I have had excellent service from MagazineCafe store. Issues arrived on time or pretty much so. Always diffcult to say to say from overseas. Magazines are well packaged, addressed legibly. It's a pleasure doing business with MagazineCafe.
Favorite plant shop in the city! Nice place for beginners too. The owner of the shop is incredibly knowledgeable and open to sharing tips for how to nurture one’s plants.

right off of Times Square you have a little magical experience. This is a great place for gifts for all ages ! If you’re a kid at heart then go for it. They have two floors and a great variety
The store is great!!! So many items to choose and not so pricey, compared to resellers selling Disney items. Totally recommend. They have things from 10 dollars to 300. I would like them to have more "adult" things available, such as key chains, scarfs, magnets, mugs, etc.
The Disney store in NYC is no ordinary trip especially with lanterns decoration in the esculators. The items are really cute!! I found a lot if sale items today!! I was really excited to find 25% discount on some t shirts and christmas items. I really encourage all to take scroll around. Be your inner child and juat explore.
Very small store with a selection that is in balance with the space available. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory. The cost is pricey but it is high quality paper products so you get what you pay for. The place has a Maman bakery that is attached which is pretty cool and picturesque.
Some items are overpriced. Try search online for the same item might save you a lot of money. Bought a new jeans album at the American Dream store for 30$ and later found the exact same one at different store at the same mall for 22.5$. They also do not refund you. Think twice before you buy.
Not an actual store. 1/4 the size of a standard Paper Source with mostly gift store items. They had one pen for sale. This is a tourist trap.

Quality shops, but The PEOPLE who attend these markets are the worst! Besides the fact that they can’t WALK they are rude and brain dead. Then there is the “security” who let rogue vendors harass you while your shopping in someones booth. As well as let fights go on in front of them between vendors and civilians because security is eating and having a conversation… Deff can find some great buys here, but you’ll wanna blow your brains out!
A bunch of signs and google say it opens at 9, but not a single employee insight to open the door.

The Raclette is a MUST!!
Food options were definitely better than the Bryant Park ones. But not a lot of decorations or festive things to do in this market beside eating or shopping at the vendors - no Christmas decor, ice skating and so on.

This place is every kids (& adults) paradise. Off course everything is overly prized and I personally felt not worth the price tags, but that should not stop you from taking a ride to fantasy world of your favourite characters. Luckily I visited on Thanks Giving weekend and there some discounts running.

This holiday market is adorable. I really liked how it was laid out. The no food items we’re together while the food and beverage vendors were close together. They had a great variety of food vendors. The only draw back were the giant lines. The cheese wheel pasta, the raclette cheese and the boiis mochi desserts were a huge hit. It really gets the holiday spirit going. The Union Square Holiday Market can definitely compete with the one at Bryant Park. To accommodate the long lines, the vendor booths should have more room in between.

This was an Amazing store that had an unbelievable selection of everything! Staff was very helpful.
We had such a great time browsing through all the little tents and booths! We went for the tik tok viral Liquid S’more at Rubyzaar Baked and it was a solid 20/10!

We have been coming to this souvenir shop since 2011 and this store is one of the best gift shops in New York! They have awesome shirts, pens, much more and it is affordable for our budget. Plus the staff is warm and welcoming. I will definitely visit this place again the next time we head in New York.
I thought it was really cool, the people that worked there were very friendly, and I wish I got to spend more time there. Unfortunately, my 4 year old wasn’t interested at all so I didn’t get to stay long. I thought it would have been more kid friendly with fire trucks that kids could sit in or even a pretend fire truck like the one at the Children’s museum of manhattan on upper west side, which my son loves, but the one kid section was pretty lame for kids of any age.
Wonderful selection of obscure and foreign magazines, as well as imported notebooks. More convenient than Casa, for me— though I love Casa, too!
Me and my wife visited the store while we were in New York City and we definitely enjoyed out visit. There are two floors in this store, with an escalator you can take to the second floor. There are a lot of different products spread throughout the two floors. It's a cool store to walk through and look at the different Disney props in the store. Everything in the store looked organized and the place seemed clean as well. Definitely worth visiting if you are a fan of Disney at all.
I really appreciate this business. As many know, print media is in decline, causing many publications to shutter or become very difficult to find. The Magazine Cafe has opened my world view through its subscription service. As pretty much a shut in as a caregiver to my mother and throughout the pandemic, I can't state how much I appreciate this resource. A great store and great people! Go buy a magazine from this great little store!
The store is clean and organized, though some areas are a bit tight to get into and with the flow of constant foot-traffic, it was a bit difficult to move around. In general, the store is worth a visit to see all the product they carry, but nothing really sets this store out from other Disney stores that are far-less congested. I get that this store is directly in TIme's Square and the only thing I am giving it 4 stars for is the expectation that with the amount of people that go in and out, I'd like to see the layout of the store be a bit more open to accomdate the flow of shoppers. It would be very difficult to get strollers in and out of here, especially when the store targets the younger crowd.
Very cool store! Two stories. Escalator to top floor a must. Highly themed and organized areas. So many options! A Disney lovers dream. Store is very clean and has things that you can only find in store and not online.
Honestly, the best K-pop store I’ve ever been to. The staff are great, their social media presence is on point and they are always willing to answer a customer’s questions. The have great merchandise and the staff puts a lot of thought and love into their display. It really makes a difference when the people who work in the store are passionate about K-pop. K-pop Nara is not just a place to buy your albums, I think it creates a space for people to be themselves and make new friends.

I came to this store a few times before making my first purchase. I loved that they were open to help but also let me look around and ‘window shop’ lol. Finally, a few days ago I decided to stop by to originally look around with my daughter and nieces and the Stray Kids light stick was there…. How could I not? I’ve been searching everywhere for it and finally found it. I love how they make sure it works before purchasing. Upon taking it home (long story short - my batteries didn’t work) so I came back into the store for help. Prior to coming to the store, I reached out on IG and they are pretty active, I love that! When coming back to the store, they’ve tried many different ways to conclude that it’s in fact my batteries but wanted to make sure I didn’t leave with no solution and made sure of that. They are very active on social media, I wished to have found them sooner but now I cannot wait to see more SKZ merch come in. Once I have my wishlist of skz, I’ll start a new collection. Now I know where to go 😂

Small, 2 floor museum. Yet, it it full of history and artifacts. If you love firemen, firehouse, and / or firefighting, this is a must. I think all New Yorkers should go. Not expensive to enter. Not an all day thing but worth the trip. Keep your kids on a leash.
It's worth the visit! It's not a big fancy museum but it was a good addition to our trip. We enjoyed seeing the history of the fire engines.

This is the former FDNY Engine Company Number 30 in a renovated 1904 Fire House. It's sadly not ADA Compliant. You cannot navigate a wheelchair downstairs as the exhibits are very close to each other. I don't think a walker or wheeled walker can navigate the space. If you use a cane and have good agility the downstairs flooring is not an even, smooth surface. But there is an elevator. However you still have to use stairs to access the bathrooms on floor 1 1/2 landing. The stairs are evenly spaced and have a strong railing that was a banister to the 1st Floor. The bathrooms are not unisex.
They instruct you to tour the bottom floor then go to floor two. Chronologically you should see the pre and Colonial exhibit on Floor 2 first. The 9-11 room is downstairs and while beautifully done there is a jarring disconnect due to the museum's small size to stop on the subject of music then walk straight into the children's interactive exhibit immediately afterwards.
The Museum documents a variety of aspects of life with the predecessor and current FDNY. There are several antique vehicles and currently they have a reproduction on loan from Colonial Williamsburg. The Museum documents Marine Division, Marching Band and even the Emergency Kit for Last Rites in the Catholic Church so a priest just needs to have in person access.

Two adorable stores in one. Up front there is a card and gift shop where I bought a sweet birthday card made by a mico-publisher. It's a small quirky room that wouldn't be out of place in Vermont. The back is a café which looked nice, but I did not try. Pay attention to the address because it's hard to see from the street.

I am so happy I found this place online! Everytime I want a specific issue of a magazine I can’t find it locally. I have bought several specific magazines over time from Magazine Cafe as a result. I always get what I wanted/ordered very quickly and in good condition with the packaging they use. And I live on the other side of the USA! Thank you!

Zagoory is talented and friendly. An excellent shop that is guaranteed to exceed your expectations and leave you smiling.
Lots of albums, but the prices are a bit much. Most of the albums ranged from $25-35. Many were $7-$8 more than what I would see at k-pop stores in California.
Overall, the store is very spacious and has a lot to offer. A lot of BT21, lightsticks, and official merch. They had all the latest releases of albums too. I liked that they had a little notice of Jungkook coming to NYC in July 2023 :)

My daughter absolutely loves this stores!!! They have all the latest albums she wanted and she walked away with six of them.
The lady behind the counter wanted me to understand the Kids CAN NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. ABSOLUTELY NO TOUCHING OF ANYTHING." Nothing is cordoned btw and the guy, her colleague who showed us a few things DID TOUCH everything he showed, THE REBEL. I clinged a large bell with my wedding band. She flew out of her cave to make sure I know NO KIDS NOR ADULTS can touch anything. I get the protection part of it but if everything is out on the floor, dont let kids under 10 inside. Update she just sent me a message telling me to die and then blocked me. She truly is a gem.
Great place to find fun and unique gifts for the holidays. You can find great stuff here for everyone on your list. They also have drinks and snacks you get while you shop. Close to the movies and restaurants. Fun for the whole family. Just open for the holidays. Union Square does have a farmers markets during the summer you can check out.
Everyone went out of their way to help me find just the right gift for a friend. Very accommodating and couldn't have been nicer. I will definitely shop there again.

I had an unopened photocard set the I had hoped to exchange on the same day I purchased it. I asked if I went all the way back to the store since there is no contact information nor a proper policy on the website or in the store. I understand if they fear that I would be stealing but I would rather have that be stated in stores or on the site. It’s upsetting and inconvenient for me since I live so far. I purchased this item thinking it was a weverse. I was informed it was but after more research I found out it was not. I just wanted to exchange it

We patronize local small businesses. But we cannot support a business that only cares about making money and not their customers. Probably the most unfriendly toy store in NYC. Within 2 minutes of walking in, the sales rep stated “please don’t touch the toys unless you’re going to purchase it.” Why have it on display if we’re not supposed to touch it? The sad thing is, we were planning to purchase a few of those overpriced items to support the shop. Plenty of other toy stores in the city with better service. Very unfriendly.

Instead of blaming my wife, and my 3 year old son, why not take some ownership and accountability for the unfriendly service provided? If you’re not up to working X hours, paying the landlord, paying utilities, then why run a small business? You’re obviously very articulate so a 9-5 would suit you perfectly without all the burdens you’ve described. Why run a toy store if kids can’t play with the toys? Why would I ever want to come back and review the tapes? This is a snarky response and not customer service as I’m sure you’re more than aware of. Maybe get out of the retail business if you’re so worried about kids touching your toys in a toy store? Unlike you, we would happily take full accountability and purchase any items if they did get damaged. The owner was so welcoming and quickly guided me to the plants which would fit my requirements the most. In addition to my plants, I was able to buy pots and a stand. They have everything you could need. Cannot recommend enough.
This place is such a cool hidden spot in Manhattan. They have such a huge variety of magazines (including international magazines!!) which I found incredibly interesting. If you’re looking for a specific (recent) magazine from a specific country, this is your place. While they didn’t have the particular magazine I was looking for in store (Vogue Japan March 23), the employee working inside was very helpful and directed me toward their website where I was able to order it easily. I don’t live in NYC, so while there was a pick up in store option, I chose to have it delivered. Even if you’re unable to come to the store, I would definitely check out their website!

I placed an online order for a single issue of a particular magazine, and received an automated confirmation saying the order had been received, and an additional notification would be sent when the order shipped. I waited 5 days and did not receive a notification of shipment. I sent an inquiry to the email address listed on their website asking for a status update on the order. The following day, I received an automated notification that my order had been cancelled, without any explanation or response to my inquiry.
Maybe folks have better luck with in-store purchases? Cannot recommend online ordering at all.

Very cute small place to pick up kpop goodies for decent price. A lot of items that you purchase will come with free posters and photo card! Definitely would recommend this place if you are a big kpop fan!
Curation at this shop is outstanding. Gorgeous little place, and I spent way longer browsing than intended and wanted to buy everything. I came for the toys. Many of these are high-end brands, and I thought the prices were reasonable for what they have--for example, one extremely hard to find toy that is out of stock everywhere else and resells for huge markups. They had a gorgeous display of Maileg mice. Also loved the Ollie Ella dolls and Fagus trucks. All high quality, thoughtfully arranged, and the owners were lovely about explaining everything. The curation of books and clothes was super fun too. Perfect place to find a gift for the kids in your life.

To echo the review of another customer, I experienced the worst customer service in this store. Though it does carry lovely goods, the owners seemed hostile and were hovering over us as we shopped. Other parents in the store did not seem to be subjected to this behavior - the owner was happy to explain the back story of the brand’s design to another mum. Nothing but a cold stare at me and my daughter, despite my attempt to smile at her. It certainly felt as if we were being singled out and treated with more suspicion because we didn’t fit the aesthetic. I’m a single mum visiting NY, and while I am sometimes flustered, I am not inattentive or lax with my child. I had my hands full holding my stroller in the tight space, and my friend helped us put toys back that we weren’t planning on buying. She is 3 years old, in a store meant for children- she was excited, but not rowdy. She gently touched four toys at most, all of which we carefully placed back as I emphasized that we needed to leave the displays as we found them. The silent disapproval from the owner was overwhelming. Would not return or recommend, as it is clear that the owners can only be bothered to engage courteously with those they perceive to be a certain class/demographic. The space does not seem to be meant for actual children to enter.

This is a very nice museum! The staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly almost like your not in Nee York LOL just kidding. They have amazing artifacts here dating way back. I wished I had planned for a longer stay you need at least 2 hours to see everything.
Love this plant store! The plants are so healthy and well cared for. There are a number of varieties available, ensuring there is something for you no matter your lifestyle or budget. The owner is extremely warm and will happily walk you through your options and care instructions. Lots of cute planters available as well as some tea sets and other knickknacks.
Honestly I love the products. I’ve been here 3 times. One for a very expensive romper for my daughter before she was born and that time was pleasant enough. But as a mom now…I don’t know. The last two times I’ve went in I’ve felt the owner was cold, clingy and very strange. I had to leave my stroller outside because it’s a very tiny store and so I had to hold my daughter who is in the phase of wanting to run around everywhere. My girl was looking at things and I could feel the discomfort of the owner who annoyingly went to rearrange everything as my daughter touched it. I also felt watched and idk if it’s bc I’m black but that’s honestly how it felt. For the prices I’d just expect a warmer experience, not like I’m a nuisance when I’m spending a lot of money there. Won’t be going back sadly. They didn’t even acknowledge me leaving (bad customer service as someone whose worked a lot of retail) and when my daughter was having a meltdown I felt like they could’ve helped me check out faster so I could get out of there. Just not a positive experience as a mother.
Cute and organized shop in a convenient location. Nice workers and also good place to shop if you want to grab a coffee or hot chocolate as well since there's a cafe in the back
HIDDEN GEM!!! I have passed by this store several times and have been wanting to go in, but never had the time before today. I was searching for a plant for a good friend of mine and I also wanted to get a plant for myself. The owner, Sue, was so incredibly helpful! She pointed out several plants in my price range and found me the perfect gift (a gorgeous miniature red flower bush for my friend and a beautiful Guzmania for me!! I will definitely go back. It may be a small space, but it is filled with so many wonderful plants! Sue is also so extremely helpful! Highly recommend!! Thank you!!!
This place is so precious. Extremely good quality, great brands, great fit for soho and nyc in general. Love this place!!!!!!! It’s ideal for children and for adults shopping for children or with them. Such great quality stuff

We stopped in to MyCityOasis to buy one Snake plant and left with two beautiful Snake plants and one Peace Lilly. Soo, who I believe is the owner, was incredibly helpful. She educated my fiance and I on how to care for the plants and how we might propagate the plants. The quality of the plants is high and the prices are very reasonable.
I shopped here Sunday night, October 24th 2021. I enjoyed my shopping and prices were good. When I got home I realized I may have left the zippo lighter I purchased. I have been trying to call for days and I can’t get anyone on the line. If you see this please contact me. This was a gift for my brother and I will pay for you to ship it to me. Thank you!
I really am not pleased that they do not update their online ordering system timely. Many occasions I've wasted my time going through the ordering process only to be emailed one to two days afterwards telling me that the magazines were not available. Of course, they refund my card, but that's not the point.
Another negative thing is that they add additional costs to US magazines. The price is printed by the publisher on the magazine cover so I am sure it's illegal to charge a different price. I can understand marking up foreign magazine prices, but these are domestic magazines so what is the markup in price for?? I have a feeling they're giving themselves a tip because when one orders online there is an option to give them a tip! I've seen very presumptuous things in trying to get tips nowadays but this is really going too far.

This store is quaint and is acts as an entrance to a cafe of sorts. I did not investigate beyond a glimpse. This location has a decent selection of greeting cards. However, the loose decorative paper selection was limited due to the shop size.
There is a walk up to the shop. I'm certain if another entrance is available though the cafe with easier accessibility. One can see the 1 train Franklin station right across the street.
I recieved excellent service from the staff. My phone battery died using GPS to locate the store so one of their employees walked me outside and pointed in the direction to the train to reach another store. She even opened her phone to show me a map.
I can easily get turned around in lower Manhattan when street numbers turn into names, colors, etc.

I just received the promotion bags for my business after ordering them three days ago. They are fabulous! Jac took the time to go over the design and imprint with me. I can not wait to start giving them out out to clients.
Love this little place. Well actually it’s not so little. They have a nice dining section towards the back but the real secret is their amazing cafe stand which offers incredible baked goods including a vegan carrot pumpkin loaf which pairs quite well with their house blend drip coffee. Highly recommend this place.
I absolutely Love this store!!! Best unique artistic cards for every occasion. Gifts are also unique and thoughtful. Lots of powerful women's books, gifts for your someone who needs something new no one else will buy them. The sitdown in back is like stepping into another world. Coffee, treats; sweet and savory.

Can't say we went in this shop but my daughter's purse was stolen in TGI'S a block away on 16th Oct. Yesterday, I received a package through the post (im in England) which contained her purse, driving licence and EU medical card with a handwritten note from Billy at Playland gifts. He had found the purse in his shop and very kindly returned it! Will definitley visit on our next trip to NYC

Well where do I start, my first time in New York. I shop in different stores, but this one was one of a kind. The customer service was absolutely terrible. I have never been so discriminate because of my race and I have never been insulted with foul language. Only because I questioned a price they had given me and charged me more. But before that they had treated other customers very poorly as well. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. the other stores next to them were really nice. I gave them a one star just to leave my review.
