I had been researching Home Care services for quite some time and couldn't find the right fit for my mom. Fortunately, WJCS recommended Lean On We and put me in touch with Denise. She was communicative and understanding throughout, providing a sense of relief and security that I had not experienced with the other services. Highly recommend, as Denise and her team truly provide the support so you don't have to stand alone.

in a time of crisis, Lean on We was professional, timely, and clear with what I needed to do to get an aide in my parents house. It allowed my mother to interview the aides so she could see the choices. My contact at Lean on We stayed in touch through out our learning journey of having an aide.

When my mother was ill and needed full-time, in-home support, LeanOnWe connected us with an excellent primary aide as well capable substitutes (often on short notice). Our primary aide, Theresa Lewis, was with us for three years and provided strong, compassionate support through end of life. We are thankful to have worked with Theresa. She enriched the last few years of my mother's life and we consider her a member of the family.
LeanOnWe provided the exact service we needed. I was struggling to find in-home care for my dad and we had tried a couple of other services. Despite long phone calls and paperwork, there was a huge gap with the other services between what was discussed and what the care person understood as their role in the house.

With LeanOnWe, you get to view the profiles of the potential caregivers and give feedback. This makes it much more iterative and prevented the failures of other services. Plus before the caregiver comes to your home, you speak with them and come to an agreement on everything. LeanOnWe does a good job of not getting in between you and the caregiver.

The process went so well with the first caregiver that a couple months later we asked LeanOnWe to find another to get more coverage.

LeanOnWe also did a good job of communicating and finding backups when schedules got unexpectedly interrupted.

I'd definitely recommend LeanOnWe to anyone looking for an in-home care provider.

I'll be honest in saying that I wasn't thrilled about having to pay LeanOnWe continually in addition to the caregiver. When we got the 2nd caregiver that actually meant twice as much weekly going to LeanOnWe. Obviously this was all in the contract but it still surprised me. Unfortunately in-home care is never cheap so I understood I was paying for peace of mind and after over a year of needing caregivers, I can say that's what we got

We needed a home health aide for my wife after she was released from the hospital. We needed someone flexible in terms of times he/she could come and also the tasks. LeanOnWe screened several people and provided videos; we then spoke with 2 of them and selected one. All this within a 2 day window.
The person who we hire was perfect; flexible, friendly and personable. Of course she helped out with light household chores but the real contribution was that he helped my wife with exercises that the hospital physical therapists prescribed. Within a 2 month period, my wife had recovered most of her strength, flexibility and endurance, a large part of which we attribute to the health aide's work with her on a daily basis.

My father’s last wish was to come home after 100 days in a rehabilitation center. In order for him to come home he needed live-in care that was specialized for his specific needs. Denise and her team at LeanOnWe were immediately able to find a live in home health care aide for me to interview in record time. We will forever be thankful to LeanOnWe for making my father’s last six weeks of his life at home the way he wanted with live in care.Thank you all.
Many many thanks to Brenda (service aide)!!!
She's best the room service in the building! Thank you mami!!!!
A much needed service - this team provides knowledge and expertise coupled with compassion and care. Many of us - including myself - do not think about forms of care and transition until forced to face it. Luckily LeanOnWe was able to assist us through the process and guide us to a solution that was fit for our needs. For anyone with parents who are entering golden years - contact LeanOnWe to learn more on how to properly plan and prepare for the next steps of care. You will be grateful you did.

A family member of mine applied for employment in this, and I will use this word loosely, company. Loosely because the title company, implies professionalism, which this company severely lacks. He informed me he received the run around each time he called. His calls were either met with assurance of a callback which unfortunately did not occur (concrete proof that there is integrity lacking), snickers and giggles (either from intoxication or highness during work hours or the lack of presence of brain cells). As he is discussing these encounters with me, I asked him to record every attempt, including time date and person he encountered. Today he made contact again via speakerphone. I was disgusted with the lack of professionalism. The call was answered by a female who decided in the middle of speaking, numerous times, to have side fun conversations with her classmates. No excuse, no placing on hold, indicating clearly his call was not important. As she finally decided this was an alleged business she proceeded to tell him loudly the person he was seeking, Bryan, was in the bathroom. At that point the hyena and her side kicks began to crack up losing the smallest amount of brain cells any had left. Several hours later he received an email employment was not offered. That was the actually joke. After his last interaction we spoke, read the reviews on this school like bar foundation were on point. My advice to him please read reviews very important to hear what the community is saying. The decision was made this low class place was not for him. They can keep there unethical, no word, ratchet like environment to themselves. I will be looking into this company and their policy on drug testing and credentials for those in administration. While they do not provide service, they are in the line to ensure clients/patients are serviced/scheduled adequately address their healthcare needs. No matter which insurance is paying for the costs of the services, it is the responsibility of the insurance to assure they are no deficits present disrupting services to the client. In other words, act like you know you are suppose to be professionals during work hours. Begin first with learning how to spell the word.

Staff was very unfriendly. Concerned for the safety of my family member. Two hours late for their scheduled time. Live and learn.
Lean On We was a lifesaving find that we happened upon at the right time. My father needed 24 hour home care on very short notice and Denise and her team came through with aides who are talented, experienced, and caring. Both Althea and Elma took excellent care of my father and were very responsive to family communications. They also were able to assess the home situation and make valuable recommendations that only experienced caretakers could make. I recommend Lean on We for anyone who needs to hire home care for a loved one.

Horrible company to work for and partner with, they use you and throw you away like trash! People are always abruptly laid off, and they brag about how much money they have and yet treat people like dirt! I promise you will regret working with this company! They are not good people!

Today passing Gouverneur hospital
The driver of this vehicle flew out of the hospital exit ( the exit is in the middle of an active block where pedestrians walk) no lights , no signal , nothing
Just literally flew straight out
He said oops , starting laughing and kept driving right through
Not even considering he almost ran into my stroller . No apology nothing
Literally just kept driving .
If this is someone chosen to take care of people in need I wonder what their rides are like because clearly the drivers DONT CARE.

Edit : management was supposed to give me a call in regard and never did. So if you see these vehicles please watch out because they are liable to run you over . As you see I’m not the only review that mentions their driving .

Non existent customer service. 92 year old father needed transport from hospital to rehab. Because they coded the service incorrectly when billing Medicare, claim was denied. We keep getting bills. No one answers phone or returns numerous messages requesting that they fix the issue. Wish I could give ZERO stars and BILL THEM for all the time I've spent trying to fix their error.

To work for them is a nightmare. God forbid you have the same last name as someone else logging into their system will be impossible. Management never knew what was going on. The yard I was in tried to bully and force their employees to supply the article 30 part 800 supplies with no reimbursement. The only way I could even speak with management and hr was to schedule a meeting as a new hire.
I couldn't be happier with the home care I received. Caregivers were both very thorough and knowledgeable as they completed their nursing and physical therapy assessments. I would without a doubt choose this home care agency.

I thought they were out of service honestly. Saying that cause the last time I saw one of they're Ambulances was in this photo I took from 2020 in the Bronx. I'll see Citywide, RCA, & Seniorcare constantly though. Either way it's good to know your Ambulance Company is in New York City. Always needed here. Thank you for for your service, & stay safe.
My husband is currently receiving in home physical therapy, even though his reluctance to have "strangers" in our home led him to fight it before they arrived. Home Health Care Services NYC's nurses are incredible and made him change his mind immediately. Their support makes him feel valued and cared for. Thank you for always going the extra mile to do what's best for him.

Have never dealt with such discriminative and unprofessional management. I conducted multiple interviews, sent multiple follow-up emails, was told to come to orientation, and no one has ever gotten back to me. I was told by one of the managers I was not “enthusiastic” enough…whatever that means lol. I do not recommend working for this company.
This company is amazing. Staff has always had your needs met with skilled caregivers that do an exceptional job. All of them are friendly and professional to deal with. All services are great just the way it is! If I were asked I would recommend this agency to my family and friends.
The phone number is incorrect; even when calling 411 Information.
Caring One could not have been a better agency for us. We had unique needs for our aging mother and Caring One really came through and got to know our mother. They were also very flexible with schedule and each aide we worked with was warm, caring and just wonderful.
In looking for a new agency to help with care for my mother, I came across Caring One. They had good online reviews and an office nearby. Additionally, an aide with whom we already had a working relationship, was looking for a new agency. So, after a couple of back and forth calls with Cassandra and Emalyn, it was decided that our aide would take an interview. We had also gone so far as to discuss what the next steps might be, should this be a good match for both parties. And then, everything went sideways. For no discernible reason, Caring One, after meeting with the aide and doing the initial intake of her information, seemed to then fall off the radar. As a prospective client, I called numerous times, only to be put through to a messaging service each time, without a single call back for more than a week. So, after about a week, my wife, who happens to work near their office, headed over to see if she could speak with someone there. When she arrived, she found a small cubicle, among a larger co-working/shared space tucked away on the 20th floor of 14 Wall St., in which sat Cassandra. My wife asked what was going on, and why they hadn't returned any of our calls. Cassandra said something about needing to speak with her boss and not having the answers herself. It's been a week since then and there has been no call back. Bottom line, this should be a major red flag for any prospective client. When you cant get through to an agency at the outset, and once you eventually do, and their reasoning is nonsensical, you should take that as an indication of how things might go in the future. Safe to say that when things get a little confusing or trying, they will likely come up short of your expectations.

You will sleep easy at night, knowing your loved one is being cared for by the staff from Caring One Home Healthcare. The staff are compassionate, loving and reliable.
The staff take very good care of my 85 year old Aunt. My Aunt is no longer feels lonely and her care givers treat her like family!
When it comes to care and love that you have for your parents, Caring One Home Healthcare are the absolute best! The caregivers made sure my parents where well taken care in every way possible. The care they received gave me , my sister and brother peace of mind knowing they where in good hands .
They took care of everything since we where all so far away. Our parents became close to the care givers because of their compassion and care.
They kept communication with us at all times. They became family to us and our parents.!
I would highly recommend and trust Caring One Home Healthcare for your loved one! Tina V.
Emalyn and her caregivers provided not only wonderful care for my Mom and Dad, but love and compassion. Emalyn was always on top of Mom and Dad's care and always communicated well with her caregivers, with Mom and Dad and with us. There was not much turnover with the caregivers, which was imperative for Mom, since she had dementia. Mom and Dad felt very loved and cared for during the six years that Emalyn was part of their lives. I would recommend Emalyn and her caregivers very highly.
Our family had blindly signed up with a different agency because they made it easy to sign up for services. We had no idea what to expect. After 3 months of having aides sleep on the job, arrive late and eat our food we had enough. We called Emalyn at the The Caring 1 and since day 1 she made an impact to our mothers life and ours as well. She genuinely cares for our mother and also cares about the quality of life of loved ones. Hands down the best agency out there ! The aides are compassionate, loving people. I would not trade this agency for the world !!!
Caring One experience was exceptional. The aid was compassionate and helped transition my husband from Hospital and short term rehab to home. She encouraged my husband to test for Diabetes, Oxygen level, blood pressure and weight. She set up a book to log all info and encouraged hime to eat a diet that would improve his poor health condition. She also encouraged walking daily to improve his mobility.
Both the aid and the owner of the company were supportive before during and after. This agency is outstanding.
