As you make your way up to the observatory, you learn the history and how this magnificent staple of the NYC skyline was created. You even get to hang out with King Kong! The views are unbeatable and romantic! Fans of the movie “Elf”will really enjoy the entrance when you are ready to leave the tour. Staff was so very friendly and helpful, and everything is streamlined seamlessly. Take in all the details from the elevator doors to the photo ops and you’ll have a great time here.
Beautiful scenery! I loved the little exhibit displayed before going up higher. It was nice to go outside and see the city from that view. However, if you wanted to go up to the very top, there was an additional pay that we weren't warned about. We bought our tickets in advance and thought it was for everything but I guess not. Still a good place to go besides that.
Went after dark, and glad we did. Seeing NYC @ Christmas time from high up was incredible! While the observation deck was awesome, spend a little more and go all the way up! So worth the little extra. Don't worry about the lines, they move fast. The staff is friendly, helpful, and wrangle you up and down efficiently!
Really great. We arrived late for our allocated time and it was no trouble to book us onto the next slot. It was a fun and interesting to learn the history of the building. You had opportunities to take photos on the way up. Amazing views of the city (at night for us) and the cornerstone to the architecture of New York.
It's still one of the places to be in NYC.
What an experience to visit this iconic building in Midtown Manhattan.
Prices are very high ( 100 USD for 2 adults), but it is a MUST to go there.
We were there at opening 10am , so even without reservations, it was a very short waiting time.
Definitely a MUST if you are there and the weather is nice.

The observation tower on floor 80 and 86 was definitely worth the money. The views were absolutely incredible. It’s amazing to see the city in a view like no other. Highly recommend going if you haven’t, and trying to go during the sunset hours.
Amazing Building. It feels unreal staring at this concrete giant Building with so many Floors. The Queue To get Inside the Empire State Building may be Long but it is worth it. There are so many Historical Mini Museums in the Building which can make your Knowledge about the Building way better. Not only that but the View from the Top is fascinating! You can take great pictures but it is also crowded.

Last Thursday was my 1st time down at Hudson Yards and seeing The Vessel. I live way uptown and haven't been traveling that far for a long time for many reasons. My mouth fell open when I saw it. At night the building was lit in a way that was just stunning! I'm not sure if you can enter during the day anymore.
This is definitely a go-to place if you are visiting NY! It's an extraordinary architecture. I loved being there. The atmosphere was wonderful. There was music, people enjoying their afternoon. A wonderful sight in this busy city.
One unique building that tourists and locals should come visit. The downside though is that, no one is allowed to go upstairs due to suicides that happened in the past. Great background to your photo ops!
This little gem has great views, be sure not to miss it. Nice walk around park too.
It was definitely an awesome experience to be going up in a few seconds to the 100th floor to see NYC skyscrapers. We reserved the time slot to see the sunset and city lights. There were a lot of tourists from all over the world for this attraction. The views are amazing!! It’s understandable that there was a long line to take the elevator downstairs. I totally recommend to go at least one time when you are visiting NYC!!
Amazing view. I will recommend it highly. It feels much better than the other skyscrapers such as Empire State or Sears tower. Best time to visit is during sunset. Make sure you buy tickets online in advance. Onspot price is 25% higher.
Visited the Empire State building. It was a great experience. The views were great, and the building was a lovely building. Definitely recommend buying ahead tickets. The outside view is very big and wraps around building, so you have 360-degree views. Would recommend as a one time visit. Just did 86th floor but was good enough.
Love it here. In a departure from an old movie, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan's "Sleepless in Seattle" ended up together here. The top of the Empire State Building, it's just like in the movie, and I noticed the elevator doors, they're all the same. It's amazing. Love it here, it was a snowy night when we arrived, it was very cold, but it didn't matter. We also took a composite photo on it with the Empire State Building. It was fun. It's corny and funny, but happy. The staff is friendly and efficient.
Ok, the place is unique, built on petals, on piers. Pretty. But that's about it. There's nothing to see, nothing to do. Too hot and sunny, not much shade. And then too crowded. The water view is nice but a bit boring.

One is the best observatory in New york City. We had a great time and went in at perfect time to see morning view and sunset/ night view. We can see a full 360 view of the city. In door as well as out door views. Great flowered spot for amazing photos.

This is absolutely worth a visit. Great view over the New york/new jersey area. They also have a bar at the top, so if you're in the mood for a drink this is a good place to get it. Been to the top of the rock, and Empire State Building. But I have to say that I like this better. So definitely worth a visit if you're close by.
after 4 weeks in NYC we finally gathered the courage to climb up to the 70th floor at Top of the rock. i was nervous beforehand but the elevator felt very safe and quickly we were there! The views are really amazing, especially the view to the Empire State building. the air was very humid though, so there wasn't a very clear sight. It's a bit hard to make nice photos where fences or walls are out of the frame. try the highest level at the 70th floor open air balcony for best results. the whole visit was about 40 minutes. beside the view itself there are no additional attractions up there.. and the waiting queue to get down was about 15 minutes (around 3 pm on wednesday).

My best friend and I did the sunrise experience - while we balked at the steep price tag, we quickly discovered it was well worth it. You really feel like VIP as you enter the world-famous Empire State Building at 5am. The staff are friendly, relaxed, and helpful. My coffee and croissant were just the right morning snack while we roamed the rooftop balcony, looking out at the waking city below for a solid 2 hours. I can’t wait to do this again.
Little Island is a new public park, located in Hudson River Park, where all New Yorkers and visitors can experience nature and art in a unique urban oasis on the Hudson River.

The view is amazing. You can see almost all the famous structures without any obstacles. They have 2 floors + seating area from where you can see the skyline.
Downside is the unorganized management. They mentioned to be on time and we booked for 8pm slot (considering sunset at 8.30pm). We reached there (at the entry on 4th floor) and there was a long queue waiting to get in the elevator. There was chaos and people with 7pm appointment were coming late. If they mention about being on time, they must enforce it to the visitors.
They do charge extra for sunset time and when we reached on the top, it was already dark. People with 6-7pm slots were also staying late for sunset.
If you plan to visit over the weekend or long weekend, plan for long queues for going up and coming down as they have only 2 elevators.

Long time ago without visiting this king of places. We did again because family visiting and it was great.

Very nice walk through the heart of New York.
Amazing experience. The panoramic views are spectacular! 1100 feet above NYC. 50 feet higher than the Empire State Building. Very smooth and fast elevator experience with a time lapse video. The sky deck Outdoor area is beautiful and not at all crowded. Full bar service is available with cocktails priced at a very greedy $20. Nice shaded tiered sitting area with plenty of seating to enjoy the southern view. The staff throughout this experience were absolutely amazing! Very cordial, polite and informative. Great attitudes. Time slot tickets (1 hour window) are $38 for adults & $33 kids ages 6-12. Other ticket options available. Definitely worth doing.
Beautiful views and overall experience! It's probably one of the best rooftop views of the city! The experience from when you enter the event, including the elevator ride to the observation deck is fantastic! I went during the day, which was great, but a visit in the evening would be way better!

Top of the rock gives you an amazing view, not only for the empire state building, but also on the central park! It was my most favourite view spot, out of the 3 or 4 that they have in NYC. In the evening it gets pretty crowded, and if youre not a tall person, you may not see a lot, so rather go during the day. But as a 1.80m human, definitely worth it to see NYC with all the lights on.
Even though the attraction is currently closed me and my Son certainly still enjoyed our visit.
The Hudson Yards certainly is unique and so diverse, the Vessel certainly stood out for me.
Maybe next time, I’ll get to see her close up and see the views of the river she has to offer.

Fantastic experience. Absolutely worth the money. Probably the only observation deck which has 360 degree view of the NYC including Central Park, Empire State, Statue of Liberty, and World One. Visited the place at 7:00pm when sunny, stayed till the night and saw all three views from the top (Sunny, Sunset, and Night). And all three have a charm of its own.
Very beautiful views. Plenty of stalls as you walk up offering food/drinks/hats etc. perfect view when you hit the centre.
Looks interesting, but unfortunately they had the upper levels closed and you could only go into the base. They have free concerts in the summer in the plaza by the vessel and there is some nice shaded seating around the perimeter too. Close to the highline and shopping and restaurants in the Hudson Yards and Edge observation deck.
The Vessel is indeed worth the visit! I recommend you to walk the high line from the start nearest to Little Island and make your way to the Vessel, it's seems somewhat rewarding when u make it there! In terms of transportation, the Hudson Yards Station is a stone throw away so no worries there. Additionally, when I visited in July 2023 persons were not allowed to make their way up.

Iconic of course and a must visit for the first time tourist. However, be warned there are long queues and it gets pretty crowded so it's tough to get a good view especially during the golden hour. Not worth using the picture package. Just soak in the view at night time. The building itself is very art deco and impressive. The staff is very nice.

Awesome view from here of the Hudson River and the skyline.
Superb view of 10th avenue. There is a great mural to see from this vantage point. Lovely place to sit and watch the city for a bit. Seats are in full sun, but there is shade nearby. Note the old rail line along the High Line while you meander.
Definitely a great and free NYC experience. Lots of great photo-worthy shots. Surprisingly, vendors offering inexpensive souvenirs. Busy. Great views. Allow 60-90 min minimum to walk half way and back.
Really stunning views of the city. My husband and I walked part of it after dinner one night on our recent vacation to NYC. We walked from the NYC side to maybe about halfway across, then came back. The views were just beautiful! Lots of places to grab photos with a beautiful backdrop. It looks like there are little vendor booths or something during the daytime, but everyone was packing up or had already left by the time we got there, which was fine by us. We were curious if it would be very safe, especially if it was night time and potentially deserted, but it was still very populated even at around 10pm, so it didn't feel very sketchy. Although I will say, the path from the restaurant to the bridge was a little less comfortable feeling at certain points. Still, I'd recommend walking at least part of this path during your trip, if you're able! The view of the city lights on the water was a beautiful sight to see! And of course it's a public bridge, so walking across it is free. Definitely add it to your itinerary if there's room!

Honestly this is as good as it gets when it comes to seeing New York from above, I am not even exaggerating! The views are simply stunning as the deck is located right in the middle of midtown with direct views towards Central Park, Empire State Building and the whole Manhattan island, not too high to feel detached from the city, not too low to have views blocked by other buildings. It's just perfect and absolutely breathtaking!
There are two open platforms at the top (plus one enclosed) - the lower one, larger in size, is fenced with glass panels, but they have a gap in between them so you can get pictures without a window glare (even with SLR cameras). There are benches to sit on, binoculars to use and a small gift shop with reasonably priced mementos to visit. The free Wi-Fi is reliable and fast.
The second platform is more open/airy as there is no barrier apart from one meter tall stone wall, however the views from here can be slightly obstructed by the glass panels and people on the lower floor.
It gets very very busy up there, especially around sunset hours, therefore advanced booking is highly recommended, but once the sun is gone the observation deck becomes a little less crowded. I personally did not wait more than 10 minutes to get to the top, including going through airport style security. My ticket was nearly 60$ (40$ basic ticket + 15$ extra for peak sunset hours + around 5$ taxes) but totally worth it! It seems they have a great ticketing policy including weather guarantee and re-issue guarantee, but I do not have any experience.
I personally spent nearly 3 hours up there as I could not get enough of the view! Every time I walked around I discovered something new about the city's skyline and got a new perspective. I felt I am part of the city and I haven't experienced that feeling anywhere else in New York City. This was my second, and for sure, not the last visit!

It’s been a tourist place for ages now. Obviously it’s free but if you want a good view of the bridge don’t go on the bridge. But you will get some good views of the city.
Nice spot. Currently unsafe due to rotting foundations (only visible at lowest tide). Helpfully closed off by RIOC

Lovely bridge to walk over! Plenty of people seeking food and/or snacks as you walk along. Can get quite busy though and the full walk along can be quite tiring so make sure you have some comfortable shoes on! It’s a lovely bridge to walk over though, with some amazing views!
Friends came down from NH and wanted to tour High Line. A little history. Trains as transport ran on solid ground. In NYC this was dangerous. First underground was in Brooklyn, but that's another story. So above ground started in mid 1920's. Eventually train traffic began less useful as trucks began more deliveries. Yes, it must be returned to the government by 2030 in its original degenerated condition! So it may remain as transportation. So sorry!

If you stop here, make sure you bring cash because they have the best vendors in the city. The least expensive, but they only take cash. There's always a good thing going on around here plenty to see plenty to do. Стоп
Must see spot in Manhattan! For sure it is also very crowded but you will a spot for shooting good photos. Tip: the Brooklyn side of the bridge is not so crowded as the Manhattan side and you have the stunning skyline in the background
I live here in New York and still marvel at the site of the Brooklyn Bridge. Worked in the area and crossed the bridge thousands of times, and I enjoy it every time. Breathtaking views and so much to see weather you're walking cross it or just stand in the vicinity of this amazing bridge. An amazing place to be and spend time just talking to God.
Overly crowded. I would rather recommend the rooftop park beside this. It's a much better spot for photo opportunities and also to enjoy the view.
We went here when it was dark, and I'd recommend that to anyone. It really shows that you're in New York, there's so many lights! Breathtaking, really. Staff were extremely friendly at every turn, most everything was communicated clearly. I had an absolutely wonderful time here, and I'd definitely go again if I'm in New York.
Panoramic view of central manhattan including central park. The entrance of observatory is located in properly accessible area. They sold a viewfinder (booklet) for $2. They have only limited indoor space than other observatories, so you may feel too hot or too cold outside. The exit is connected to lower level of the Rockefeller complex and can enjoy some snacks around there.
You are not allowed on the viewing point when there is a risk of lightning! Plan accordingly, there is a chill bar/restaurant nearby on the second floor of the plaza name ane eatery
Little Island is quite magnificent. There are ton of place where you can take elegant photos of the landscapes, sceneries, and friends/family. My friends and I went in the morning, so it was quite busy and packed. Of course, this means that the Observation Deck was full of people. The deck gave you a higher vantage point to view the areas of the Little Island and of the river, but that is all. I still highly recommend you try to get here as early as possible though.
It can get a little busy, but still worth a visit! Definitely a nice addition to NYC parks, and having this one be wheel chair friendly is definitely such a plus! So you can go up and down on different paths - if you're able to. The views at the top is honestly not that great, but definitely more park space, especially nicely designed ones, is always a plus!

You can't actually walk over to this Vista Point right now (June 2021), but you can walk partially on the High line to see some of it. It's a little blocked. Another good view point is from the Vessel itself.

This is a really interesting structure. A lot of stairs to climb but worth it when you get to the top.

Great new monument and landmark. Great views of the new skyline .
Amazing view of Hudson Yards and the Hudson River in front of the NJ skyline. Theres a nice little seating area right above the trains that's a good spot for relaxing at the end of The High Line, as well as having a bite to eat with a view. Helicopters also take off right next to the spot, making for great pictures and the kids love it.
Great place to take a stroll on a beautiful sunny day. It can get really crowded at some parts of the High Line but there are plenty of places to stop and sit and enjoy a NYC view. Bring some snacks/lunch and read a book. Great place to just chill and get out of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Make sure to notice the different art installations and artworks from different artists. There’s an area with few different food stands that were delicious. Prices are fair. Very kids friendly thing to do in NYC.

If you visit New York City, this should be on your "Must Do" list. I admire greatly the leadership decision not to demolish this former trane track and instead transform it into a park in the sky. More cities should consider such re-utilization of infrastructure.
Great experience if you are in meat packing district. Take a walk above streets of New York enjoy views and grab a lunch there. This place is over a mile long but you can get on and off there often by stairs or elevator.
