Kindhearted people who really care about your well-being !

I can’t speak to the therapeutic aspects and doctors and counselors because we never got that far. The office staff was horrendous and the intake process absurd. There was a tremendous amount or background paperwork I completed, but it had to be put on their “portal” to keep the appt, which I wasn’t informed of until they cancelled the appt because it wasn’t there even though I had already filled out all the forms and submitted them. I tried to put them on the portal but the technology is horrible and I couldn’t get it to work right. So, I got someone on the phone finally after getting bounced around, and when they ran out of time, they made an appt for the next morning to go through getting it uploaded on the portal because apparently just sending the forms back isn’t enough. I called at 8:30 and the person I was supposed to talk to wasn’t there. Enough…it was causing more stress getting the appt than what was ailing me. I just cancelled…not worth the trouble and not a good sign seeing how screwed up they are. Doctors and therapist at Ross Center, be aware…your front office is a disaster.

!!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My doctor was amazing but unfortunately will need to leave due to the rude and inattentive admin staff. They incorrectly charged me $300 for an appointment. I called and asked them for a refund but kept having me jump through hoops. They eventually gave me a refund but I had to spend my entire day having them ignore my calls. When they FINALLY answered, they claimed I got several emails from staff members earlier in the day letting me know they refunded but I never received anything. And I never got an apology for any of this, instead I got calls requesting I remove my review of this awful experience. $300 is make or break for some people's livelihood, instead I recommend they hire staff who are empathetic to people's situations. So unless you like to be robbed hundreds of dollars find a new practice! They clearly don't train their staff on how to do their jobs correctly or even how to speak to human beings. They're dealing with patients with ANXIETY and just cause more anxiety than they fix.

Avoid this business at all costs. Look at bad reviews across all sites. Meeting with a doctor at this center was ultimately the worst decision of my life. I was having trouble sleeping, and they prescribed me an Rx *off-label* to try to help. I voiced concerns about the off-label use, but the doctor assured me that it was "low risk, not addictive, and that I could stop taking the medication at any time" and that "at low doses not all of the properties of the Rx are activated". Both of these statements were WRONG - not only did the Rx make my sleep worse, it created an artificial anxiety and other horrible side effects that wreaked havoc on my life. I only took the Rx for less than 3 weeks. During that time I shared my concerns with the Dr. who advised me to keep taking the Rx and even DOUBLE the dose at one point (HORRIBLE advice - see comment about low dose above). I tried taking it as directed, but it made me feel so bad that I had to stop. Dr. again said this was ok to stop immediately without tapering (again, WRONG), which then caused significant side effects from the "withdrawal" even though I only took the Rx a couple weeks. The Rx also severely agitated me among many other side effects for which the risk was never discussed with me. Of course, what does the Dr. advise as the solution? To try MORE meds to counteract the side effects of the previous. So ridiculous.
I suspect the business will be quick to to dismiss this review as having a bad reaction to medication. Why I think the Ross Center deserves 1 star is because the doctor did not appropriately educate me about potential side effects, and on multiple occasions gave horrible advice that was just plain wrong and incorrect. It has taken me nearly a year to recover from their negligence.
In the end, I spent a ton of $$$ with the Ross Center to make myself much, much worse off. I know it sounds dramatic, but I feel lucky to be alive after the hell they put me through.
I requested a refund and they refused, providing a boilerplate response and citing that their care aligned to "services outlined in our agreement". In reality their negligent services included:
1) Prescribing antidepressants *off-label* to someone who is not depressed
2) Suggesting to quadruple the dose of a dangerous medication in less than 24 hours
3) Prescribing drugs/treatment that have known, significant drug interactions and proceeding anyway
4) Actively advising patients to avoid reading about potential side effects
5) Advising a patient to quit a medication cold turkey, without tapering
6) Prescribing more drugs to counteract the significant side effects of previous drugs - trying to get you hooked for life on an "antidepressant train" AVOID THIS BUSINESS

I recommend this center to friends and family whenever I get the chance! I cannot say enough good things about the staff and doctors. I am always greeted with kindness from both receptionists and doctors. I’ve been a patient for many years on/off and my life is so much better for it. Thank you!

We have had a fantastic experience at The Ross Center over the past few years! Dr. Coyle and Dr. Salcedo are caring and professional, as is the rest of the office staff. Would highly recommend for both adults and children!

I stopped treatment here at the Ross center due to the extremely negative experiences I have had with the support staff. It's saddening because I find their services and therapy quite valuable.
Throughout my time here, the receptionists I have talked with have been extremely rude as well as unprofessional through the phone and in person.
My tipping point was when I ended up driving 40 mins for my appointment only to have been told while at the center that my therapist was out sick and someone was supposed to have called me (I was not notified). All the receptionist said was "sorry about that" and "When are you free for the next appointment?"
It seems like from previous reviews that there is a reoccurring pattern of negative experiences with the support staff.
If the support staff is detrimentally affecting Ross Center's this much (both as a mental healthcare clinic as well as a business), I would not recommend this center to anyone. It is quite honestly not worth your time/money and, ironically, your mental health either.

My psychiatrist, who I have been seeing since the mid 1990s, joined this practice for a few years. Since I wanted to stick with him, I started going to the Ross Center. I would echo the comments here about the support staff being rude and inconsiderate. On one occasion, I showed up for an appointment, only to be told that my doctor was off that day. When I asked why I hadn't been notified, the receptionist lied right to my face and told me that she had called me and cancelled the appointment. When I disputed her assertion and offered to show her the log of recent calls on my phone to see if the Ross Center number was on the list, she declined. She clearly forgot to call me, and then tried to blame her mistake on me. It was very upsetting to say the least -- to be accused by receptionist of not being able to manage my own life.
My doctor left the practice during the pandemic and began working from his home, seeing patients via Zoom. Although the Ross Center was supposed to transfer all of his patients' records to his home address, they somehow didn't send mine. When I sent an email to the Office Administrator, they fixed the problem quickly, but it should have never happened in the first place. It just shows that this place is completely disorganized and has little regard for the patients.
The bottom line is I am glad that my doctor is no longer affiliated with the Ross Center.

The Ross Center's Medical Director, Dr. Beth Salcedo is amazing! She is kind, compassionate, and takes time to understand the needs of her patients. She takes a holistic approach to treating anxiety which I have really appreciated. I highly recommend her!

Great place to work
