I went camping for my first time and I had a great time.

A must see if visit new york

Went to tjs always great food and atmosphere great prices also

You know how nature is any and every Park is a blessing from God and this park in particular is exceptional and clean, litter free. Wish I had some pictures to share but I did not take any on this particular trip but there will be more to come in the future

beautiful flowers and animals. the things we spotted were: a plant covered in ladybugs, dragonflies, two bird nests, butterflies, lots of birds, and the rarest animal we found: a pheasant!! we just decided to turn onto another path and found it! on the trail, there will be a small path that leads to a fallen tree. maybe you can find a pheasant here too!!

Good to visit any time of the year. Nice short trails that you can combine with Gerritsen beach trails for 2-3 hours hike.

Posto incantevole per ammirare lo Skyline di NY soprattutto al tramonto sino all'imbrunire.
Consiglio poi di rientrare a Manhattan in battello (4$)

Nice trails, but they do flood. If you see puddles, be prepared that they will be much deeper than they look.

This is a great flat, about a mile trail. My senior dog and baby can do it just fine. It has a gravel path so either baby carry or use a jogger - not regular stroller.
Mosquitos ABOUND once it's warm out, there are also ticks. Dress accordingly. It's also a marsh, so no trees for shade once it's hot out, it's all direct sun. Spring and fall are best times for a visit.
The tall grass is really cool when it sways in the wind, and lots of seasonal waterfowl visit the marsh.

This place is very beautiful to enjoy with the family, go for a run and walk, it is very clean, what a beautiful

They say we ought not loiter in the park after dark, but they who dare to say this ought not take for granted the boldness of those who scale boulders. That said, I twisted my ankle but it was not for naught, as I was also blessed with some fine findings on this night. See here:
The trope of the eleven o'clock jogger struck true thrice this evening, though at that point I had to leave to attend to my SnoCone, having dropped it off a rocky ledge. What possesses a human to jog, and why we should draw lines between the joggers and the runners and the very fast and very desperate subway hunters, all of whom pursue their passions with ferocity and velocity and deign to define their roles without falling in line, except in the cases where marathons and 5Ks run rampant, this author will never know. The word itself was spawn, after all, of a town in Greece where a battle was fought and because that battle was fought a man had to rush across a city to tell other men a very important message, and so important was the message that so fast he had to run that he lost all his clothes in the process and by the time he arrived in Athens he announced that they had won and promptly dropped dead. So the lesson is, of course, that if a marathon is named after the origin of the race then it ought to go in a circle and the rest of the situation isn't of much importance and certainly not of such importance that one would run a marathon at all.
Supposedly there are a thousand bats in Prospect Park. Perhaps they are the They who say we ought not loiter in the park after dark, but if so They're uncommonly silent for the type to be those Theys who warn en masse, precluding the following talkative fellow who seemed all too ready to parse philosophy over his midnight coffee:
We were born knowing these things, weren't we?
Up and down and right and wrong and unreal -
It doesn't take too long to seek them, friend.
No matter how long they've been lost, to feel
That moment of finding them again makes
Ev'ry rock and stone on the path over
Worth tripping on a hundred times again.
Would you like to look behind your shoulder?
If I told the truth, I suppose I do,
But thankfully reality's all too true.

In a word, the Grand Canyon of New York City. This sumptuous ledge perches on the edge of a purgatory of fall foliage, a veritable comme sonne comme sonne du san if one can catch it in the right moment. Locals will celebrate the changing modes of growth, from the tall to the short, and those unfamiliar with the flippant character of the city will never recover. The Ravine stands, as it were, on cusp of modernity and on the tail of Gothic amnesia.
I saw several humans enjoying the sun in the hours I was out, exhibiting the following behaviors that seemed central to their interactions with the Ravine (in order):
- looking up, often with a single hand shielding the top of the gaze as a salute to the powers that be.
- looking down, without any modifications to the hands or other limbs.
- looking side to side.
- looking in various other directions.
- peering at leafy things.
- ignoring rocky things unless those rocky things were particularly large or pointy or arranged in a rare shape.
- pointing at animals.
- exclaiming at birds, especially those birds who were particularly precious with their time in the Ravine and moved quickly onto their next locations.
- pointing at plants, especially those that the human purported to be able to name. Rampant among men wearing shorts and sunglasses, modal among these men who were in loveless relationships, moderate to rare among other demographics.
- walking very fast so as to avoid interacting with the space at all, in some ritual which the author has concluded could only be a sign of perceived witchcraft.
Without spoiling the rigor of the moment, I recommend heeding the words of a local chipmunk, as accounted here:
What is a ravine if not a warning?
To fly forward or to stand watching all
The world wax and wane, that remains to see -
Or perhaps only to witness the fall.
If pride could come to claim its peace, only
Three questions would remain: what we should do,
Who we should be, and why it matters in
Any case? So maybe it's cleaner to
Hold onto dignity long as you can
And find your footing wherever you stand.

Çok güzel bir yürüyüş rotası. Erken saatlerde hava kötüyken giderseniz kimsecikler olmuyor. Huzur verici bir yer

I love PP. Being a Brooklynite when ever out of towners visit they want to visit CP in Manhattan. I take them to both, but it's the intimacy of Prospect Park they love. We are early morning trekkers so it's really nice. I love you PP you show a side of Brooklyn that is our true essence.

IT'S A BRIDGE

Good spot for a quick getaway, if you want to enjoy peace and quiet. Nice spot for taking pictures or relaxing after a crazy day in a concrete jungles.

I haventn't been on this path in a few yrs so I can't give a good word about it except for today. I didn't have a problem with anything 2 days ago when I was on the path. But anyone that knows About wetlands can tell that if you visit this area from mid spring to fall better be equipped with insect repellent or fully dressed or both! As far as store's or restrooms on my path from 878 threw Rockaway to this location. Your last chance for a store will be around 116th st. and restroom will be Rissi Beach. Or you can stay on Flatbush towards Kings plaza mall.

Beautiful park but many creeps

Overgrown area with an incredible amount of mosquitoes. Seriously I've never seen more mosquitoes in one location until I visited this place.
If you want to go, go in the early spring when the vegetation, heat, and mosquitoes aren't so bad.

Very cool place. Plenty of parking across the street from the trail/park. It’s free to park which is great. We got there pretty early on a Saturday but by the time we left the parking lot was packed. There’s a few different trails. It was really nice. Clean and well maintained. We took our dog. He had a great time watching the birds. We also saw little crabs and walked along the water bank. There’s also a spot to take small boats right out onto the water. Definitely a fun place for the whole family.

This spot is such a gem, so peaceful and quiet.
Felt like I was somewhere and I was literally right in Brooklyn.
A well needed hike!

Southeast entrance area of Prospect Park.

Pretty

It is a great place for meditation with the waterfall. I recommend going in the morning when park opens at 6am. Later in the day people are site seeing or working out, and others are cruising for a date.

A great spot to get lost. Wind rustles the tall grasses, birds fish along the water's edge, and it's bigger than I expected. The trails along the east side attract more people. The paths are wide & smooth offering wider views of the grasses. The west side of the park is quieter and more wild. The paths aren't as well maintained and sections get narrow. Big spray highly recommended in this part.

Peaceful and relaxing park and trail. They have an information centre ) which was closed because of safety purpose during virus outbreak), a lot of bunches under the trees - that is really nice in hot and sunny summer days.
If you come to opposite side of lake you can reach the beach (not good for swimming reason if any) but just to stay close to the water - you can see a lot of holes where crabs are hiding. But trails along this side of lake (west) are not good for walking - its can be really mugy.
I hope to see a lot of birds but I saw couple of ducks far away and one crane.
If you have a choice to choose between this place and Jamaica Bay Wildlife refuge for example, Jamaica will be much more better choice. But if you you live close it's very nice place to go outside and get refreshing. Very convenient to get there by B3 bus.

Beautiful! There an actual dog beach here my puppies love this place! Great place for pups to cool off

Relaxing spot located in one of the deepest sections of Prospect Park, great if you need a slight break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Just another spot in this beautiful park that helps you forget you're in the city for a while.
