Great service! I got a flat tire so I had to get a new tire asap, but I was worried to get scammed because I didn't know anything about tires. But Nathan coomer was very helpful, he explained available tires for me and made it easy to understand the difference between tires and provided options for me. To be honest if it wasn't for him I would have ended up getting some cheap random tires from mom and pops shop. I would buy from here again.

Got a flat tire and needed it fixed asap. It was completely flat due to a nail. Called Tires Plus on E Fowler in Tampa because they were nearby and still open. Chris was super helpful over the phone and in person. It was just 35 minutes from closing time when we arrived but they still helped us out. We were the last customers and we had a long drive ahead. Thank you for the terrific service!

Patty is awesome! They were able to get me in within 24hrs. She explained everything to me and educated me on types of oil for my suv. They were quick and got me on my way! They don’t overcharge you like the dealership does!!!! Fair and good work.

I rarely write reviews but today I want to deeply express my gratitude to the whole team. I have been a customer for the past 7 years now and I can't say thank you enough for the amazing service, support and kindness. all those years. Dropped my car off yesterday after my batterie died on me and an auto store told me that the alternator was bad and needed to be changed. Due to the timing I was told that they would be able to check on it first today, which I completely understood. Received a call this morning that they checked everything, including the alternator. All was running fine. Picked up my car, asked for an invoice and was told I am good. Incredible. Was bummed that I didn't have any cash with me. For sure I will remember next time.
Even more reasons why I love supporting local businesses.

Through no one’s fault, my order (from 8/2023) was never fulfilled. A spontaneous request for review was sent to me. I left an unflattering review. Within hours, I received communication from Tire World requesting info, with assurances that the company wanted to make this right. My part was ordered, received promptly by Tire World, and installed the next day.
I believe in supporting local business and Tire World is a wonderful example of why everyone should do this.

The team, from Ryan to John, I mean the whole team were great. I called and talked to Ryan the first time and immediately I felt comfortable. They have great customer service skills. The car was taken care of in a timely manner. I was out of there within and hour. The new tires feel great and it is a smooth ride just like when I first bought the car. Thanks team, and I will definitely come see y'all again.

I've been coming to Tires Plus for at least 10 years and have found the service to be courteous and accurate. A special shout-out to Ryan and John Ortiz for their outstanding service. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

This place is amazing. Skip the big corporate stores and come here. I walked in on a random Thursday with a tire that was leaking air and they took great care of me. The staff is kind and I was in and out in 20 minutes with my tire patched and paid an incredibly reasonable price. I cannot recommend Tire world enough.

It took me a while to find a good place to take my car for service in this area(Temple Terrace.) I started going to the one on Fowler a few years ago and haven't been sorry at all. Good prices, great service, never try and sell me the store. A++.

They Use old parts and charge FULL STICKER , and then his sugar coat it to make it sound like you got the best deal in the world

John, the store manager, was absolutely fantastic to work with. Very trustworthy, genuine, and he walked me through exactly what was going on with my car and the plan of action. He made the process and stress of having my check engine light flash on while I was headed to work a much easier process. Will definitely be returning and requesting to work with John.

They don't have the ability to screw things in. I have only taken my car to this Tires Plus for it's maintenance. I go here because it is near my work and where I live. I wish that they had the ability to do basic things such as screwing things in tightly.

The first time I went here they did not screw my oil cap on tightly so the entire oil tank emptied out. I only realized it later after the engine gave warnings. So I was driving my car without oil because of their inability to screw my oil cap in.

I took it back and they replaced the oil and screwed the cap. I went back months later for a free oil change but they didn't screw in one of the the oil access cover screws fully so the screw fell out. I also, naively, trusting them did not double check their work. So I was driving around with the oil access panel ready to fall off.

So although they are conveniently located near my job/where I live, they do not have the ability to screw things in. So if you get anything done here that requires something to be screwed in, ask them if they actually screwed everything in tightly before you leave.

I think the manager Ryan is nice and helpful but the staff there don't understand the basics/aren't considerate of what their customers experience as a result of their negligence. Just now I went to get my car after they replaced the screw. I had to get in on the passenger side of the car because they parked the car so close to another car. I watched them backup the my very close to the other car. The other car didn't park itself close to my car, they chose to park my car that close to the one that was already parked.

1 star rating for inability to do the basics and one star added because they fixed it when I brought it back.

I had to bring my car back the day after it was serviced because the tech missed an important issue. I missed 2 days of work instead of the 1 I planned . But, their customer service is so top notch that I could not give a 1-star review. Nice mitigation, thank you.

Really great customer service and very efficient and fast. They knew how to mount and balance the tires on my Tesla and was able to get me in and out within twenty minutes. Also, Sam cracked jokes at the front desk and made my wait time go by even faster , just overall friendly people.

Quick oil change with no appointment. Sam was great and the service was prompt and I was made aware of some services my vehicle needs.

Very fair pricing & affordable rebuilding

The service is always great at this Firestone. Sam was very helpful and patient when booking my car repair service. He thoroughly explained each repair that was needed and worked with me to make sure that my car was functioning properly. I’m not an expert with understanding car parts so it was a blessing to have such a knowledgeable person help me understand the repair and the cost. Plus, Sam helped me to get bundle deals to save some money on the repair cost with my Firestone Credit Card. Great Service. Timely repairs. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend them for all you car repair needs.

This place is Terrible! I came to this place about 4 months ago. To get my transmission repaired and some upgrades to my antique car. The main transmission mechanic had me order all the wrong stuff and set up for my car. Everything was wrong. They kept my car for 3 months and scratched it. The lead mechanic was very disrespectful to the shop manager (Jewel) and basically chose to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. A Grown man having temper tantrums yelling cursing and not showing up for work to repair customers car. He did a horrible job on my car and installed all the wrong parts he requested me to buy and gave my car back to me scratched up running hot and leaking fluid and shaking literally. I could not return parts because they were installed (incorrectly. They cost me way more than what the repair would have been. They don't do any research on your vehicle or have any computer to diagnose anything they just basically guess work on your car and if it acts up after what they guessed it to be costing the customer thousands of dollars, they just have temper tantrums in broad daylight. I never received an apology or resolution for scratching my custom paint job. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and the lead transmission mechanic doesn't give a dam about you or your vehicle. The shop manager puts up with it because i think he may be scared or something. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET YOUR CAR DAMAGED AND SITTING OR HAVING TO KEEP BRINGING BACK GETTING TOWED AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! They're not worth the money, headache or potential charge.

This place tried to say that I have to replace my tie rods whenever I am going to replace the power steering motor when it's two different parts of a vehicle and they don't have anything to do with each other.
Edit: To Nicolas, I'm not going to email a flake email address and what I needed fixed on my girlfriend's vehicle is just the power steering motor and I know for a fact that tie rods and power steering motor are completely different from each other. I worked for a few years with a mechanic and I saw him install a power steering motor without touching the tie rods. The person I spoke with tried to scam me and my girlfriend and that's why I gave you a 1 star.

I've used their service twice and was treated to 5 star service both times. It's been about ten years since my first experience with them. That was when I had the pinion bearing go bad in my Chevy Silverado. I'm a mechanical person and I already knew the pinion bearing was bad, I was just looking for a quote to replace it. The owner test drove it and agreed, bad pinion bearing. But, couldn't give me a quote until he saw how the ring and pinion gears looked, as a bad pinion bearing will grind those gears out of spec. I got a call about 3 hours after dropping it off, "Good news, your ring and pinion gears are fine, you'll only need bearings replaced." Perfect opportunity to screw me and tell me the gears were trashed too. 10 stars for honesty.

Second experience was about 5 years ago when my daughters Ford Taurus transmission failed in the middle of traffic. Yikes! Had it towed there and found hydraulic pump had failed probably due to a major overheat condition that required replacement of the engine earlier.

Just a note for those that may not know, your engine coolant also cools your transmission. An overheat that destroys your engine will most likely destroy your transmission too. It just takes a bit of time for the fried clutches to start breaking up and fouling the hydraulic pump.

Bottom line, I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat if the need ever arises again. Fingers crossed I don't, but I'd recommend them to a friend every time.

I have to give them 3 stars. But honestly, it should be closer to 1 star. Matter of fact, I'm changing it to 2 stars and here's why. I scheduled a appointment for 8 am for an oil change and to install a compressor belt. Now, they said they had to send off for the belt. It took a couple of hours for the belt to come, cool. It took 5 minutes to put the belt on. The problem I have is, they let the car sit there waiting on the belt to arrive, and didn't do the oil change. That's bad management, and that's why their rating is so low. It's all about management.

I took my two thousand and seven honda accord to george to have him Look at what I thought was my transmission. He just drove it, And every other diagnostic procedure he could do. As a woman, We usually get taken advantage of because most mechanics thinks were idiots.

He had my card. Is they spin an exceptional amount of time They spent And didn't charge me a dime. I highly recommend them, They are honest, Professional, And very easy to work with

I purchased a battery for my car. It didn't work correctly, so they replaced it. Then, it still didn't work correctly. They told me to take it to the Toyota dealership to get the codes read. I did and that costs about $200. Toyota told me that Firestone sold me a battery that doesn't work in my car. Firestone refuses to refund me for having to get the code read (though it was their fault that they sold me something that doesn't work for my car.) I had recently spent quite a bit there, and it would have been in their best interest to make it right. I will not be returning.

Edit: They did end up making it right. It took a lot of time, waiting, and contacting the company. Increasing from one to three stars for making it right.

I used to be in the business of car, truck and equipment repairs. From a technician to a regional manager. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Jason was very nice honest and explained everything to a tee. Grady the transmission builder and trouble shooter was an expert. He could articulate exactly what was happening with my transmission and what and and how it needed to be troubleshooted. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong and were to look and test. Jason said they may be able to check it out over a 3 to 5 day window. He called me after two days and the transmission was fixed. He explained what was wrong and my problem was fixed. I have been building this show car for 7 years. 1966 chevelle convertible Resto Mod. The repair cost was very reasonable and I felt very comfortable with the whole process. Knowing what I know and how I conducted business in this field years ago I will be bringing my car and family vehicles to them for repairs.

After getting an entire transmission rebuild at another prominent Tampa transmission shop, based on a friend's recommendation, and having the problem re-occur less than a year later, George and his team at Tampa Trans fixed the *actual* issue with honesty and integrity and my car/transmission is running better than it has in over a year. Thanks, George :)

Pretty rude on the phone and hung up on me when I wasn't even finished discussing my options. 2003 BMW 330i zf transmission repair and couldn't even quote me on repairs. Expected me to tow car in just to get looked at. Not the way you treat people that need assistance with repairs.

Everyone here is an angel sent from heaven, when i tell you i came straight from the dealership with a nail in my tire they were asking for $430 in total.. called tire world & they patched it up thanks to jose for just $20. Even tried fixing my oil change notification on my car that the dealership failed to reset. Will definitely be coming back for absolutely everything, everyone was super nice & understanding. took jose less than 5 minutes to fix the nail in my tire.

Worst transmission shop in Tampa. Carl Owens got my vehicle towed while he was trying to repair transmission. He refused to pay the towing company to retrieve the vehicle or reimburse for impound fees while vehicle was under his control

I am pass happy with the services completed on my Vehicle. John & Jason were always very honest didn’t make any promises & told me exactly what they could & couldn’t provided me. They were friendly & communicators that stayed on top of their jobs.
My car had to return back not for something on their part & they fixed that as well. Now my car has not given me any troubles & is running like it should.
If you want to be treated with respect & provided honesty not just milked for your money this is the place - no joke!

This place is just amazing Jason was so straight forward & communication was top notch. & my car has been running very lovely. This is a great family owned honest place to do business with.

I have tried multiple times to get these guys to check out my AC to see if there is a leak or what the issue is with it, but the guy is never there, he leaves at three or 3:30 PM, the one and only guy. So I’m sure not too many people are going to them because there’s no time to get your stuff fixed there. You have to be there between 9 AM and 3 PM is what they tell me. Either that or they don’t like my skin tone and wish not to look at my car. How many cars do you think this guy fixes on a six hour shift?

Very disorganized, chaotic and untrustworthy.

They diagnosed my vehicle 3 times because they couldn't remember they already did it nor did they keep paperwork of even doing it.

Said they could work on my vehicle if I drop it off, but after several days of not tending to it I had to pick it up as they said it would be a week before even looking at it.

Although I even called way ahead of time to confirm they could and they said "yes" after checking their schedule.

Very disappointed.

Have helped us through two Volkswagen Jetta issues. Been super friendly and helpful. Even though I know nothing about cars they break down the issues to where even I could understand. And while the whole place is super professional and great with the service, I want to give an extra shoutout to Jason, who has been instrumental in both of the car repairs.

Called with several questions and concerns regarding my transmission. To make a long story short, Jason was able to assist me over the phone and didn’t try to sell me on any parts or services. We spoke on and off for a few days until the proper repair was made. Parts and availability were a major issue but we were able to take care of it after a lot of diagnosing and effort. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them as they will not try to sell you on things you don’t need.

I went to many repair shops through my life, but this one is far most welcoming, relatively clean (comparing with others just one was cleaner than this one), organized place. I really appreciate their website, where I was able to make my appointment and was taking care of right away, even I walked in 45 minutes prayer of my appointment time..! John was very friendly, understanding of our situation, forward with all informations, including prices and discounts and helped us in our rough time by fixing our issue with friendliness and smile - definitely we recommending this place..! 👍👍👍👍👍

Absolute WORST decision to take my car here. We were in need of immediate help fixing our clutch so we googled places near us and The Transmission Shop was the only place available to help immediately. We took our car here and the owner told us that we would not be able to drive it to any other shop without risking further damage. With this in my we agreed to allow for them to do the service, but requested constant communication. The owner promised the car would be done by Monday - two days after he received the car. By Monday at 6PM, we heard nothing about our car. I texted and called with no response, but let it go assuming it was just going to take a little longer and they would get back to me tomorrow. By Wednesday, I had texted and called multiple times with no response. Thursday, I called off a *67 number to get them to answer and they said the car would be done that night. We heard nothing that night. Friday he texted us informing us he got the wrong part but would fix things by Saturday. We told him the car HAD to be done Saturday, he said it would be done by noon. SURPRISE, it still wasn't done at noon and by 6PM we decided to show up at the shop and require the car to be done. When we arrived, the car was still up on the hydraulics and not put back together. We did not leave the shop until midnight that night. On top of that they charged us $300 over the quote and never communicated with us about the extra charges as requested in the beginning. But that's not even the worst part! We got our car back and noticed we only had 20 miles until empty even though we dropped the car off with half a tank. After they specifically told me I couldn't make it to another shop they took the car over 100 miles for their own errands and enjoyment. After searching my car, I found sand all over the back seat, a receipt from shopping at Shoe Carnival, a pair of shorts, white stains on my interior, scratches on my trunk, and worst of all CONDOMS in the back seat. When confronted, the owner simply said he was gone on Monday when this all must have happened. Taking our car here has costed us a fortune, on top of what they charged us for "clutch repair", we had to take it to another shop to get the under panels put back on properly, we took it to a body shop to get the scratches all over the trunk repaired, and we had to get it detailed to remove the sand and disgusting white stains from the interior. Please avoid this place at all costs!

Transworld Transmission will offer you a good price, but I don't feel their work is quality. They rebuilt my transmission two years ago, and, I have had to take my car back recently. The work that they recently did, was inadequate, and I have to await their return from vacation. I do not recommend them. I am only going back because they rebuild my transmission 2 years ago and need to make it right.

Loud music I can't even hear anything, cars are blocking the road, they have stray cats running around and tried to charge me $210 to diagnose the problem with my car??? After I declined the "offer" they started to get aggressive and claim they are very good at what they do and $210 is super cheap to what they usually charge others.

The people there were overall just rude. They were yelling and it didnt seem like they were getting much done. They made some comments that made me uncomfortable. Not only that but I noticed they were parking on the street. Not only is it against the law but it's very dangerous and they could potentially put lives in danger.

Really bad experience with them. Paid them over a 1000 for a used transmission that they say they get with 50 thousand miles. May check engine light with not go off and the code was a sensor in the transmission. Took the car back 3 times and they still didn't fix . 8 months later the transmission went out again. Make Transworld your last stop .

$140.- for a "diagnosis" only; are you kidding me or this is a new way of assault??? I work for my money, not find it on 🌲 🌲... Fix everything in need and I'll gladly pay you.

They block the road and yell at you when you wait for them to move. Bald short guy in the tan van swore at me, and that speaks volumes of their business.

One of the only garages for auto repair where people are honest. So often mechanics try to overcharge you or just plain rip you off, but here they tell it like it is and have great prices. Father and son shop that's really great to do business with.

Awesome service! George was very nice and very easy to talk to about the issues my truck was having. These guys know exactly what they're talking about. Brought my truck in with a destroyed transfer case. They had a new one in and had me out the door in 3 and a half days. Definately reccomend!

Can't go any lower, I give it 0/5. Owner come across rude, after paying $1500 one year guraguara. 7 months later transmission fluid came out the stick and cause my vehicle to catch on fire, and refused to fix the transmission. Location uses used parts and rebuilt converters but still charged regular price. After dropping it off to get check , mechanic decide to blame the transmission problem on the motor, saying the head gasket is bad.. I stop by the same day and pick up the vehicle, left the vehicle on infront of the store for over 1 hr. Never overheat ,the owner said I have to talk to my mechanic cause he probably wrote the comments on the wrong paperwork. So after all this I be taking this issues to the dmv and making sure no else get f**** by this people... Go somewhere else...

Great lil shop very knowledgeable and honest helped me out with my truck after the dealer said I needed a new engine $5,700.00 went to there shop after be referred there and he put a new timing belt ($400.00) and my truck ran like new. Definitely recommend this shop!!!

Transmission Exchange rebuilt my 1987 Lincoln Towncar transmission 12 years ago,and recently installed a shift kit in my 2001 Ford Focus.The shift kit improved my Focus and my 87 Lincoln is still going strong,AWESOME
