I bought five cakes, that using “whipped cream” price range of around ¥600-800 each, and “whipped cream” was not an actual milk fat cream, but the mixture of cow milk heavy cream and plant oil cream.
Maybe 50/50, could be up to 70/30, With other additives.
It’s not super expensive, but not cheap enough to use fake mixed cream.
The design and taste were very good, not too sweet and flavorful.
But the whipped cream was not okay.
Nice pasta and galette restaurant located on the north side of Ebisu.

We had a really great time here… The people are super super nice particularly the very friendly waiter Justice who was really accommodating and with whom we had very nice discussions!
Would definitely recommend it. Try it particularly for lunch!

夜に数名で飲み放題付きのコース料理で利用しました。
場所は原宿竹下通りを少し奥に入ったところ、2階建ての一軒家の洋館のようなアンティークなお店でした。大きな部屋の個室を贅沢に使わせていただきました。

This is the favorite meal of our trip.
The restaurant setting is elegant, with breathtaking views. Staff was very attentive, food expertly prepared and presented with great care. It reminded us of our dining experience at a Paris Michelin star restaurant.

Absolutely incredible meal!

I rarely leave a review for places, but this was far and away one of the best meals we’ve had and certainly the best of the many Michelin starred restaurants we’ve tried in Tokyo.

Each dish was balanced, exciting, and exceptionally thoughtful. Textures were amazing - the savory macaroon amuse-bouche! - and the flavors were deep and perfect. The veal Orloff was impeccable and the salad with spring Japanese vegetables was wonderful and refreshing.

The chef had very apparent French technique and training but had brought a distinctly Japanese flare to it that it made it lighter and more capable of coaxing out the often subtle flavors of ingredients that often get overshadowed by butter and cream like sea bream, loquat, and fiddleheads.

The staff was earnest and attentive - English wasn’t easy but that’s not their fault, we’re the tourists! Still, the waitress ran for her phone to help explain ingredients and talk us through each course. Nothing was lost and it was still a fun and sweet experience. When we left, the chef greeted us and the other guests at the door… it was a night full of incredible sweet interactions and fantastic foods. Thank you monolith!

友人の誕生日祝いで予約させていただきました。自分のせいで遅刻してしまい、店員さんにご迷惑かけてしまったのですが、それに構わずご親切に案内してくれたり、丁寧にサービスをご提供いただきました!
料理は言うほどもなくとっっても美味しかったです。特に🌸味のデザートは案外美味しかったです。自分はさくら味がいつも変な味ばかりのを食べてきましたので、あまり期待しなかったのですが、桜の味こんなにも甘酸っぱく、甘過ぎず味ができるなんてびっくりしました!笑

初めて行きましたが、女性客しか居らず女性に人気なのが一目瞭然!丁度混んでる時間帯だった様で、食事の提供に、時間かかりましたが、美味しかったです!ワインも。

A cute little artsy cafe with a great variety of lunch sets. Well behaved dogs are welcome at your feet. The fish with anchovy sauce was delicious and came with soup, bread & a juice.

Superb service, elegant dining and rich ambiance in a beautiful castle-esque restaurant with a set course meal and calming view of the courtyard. Although it’s located off the main highway, you wouldn’t even know the highway existed when you’re inside the venue — you feel as though you’ve been transported to another country seldomly the Japanese service. Each food item was tastefully decorated both aesthetically and flavorfully prepared — artwork to both the eyes and palate. Reservations are a must and of course, the lunch course is more affordable.

白トリュフをテーブルに置いてしっかり説明を始めたので、こちらの会話も食事も止めて聞かなければならず、
「おひとり様ずつの別料金になりますがいかがなさいますか」と
その別料金がいくらなのかは言わずに薦めるのは良くありません。
いくら高級フレンチへ行くゲストとは言え、お金に糸目をつけない人は、世の中そんなに多くありません。
テーブルにいくら追加なのか分からないトリュフをドンと置かれてしまったらカップルの場合男性は断りにくいし、友人同士や家族でも「誰か1人だけ追加してみる?」と相談も出来ません。
メニューに「白トリュフ 1人につき各約10,000円別料金追加」と最初から明記しておくべきだと思います。
有形文化財の建物で素敵な雰囲気です。元は有名なレストランでしたが、名前が変更してクリスマスランチで心配しながら伺いましたが、料理は問題なく普通に美味しいクラッシックなフレンチでした。メインの和牛がかなりレアでしたが柔らかくて美味しかったです。接客が広い割に人が少ないのか、後半はドリンクがなくなっても来てくれませんでした。

品があって美味しいし、
メニュー名を読むだけで
テンションが上がりますね

コースの中では特に真鯛と香住蟹とイクラの
お魚料理がとくに好きでした
ボルドーワイン
(サンテステフ・ド・カロン・セギュール)
も甘さ控えめでスッキリ飲みやすく
何回か出てきたフォアグラがコッテリしていたので
ちょうど良かったです

フレンチは時々行って
徐々に学んでいけたらと思っています

あと行く前にドレスコードあるのかな?と調べても何も出てこないので少し迷いましたが
キレイめカジュアルで良かったです
気軽に行けると思います
他のお客さんも男は無難に黒系で統一している人が多く、
女性もドレスまで着ている方はいなかったです
会話もそれぞれ盛り上がっていて
お店の中は賑やかでした

フレンチの美味しそうなお店を探していると
食べログBRONZE、フレンチ百名店である
こちら「ラ・ブランシュ」さんが
ヒットしたためお邪魔しました!

フランスで研鑽を積み、
35年近くこちらのお店を
守られている東京フレンチの
巨匠のお店と言うことで
期待値爆上がりです!
3週間前に電話予約すると
意外にあっさりお席を確保できました!

表参道駅と渋谷駅の中間くらいの立地
クラシカルな建物の外階段を上がった2階に
お店はあります。

内観はかしこまり過ぎず、
しかしカジュアル過ぎない落ち着いた雰囲気。

メニューはお昼は6800、10000円とあり
ディナー用の14000円もオーダー可能。

10000円コースはスペシャリテを盛り込んだ
メニューがいただけるとのことで
折角なのでそちらをオーダー

他の常連のお客さんもみんなそちらを
頼まれていたのでやはり定番なようです。

ドリンクはお昼ということで白ワインをグラスで
一杯だけいただきましたが
グラスに結構な量を入れて下さいます(笑)
多分200mlくらいかな?

豚肉のリエット
まず口取りとして出されたこちら!
パンにバターを塗るような感覚で
食べてほしいとのことでこれから提供されるパンとも
合わせていただきましたが
塩味と脂肪分がちょうどよく、
これだけでお酒が飲めてしまう味わいでした!

玉ねぎのシャーベット
りんごやきゅうりのジュレ

アミューズ二皿目のこちら!
シャーベットは玉ねぎの辛さは全く無く
甘さと風味が立っています。
ジュレはりんごときゅうりの食感がよく
清涼感のある爽やかな酸味でワインとの
相性がよかったです。

自家製でアツアツを提供!
手で割るとアーモンドの香りが立つ一品です。

サワラの炙り
中に火が入りすぎない絶妙な火入れのサワラに
生サワラのタルタル
ビーツのソース
パブリカのソースの3種の付け合せの他
皮の薄いみかんの炙りが添えられていました!
サワラは皮はパリっと身はしっとりした火入で
旨味がよくわかり、それぞれのソースと
合わせるとまた違った味わい。
パプリカはややスパイシーで
意外性がありました!

モンサンミッシェル産ムール貝の白ワイン蒸し
到着した瞬間ふんわりと
ムール貝の魚介の香りが広がる一品!
貝ももちろんのことお皿の底に溜まったスープには
旨味がギュッと凝縮されており
パンに浸して食べればワインが
どんどんなくなっていく味わい!

鰯とじゃがいもののテリーヌ
こちらのスペシャリテであるテリーヌ!
じゃがいものにイワシの風味が溶け込み
トリュフの香りがふんわりと香る一品で
上に乗せられたアンチョビのバターが
表面に溶けることでとても濃厚かつ
お酒に合う味わいです!

カリフラワーのムース
シャドークイーンのチップス

釣りヒラメのポワレ
茄子のスープ
ドライトマトと春菊 大根
ドライトマトの強い酸味、春菊の苦味、
大根、茄子のスープの塩味のバランスがよく
パリッパリにポワレされたヒラメは

4種類ほどある選択肢からチョイスしたのは
赤いお皿に黒いパイが映えるこちら!
お店で一番リピート率が高いとのことです。
ナイフを入れるとパリッという快音とともに
濃縮されたぶどうの甘い香りがブワッと広がり
思わず声を上げそうになる
インパクトのある一品!
具材の鴨はトロトロに煮込まれており
野菜やワインの甘味と旨味とが合わさり
濃厚かつ重厚感のあるな味わい!
これは赤ワインが一気に欲しくなる一品です!

ベルギー産チョコレートのアイスとムース
デザートは4種類の中からこちらをオーダー
ベルギーチョコレート特有の
フルーティなアロマや
上品な甘さと苦味がクセになる味わいです!

コーヒーのお供に出された3点盛り!
クリームブリュレからは微かにポルチーニの
キノコの風味が香り、
グラニデはハッカの引き締まった酸味と苦味が
口の中をさっぱりとさせてくれました!

今回一人で伺いましたが
ちょこちょこスタッフさんが話しかけてくださり、
退屈せずとてもホスピタリティの良さが
感じれました!

最後にはシェフも厨房から出てきてくださり
至りにつくせりで退店。

ちょっとしたご褒美の日や大切な人と
特別な時間を過ごすのにうってつけの
お店ですね!

It says a lot about the level of care and attention to detail in these meals when I ended up loving a lot of dishes I normaly dislike, lile foi grasse and scallops. On top of this the staff was incredibly friendly and helped accomodate my schedule as I was in somewhat of a rush.

友人の誕生日お祝いに利用しました。
お店自体は隠れ家のようで、席数も少なく、ちょっと緊張しました。

どの口コミを見ても評価が高いので期待値も高かったのですが、どのお料理もその期待を裏切らないものでした!
特にエスカルゴは絶品。あんまり元々好きじゃないのですがこちらのエスカルゴには感動しました。

平日のランチはコスパもかなり良かったです。この量と質で6000円ならしょっちゅう行きたい!

An absolutely amazing meal, and this is a case of French cuisine done right whilst using the best ingredients that Japan has to offer. Cozy interior decor makes for a wonderful experience to go alongside the food and service. The price point for the lunch menu is an absolute steal considering what was served during the course of the meal. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Tokyo. Location is slightly out of the way (in between Shibuya and Omotesando) but it is worth the trek.

木曜日の19:00に伺いました。

私達も含め4組で、きちんと間隔をあけてくださっていました(当たり前の様に思われますが、つめて座らせようとするフレンチレストランもあるのです)。14,000円のコースをいただきましたが、お料理もすべてとてもおいしく、多くの方々が賞賛するのも納得です。サービスもしっかりしており、とても心地よい時間でした。
シェフの方も2度も見に来てくださりました。

近い内にまた訪れたいお店です。ご馳走様でした。

Celebrated my birthday at Monolith. The service from wait staff was spectacular. They spent time and effort to ensure every part of the meal was well explained and taken care of. I didnt realised I dropped my earrings, the wait staff chased me for 3 streets to return my earrings to me. Definitely an experience like never before. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.

何度か行かせて頂いてます。

サービスは良い意味でフレンドリーなので好き嫌いは分かれるかもしれませんが、常連、新規の区別がなく見えて私は好感がもてます。
お料理はスペシャリテの鰯とじゃがいものテリーヌに始まり色々ありますが、甘さを使うのが上手いシェフだと思います。
お料理にジャムを合わせたり。
少しビックリするお料理もありますが、いつもしっくり来て美味しいです。
ただ1つ、寒い日にキンキンに冷えたお皿で前菜が出てきたり…そんなこともありますが、その辺りはサービスを回すための事でしょう。メイン料理を食べる頃には忘れてしまいます。
また伺いたいお店です。

I had the opportunity to visit "Recte" for my last lunch in Tokyo before leaving Japan. Bittersweet, for I was both saddened that my stay in Japan had come to and end but the sweet lay in the fact that the lunch was a glorious ending. Chef Sasaki is responsible for the delightful "Menu de Saison", inspired by the gastronomy of the South of France (where he spent close to a decade training in Nice, Provence, Arles etc...). He is meticulous and talented, but above all, shares a genuine understanding and passion of food. His flavors are symbiotic, and he imparts within each dish creativity and, most importantly, deliciousness (not sure that's a word). Take "Aji", the horse mackerel. Popular in Japan and South Korea, it is an inherently cultural ingredient. Yet Chef Sasaki pairs it with a "ratatouille". Yes, skepticism can be an initial reaction. But when you take a bite, the slight acidity of the bell peppers and tomatoes within the ratatouille is a beautiful partner to the briny, natural flavor of the mackerel. When you walk up the stairs leading up to this restaurant, you are hungry. When you walk down the stairs from this restaurant, you'll be quite full, but you'll still be thinking about food.

a fab meal with wild meat. i don't wanna mention too much like eating deers, roar, and so on i know some people don't like it much. but if you keen to try it, here's the place. nice decorations and presentation on the plates. the ingredients are marinated so they weren't anything raw nor bloody. overall very good dinning experience. it's located at the basement so just a tiny stairs going down from the building entrance.

It’s a special yet fruitful dinning experience, full of surprise. French cuisine make use of different wild ingredients, including venison, bear meat, and more. All dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. If you are open up to try and taste innovative dishes, you have to visit Lature in Tokyo!

Italian theme but they are known for galette/crêpe bretonne which is an odd but tasty mix. They use a lot of seasonal ingredients such as strawberries in their salads and savoury mains.

A challenging review to write, due to the fact I was dining during Christmas, so prices were at least double that of the typical special menu. There were premium ingredients like lobster, black and white truffle, and caviar in addition to their game meat, to be fair.

Food was nice, and the stand out dish by far was the baked lobster pie. The game meat was a great experience, including bear, boar, badger and deer. The meat was pleasant to eat and the boar steak was particlarly nice.

Service was a bit ordinary for a michelin star restaurant but the waiters were able to explain all the dishes in English. As the restaurant was located in the basement, the atmosphere was private, but not memorable.

Whilst the website was clear on the course price, it would have been better to note the service charge to avoid a bit of bill shock at the end of the evening. Although this is reasonably common.

French cooking style wild meal, the taste is also very special. As a citizen of my own country, tasting venison and bear meat is not so easy. Although the ingredients sound wild, the taste is not sloppy at all, and even subverts the imagination of the ingredients. The most impressive is the deer blood macaron that arrived first. There is no odd smell at all, and it is very special and tasted. But for the famous aspic pie, I don't like it that much. Although it combines the meat of various exotic animals, I can't taste any special taste. The meat of the pie on that day was also dry and lacks juicy favor. This is the only thing that I think fails of a dish. Because of my birthday at that day, the music box prepared by the store is ingenious.

All dishes are very well done, including dessert.
Chef is specializing in game meat, and the 4 types game meat pie is really good, very refined and doesn't feel the unpleasant strong wild meat flavor.
Main dish we go for Ezojika(蝦夷鹿) tenderloin from Hokkaido. Seems hunter is a good friend of chef so he gets the best quality of meat. The doneness is perfect and the thick red wine sauce added the finishing touch. A great dinner!

Happily surprised with this restaurant—just happen to pass by and both the exterior and interior design are quite artsy and eye catching. Food was ok and cake was delicious. They have so many different types of hand sanitizers!!!

The service was excellent. Wish there were more options to choose from for those who don’t eat sea food. Need to have English speaking staff. Communication was almost impossible.
They didn’t let us get in. They told us it was full because of the reservations, but there were a lot of tables unoccupied. If they don’t admit children, they can say it, no need to lie

One of the most detailed sensitive French I’ve had. You walk for a couple of minutes from Ebisu station and is on the second floor of a small building. Can’t believe a restaurant like this exists in the neighborhood. Every dish was super detail oriented and you can tell the chef really thought through the texture and taste. Highly recommend to try it once. You should know basic Japanese since the waiter only speaks Japanese I believe.

Had lunch here for my wife’s birthday. The service and food was amazing. They also adjusted the menu for me as I have gluten allergy. At the end of our lunch, we received a private tour of the beautiful building.

I want to thank the staff for their hospitality and for giving us a great time. We will definitely come back in the near future.

One of my favorite French restaurants. Each dish is thought out and there aren’t a lot of tables there so feels intimate.

Delicious. Cant speak to the quality of the ingredients as i dont know, but the flavoring is totally on point. Not too strong just right. Some things Ive never seen done. Recommend even just for the food. Perfect and friendly service. Low key french music playing quietly in the background. Pretty full but nice and quiet.

I wanted to give 5 stars for the nice hazelnut latte and tiramisu, and the nice vintage cozy atmosphere. But I have to take one star away because of the cigarette smell. If you can't stand smoke, do not come to this place. It would be perfect if they could provide non smoking area.
Very good course, with an assortment of delicious foods. The cheese fondue was especially tasty! 😋 The service was prompt and polite, one waitress was regularly checking on us while we were on a nomihoudai course, and that sufficiently rare to be noticed 👍
They have confortable rooms in the basement for group parties.

I’ve had two desserts from here and both were nothing short of spectacular. The chocolate ‘Domination’ and a apricot cream cheese dessert with a maple cookie on top. If I were served these in a Michelin star restaurant, I’d be very happy. Prices are almost too reasonable - they could easily charge 50% more considering the quality + taste + freshness of their desserts. Glad I went inside and can’t wait to try them for a 3rd time soon.

The Loger Cafe is a truly unique place. Don't expect your average cafe shop here. It is not Starbuck nor Tully's nor anything else. It's a place you should enjoy reading a good Oscar Wilde or Hemingway. In fact i could picture both authors writing in this kind of cafe. The atmosphere is really cozy with comfortable seats, dim lights, and a spacious feel. The background music is always on point (prepare your shazam). A perfect spot for a moment with your other half. Yes the only bad point for some is that you can smoke. But it's a place for lovers and tormented soul anyway. A really hidden gym near Ebisu station. The coffee is good. They also serve delicious food and drinks. I can only recommend you to visit this cafe is you are around, looking for a place to relax or spend some time with a date. 5 stars for me. And before i forget, the staff is truly friendly as well.

Stopped for coffee and desserts, great atmosphere, ok staff and the coffee and tiramisu were amazing. Not a fan of how much dust there was in there though, curtains were heavily stained.

You may expect the first part of a restaurant review to be about the food, but with Coucagno (although the food is exquisite) it's the service that really puts it head and shoulders above the other restaurants in the area. Upon our arrival at the restaurant on the 40th floor of the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel, the maître d′ (I assume) led us to our table--located directly beside one of the many plate glass windows offering sweeping, breathtaking views of Shibuya--and pointed out city landmarks and other highlights visible from our chairs (she indicated the direction in which we might see Mt. Fuji and pointed out that the moon, which was directly in our view, was an unusually deep shade of orange). Our waiter (and all other waitstaff) was fantastic, polite, kind, and extremely professional. Before every course, our waiter explained every item placed in front of us and asked if we had any questions. The service we received was of the highest tier.

I admit I'm not an expert when it comes to French cuisine so I'm disappointed not to be able to offer a course-by-course breakdown of our meal. What I do remember is that for our respective entrees, I ordered the pigeon and my fiancée ordered the guinea fowl. Both dishes were thoughtfully and beautifully prepared, subtle and nuanced, but also clearly delicious.

We could not have been happier with our decision to dine at Coucagno.

It was a wet afternoon, and I was in seek of a dry place for an afternoon tea. When I saw the 'elegant leafy passage way' I thought it was a good sign. The service is impeccable. The afternoon set is 'good value' compared to the pricing they usually charge. It wasn't packed when we went so we had most of the space to ourselves and were able to have a good yarn.

I went in for some lunch. The food was excellent but the wisps of cigarette smoke drifting about the entire place was not... #smokersheaven Non-smokers beware.

One of the best French restaurant in Japan. The chief had been trained in France fir 9 years. All the dishes are delicious. The waiter can speak simple English.

Superb. My wife and I had a most wonderful lunch from the fixed set. She had the fish and I the meat (pork). Great sauces and impeccable service. A lovely venue. Will return in the near future.

I have mixed thoughts: most dishes featured delightful flavors while I wasn’t a fan of my second appetizer. My main was heavily salted as well. Service is friendly and casual and the other diners don't mind getting chatty. Quite different from some of the most refined fine dining experiences but would be fitting for more relaxed occasions. Quite popular among locals.

This is a hidden gem in Tokyo. I come here every time I visit. Their wine list is spectacular, and I have no words for their food. Everything tastes great every single time, and their menu is well-priced as well. The people who work here are sincere and they genuinely want you to enjoy your meal.
