周圍環境有點亂,不是特別的乾淨整潔,不同線路讓遊客不知所措,需要問工作人員。

Super cheap and cool experience!
Peaceful ride. Great views. If you're looking for a free alternative to see the Statue of Liberty, the Staten Island Ferry is the way to go. You could grab something to eat in the terminal or even wine and beer before boarding the boat.

Really easy to miss your ferry in the morning cause the guys whisper their routes, the ferry signs are never on, and they always change which slip they use.

very convenient to shuttle from the other island. You can also see the liberty statue, free easily, and clearly on your way home.

One of the best ways to get close to the Statue of Liberty and not pay a dime!

I'd say it's almost more memorable to see the skyline of the city from the boat than the statue itself! Afterall the boat passes the island with an approximate distance of 750 meters or 2500 feet, so you will need a decent camera to take a good picture!

Since the ferry is free it gets really really busy, even though it departs every 30 minutes at its peak times. While I visited on Sunday, the queue started in the middle of the terminal and crowd pushing on the boat was carnage!

We stayed at the back of the boat which was the perfect spot not only to see the Statue of Liberty back the whole Manhattan skyline!

Last visited in May 2023.
Just an insanely great service the city provides.

Generally a great way to get to places in NYC if time is abundant. The ferry travels fast but the wait time can be long (over 15 minutes).

Easy to reach by subway. Nicely organized terminal with some restaurants. Clean. Nice to take the ferry to pass by the statue of liberty and take photos for free. Not worth paying and standing in line for to go up to the statue of liberty. If you want to go to Staten Island and directly back again, you still will have to offboard and join the line again to board the same vessel. You cannot stay onboard.
Trip to U.S.A. back in 2016.
We wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty but at that time it was severely damaged and it was in the process of restoration and it had limited number of visitors per day.
To see it we chose the Staten Island Ferry, it is free and it takes 15 minutes to cross in one direction. And only 10 minutes at most to wait the borading for another.
The trip was fast and the ferries are clean.
Keep on standing Statue of Liberty!

Love the ferry! So great that NY has brought this to the people! Would be really great if the boarding crew would be more consistent. Sometimes all the disembarking happens before boarding passengers are allowed to enter -- which seems to work great and makes a lot of sense. But sometimes the entering and leaving passengers move simultaneously -- today there were two lines boarding and one line (in the middle) leaving the ferry. Helps the passengers do what you need us to do when we know what is expected of us.

Its a free commuter Ferry to and from Staten Island. If you want a closer view of Lady Liberty but don't want the tour guide or waiting in the long lines to take a tour in it, this is a great option. Just remember, once you get to Staten Island, you must depart the ferry, and go back in line to get back on the returning ferry to Manhattan. Its pretty easy flow and many people do it so you just follow the crowds. We literally got off and back on the same ferry. The ferry is huge and fits over 3,500 people so it wasn't hard to find a seat during non-rush hour on a Monday. While headed to Staten Island, sit in the right side of the boat as you enter for views of the Statue of Liberty & Manhattan skyline.

Plenty of NYPD presence on the boat so it felt safe.
Free ferry to Staten Island with great views of the Statue of Liberty. Head to the right side of the boat as you enter from Manhattan to get a spot on the deck for best views. After passing the Statue head to the rear for nice views of Downtown Manhattan. Round trip is about 45 minutes. Boat on the way back didn’t have an observation deck.

We showed up before it departed, we got our tickets scanned and as we tried boarding the boat the captain or whoever it was, denied us access. He said they could only take 3 of us but not all 4 as he was over capacity. I had paid for my tickets almost 2 weeks before we went, but somehow there was no room for us? I requested a refund thru Viator since that’s who I booked thru, and the water taxi denied a refund saying “there tickets were scanned, there was room no one got turned around”. So these people like to take your money and not tell the truth about the situation. DONT BOOK

It's on the river, so it's a good river view. East River. There are three benches and a nice shade to sit and rest. Not a busy place with visitors. It is a good place to take a break. The Waterside is popular for exercise and jogging.

Free service provided by the state and it’ll sail pass the Statue of Liberty on the way to Staten Island. Best way to see it! Ferry is huge and there’s 3 levels of seating available.

super convenient with great city views!
Very rude staff couldn’t even get into the ferry after waiting. Wasted 4 dollars.
What a fantastic way to get around New York City! Unfortunate that it is not covered with the metro card and has an additional cost.

$5.50 for 2 adults to ride one way, sensational. Staff is so helpful as long as you know what route you need, they tell you exactly which ferry to get on. Look at the blue dots going across the river and zoom in to find which route you need to take. They won’t know about the areas you need to get to only the route name <3 Great views great vibes. Drinks for sale on board. Upper level through the back door soooo windy but sooo amazing

I understand we are in an epidemic but the app needs to be more clear of having to make sure you have to have a mask to board the ferry. I am now waiting in the middle of the night with no mask, only 6 people boarded the 9:16pm boat to Pier 11, the workers on the ferry were super nasty. I know it wasn’t their fault but they need to make sure that wearing a mask is more clear on their website when purchasing the ticket and they should be able to provide masks under city laws for those who do not have a mask - esp those who are tourists in the city.
very convenient transportation. The cost is the same as in the subway - $2.75

Always a pleasure.
When weather is good you don't want to miss all the good views along the river
$2.75 for a beautiful boat ride! When i visit NYC, I always take the Tram to Roosevelt island. Then hang out on the island. To leave, I always take the scenic ride this ferry offers. Make sure to take the ferry that makes a few stops in brooklyn before ending at Wall St. Pier 11, not the one that goes directly to Pier 11. A nice 40 minute ride. Nice breeze. Nice views of Brooklyn, Manhattan, Empire state building, Freedom tower, Brooklyn/Manhattan/Queensboro/Williamsburg bridges. Awesome during the day or night, or any time in between.

NYC ferry is always good. Cheap fun to ride. So always 5 STAR for them from me. But this stop got 4 STAR from me because they dont have any kiosk machines for buying tickets. So take ferry from this stop only if you bought tickets already or if you have there NYC ferry app installed in your phone already. price is $2.75 as usual and
for the park itself its nice crowdy but nice.

It's a nice hop-on hop-off day tour. Staff on board was very friendly and helpful. They took a real good care of my parents. You get the great skyline views. It goes real close to liberty island and even stops close to it if passangers on board want to take pictures. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting New York.

I'm a huge fan of the Ferry. It a fast, efficient and pleasant way of getting from one place in the city to another. And let's not forget: the views on the Manhattan skyline are absolutely astonishing! But I got to be honest: I don;t like this landing. There is not protection against the sun or the rain. It is often very crowded, especially during weekends (Smorgasburg is right next to this landing).

The ferry from East 34th Street to North Williamsburg was super easy to navigate! I got the app, headed to the dock, and boarded within 10 minutes. The ride over was quick and peaceful. It was awesome seeing Manhattan from afar.
Only compliant is on the way home, if the ferry is filled you have to wait for the next one to arrive. Some people missed the ferry and had to wait an hour for the next one.

Such a nice experience! Take the ferry from here to Dumbo and take in the amazing views from the East River. Was recommended to me by a friend, and I can agree that's it's one of the nicest things you'll do in NY. Better yet, go for sunset. And make sure your on the deck of the ferry. It's chilly during winter, but promise it's worth it.

I would not ride this ferry, the operators do not respect the right of way to other vessels and I have seen them nearly cause collisions with multiple vessels around this area. It is only a matter of time before a serious accident happens.

Why ever take the MTA again when you can experience a ride on the river!
If you want a different experience in New York city then this is the place to go. The Tram ride is absolutely amazing the views you get of the city are stunning. There are lots of things to do on the island it has a Cornell university campus, four freedom park lighthouse and many more fun things. I the spring time they have an annual cherry blossom festival too.

I used my NYC pass to book the Liberty 🗽 express tour after sunset.
It was great. Manhattan by night + the statue in it's stunning light.
The tour guide was informative and friendly.

I can't complain at all and i am happy it was included in the pass attractions.

Took the ferry service to IKEA in Brooklyn. The service on weekends is free and runs every 25 minutes (departure times are posted on their website). The ferry service was satisfactory and the scenic ride through New York harbor was a nice bonus.
Such a fantastic and fast way of getting from Brooklyn bridge park to Williamsburg and greenpoint. We often take it to the city as well. Same price as the subway and much more spectacular.

Super fast comute from Astoria to midtown and downtown manhattan. If you are boarding in LIC look for the Pepsi Cola sign, the location of Goggle maps is in the wrong place. Is right next to blend on the water restaurant.
Waited for three ferries before we could get on. Maybe it was because of Labor Day weekend but this was a 1.5 hour wait to get off of this island!
Edit: worker just assured us it would take 10 minutes and it's now been 25...
New ferries, great views, a bar inside.
The best way to commute between LIC and Wall St! Quick and pretty. Wifi on board. Coffee on board. Bike racks on board. It's amazing. Thank you for building this stop, NYC Ferry!

Cancelled the boat and never told anyone waiting in line. Such BS and a horrible joke of a "service".
Better connection to Dumbo. Ferries are not very punctual but fortunately there is a realtime tracking app.
I took the ferry from here for the first time and it is the best way to view NYC from the water. It feels like I am taking one of those boat tours of a distant city when I vacation there. I love the view of sailing under all of the famous NYC bridges.

Great way to take a ride to the Brooklyn stop and continue onto Lower Manhattan. Get a day pass and check out the stops. Ferry's are on time and quickly load and leave. BEWARE. We booked our day passes on the Waterways app, there is no eTicket or confirmation email. Luckily I took a screenshot, because there is not WiFi at the ports, so I could not access the app and you are given no barcode or anything to scan. The electronic ticketing/app is terrible and needs much improvement.

We had a great time and did get to see the highlights of the NYC sights.
Our tour guide was Jim.... great sense of humor and very knowledgeable of NY and it's history.
Patrick, the boat guide also made the trip very enjoyable.
It was well worth the $120 for a day's trip.
Don't buy the 9/11 museum tickets for the same day; there is not enough time to walk through it and make it back to the ferry before the end of the day.
This tour does not let you get onto Ellis Island or Liberty Island but the boat does drive up pretty close to it and is worth the trip.
Just be aware, once the tour is over, it drops you off back at the pier near Air/Space Museum and you are on your own to find transportation back to your hotel.
Had a great time!
Just don't laminate your tickets like I did..... It throws them out of harmony with the universe!
