due to Covid-19

The facility is a great facility but on the day I was there we lost our morning games of softball because of persistent rainfall. However Tiny township personnel along with the help of the umpires they cleared the diamonds of and we were able to play 2 games in the afternoon.

A lovely little park with a beach at the end of the Penetang Bay. Mostly only locals so easy to get a spot in the carpark and on the beach. It will be one of my go to places when up at the Georgian Bay. Several big trees provide ample shade and the water is calm and clean.

There are some single and double track mountain bike trails across the street. You can find the routes using strava or trailforks.
