Classic old Amsterdam fish place run by two old codgers. Very simple and the fish is fried beforehand then they heat it up a little bit in a microwave but it's still very tasty. You just can get one piece of fried fish placed on a bun and it's actually pretty darn good.
Loved the Mussels with Roquefort!! Exceptional quality for the mussels as well.

Herring sandwich is amazing 🤤 I love this kind of small places, with a couple of tables/chairs and fresh food, where they been doing the same thing for years. Such a nice little eatery and smiling people.

Lovely service and topnotch food ! Variety of sea food integrated from all around the world. Definitely a must try spot for sea food in Amsterdam. Only downside is that personally I found the desserts quite expensive.
Great service and great food. Staff were lovely and recommended great white wines to pair with our grilled and steamed seafood. Definitely recommend the grilled seafood as well as the pasta for something warm. Overall great atmosphere, glad we made a reservation for this place.

Very delicious and very fresh. The oysters were a bit small, maybe because the type we ordered was small, but they were very fresh. It is a seafood restaurant worth visiting.
Wonderful seafood with wonderful ambience. Our server Jeroen, was very attentive and welcoming. He can speak Chinese, which helped us a lot because it’s faster than google translating the menu. Had a wonderful time here and would love to visit again. We had the grilled seafood platter and it was a good array of different kinds of fish, shellfish, mussels, and shrimps. The place is very lively and very relaxing, definitely a good place to hang and have some good food
I recently went to The Seafood Bar and it was amazing! Sofia, our waitress, was super helpful and really knew her stuff. The seafood dishes were incredibly tasty and fresh. The place itself had a great vibe, cozy but fancy at the same time. If you're into seafood, you've got to check this place out. It's a great spot for a nice meal

Wir waren gestern am Sonntagmorgen bei Rob Wigboldus als die Stadt noch geschlafen hat. In authentischer Atmosphäre konnten wir Krabbenbrötchen, Rollmops, 2x Haring natürlich und 2x Brathering genießen.
Amazing food and great service. I personally do not like fish so I tried the roasted potatoes, a cauliflower dish (can’t remember the name) and the beetroot salad. My friends mentioned that the mussels were one of the best they ever tried, so definitely worth a try if you’re into seafood.
Delicious seafood, the mussel and oyster are very fresh, I do recommend Irish oyster more than Dutch oyster though. The fish is nicely cooked, my kids also love the food.

This restaurant is a must when you visit Amsterdam. The experience is amazing, when you enter the restaurant you get to choose from ‘the market’ the fish you’d like to have and the sides. The prices are okay, given that you get fresh fish and seafood. The grilled shrimps are the best I’ve tried at any restaurant so far, really tasty and smoky. The sides are also really good, I recommend the cauliflower and aubergine.
Amazing! I had to try the Kobe Wagyu at some point, I regret not getting the whole steak. I had it as an appetiser, which was phenomenal. The waitress asked me at some point if it was good, I told her that it was so good I wanted to cry. For main course I had an Argentinian steak. It was great and cooked to perfection, but after the Japanese Kobe Wagyu, my whole world changed, steaks will never be the same again. You definitely need to try it at some point, even if it's a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was very friendly, overall a great experience!
The ambience is nice. A lot of tables on the floor with interesting interior design. Service was not that good. They forgot about our drinks. After two reminders they just put it on the table and left with no apology or whatever. And when I asked for the second time about our drinks which did not come in 45 minutes the waitress seemed annoyed by reminder. Then they forgot our bread. Same happened here. We did not have cutlery in the cutlery station on the table so we asked for cutlery and we have been told that we have them on the table which we did not, so it took us forever to get cutlery with reminders and irritated staff which eventually annoyed us. Food was good. Not the best seafood as prawns were a bit dry. Scallops and fish were well prepared. Octopus was divine. Dessert was ok. I would not recommend only because of the service provided. It’s not very expensive but for this experience it was way too overpriced to be treated like that. Food took forever to come too.

I love this place, sitting outside, facing a sweet square, people watching, cosy tables and chairs, fresh flowers on the tables. Great caring service from all staff, freshest oysters (on the day minimum 6 types available, few types of French, Irish, even Dutch). Herring on toast with beetroot, pickled onion and cucumber, a thing of beauty. Muscles with lovage & leek w touch of cumin & turmeric, just yum, with fresh crusty baguette. Perfect stop after adventures at Amsterdam gem that is Albert Cuypmarkt market (not to be missed on a trip to Amsterdam).
A friendly and entertaining place to visit, you can order on the app and have a good choice of mussels. I had the beet mussels and my friend had Roquefort. I’d definitely recommend Roquefort over beer as it’s a subtle cheese flavour that is creamy and not overpowering. Definitely recommend

Located conveniently in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam. We ordered Dutch oysters and the Gurnard. The Gurnard is a broth made with fish, shrimp stock and shrimps.
The oysters were fresh and medium sized. Very refreshing. The Gurnard’s extremely flavourful, rich and very hearty. In the cold weather, this really hit home especially when you have it with bread.
The staff was nice and made good recommendations for our meal. Definitely recommended!

Went to try their salted herring and it was Super delicious - the pickles really made the fish taste pop! I ended up ordering another one after the first one because it was so good. Great quick picker-upper, right at the heart of amsterdam central. There are only two tables inside the shop as it is very small. It costs 4€ for the herring w bread and 3.5 without. I docked one star because their sanitation is a little questionable - no gloves, and they handle the food prep and money (cash only) without washing their hands… and one of the people behind the counter also coughed on someone’s food as he was preparing it…
Absolutely delicious food. The Roquefort mussels were amazing. Also curious to try the Truffle and Thai options next time! Good portions and the G&Ts were also very tasty! Staff was friendly and helpful and food was delivered quickly as well. All in all a great experience!

What we thought would be a group place was in fact a very large restaurant with individual cosy seatings. It's really well done and the food was excellent. Lots of Asians too, that's already a sign of quality. Great experience. I came with a friend but will bring my wife next time.
This was an incredible experience. The oysters platter with 6 different ones was a great way to learn more about appreciating oysters. Everything was cooked to perfection, very fresh and all in an elegant, yet casual atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly.
Unfortunately, the food did not taste very good. Service is unfortunately also not known here. When we wanted to pay and our plates were still more than half full, we were neither asked if we wanted to have the rest packed, nor whether it tasted good. You can only order via your own cell phone. I find this very impersonal.
Perfect atmosphere with incredible seafood. We got the grilled seafood platter and it was just more than enough for two, and the sauce was so good! The main server here was so friendly and helped us order - we got the herring roll, smoked salmon roll, and eel roll. The herring roll was 4.50 eur, smoked salmon 5.50, and eel was 7 (from memory!!) - cash only. the serves are a bit small so it’s either for a snack or you need two per person. They are really tasty!! Taste very fresh which is what you want for raw fish meals. Would definitely recommend!

As it was our first time, we didn’t know we needed to order with a QR code. Once that was pointed out, we ordered with no issues.
The views are pretty nice. As our hotel was literally steps away from the restaurant, it wasn’t something we haven’t seen previously.
The food arrived promptly and was very good.
When we settled the bill, we were able to pay with American Express.
Overall, we will definitely come back the next time we’re in Amsterdam.

The service was impeccable from beginning to end. Kumar was so helpful and attentive even giving myself and family the best tip as far as cutting steak goes. The president was delightful and engaging. Made us feel like we were customers for a long time. Lastly the steak and all the sides were beyond delicious! When in Amsterdam this is a must. You won’t be disappointed!
Great experience, nice staff, good atmosphere and amazing food! The unique concept is explained very well and the staff is helpful with explaining everything. The fish is the freshest you can get, and is cooked to perfection. The starter bread with their homemade butter is incredible and i recommend you get it. Fried Calamari was crispy and delicious, and the tuna steak, sashimi, octopus, and monk fish were equally good. The sauce that the monkfish comes with is so good, i recommend dipping some bread in it! Would definitely come back here!
What a pleasant surprise! We randomly found this restaurant as we looked for a fish meal. Thanks to the accessible prices we were able to try a variety of dishes, and they were all very delicious. If I had to tell which one was my favorite, it’d be very difficult for me to decide. Additionally, the staff was kind and welcoming, and made us feel home. It’s not easy to find a place where you can eat delicious fresh fish, pay a reasonable price, and be treated nicely - so mark this one!
I had a fantastic dining experience at The Seafood Bar in Spui! This popular restaurant is always bustling, so I highly recommend booking a table in advance. The Mixed Grill was a highlight, offering a delightful variety of fresh and tasty fish. I also recommend trying the Mussels (French Style), they were superb. Don't miss out on the side dishes like Sweet Potato Fries, Green Asparagus, and Calamari. Overall, a must-visit for seafood lovers!
Incredible seafood! Fresh, beautifully served and delicious! We started with oysters (French, Dutch and Irish), French were my personal favorite. We also ordered cold platter and hot platter, it was definitely enough food for 5 of us! Service is always incredible here. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was advertised on one of the canal cruises, and it did not disappoint. The decor inside is gorgeous, with many Asian motifs and statues, and beautiful views of the river.
The menu is to be scanned inside, and while there are not that many options, the food that they do make is splendid. The beef with asparagus (very slightly spicy) and the Char Sui were juicy and very well seasoned. The dumplings were very good. I’d recommend getting dessert after the main food is already delivered, to avoid it getting cold.
We ordered some cocktails, which did take some time in getting delivered as the waiter forgot about them, but were very strong and tasty. Overall, a very decadent experience, with friendly staff and excellent food. Would definitely return.

Wow and wow… great place to have Chinese food! Your taste buds are tingling and mouth salivating from the dim sums, wonton soup and the beef dishes are mental with rice wheat noodles!

Fresh seafood, friendly service (especially from Alexandra) and a great vibe make this restaurant a popular one. Advance booking is essential! The Seafood Combination is the signature and you’ll see the dish on every table! Also the mussels in white wine; and prawns in butter and clams were tasty too! We even came back a second time for Happy Hour oysters (€1.25 per piece) so don’t miss it!
Me and the family went to Seafood Bistro. We ordered 4 Fish & Chips, the fish was brilliant & the chips were cooked to perfection! It was served with tartar sauce & a small side of salad.

Location: open space with tables to share, a jovial but slightly chaotic environment. The open kitchen inevitably causes smell in the main room. Tables without tablecloths, which is now usual but which I don't like very much.
The bathrooms are falling apart and are very dirty.
Food: fresh fish that you personally choose at the counter and then it is prepared for you and brought to your table. Each fish has its own recipe. Good taste, even if they could use less sauces.
The dessert I ate was good. Decent espresso coffee.
Service: fast and friendly even though the place was full. Well done.

Beautiful beautiful location in the Northwestern Amsterdam. Located inside a huge park. Lots of places to sit in the sun or shade. Half sized and full sized gins that were for us light on flavour but still refreshing. Big pots of mussels in several different sauces. The Truffle ones were a bit heavy for me, but the Thai ones were very tasty. At 27€ with fries and a small salad (that had little or no dressing on it) seems a little high.
The Seafood Bar was the perfect restaurant for a memorable last night in Amsterdam. Their website was easy to navigate to make an online reservation. Later times were filled so we opted for a before 6 pm time. It was easy to locate on a 20 walk from our hotel. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated in the spacious sleek interior with several levels ascending toward the rear of the dining area. There’s outdoor seating also. Caroline was attentive and pleasant with food arriving with perfect timing. The tasty starter had 3 crab cakes We ordered the king prawn with garlic and lemon with 7 delicious prawns. Green salad and crusty baguette completed the meal. We finished with a lemon tart and chocolate bavoroise dessert. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Highly recommend The Seafood Bar
This is a good Cantonese restaurant. Thus, I advise on ordering typically Cantonese food such as Dim Sum. The Dim Sum I ordered were nice, especially the duck dumplings that use genuine roasted duck pieces. Price is reasonable ; Cantonese Dim Sum is generally considered as “higher” end food. Same quality as in Canton, China. Portions were generous. Would be better if they also come with small dishes of sauce such as vinegar. Not a fan of exclusively ordering through smartphone; yes, it can solve a lot of things quickly but I cannot get more detailed orders that way neither.

Fantastic lunch in the oldest part of Amsterdam. Ample outdoor seating was perfect for a warm afternoon in a beautiful courtyard along the Spui. Possibly the best herring in Amsterdam! Quick authentic friendly service - they address you in the language you speak. I’m sure they get so many international tourists and got to learn basic phrases in many languages. Will come back here for sure!

Service is good and would love to experience it more. The QR code ordering is a bit experience breaking. And that while the staff is actually really friendly and such an upside.

Pesca was a wonderful treat! We were two locals and three Americans celebrating a birthday. All were impressed by the food and service. The concept worked out better than expected, with very kind, patient servers taking our order at both the fish and drinks stations. We never felt rushed, and they were careful to explain the process.
The food was all very good, with some truly excellent standouts: dutch oysters, octopus, and the fresh fish (brill and monkfish).
The chocolate party dessert was also delicious!

On a street loaded with food options this one stood out for seafood. The calamari was very nice, the fish and chips was very good and the mussels were tasty. Service was friendly. Given this is a high traffic tourist strip, you can have a sense of coziness away from the madness on the streets.
The most exquisite steak and a wonderful wine paring. They cooked everything to perfection and even reheated my steak as I was savoring every bite. The home prepared cheesecake dessert was absolute perfection. I can not recommend this location enough. Dito was on staff and he made sure everything was perfect.

The best seafood in town! Start with oysters, and try razor clams, scallops, lobster roll, polpo and fresh fish. Has a nice terrace if the weather is nice.
We were in this part of the town, and we stumbled across this excellent restaurant. We really enjoyed every dish at Brut de Mer 😋

One of the summer go to place! Many different flavors of mussels to choose from! And also lots of half gin tonics. Beautiful place with a big garden area, also very cozy inside. A good place to share flavors and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
We had Chefs menu 5courses , everything is very good 5*except desert, my husband and I didn’t like it , it was 3* but maybe it is a matter of personal taste.
Hidden Gem Alert!!! Our food was cooked perfectly (and I’m so picky!). The mussels had such flavor and I may have dipped a good portion of our bread in sauce. I was so surprised the fish could be that good. So glad we found this place and would literally come back to Amsterdam just to visit!!
Food was great. The service was not. We were not served bread until we asked about it. The menu was brought to us much later than next tables, who were seated after us. Be aware they are not equipped to pack your leftovers. When I asked if I could have my leftovers packed, the waiter went back to kitchen to check and then came back and said ok. But I specifically said I wanted everything on my plate packed, they only packed the main dish, not any of the vegetables I set aside to keep. Also, it was in a huge container.
The fish and chips were excellent. You could tell the cod was fresh.. Inhad a seafood pasta which was lovely. forgot to take a picture because I was so busy eating !

Lovely Thai restaurant in Amsterdam. All female staff, warm and friendly welcome, the restaurant is cozy and very traditional.

We tried their Kai Kratiam Prik Thai (chicken curry) and Khaw Phad Bai Krapouw (chicken fried rice) - both tasted good.
Good food. Nice staff. Mussels were half decent but definitely had better (as a Scottish person) definitely a good amount at a good price especially for Amsterdam. Fish and chips was good at a good size once again good value for money. Not many tables but quite busy.

We got the clams, octopus, fries, and crab ravioli for mains. Portion is decent, we were three people and felt good afterwards. They were all very fresh and tasty as well. Their desserts were overpriced for sure, and not very good. The chocolate tart was more like a block of chocolate. Overall a great experience. Just skip the desserts and get gelato somewhere else.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant a short metro ride from Centraal Station in Amsterdam in a quiet neighborhood. The tasting menu was absolutely fantastic, I will remember this meal for the rest of my life.
Great place for seafood! Amazing oyster tasting, super soft and juicy lobster and the crab ravioli were our highlight! Not to forget the lovely service! Thanks so much for a wonderful lunch!
This is one of the restaurants that I would commend for their cleanliness and overall neatness. From the entry, to the table settings, the arrangement of the bar and the presentation of food, the way chefs and servers present themselves. The hygiene aspect of it is top class!

I was so glad it was cleaned well. The last time i ate it in Normandy, I could feel sand in my mouth so i'm always cautious about eating mussels in restaurants.

We didn't try their alcoholic drinks. We stuck with water and some iced teas.
But overall, food, staff and ambience is great.

OMG. My meal last night was so good that it literally made me cry. It was the best meal of my life. I ordered the seafood pasta, garlic bread and a side salad. Everything was wonderful. The star of the meal was the seafood pasta. There was more than a generous amount of seafood in this delicious tomato sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I’m surprised the mussels is much better than what I had in Brussels. The pasta and grilled mushroom are also delicious. Mojito is good.

Staff was friendly and was able to suggest quickly. Food tasted amazingly and we left happy.
I would definitely recommend crab salad and oysters. You can order big plate with 6 different types of them, however I liked only the last ones. Anyway you can always ask the staff about anything.

Exceptionally high quality food. Fresh, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Staff is professional, attentive and knowledgeable as you expect in a restaurant like this, but they were alse jovial and personal; an integral part of the experience, not just an accessory to the service. The list of digestifs is remarkable, including distinct selections of eaux de vies, ports and armagnac. I'll be back.
Delicious and fresh. We tied herring sandwich, smoked eel, crab salad, fried cod, everything was super tasty! Totally will eat here again next time I’m in Amsterdam! Some people complain that cod fish is microwaved, but it is freshly cooked the same day (big amount), it’s very tender. The owner is friendly and kind. There are only 2 tables inside , but people come and go, there’s always a chance to sit and enjoy your snack ☺️

I tried this place , I have started with biscuit soap then followed by the scotch steak ( as recommended by chef) of 250 gm which one of the best tender steaks 🥩 I have tried ever was n Amsterdam.
I strongly recommend this place for any one is looking for a satisfied stake meal.

For fresh seafood lovers. It's a tad on the expensive side, but well worth it. Lovely fresh oysters, going well with a nice Chardonnay. Service was a bit slow to begin with, but very informative and friendly.
Was a very pleasant experience. The service was amazing. Very quick and clean. From drinks, appetizer, main course to dessert. Personally it was the best steak I have ever had (medium well done). Very well cooked and garnished. (pepper sauce is amazing) The side dishes were delicious (especially the mushrooms). I personally love mochi ice so it really was a big plus for me. I have no complaints whatsoever about this food experience. For sure worth the trip and I will go back again with friends and family. Thankyou Hakim & Sing

First thing is this restaurant is overrated, I visited there for lunch by checking the reviews but I don’t really like it much, we ordered Thai curry which is not at all good in taste specifically tofu used was not good in taste also feels like not fresh.
Menu is also overpriced which is second thing.
However noodles were good but the same tofu used in those noodles ruined the taste.
My wife really puked after we came out from restaurant, maybe something wrong with that dish and tofu.
