Needs better management.
Only tickets to be given before opening should be the elderly or disabled. Everyone else needs to stand in line and wait for their tickets. Someone needs to keep track of the line and hold people accountable. If you leave the line, go to the back. People are complaining while in line, just a matter of time before it becomes a bigger issue. Had a young person get a ticket early and try to get in front of me, I raised an issue but allowed it, next week, same thing so they went and got someone older who had already gone through the line, gave them their tickets to get in line. Their name wasn’t verified. That cop needs to be out of the car. It’s not worth the frustration.

You will witness the raw presence of God in the service. God of Apostle Timothy Oluwole Obadare is still alive here.
They give you a lot of food if you need it thank you so much for you guys
Had a wonderful experience at the food bank packing senior boxes with Rich. This was my 4th time volunteering at this location. Will definitely come back! Love giving back!
Every time we volunteer at the CAFB we have a blast. The staff is warm, welcoming and accommodating to their volunteers. I highly encourage those interested in giving time back to their community to give it to the CAFB!
Team United had a great time supporting the Capital Area Food Bank. The coordinator Rick was fantastic to work with. We will be back very soon. Happy Hollidays.
The staff is warm and sincere. Extremely helpful. What they're doing is truly a blessing.
Awesome place for resources. The staff in all departments care about the people that come for assistance 😊

I had the privilege of volunteering at the Capital Area Food Bank. From the moment our team entered the building we were greeted with a smile. Rich, our supervisor of the day, not only provided clear instruction and safety tips, he shared the who, what and why behind the mission and great tunes while we worked. It was an absolute pleasure to serve.
Our team had an amazing experience volunteering at the CAFB! A well run organization with a team of great people who guided us through the entire experience, helping us understand what we were doing and who we were serving through our efforts. Rich was an outstanding supervisor who provided a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere for everyone involved. His playlist made for a lively assembly line and kept us motivated! It was a GREAT day. ❤️
Wonderful to give back and serve at the Capital Area Food Bank. This facility is well maintained, clean, efficient, & organized. It was a safe and pleasant environment to assembly food boxes for Capital area seniors in need. Rich our supervisor for the day was pretty awesome too. Rich made sure we were safe, entertained, & informed about the volunteer process. He had a well laid out plan for us to assist. It was a pleasure volunteering here. Keep up the great work Capital Area Food Bank. 👏🏽
Volunteered here recently. Such an amazing program that was very organized and thorough! Rich was an amazing coordinator and awesome DJ. The whole process was smooth and seamless. I appreciate the fantastic experience!
They have a very good selection. The service is excellent.
I go every month
Greatest Helpful Community Food Bank & Professional Services In The City.
Only complaint is that they run out of diapers, so call ahead maybe before you go. It takes me almost an hour and a half to get there, so it was kind of upsetting. But their food program is better than the other location on 7th street.
This place is clean and have a few nice peoples and really have items what every one need who can ask for more
The line moved quickly and the selection was very good.
I am a Disabled Homebound Senior Citizen and an Honorable Discharged Navy Veteran. Whenever I NEED FOOD, BREAD FOR THE CITY is ALWAYS there for ME. DROPPING OFF FOOD RIGHT AT MY DOOR STOP. 💎💜😀😎 They are ANGELS HERE ON EARTH

So helpful to the community very nice people
As I was passing by at 9:15am on 07/15/2022, I noticed a food distribution sign located outside of the gate. I entered onto the parking lot for further details when I was approached by a guy named Larry. I asked him instructions on receiving food? he then stated that I needed my ID. I went inside of the vehicle that I was riding in to retrieve my ID alongside of Larry giving me the application to fill out in turn. I immediately filled the application out and submitted it back to Larry with my ID. 10 minutes later, Larry returned to inform me that I needed to add my snap benefit amount in detail on the application? I informed him that I checked off the benefit section as indicated on the application? He then took the application back inside to return seconds later to let me know that I needed to detail the amount while asking if I had received any additional income? but when I told him NO, he stated that I should be receiving some type of income? I informed him that I was unemployed and that the only income that I am currently receiving is what was checked off? and asked him why did I have to submit a detailed income amount if I am not receiving any income? nor was it a question on the application that asked about a benefit amount? He stated that he was told to do so inside. I followed the protocol anyway to avoid conflict but overheard a lady inside stating if I was someone else with the same last name as if she had a previous encounter with this induvidual(s). I felt then that it was a concern? In the meantime Larry returned with my ID and gave me a bag of spoiled items, while informing me of the next grocery date on Friday's at 9:30am. I departed and returned back on 07/22/2022 at 10:00am, to speak with a supervisor, the gentleman went inside immediately as I awaited 10 minutes until I spoke with the lady that introduced herself as Ms. Haigler, I informed her of the instructions that Larry previously had given me thru her on 07/15/2022 in which I felt were inappropriate given that I am unemployed? and that since Larry stated to me that I should have income, I submitted to Ms. Haigler my resume to assist with me having an income type? She then briefly looked at my resume while mentioning to me that Larry should have not have asked about a benefit amount. I then informed Ms. Haigler of my discarding the food items due to them being spoiled as it was unacceptable. Ms. Haigler then mentioned that she appologized for my feedback and in turn told me that she including the church pays out of pocket expenses for all food distributions. I informed her of her claims being false since all food distributions come thru food banks.
Absolutely love what this company does for those in need. I’ve seen so many people come here and receive help over the past 5yrs when I worked in the area! Great work they do here!
Great place to volunteer and give back to the community.
The personnel is super attentive and helpful.

May God bless their mission to help the ones in need.
