Great space for talented musicians. Nice sound system, friendly staff and environment. Chaser salad was excellent and the humus with peta bread was outstanding!

Piss stinky place that is not accessible for disabled folks! 0/10 would not recommend. We asked for an accessible seat & the option was to sit in the high top seat away from the stage or pay an extra $20 PER PERSON for seated area. So many other better venues that are queer and disabled friendly with kind and accommodating staff

Love the performance. Drink server seemed overwhelmed, maybe she should start getting drink orders before the show starts! Also, the cocktails are so nice, why not make the couple food offerings a little more thoughtful too?
Thanks guys, overall great performance.
Amazing venue with a full night of entertainment. I'm so glad I stayed for the after party; the music was great to dance to, the gogo dancers were FABULOUS. They did a gorgeous "Birth of Venus" tableau that was so unexpected and sexy. The whole night was a blast!

Well, Jazz music evening doesnt get better than Zinc bar...just a few minutes away by foot from washington square, the bar has amazing drinks and food. The Whiskey sour is something I encourage everyone to try...the whole bar has a chilling vibe...

This place is such a hidden gem. Had a lovely time here enjoying classic jazz and trying their many delicious drinks. The staff are so warm, welcoming, and FUN! The people who attend are kind patrons who enhance the ambiance of the bar. I had the best time and cannot wait to come back!
Absolutely fabulous! The late night party on the weekends is ***amazing*** — the dancing is great, the performers super fun with a top notch mix of go-go dancers, variety performers, we even saw an aerialist! Combined with the finest champagne, you can’t beat it.
Everything about this place was amazing. Starting with a secret door, you would never even know a club was downstairs. The staff was friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We went specifically to see Brian Newman perform and we were not disappointed, his talent is just unreal. Surprise guests and a collaboration with Angie Pontani were an added bonus. The after party started immediately and had such unique acts including talented dancers with multiple costume changes and an aerialist. We never knew what was coming next and were equally impressed with each performance. If you’re looking for a unique experience I highly recommend the Jazz club and look for a night when both Brian Newman and TJC perform, you won’t regret it.

I will definitely not be going back here, nor would I recommend it to anyone, friend or otherwise. My boyfriend’s steak was terribly prepared, my pasta had something wrong with the sauce where I had to pick out the garnish because it tasted terrible. We ordered the same appetizer and dessert as the table next to us but they got more food than us somehow.
As for the Jazz they were talented but it wasn’t what we expected.
Overpriced and not a good experience

Mezzrow is a hip old school jazz spot in the west village. If you want to get the good seats book online and get there early. If you want to save some money you can walk up and take your chances in the back. The music is always on point and they do 3 sessions a night. Very cool!!

First time attending a concert here and it was for Haluk Levent. His concert filled this entire venue and it was one of the best I’ve been to! Great atmosphere, we had an amazing time. Even met him backstage :). Definitely recommend.
This is NOT a jazz club. Think of it as just a lounge where on a night you might have a jazz musician playing or you might have a band playing pop or soul music (we got Stevie Wonder covers). If you want quality music look up who is playing but don’t come on any night, because you will be disappointed. This place is not at the caliber of the true jazz clubs in the city so you will have to do your own work to confirm that you’ll have a positive jazz musical experience. Because if you don’t have good music there’s really nothing else this club can offer you.

The drinks are mediocre, and for $30+. The atmosphere is nice but other places like the Flatiron room have great music on random nights and world class whiskey selection. You will get kicked out after 2 hours there. All in all just a very average NYC experience that’s very pricey. So come here if you just want to burn money.

I’m truly not sure why anyone would come here except to “feel fancy,” because the club lacks real substance of anything of value on an average night.

After having to email and had to follow up for a reservation I’m shocked that a 5 star brand yielded such a poor experience

It was my first time joining a concert in here. I really like it. People had a lot of fun. I was standing because I purchased my ticket that way. If you get your ticket this way, just go little early like 20 or 15 minutes before the concert and get your spot. Dress up shoes wise your comfort zone, and enjoy your concert. If you’re a Turkish person remember to be kind each other 😝and have a lot of fun. This was my experience! Thanks to Serdar Ilhan organizing some awesome concerts so, we will see our favorite singers and musicians!!!

I've never heard of a flight of lasagna until I stopped in here. It's four mini lasagnas of different types. I went with a vegetarian ones but they're also meat options.
This was an accidental find while wondering the Village. I went in because they had both the pride and the trans flag outside, and I left extremely happy after enjoying a flight of a veggie lasagna.
I am a member who arrived 25 minutes late and face a wall.
The entire reservation process is a nightmare. They can take a day to answer but if your late over 15 minute your gonna face a wall. Also the crowd is not great. I think it’s open to non members. My drinks was good. For drinks in a high en atmosphere I much prefer fasano , casa Cruz or even centurion. The best of the best is obviously coco. For jazz the blue note or Milton.
Here’s the deal: I LOVED the jazz I saw. Sought out a night here for a particular, young artist. And that artist did not disappoint. But the jazz isn’t what I’m reviewing, rather the experience provided by TJC @ Aman, which was lacking.

We were the first to arrive for seating around 6:15 for a 6:30 set. We were asked at the door if we’d like to check our coats. We did not want to (we rarely do. It’s a fussy act imo.) we were guided to our seats (4 chairs but we were just two). I set my coat on the back of my chair. When I got up to use the restroom the host came over and asked AGAIN if I’d like to check my coat. I said no. He waved his hand in my coats direction and rolled his eyes. Quite condescending. I’m an adult who can decide these things on my own and don’t need asked constantly.

The place was very pricey. You’ll read about $32 cocktails. That’s true. And they use massive ice cubes 😒

Minimal number of people which I found disappointing for the jazz artist. And once more arrived near the end of the set it became clear that the clientele is there more for the vibe and dark room than for jazz. Lots of talking during the set: not why I was there.

Best way to sum this up: pretentious venue to hear jazz in the background rather than a jazz-forward club.

***I saw a 6:30pm set on a Tuesday. The jazz fee was $75/person for the set.

cozy & intimate place to catch some great music. great date night spot too! just make sure not to talk during the sets ☺️
Lovely jazz bar under the hotel with its own little entrance for guests not staying at the hotel above.
Friendly staff and great wine list.
Obviously a lot depends on the act you see but we loved the venue and the act (Kennedy Administration) were fantastic too.

They offer a few light snacks - crisps (chips!) And nuts etc but nothing more so eat earlier and enjoy the drinks and cool vibe.

This famous jazz club is a must-visit place with great performances. However, keep in mind that it runs on an extremely tight schedule. Not only do you have to wait past your booked time, but also they kick you out as soon as the performance is over. There is really no time to sit and enjoy your drink after the show. As for the server(s), all they did was to bring you an incomplete order and still has the audacity to ask for a tip BEFORE you get your order. They will ask if you want to close your order, and I recommend that you do right there because not only do you have no time to enjoy anything further, but also if you forget about it and leave when they rush you to get out, it will be closed at the end of the day with 20% tip.

Caught an amazing jazz show by Grammy-winning Mingus Big Band on Monday night. The whole band killed it! Totally enjoyed the performance and definitely planning a return. Everyone played their hearts out – pure musical magic! All the pieces are well planned out. Incredible.

Great cocktails and music! Highly recommend visiting this hidden gem. Go for the jazz. Go for the drinks. Sit at the bar! Go for life!
My favorite restaurant to visit in NYC. Their lasagna flight is AMAZING. I always get the "vegetarian" one because I love the options: spicy, cheese, pesto, and mushroom. All SO YUMMY! Definitely enough for 2 to share.

We love sitting in the garden area out back that is enclosed in glass. It's such a beautiful place to have a nice Italian dinner.

My partner and I walked in for dinner. We were told it was a $15.00 per person cover charge to sit with the jazz band out the back. I declined and said we weren't interested in the show especially as it was already running, just dinner. We were told sure, we could sit at the bar. I said nah, what's wrong with the empty tables up front? Nothing, so we sat there. Took another 5 minutes for someone to check on us. We ordered the rib eye steak. I'm not sure what the steak was that they served but I can assure you it wasn't rib eye. It was a poor quality cut of fatty meat.
We ate what was edible, which wasn't much. Asked for the bill and went to pay. Their machine wouldn't accept pay waive from either my phone OR the card. I instructed the staff to remove the automatic 22% gratuity as I was not paying a tip for poor food and poor service. Glad I'm a tourist because I would never eat here again or recommend the place to anyone.
Rude, terrible, expensive.
The pizza was pretty good but we loved Pete’s Banjo and the roasted eggplant lasagna.
The garden area is lovely but it can get a bit congested when at full capacity.

Very crowded. Ordered a $13 cocktail, charged 22$

———
Update: was giving three stars, now one star.
Reason: owner responded to my gentle fact statement with hateful speech and harassment of banning customers from social media.
I checked the menu again and I admit my mistake of stating $13 for $15 for the cocktail price. My apologies. But I found another
interesting fact! You started responding while you didn’t even know you don’t have a $13 cocktail. Does this place really have a manager? Or just clueless avengers?
The experience is already so horrible online after reading your comments to other polite customers. Who dare to risk their lives to speak to your manager outside of a courthouse!
It’s my fault to overpay you to harass me. Looks like harassment is part of the standard experience you’re offering here. You redefined Jazz!👍
Stopped in on thanksgiving and am so happy I did. I love the unique setting of the skylight with the big lamps and all the plants. The pizza was delicious and cooked very well, as was their appetizer bread. I had mulled wine, and my server was very attentive. Also, the restaurant has a very interesting history!

Food:
The reviews had me with very high expectations going in. However I feel it didn’t live up to the hype. I got the vegetarian lasagna flight and honestly it was very bland. No flavor at all. Gave some to my partner to try and they agreed. Also didn’t fill me. They basically just filled 4 ramekins with mostly mozzarella cheese, which I don’t think is enough given the price that you’re paying for it. The pesto lasagna that all the reviews mention didn’t taste like a damn thing. We also got the pizza with anchovies and capers and that was really good so I give 3 stars for food. But even then I don’t think the pizza was revolutionary or worth the price.

Service:
A lot of the dishes given to us were dirty…cups, plates, knives, everything. There was just leftover crust on everything.

Plus our waiter dropped our napkins on the ground outside and still gave them to us. It was also hard to ever get his attention.

Atmosphere:
The ambiance was the best part. It’s a very cute and romantic restaurant.

Price:
I paid $66 dollars, $80 with tip for the lasagne flight, a drink ($15), a pizza and a soda. This was honestly less than I expected to pay but still wasn’t worth it all together.

From the moment I stepped into this space, I let go of my usual role as the protagonist in my own life story. Tonight, I was content to be an observer, surrendering the spotlight to the real main characters. In this intimate setting, I found myself immersed in a different kind of story. The music filled the air with its captivating beauty, and the audience was a diverse yet harmonious community, brought together by a shared sense of curiosity. Amidst this enchanting backdrop, even the cocktails felt like an integral part of the experience. Here, the focus was not on chasing fame or fortune but on sharing a genuine passion. The atmosphere was undeniably romantic.

In this moment and once again, I can’t help but feel that I have found the New York I have always dreamt of.

This is the second time I’ve been here, the first time I saw Stout and she was Fantastic on my goodness. But the second time I went I ordered a non alcoholic drink and what I received was a drink with alcohol in it, very strange. There is also a $20 minimum for each person at every table even after paying $40 for a ticket to get in. Music was great, I was so happy to see Phony Ppl live in concert and this was I think the perfect place to see them! They were chill after the show and I got to take a picture with Elbee Thrie and I got all their signatures on my program! They were all fantastic but the service there is interesting. There were two girls with us at the table that stent charged but we’re told about the $20 minimum. I understand the concept because I’ve sang at places like Don’t Tell Mama but I wish they would be consistent because I didn’t want to spend $40 more dollars after spending almost $100 for the tickets. But yeah the vibes are great and I had a good time despite all the money I spent.
This is definitely a place for music and music alone. We had a great time for our anniversary. Some serious talent coming out of this place. The place is small overall and you have to have a two drink minimum which kind of sucks but I guess that’s how they make extra money, which is fine but at least offer something more upscale than drive bar style drinks. Since the place is small, seating is bit awkward. The show made everything worth it though!

Better come during weekdays before 5:30pm. If not, you have to wait for minimum 1-2 hours. Not good for a large party size as the place is really small. But the music is really great. As I’m just an amateur jazz listener, sometimes I don’t get music played by some jazz artists. But I feel like music played in Tomi Jazz is ‘amateur friendly’, as I enjoy listening to them. We ordered omurice, curry croquette, and avocado pasta. Their food is not amazing, but it’s ok.

Came here for a special 5 different bands show and had a lot of fun.

I was starving and ordered a lamb-beef burger with salad and it was pretty good and fresh. I don’t usually order food at bars/clubs, but I had no complaints here.

It’s not good to dance on a completely empty stomach, so I was happy I could have dinner there and then dance the night away to awesome live bands.

My experience was pretty much horrible. Had to wait outside in the rain for an hour, beyond the stated doors open at 10:00pm, to get in.
We were limited in seating area, after we were informed, seating was first come, first served.
The area we were forced to sit in was unsafely crowded and unacceptable for any type of event or dinner. This seating gave a whole new definition to rubbing elbows with your neighbors. We couldn't move left or right or even to comfortably drink a glass of water.
Sadly, I will never attend another event at this place.
The saving grace was the sound system and artist viewing, which were up close and personal.
Nevertheless, I will not be back.

Food is OK. Maybe a 3 1/2. It's not bad, but seriously, who cares? It's good enough to soak up your drinks and meet your spending minimum. It's delicious if you're into bar food. You're not here for the food anyway. You're here for amazing live music and to be so close to your favorite musicians that you can see the sweat off their brow and catch the spirit when that music hits your spinal cord!

Went for a Cima Funk concert. Never been there before. It has a cozy/intimate type feel to it, but the place was extremely packed on that night. They tried to squeeze people into tables, and it was uncomfortable. A table for 4 would be turned into a table for 6. The food was on the pricey side, but good. The drinks were also good, not watered down. Service was good, we got our drinks/food rather quickly.

Arrive early, as it gets busy and there is always a line! No cover charge Monday-Thursday. Delicious, flavorful food. I enjoyed the lemon drop cocktail. The cod roe spaghetti is amazing. Shrimp shumai, edamame, lobster scallion pancake, croquettes, all good as well. The place is filled with cool trinkets and beautiful mood lighting. Polite and attentive staff. I found it slightly warm inside, and we were seated on stools without backs (seating is very limited) and they only let a few people in at a time as it’s a small place. Those are my only minor complaints. I’m not a huge fan of jazz but this was a nice experience.

Rarely do I wait for 2 hours to get into a restaurant. This was one of those rare occasions when it was entirely worth it. We got there at 5:50 and got in at 7:40. The food, atmosphere, music and drinks were all wonderful. Prices very fair. Highly recommend the cod roe udon and curry udon soup, salmon rice balls and green tea ice cream. I also had the road runner cocktail and it was delicious. One of those gems that is worth waiting for. I will definitely be back.
Great place with a beautiful patio and cozy atmosphere. It was a little bit loud inside in the midday hours on Sunday.

Lasagna Pancetta, Cavolfiore e Piselli and Pete's Banjo (Hot Spiced New York State Apple Cider with Bourbon) were really tasty 🤤

I love coming here. The ambience is so lovely, especially when they have live music! I always get myself a plum wine whenever I’m here. Reasonable prices for good Japanese comfort food. Service is very friendly, a must visit when in NYC! I am a recurring customer :)
My wife and me had an incredible dining experience, The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. We ordered a salad and Lasagne, and both dishes were really good. I'm sorry we didn't take the Pizza and the 4 different type of lasagne. To top it off, the Flan for dessert was a heavenly treat that left me craving for more. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious Italian cuisine and warm ambiance

Love iridium. Best jazz club NYC. Zach Brock concert wonderful. Sound was balanced, drinks great, and the intimate warm atmosphere enhanced by seeing Zach's enthusiastic family. A friendly charming and musically satisfying evening. Zach btw super talented jazz violinist with an obvious classical music background. Bass and drums respectful and creative.

Come prepared to wait outside, but know that it will be well worth it!
*A surprising mix of Japanese + Jazz, but Tomi does an excellent job at creating a incredible atmosphere and experience.
*The food is delicious. We had the seafood & avocado pastas.
*The service is incredible, one of the gentleman noticed my friend and I attempting a selfie, came over and proceeded to take multiple different pictures for us.

Cannot wait to come back!!
I wish I had gotten more / better photos, however we dined later in the evening and it was rather dark.
This was my favorite meal in NYC. The Cacio De Pepe lasagna was AMAZING. So flavorful and filling.
The pizza was great too. It's rather thin, which I like, and the sauce was very fresh tasting. Will definitely be back on my next visit.

Our first night of our NYC vacation and this place did not disappoint at all. The band was amazing. The staff was very attentive and gave us great seats so we could see and enjoy the band completely. It was a pretty slow night. We were told it was probably the heat. Not a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner which included the Vesper drink (the only pic I have of the food), House Gin & Tonic, Rigatoni and Shrimp, Orechiette Pasta and, of course, NY cheese cake.

Our experience there was wonderful. The band was everything we could have hoped for in a 16 piece big band. The guest singer was awesome as well. We were there for the early seating last Friday, Sept. 8 and the band performing was the "Birdland Big Band." Our food was also very good. Had the Penne, Risotto with some added Shrimp and drinks. Staff was very attentive. One problem we did have was taken care after a few phone calls and couple of days. Our orders and credit cards were switched with another patron's. Very dark in there and we were being hurried to pay because staff was getting ready for the next show. It all got resolved in the end.

Amazing hidden gem! Had an amazing time at Tomi Jazz listening to some music and eating delcicious bites. My favorite were the omelette and the croquetes; would nor have the mozzarella with prosciutto again because it didnt stand out as much. The service was impecable and the singer was lovely. The vibes were great. Overall I thought it was pretty affordable for the high quality. Came in around 5:30 and waited for 40 min to be seated (and ir was raining so I think ir was less busy than usual). Recommend coming in early and on a weekday. Will be coming again!

Great performance of The Hot Sardines with Elizabeth Bougerol at Birdland. Mostly 1920's jazz songs that sounded new again, some original songs, great tap dancer. We truly enjoyed it.
Food and drinks -fried calamari were tasty. I personally did not like their Mojitos, too much lime, and too little rum 😆. Better off with the wine or beer. However we came for the music and we left very happy!
Recently traveled from Australia to New York mostly to check out the jazz clubs and out of the clubs I visited, Smalls by far had the best and most casual atmosphere. I’m a bit sad there’s nothing like this place where I live as I said to my wife during the show we attended that I would be a weekly regular here if I lived locally. They host an eclectic array of jazz artists but they all stay true to the jazz traditions so you can be pretty much guaranteed to enjoy whoever is playing on the night you attend. Even better this is not a club like Smoke or Village Vanguard that kicks you out after one set - we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted during multiple sets. Service (drinks only) was friendly and the venue is intimate without being crowded like a few other clubs can be. Smalls was definitely my pick of the New York jazz clubs. Hope to return one day if I ever go to New York again.

Excellent place for a show and drinks with friends. See legends of Blues and up and comers, along with a host of talented musicians, play and share their stories. Get up close in this small venue.

I have been going here since it was an upper west side location, and now they have been in midtown for the past 10+ years. The only downside is that their food menu used to be more exlectic and a bit better overall for nice dinner theatre experience, but the burgers are still decent. Highly recommend for music and drinks, however. Enjoy!

An amazing hole in the wall with fantastic jazz music, drinks and atmosphere. They do not take reservations so going with a large group will take a long time to get seated. For reference, we went as a group of 5 on the weekend and started waiting at 8pm, it took almost 2 hours to get seated. Music cover was $10 per person. The drinks were delicious and a large selection to choose from. We didn’t get to try their food but we saw other tables getting it and it looked good as well. Highly recommend!

Great place to enjoy entertainment we went on open mic night, which felt like more talking with artists advertising their relevant shows and upcoming appearances. But overall a lovely evening. My wife had a bottle of Prosecco $55 and I had bottle of Corona all night, my wife did order a warm goats cheese salad, that was very under par and certainly wasn’t worth $21
We had a fantastic time at this jazz club! The live music was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was electric. The talented musicians created an unforgettable experience, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Whether you're a jazz enthusiast or just looking for a fun night out, this club is a must-visit.
Perfect date night spot or celebration spot that’s low key. Very dark and sultry and Darius gave excellent service with personality which was so refreshing and delightful. I also loved Dj Shortys set! He played all the fun funky tunes from 90-2000s with sprinkles of modern pop tunes which got everyone dancing. Highly recommend getting there on time to check out Kelly Green Jazz band! Love that there’s tasty mocktails on the menu as well.

Went to a show this past weekend and wasn't sure what to expect. The space is a little smaller and I'm glad we ordered tickets ahead of time. We grabbed seats at the bar which provided a good view and space for drinks. The service was great, with the waiter and bar tender working their butts off. The performance was okay and I enjoyed it enough. The bummer was that it only went for an hour, so in a way it felt rushed. I don't know if I'd go back but I'm glad I checked it out.

We had an incredible time at Blue Note Jazz Club! The atmosphere was truly amazing, creating the perfect ambiance for a night of live music. The performances were outstanding, showcasing the talent and artistry of the musicians. The friendly staff added to the overall experience, making us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the evening. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable night of jazz!

What a crazy intimate venue; there is no bad seat. We arrived early to get choice seating, and to enjoy a pre-show dinner. The food was good, a little pricey perhaps, but delicious. The highlight was really the show, though. The night we were there we caught The Bad Plus....and they were phenomenal....but so was the lineup for the rest of the month.

Was fortunate enough to see Les Paul at the old location, and this one works hard to live up to the original vibe. The preferred seating closer to the stage only cost a few dollars more, and it was worth it to see the Blues Beatles (except watching the stage from a sideways view can be hard on the neck!)

It may be a small venue but they always fill up on their events. I was here for their Swift night and Emo night and it was amazing. At first it seems empty but when the crowd shows up it gets crazy. The bar has beer for $8 and shots for $13 plus tip. (New years they had a free shot with a purchase deal). They have several types of beer, like Dragons Milk and Voodo Ranger juice Force. They also have high noon seltzer. If you want to get smashed quickly, I'd recommend going for the 9% vodoo ranger IPAs. If you get a table, it's usually 20 per person, so what I like to do is buy one of their wine bottles for $50 so I can sit with my crew. The bar tenders are really friendly and the veriaty of events held here never disappoints

Incredible, historic jazz club. The place is small and intimate, so much so that little or no amplification is needed for most instruments. The acoustics are great for jazz, especially since it's packed with bodies. The club has good AC and stays cool throughout the show. Saw some great musicians here recently, and will definitely be coming back for other gigs.

Incredible jazz club. A historic venue well-deserving of its world renown. It's an intimate setting and most of the seating is a good view of the stage. They pack a lot of people in, so the seating arrangements can be really tight, especially right up against the stage, but it's worth it for the music. Dessert was good, but you come for the music, not the food. I saw Julius Rodriguez and his band perform here and will definitely be returning for other gigs.

I'm not a jazz expert but I do enjoy a live music venue from time to time, and Mezzrow did not disappoint!

It's a small jazz club in and around the West Village/Union Square area which provides some fantastic cocktails, small bites, and, of course, jazz!

The performance itself lasted for about an hour and towards the end the waitress will ask if you want to stay for the next show. I'm not sure if that happens often but it's not to know that option exists in case you want to stay longer.

Pro-tip: Make reservations in advance! It does get packed.

Once a really great place to see a show with decent food and good drink selection at reasonable prices, has now become a corporate tourist place. Food mediocre and beer wine list is low rent.
Seating/ sound good, but wait service is kinda slow. Eat before you go.

Great atmosphere and cool vibe in this intimate jazz club. Shared 3 appetizers of which, the coconut shrimp was the best. Well chosen, decently priced wine list. The sound system was brilliant in that it was crisp and loud but balanced so that you were not overwhelmed. The performance by The James Hunter Six was stellar, check him out!

Excellent venue for concerts.
Seating is comfortable and close to the stage. Sound system is excellent.
Food was very good. Very nice service. Was there to see outstanding JJ Sansaverino 🎸.
When in Times Square, stop by and hear great music 🎶.

Great experience. The seating is SUPER tight though. It was uncomfortable to be so close to others during the show. The music was so good. We saw Cory Henry. He was a great performer and the sound was excellent. Would definitely see him again. They have a $20 minimum so we got a drink and dessert. The tickets ended up being $126 for two and we got them ahead of time.

Loved this place and the vibes were amazing.

Jazz lovers, this is a place to visit while you are in the city. Very cozy and serves the purpose of jazz.

The employees are very friendly and fun.

I recommend you go a bit early before the show starts as it will be hard to find seats when it gets busy.
Fantastic, amazing. If you are into jazz, this is a great spot. We watched Ty Stephens in the lower level called Theater. The place is very cozy and good for interaction with the artist.
Seats at the bar or table should be bought in advance online for the show. Then there's a 20usd minimum consumption fee per person.
They have table service throughout the show.
Very friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Just a kind of place you imagine when you think of jazz in NYC. Small, common, relaxed place where it seems that everybody know each other, but you won't feel strange or odd because you don't. Dozens of mostly young musicians are coming all night with their instruments making an incredible atmosphere during jam sessions. Even if you do not know jazz, you will enjoy it. If you come later during night (after 1am) you might not pay the entrance (which is regularly 30 or 35 on weekends, and 25 if you just drop in from the street, without a reservation - which is more possible on weekdays). Of course, you have to be prepared to wait a little bit to enter, but don't give up because of that, it's worth it.

Funky small Blues club that's been around forever - only seats about 100 people. Table service. Highly recommended, A bit hard to find because signage is lacking - hidden gem!
Fantastic. Iconic. Memorable. If you are a fan of jazz, then Birdland is a must-stop when in NYC. They recommended buying tickets online, but I took a chance to buy my ticket at the door. It was not a problem, and I saved myself the $5.00 online "convenience" fee: $ 30.00 entry and a $20.00 food and beverage minimum. I went to the 5:30 show of the SUNY Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra. How must it feel to be a college student and perform on such an iconic stage, a place where legends have performed? Pretty heady stuff. They were fantastic. I did have dinner, a green side salad, and the Cajun Jambalaya. It was okay, nothing terribly exciting, but then I did not go for the food; I went for the history and the 🎶 music.

Man...I LOVE Smalls. Same with Mezzrow. Both places are real. Great jazz EVERY time I go there. Reasonable prices. Great crowd that really listens. I go there almost every time I visit NYC. My last visit was 9-11-2022 for Martin Wind's Counterpoint. Can't wait to get back there.

If you're looking for a lively and sophisticated night out in the city, then look no further than the jazz swing club with live music and nice interior. From the moment you step inside, you'll be transported to another era, where the cool sound of jazz reigns supreme and the atmosphere is electric.
The interior of the bar is chic and stylish, with a touch of retro charm that adds to the overall ambiance. Speaking of which, the performers are top-notch, and their repertoire spans a wide range of jazz styles, from classic swing to more contemporary takes on the genre.
In terms of drinks, the club has an impressive selection of cocktails, wines, beers, and food, all served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the drinks and entertainment on offer.
Overall, if you're a fan of jazz music and appreciate a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, then the jazz swing club with live music and nice interior is a must of visit.

Swanky! We enjoyed ourselves for sure. However, this place is for jazz fans! The food was good, the service was great and the talent was amazing. If your seated in the performance area, you need a flashlight to read the menu as the ambiance of this place is dark. There is a $30 musician fee added to your bill. They auto ad your tip, however they were very good to tell you they were adding it. I also noticed that other restaurants in NY also did this. It was an experience for sure. Not sure I would go back but if your into jazz, check it out.

Had such a nice time here on a Friday night! The club has 2 sets of live jazz every day of the week 5:30pm-8:30pm and 9pm-12am, except Mondays, and a nightly swing dancing class at 8:30pm taught by a professional instructor! Even if you have two left feet, you can come and enjoy the old timey New York vibes of this place and music alike. Everyone was dancing and people seemed so happy enjoying the singers and music! Be aware that there is an additional cover charge if you sit and dine in the main jazz room.

I especially love that they have a $50 pre-fixe dinner menu that includes 3 courses of food! I enjoyed the mussels and steak while sipping on the Swing46 cocktail. Be sure to also check out their $65 bottomless brunch menu that includes a brunch starter, entree, drinks and music charge!

Love the “new” Iridium! It’s a better space than the old venue.

I don’t know why the menu is getting grief from some people. For the NYC club scene, the prices are reasonable. We ordered and were quickly served. I had the Les Paul burger (of course), it’s a fresh huge burger not a frozen hockey puck, cooked to order a perfect medium, with a fresh brioche bun and toppings. Fries were hot and fresh as well. Not sure what some other reviews are about, or the expectations of the reviewers. What, you expect Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen, and Salt Bae as your waiter, for a $20 burger?

UPDATED REVIEW:

There are a number of questionable reviews for service, we went back and now they make sense.

We were among the first seated. Ordered, my partner got her meal and … nothing for me. We asked the person who brought the food and they said they’d check. Then we asked the server who took our order a half hour later, and they said the order was definitely in work. And finally asked again well into the performance. Finally got dinner but the entire point is to get there early and have a meal BEFORE a show. We were never asked if we wanted drink refills. And we weren’t alone, our seat mates didn’t get their order until after I got mine, which again is strange considering all the people who arrived after we did who were served and done.

It’s not fair to blame individuals, because most people go to work and do their best. But there’s a Swiss Cheese Theory of failure where multiple breakdowns have to occur. One of the problems in the modern era are that people think they’re experts on everything. I am in no way an expert on good service but a lifetime of dining at clubs like this indicate that there’s some sort of structural problem in their system, for multiple people to be involved and still result in failure for so many guests.

TL;DR: it’s a great venue for live music, but dine elsewhere and don’t plan on having any more than one round of drinks. It may even be better to just go to the bar and get your own. NYC has no shortage of great restaurants and bars, avail yourselves of those choices. We don’t plan on ever dining there again.

Just saw Terry Waldo's Gotham City Ragtime Band at Zinc Bar and it was a BLAST! These guys know how to put on a show. The chemistry between all the band members is electric. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the cocktails were.

Drom is a great venue. I think The place has super cute vibes it’s a small place which makes it better and cozy .I was honestly impressed by their food menu selection as a bar. They bring lots of great Turkish singer as well so I attended over 10 concerts here and had no issue. Tonight Cem Adrian performed and it was stunning. Stuff is pretty friendly as well. Overall My favorite concert place to have some Turkish night with friends ✨
Five star for the show. And one star for our seats. They really packed people in too tight. I suppose we should have arrived early for better seats. The sound quality was phenomenal.

This unassuming location has fantastic jazz music, an intimate outdoor seating, and some amazing cocktails. Drop by if you're in the area! :)

Update: Visited Zinc Bar again (sat indoors this time) and the vibe is amazing. We went on a Saturday night (the night when there is no live music) but it was still as amazing as the last time. Looking forward to being back soon!

Nice atmosphere, but the place has become more of a cocktail lounge than a jazz club. Still great music can be found there in the evenings.
Cover charges are usually $30.
Most cocktails are $19 and up. Ordering a beer or whisky is more affordable.
