Toilets are on the next floor that you access by elevator but when I went, both bathrooms had no sink working. This is the best souvenir shop/ gift shop/ home decor/ spot for sock lovers. Socks ranged from $15-25. Trinkets were around $10. Plates and kitchen decor was around $25 (prices on pictures included). LOTS of candy with awesome flavours. Hot sauces used during the Hot Ones interviews were here. There’s a gift for everyone and the price ranges drastically.

ShopAGO hits all the right notes. Interesting, well-made, and well designed products at a variety of price points ensures that there is something for everyone.

At the same time, I would like it if they made it easier to spot products and art created and designed by Black artists and those that identify as people of colour.
As painful as it is, I have decided to rate this store two stars since it has, in my opinion, gotten worse over the years. I shopped here for the first time in 2010 and ever since would occasionally bring my out town/country guests for some unique gifts. It used to stock rare items, local artist works and almost guaranteed you'd find something to buy. These days it stocks the same cheap plastic junk sold at numerous other "unique gifts stores". Socks a lot of socks probably almost a third of the store is dedicated to socks lol. In addition the prices have gone through the roof. A lot of the stuff is borderline "as seen on TV" with hand made/artsy items almost none existent. Like I said over the years there seems to be less and less to buy. Plenty of items have been on these shelves for years. In conclusion it's not a terrible store. The atmosphere is great and the selection they sell is pretty wide. However it does feel like it's way way past its prime and totally overpriced. You can get a lot of the same stuff in other gift and card shops for at least a few bucks cheaper. This was likely the last time I ventured out of my way to bring guests to this store. I'll give it another shot a few years later and see if anything changes, but for now it's not worth it.

Nice business model - independent artists rent a stall, but then get 100% of sales. LOTS of different craftspeople and and artisans have work there. The basement is only accessible by steep stairs but was my preferred place to look around. Worth a visit.

a lovely store with beautiful art, gifts, souvenirs and jewellery made by Canadian artists. so many temptations there and it is hard to leave empty handed!
Great place with so many pretty souvenirs to choose. Price was reasonable.
This store had a nice selection of Toronto and Canada themed items as well as general souvenirs you'd expect to be associated with Canada. Staff were also nice.
The good: this store has an excellent selection of supplies; they carry some brands that are difficult to find elsewhere.

The not-so-good: Customer service. Every time I've shopped at this location, there's been an issue. At the end of last year, they were running a holiday sale. Because the store is closed Sundays (and the sale was running until the Sunday inclusive), I placed an order online for in-store pickup. After receiving my notification saying my order was ready, I came to the store. The one employee on duty could not locate my order. She looked and looked, and tried repeatedly to call two colleagues to ask where the order might have been stored. Now, my order was not complicated - six tubes of paint. There is a point when the employee should have pivoted and just filled the order by pulling the items off the shelf (once located, the order that had already been put together could have been restocked). Instead, she persisted in trying to locate the existing order, which took a total of 20 minutes and multiple phone calls to colleagues.

More recently, I was in the store, purchasing four tubes of paint. The employee had trouble scanning one tube, ultimately ended up scanning it twice and overcharging me.

As much as I prefer to support local businesses, I'll probably just go to Michael's in the future. They have sales all the time, and these issues never happen.
The Royal Canadian gift shop is the best shop in Toronto to buy souvenirs. Good price and the Staff are good people and help with your buy.

I went there only once and I really enjoyed the different pieces of art and antiques. Some are very functional, others are just art for the sake of it. Prices for many objects seemed reasonable. I appreciate the fact that nobody is trying to sell you something, just like in a gallery. I don't know if objects change regularly, but I'd definitely go back to check and maybe buy some of these retro-style photos of Toronto most famous convenience stores.

Came to the queen east location and bought a beautiful horse shoe charm necklace! The gentleman working was so kind and helpful!
Good selection of products and price ranges. The treatment I received when cashing out was disrespectful though. I asked for an itemized receipt to make sure everything was correct and the cashier refused to give it to me, then called the store manager who questioned why I needed such a thing and had an overall defensive demeanor. They asked me to be understanding as they are a small business, as if I was making an outrageous request.

the prices for most things are fine, but if you want honey for example it is cheaper upstairs. Quality of the clothes is nice, but the longsleeve was really expensive and when I asked the owner if he could make a little discount because I buy multiple thing but he first ignored me and then didn’t even look at me. This was very impolite to me so I didn’t buy it.

This is just about the best shop in the city for gifts! There are also so many amazing daily use products here as well. This is a market for local artists to sell their handmade creations. The shop is run by wonderful staff, many of whom are vendors themselves. All the money, after a monthly fee, goes directly to the artist. I love the concept of this place, and as an artist myself here, I can say the whole thing works very well. Highly recommend all Artsmarket locations, but this one is the original and has a special feel.
I never fail to find a perfect gift at Petroff (as well as stuff I would want to own as well). The collection is curated beautifully with a variety of price points and very unusual Judaica as well. It's my go to when I need something special.

Ordered some gifts to be taken to family members in Chile. Placed the order on July 18, 2023 and paid $13.10 for expedited shipping. The estimate arrival date was July 20, 2023. It’s now July 25, 2023 and my order status is still ‘Not yet shipped’, and I’ve sent 2 follow up emails that have gone unanswered. I paid the expedited fee as the person taking the gifts back to Chile is leaving August 2nd and I didn’t want to risk not getting them in time which looks like will happen regardless if I get anything at all. Order # 18750

When I have to buy a gift for any occasion from a casual item to a wedding gift they are my go to. I have always found something unique and exciting and the recipients have always been delighted. Better Gift Shop is a unique and exciting store that offers a distinctive shopping experience for those seeking gifts or personal style essentials. The store's concept of being a gift shop for an imaginary museum or gallery is intriguing, and it offers a wide range of street style essentials from popular brands like Cav Empt, Arc'teryx, Salomon, Full Court Press, and Gramicci. The curated selection of trinkets and home goods is also worth mentioning, as it adds a personal touch to the shopping experience.

One of the most impressive aspects of Better Gift Shop is its high profile collaborations that have allowed the store to offer limited edition products that are exclusive to its customers. This is a major draw for fashion enthusiasts and collectors who are always on the lookout for unique items.

The store's staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help customers find what they are looking for. They are also great at providing advice and recommendations for those who are unsure about what to purchase.

Overall, Better Gift Shop is a fantastic store that offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. The selection of products is excellent, the collaborations are exciting, and the staff is top-notch.

excellent spot for local focused gifts, jewelry (modern, high end and affordable), good selection of books and reading material. They have an awesome selection of kids focused products - all kinds of markets, colouring books, paints, art history, etc. their prices are high but worth it, all purchases go directly to supporting the arts and culture. i especially love their rotating exhibition merch - cool prints, posters, magnets, mugs, totes and t shirts. great spot for holiday shopping

I love stopping by Arts Market whenever I’m on a walk. Everything is from local vendors and they have an amazing selection of gifts and other items that’s perfect for anyone. There are hidden gems all over the shop, especially in the basement where you can find vintage furniture.
Small but delightful artist supply not far from the Junction. Absolutely amazed at how well stocked it was, with well-curated materials, many from Canadian businesses, including the exceptional Beam Paints. Wide variety of supplies and a decent stock level of them, too, which is reassuring when purchasing something new to trial. I felt like the sketchbooks I purchased would still be available in future, should they work out well. Knowledgeable, helpful staff that let you enjoy a thorough browse but are instantly ready to assist. Delightful; will definitely visit again in future.

Terrible product. I'm very disappointed in manner of how the product was shown to be misleading. It was not the size and was cheap. They tried to bargain with me about not refunding me on my items. Going to my bank to get my money back and calling the attorney for the customs.

Wonderful place to find a wide selection of unique and interesting items, from clothing (new and vintage) to heirloom pieces. Their vendors are interesting and you will be supporting local artists and artisans, from across the greater Toronto area. They have 3 locations! The staff are always helpful and friendly. One of my favourite places to find unique gifts for friends and family! If you're looking to support local artists and small businesses, Arts Market is one of the best places to go shopping. I've consistently found unique jewelry and art here and I always feel good about shopping here because I know my purchases are going towards the local community. This is a special place. The staff is knowledgable and very friendly. I feel like I can could go there everyday to find more interesting material to apply to my practice. Smaller than expected but a decent collection. Not the best quality shirts but I enjoyed the funny ones.
ARTiculations might be smaller than some, but they are the essential art supply store in Toronto and Canada, for amateur and professional artists. They carry only the finest in art supplies. I'm quite partial to the paints and mediums that they carry from Natural Pigments and Michael Harding and the brushes from Rosemary. If you haven't acquainted yourself with them, check them out online, or even better, in person at their store. And the staff are all wonderful.
Articulations is a beautiful, well organized art shop with high quality art supplies. There, I found the Rosemary Brush line which are now my favourite in both oil and watercolor brushes. The Staff is very friendly and well informed about their products. Parking is easy in front of the store on Dundas St. Articulations kept the Old Shop feel when renovating to their “new” location, just steps away from the Keele and Dundas intersection. I highly recommend going to this Shop for art supplies and plan to spend some extra time to browse. It is an Artist ‘s date.
Articulations is the most unique art supply store in Toronto. So often I have shopped in frustration never finding the range of products I need in one location. For the serious student and professional artist especially, this store is a necessary addition. A good variety of Rosemary brushes, Michael Harding paints, and Natural Pigments products are available, as well as many beautiful gifts for my artist friends. The best of the best. And last but not least, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

What an adorable place! Full of quirky, cute, niche-specific items, all gift worthy.

The variety of sock designs is simply amazing and a lot of fun! You can't go wrong gifting socks especially when they are cute and edgy like these.

There are designated spaces for different themes like kitchen, gardening, honey and bees, Christmas, stickers, plushies, British things, hot sauces, jewelry, games, etc etc.

Great place to visit, can't leave here without getting something either for yourself or for someone else.

Washrooms are upstairs via the elevator but you must ask a store employee for a code to get up there.

I haven't been to the AGO in years. I went to see the 'Black Fragments" exhibit. A lot of the photographs reminded me of my families' photos. It was very nice. I got a free ticket from work. The COC collaborated with them for some virtual events.
The shop was huge and full of so many beautiful items inspired by the exhibits. There is a book that has all the pictures from the " Black Fragments" exhibit for only $40. So many lovely things, but I have mo room to put them. Maybe someday when I have a decent place to live I can by something from the shop.

My boyfriend had mentioned this place to me a couple times when we've walked past and I had been meaning to check it out. Adorable handmade stuff inside but then I noticed there is a downstairs area and I was so excited when I went down. I'm a long time vendor (Sara's Soaps and Candles) and shopper of Arts Market. I love visiting the store to shop as there are many amazing hand made and vintage vendors to shop from, with new product being added frequently. The owner and staff are all amazing and upbeat! It's always a great experience visiting the stores.
How to shop for your art supplies in this pandemic when you hate online shopping? Try ARTiculations. I email them a couple photos of the oil brushes that I have, told them what I like / dislike, and what I wanted to use the brushes for. They replied to my email promptly with very good suggestions. ARTiculations carries some unique brands that you can't find in the major art supply stores. I bought some Rosemary oil brushes and Michael Harding oil paints (both are UK brands). They are beautiful. I personally think Rosemary is better quality than Raphael (and they are about the same price). Thank you Marie for handpicking the brushes for me and thank you for ARTiculating what I need. Have fun painting!

Your here at Kensington market and this store has the nicnaks your looking for.
While not much has changed inside, some of their products have changed slightly. Though, mostly remains the same. They do pick up some items from local artists once in a while and sell them at the store.
Either way, you can certainly find interesting and unusual items that will please the individual.

Items include: specialty hot sauces, pop up cards, toys, baby items, UK foods, drinks, candles, socks, cushions, pet items and many more.

Overall, remains a great gift shop to check out.

Great experience here! Very helpful staffs, various (and fun) options for souvenirs. I bought a cup for my bro, then I found my card lost by the end of the day. A delightful art store to walk thru. Not very big, but always brimming with stunning paintings and a great variety of eclectic works of art... ie. metal designs, jewellery, cards, smaller paintings, etc. The big pieces of art, easily seen from the outside, are usually featuring one or two artists and often very Canadiana in theme. All high end quality works... swing by for a visit!

Looking for quality Toronto or Canadian souvenirs? Then this is the place to purchase them. All sorts of goodies: cards, t-shirts, jewellery, art books, home accessories, kids toys, and more. A large and well laid out store.

ARTS ON QUEEN: Class act! A few weeks back, bought a beautiful little beaded frog here for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I inadvertantly left it at the Valumart checkout minutes later. A week of hopeful but futile checking passed and I returned to AonQ to buy a replacement. On hearing my sad tale, Ellen insisted on a 50% reduction of my new purchase. I am a now a committed, loyal customer of this beautiful shop. Thank you Ellen.
