There is an insanely creepy tunnel that goes underneath the Hudson River Parkway is not lit up and is scary.

I had a great time we all did with the family and friends and the park is nice because the rangers come around and grounds men clean up and make sure things are orderly and things are clean. The families that are all around people's own families are you getting along everybody's having a good time cooking meals, very nice park and a nice playground area for children very nice.

Could be better. Because of the hose and dog tub area, it gets muddy quickly. So your dog could easily get dirty. Definitely not the best place to go after a recent grooming.
I’ve also heard that the fence may be too low for some dogs. And I have experienced dog to dog aggression from other dogs, which I can understand it could happen, but the problem is that the dog owner did not leave the run, even after being aggressive to three other dogs. He just apologized and said he was tired to do training. I ended up leaving (like others did) so that my dog was not attacked again, and also to prevent him from copying that behavior. We sat by the bench outside, and witnessed the same dog being aggressive towards another dog! Finally the owner left and apologized to me once more as he was leaving.

Very nice dog run. Comes with a water hose to clean up after your dog or even use to fill up a dog bowl.
I have never been there and didn't know they had turtles. Very nice park highly recommended taking a stroll.
This park is definitely more that meets the eye. From the cleanliness of the park, to the peace and tranquility, plus the scenery. Not to mention the free movie's in that park. Definitely a great experience.
Quiet and calm oasis in the east side where you can sit and eat your lunch or early dinner peacefully with sound of birds chirping. Split by the second avenue, these park get a lot of love from the neighborhood residence with its upkeep and people who frequented this place. I hope it stays this way and no homeless element camp in and ruin the spot.

Needs to be revamped with rubber flooring like dog runs in LIC
It's a lovely park. I think it's very tranquil with a good mix of sunny and shady spots to sit. I'm usually at the dog park. It's got benches all around the perimeter and a great open space to chase a ball with the dog. The waste bags are always available. The gates have monstrous latches on them so watch your fingers. I don't think there's a restroom anywhere in the park, which is disappointing. All in all I really enjoy this place. In fact it's quiet enough that I can do business calls for work from here. Good data signal on my plan.

I've been coming here since childhood to relax and let go. This place indeed has changed over the years. The best time to come is during weekdays and preferably in the mornings.
Good split up of the park, for large and small dogs. Found this park when I was in the area on dogpack app. Would recommend this park, and hope to be back with Jazz!
2 good dog parks here for big and small pups! There's thankfully lots of space to run, but when they do they get real dusty and it really shows on my black Giant Schnauzer... she looks like a salt n pepper GS after leaving here. Overall, great spot, great location, and awesome community of dog lovers checking in daily here on dogpack. It makes it so much easier to know who's there, that I just rely on that.
Beautiful park with an awesome Dog Park where doggies can frolic and have fun. Park is nicely maintained and space for dogs is nice and big. Never an issue here and owners seem nice and friendly while also picking up after their dogs.
Park would be great but there is a huge puddle of mud that forms where the hose is and never seems to dry up. Please fix this. The dogs get muddy and disgusting and it is a big deterrent.

If you have a dog who likes to run around, you’ll love the Carl Schurtz Dog Run that overlooks the Promenade and the East River. When we were there,it was being power washed! The park is kept spotless and clean which is great for you and your dogs!

This place is a great public park! 🏞️ Stuyvesant Square Park is a nice green 🌳 spot in NYC 🗽 that has lots of picnic 🧺 tables (some are even wheelchair ♿ friendly) and benches! Perfect place to wind down and relax 😌 in the middle of the city! 🏙️ I wish I came here more often!
I'm a dog walker/sitter & have a few clients in the area. I love taking them to this dog run! There's 2 sections for big and small, water during warm weather, nice space & the dogs who frequent here and their pawrents I find to be way more laid back rather than judgey or sensitive like I've experienced in other dog parks.
Narrow strip of land with steep slope, it took a great design to make it a neighborhood place for people of all ages to enjoy. Best in summer and fall where various outdoor activities are popular for the neighbors nearby, from BBQ to baseball game to outdoor cinema.
Good food run. Lols of dogs there to play with. Great views of the East River.
Beautiful park with morning sunshine. It feels so peaceful to hear children playing and see families gathering here for the weekend. It adds a hint of warmth and tranquility for life in this busy megapolis :)
Passed through this park on the Hudson River Greenway bike path. It has tennis courts, a public bathroom & plenty of benches to sit on & look at the bridge, Hudson River & NJ.
A long thin park definitely worth a walk! Climbing up the few flights of stairs there will give you a lovely view as well and I would definitely recommend it. I have not done it at sunset but I assume it can be gorgeous too. Overall, definitely worth a calm and nice walk there to enjoy the park itself and the scenic view it gives over some parts of the city. If you walk it north to south you can then easily end your walk in Central Park which will be just nearby.
This is one of the best park to relax. Fresh air,great views, peace and quiet.
And they have 8 tennis courts and they have a tennis lesson at court 1. This coach is great!! He is very energetic and care for each student's level. He is very popular!!!

Nice dog and people.
An incredible enclave of peace and tranquillity. Two parks next to each other each with a distinct feeling. One with a statue of former Gov of the Dutch Colony Peter Stuyvesant— for who the park is named (give him a search, a very interesting character). Events pop up in the park including music, stargazing, and dancing. Tables are on the west side version to sit and eat or play a card game. Overall one of my favorite places to be in nyc.
I'm glad for this park .Clean and medium size park .I find it perfect to get a fresh air or read your book or a just to relaxing . It's kids friendly and lot of greenery. People are friendly and quiet. Statue a Peter Stuyvesant director- general .
I recommend it to anyone who want a quite time or a break in the middle of a busy day of work.

Great dog parks! Love the bigger dog one best. Clean and has a hose for water in the summer. They can definitely get dusty playing, but it’s worth it with the space they have to run. My little guy loves it! It’s also along the East River and nice to take a walk up there afterward!
Love this place ! It’s a small , mixed-sizes, dog park with many dogs! It’s not exactly “busy” but not ,, ever empty either .
A small park on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Beautiful gardens, lawns, playgrounds, and the East River walkway next to it.
It's ok small but it dies what it's suppose to do.
This is a great place for neighborhood small dogs. My 10 year old dog, who often doesn't play in other dog runs, has a wonderful time here.
My favorite to go place which has lots of amazing views. It lies below the Washington bridge and on the side of beautiful Hudson river. There is lots of open space , playground, swings and other material for playing. This place is always crowded since most of the people go their for evening walk. Also this place is best for running and doing exercise. There is spot for family picnic as well. Absolutely a hidden gem on the bank of Hudson river.
The big dog park is a great size. The small dogs park is okay, the rocks shorten their running span and it can get crowded really quick. There's a pushy dog walker (black bobbed asian american) who hangs out around 11am and tries to pick up clients while she ignores the two dogs she's in charge of. She barks orders at other dog walkers and dog parents as if she owns the place. Sours the energy really quickly. My dog didn't like her energy so we're going elsewhere even though it's so close. Much better to take your small dogs to Leroy between those hours and avoid her ownership issues of a very small park.

Nice place to bring your 4 legged loved ones 🐕 for a walk or run! Great place to spend time with family, friends, kids and kids at heart! A long stretch of concrete pavement along the East River and a view of Roosevelt Island and lighthouse. Your choice of activity.
Nice dog park that is split for large and small dogs. Was my first time there as I’m trying to break away from the Industry Kitchen dog park. Was pleasantly surprised by the dog waste compost too!

A quiet urban setting for your dog. Less bustle than the adjacent North End Dog Run, right across the street from Whole Foods. Often only 1-2 dogs present.
Large, by NYC standards, for a dog run. This city block rectangle allows dogs to run and play. It can get boisterous, but there is a segregated small dog area. Tap on the floor sensor to activate the fountain. Sit back and watch dogs of all sizes cavort and let out pent-up energy.
Thunderstorm was approaching as I took my walk. Then this creepy guy in a black and yellow umbrella came and sat two feet from me. I had to move. So much space and he had to set up his chair right next to me. Lord have mercy!
Seems like he was waiting for the rain so he can bath in it.
Omg watch out for this guy if you ever walking and a storm is coming.

This place is awesome and quickly you can see who's not part of that environment because everyone is in a good mood and having a great time with beautifull views
We go to the small dog run (dogs 25lbs and under). It’s nice because it’s paved so our dog doesn’t get as dirty, and it has a nice view overlooking the east river esplanade which is particularly nice on summer nights at sunset. Sometimes people bring in dogs that are a bit too big, but overall it is usually kept clean enough and people supervise their dogs well.
Lots of dirt! Your dog will get dirty! On the plus side it's great for them to dig around and it doesn't have any of that weird concrete surface other dog parks have. It's rather small but everybody who frequents it is really nice. enough space for a big dog to run back and forth and get tired out. I occasionally walk dogs (I miss mine from CA) and I've tuckered out several Huskies and Labradors in there.

Biking or walking around this park is great . Stopping from time to time to enjoy the views of the Hudson and New Jersey and downtown manhattan is a must . Great locations for pictures . Much more busy on the weekends when people come to have family time and picnic.
My small dog was attacked by a German Shepherd in this dog run, she has broken ribs/abdominal injury so I would definitely be careful if you have a small dog. I also heard other incidences unfortunately. Most owners are cool but again some people leave their big, bad behaving dogs unsupervised and they do attack other dogs so guard your small dog at all times while in the run. These owners will not take responsibility, won't apologise, they will just disappear and you will get stuck with a suffering dog and thousand of dollars of a medical bill. Also I encourage anyone to reach out to me or leave comments if they know a full-size German shepherd with a female owner in mid 20s, short dark hair, she is thin and tall. I'm still looking for this dog/owner particularly because of the poor manners of leaving without acknowledging what happened.

Fantastic dog run. The dogs and the owners are well-behaved, friendly, and respectful. In addition to the drinking fountain, the dog run has a sprinkler system for dogs to play in the water. It is very well-kept and clean with plenty of shade from the trees that line the western and eastern edges.
The real charm of this place is the dogs an owners that visit, great neighborhood, conscientious owners, friendly dogs that play well. A flat area good for playing fetch, but no obstacles or terrain like some other parks. Worth the walk as your dog will come out less dirty and having had a grand time with the company of respectful dogs and owners.

Nice, clean location. During warmer months, the flowers bloom and there are squirrels, birds, and dogs getting taken on a walk by their owners. It's a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. Good for children, too. It's a pretty small area, and feels like a small park.
Typical dog run but a fairly quiet and nice area in the upper west side. There is a hose hookup for water. I’ve met a nice number of people here on my three visits this past week. There is one lady with a fanny pack and an accent (British?) who may attempt to tell you how to handle your own dog/ give training advice (which I *suppose* is fine but she lacks interpersonal skills so it just comes off as being nasty). Other owners mentioned she did the same to them. Otherwise good experience.

Great dog run! Everybody was very friendly, and while there are "small dog" and "big dog" areas of the run, I found that there wasn't much segregating going on and they were all mixing together. Our dog, who is 12 pounds, seemed to have a great time running around with the 25-35 pound dogs, even though they played a little rough with her sometimes. Either way, great community of owners come here, who were all friendly, happy to talk, and only on one occasion hesitant to step in if their dog seemed to be getting out of line.
