We came on a Saturday at 2:20PM just before closing (3PM) and the waitress, Pooja, was kind enough to seat us! She was very kind and friendly. The food came out relatively quick and was very fresh. We both got the big breakfast and it was scrumptious. This location is great and even has parking, although spots are limited there is street parking just beside. Highly recommend this location and very grateful to the server.

I haven't been for brunch in a while and I'm so happy that when I got the chance to go I chose Cafe Lawnder. The food is fantastic and the whole place has a great vibe. We got the french toast, beef kebab shakshuka, turkish coffee and lawnder iced tea. I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu!

Burger juicy and good. Don’t add any extra topping, you’ll break your jaw.
That said, they should add a little more sauce.

My partner asked for hard fried eggs, both side, no runny yolk, but they brought runny yolk and had to re-do it. They did that fast, but still.

By the way, this place is very busy and loud, so keep that in mind before coming here.

Cafe Landwer’s always a great spot to have brunch/late night snacks for my coworkers and I. I almost always get the Landwer Shakshuka- its quite filling and tasty! The challah bread is always baked perfectly and the staff members are always a delight!

The only cons are service may be a little slow on the busier days as expected, so just beware of the timing if you’re in a rush!

Love love love!
The food was delicious and came out so fast, the ambiance was so nice and everything was clean ! My server was so sweet and fast and everything wad perfect. We came for my partners birthday and everything exceeded my expectations! The milkshakes are so yummy too! They were also so accommodating even when we called to let them know we would be running late. 100/10 would recommend and come again!

Thank you!!

My daughter and I had a fabulous brunch at Old School today. Due to an intolerance, I asked for the poached egg to be subbed out for smoked salmon on the avocado toast. The chef made it like it was one of their signature dishes. So fresh and delicious. My daughter said Benny & the Jets was cooked to perfection; very flavourful. The service was exceptional too!

First time there. Cool items on the menu. Had the Sinia Kebab that was delicious. The fresh bread & roasted vegetables were the highlights. The kebab was a bit over cooked. My sister's salmon was good. The cob salad was disappointing because there was no lettuce in it. Usually when you think salad, you think lettuce. The Sangria was delicious. Definitely recommend it.

My favourite brunch spot, it is open from morning till 8 pm. Best brunch and reasonable price. I have been with friends and family, everyone loves it. Great for the summers, if the restaurant is too busy, you can get brunch boxes for take out, very convenient. All the menu items are super delicious and the deserts are recommended.

My first time here & certainly will not be my last! I went in knowing I wanted to try the buttermilk pancakes but I ended up getting the brunch along with it. It was soo much food but I ate it all. I surprised myself but that's how amazing it all tasted. The scrambled eggs were exactly how I like them and the pancakes did not disappoint. Excellent customer service!

Love their baguettes, chocolate almond croissant. Their brioche is also delicious, soft & fluffy. With this well balanced buttery texture😋😋Mmmm.
The highlight of this cafe is the service from Eda. She always provided excellent service & big smile to her customers 🥰🫶🥐🥖🍰

Came here for breakfast. I was first looking at the menu and the online version of the menu. Both Manu are different and didn’t really match so we decided to order with a server. I got scrambled egg avocado croissant (13.50), choco-nana buttermilk mini pancakes (14.25) and coffee (3.50).
The cuts and presentation is amazing. Those the waffle fries was over cooked and very hard . The croissant you have to eat using fork and knife as it’s cut fully in half and you can not hold it in your hard it will fall apart.
Pancakes are okay nothing special to be honest they are not sweet and a light drizzle of chocolate sauce on in.
Coffee was actually good and really enjoyed it.

Popped in for breakfast as it was very convenient next to our hotel. Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The service was great, server checked on us but didn’t make us feel rushed at all and the food came out promptly. The food was great, if you like eggs benedict I highly recommend the eggs benedict on the croissant, it was so good! And the crushed potatoes were fabulous. The only thing I would have changed is for the food to be a bit warmer, wasn’t very hot when it came out. My daughter got the London Fog to drink and loved it, my coffee was top notch. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast in downtown Toronto!!

I always wanted to try this restaurant.

I was happy I stopped by this morning for a quick bite to eat. It's by reservation but since it was just myself I was able to get a table quickly! Bonus!!

The amount of food is decent. The waitress was extremely friendly. And she sold me on the brownie .. it was the best brownie I ever had. I did get the beef sandwich to go. 😆 🤣 it was not for me! My husband did enjoy every bite of that sandwich.

I would go again!!

Cute little brunch spot with beautifully plated food and drinks! About 20-30$ per person for food, more with drinks. Decent size portions for food, service is very kind and accommodating. It does get busy though, so keep that in mind when coming in for lunch hours.
Overall a pleasant experience!

Nice cafe with a variety of food options. The waffle fries are tasty but it gets a little heavy at the end. The mini pancakes are a little smaller than what I was expecting but the overall portion is good.

One thing to note is that they seem to have a bit of ventilation issue and you’d smell like food after for a while.

Located next to the lake, Music Cafe Garden offers a delightful escape from the bustling city streets. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming café on a rainy Saturday morning, and it quickly became a favorite spot for a leisurely brunch.

Upon entering, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm smiles of the friendly staff. The cozy ambiance, adorned with traditional cafe decor - think Friends Central Perk - instantly put me at ease. The café's pet-friendly policy was a bonus, allowing me to enjoy my brunch accompanied by our furry friend.

The menu boasts a variety of tempting options, from classic breakfast sandwiches to decadent chocolate muffins. I opted for the chocolate muffin, which was moist, rich, and paired perfectly with my hot chocolate.

What sets Music Cafe Garden apart is its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Each dish is prepared with care. The attentive staff ensures that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of, adding to the overall experience.

As the weather warms up, I look forward to returning to Music Cafe Garden to indulge in their tempting gelato offerings. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy brunch with friends or simply craving a delicious treat, this hidden gem in Toronto is not to be missed.

Overall, my experience at Music Cafe Garden was nothing short of delightful. I highly recommend paying a visit and experiencing the warm hospitality and delectable fare for yourself.

I’ve been here a few times.

The first time I came here I was on a food tour with my cousins and we were only limited to beverages and the pancakes (highly recommended). Those items alone made me want to come back and try the rest!

This restaurant has a nice ambiance and vibe. Service is good and the food is great!
And Again …. The Pancakes!!!!

My subsequent visits I tried different items and I have yet to be disappointed. The flavours go together so well. And once again… the pancakes. I have made sure every visit to have the pancakes. I have also made a few friends and family members addicted to the pancakes. So if you take anything from this review, pancakes.

I love that they have a huge beverage selection, however keep in mind some items are occasionally unavailable at the time of ordering due to selling out or out of season.

Some other great items are their croissants & gourmet sandwiches. Waffle fries are also a must.

I highly recommend this restaurant!
Bon appetite.

Sooo Delicious!!! Different than your regular brunch, definitely worth a try. The wait is a little long as many people go there but the food is worth the wait.
I've only tasted the brunch menu so I can't speak about other items. I strongly recommend trying their brunch. One of the best ones I've ever had.

Not worth the experience. We ordered their croissant Benedict, their croissant was cold and was definitely not made on the same day. Their kabab bowl was disappointing as well. There was half an onion in it to make the bowl to have the illusion that there was a lot of food inside but it's not. The waiting list system they used was not very efficient. The time estimate was not accurate (30 minutes longer) and they only give you 5 minutes to get to the restaurant or else the table gets cancelled. Wouldn't recommend.

Visited Arvo Coffee in Toronto's Distillery District and was impressed. The cozy, rustic-modern cafe has friendly staff and excellent coffee. Their signature latte and fresh pastries stood out, though seating can be tight during peak times. A great spot for quality coffee and a relaxed vibe, despite the occasional crowd. Worth a visit for coffee lovers and those exploring the area.

I had coffee and toast, and it was honestly amazing. The place was comfortable, and the staff was sufficiently nice. I think their food and coffee quality is what makes the difference. I would definitely recommend and will go back when I'm in the area.
Lovely place. The coffee is great (and affordable) and the barista is very friendly. The location is also amazing, just across the street from the Music Gardens.

PS: my only suggestion? Please include at least one vegan option.

Excellent food. Good service. General atmosphere is good but washrooms were smelly and unpleasant.

Overall delicious and great value. Would recommend Kim chi fries and the crispy taters! The mini pancakes were great just wish we could swap flavors of them in the brunch!

Popular brunch/lunch cafe that serves up unique brunch plates and a wide variety of drinks.

Walked in for lunch, cafe was full of patrons. You write your name and phone number on the paper waitlist.

We ordered the Pulled Pork Brunch plate with tofu fries. It tasted good and easily shareable dish. Sukiyaki beef pasta was amazing. The Rose Iron tea and Creme Brulee coffee also tasted hot and great.

Cafe was clean, decor was contemporary. Background music was a bit loud.

Servers were good. However, service was slow as they prioritized delivery/takeout orders over dine in.

Also, your clothes may smell like kitchen grease as they have an open kitchen.

I recently visited this well-known restaurant, excited to try their famous brunch, especially the pancakes and chicken and waffles that everyone raves about. The service was alright, but honestly, the food didn’t live up to the hype. The chicken was dry and the waffles were disappointingly mushy. The pancakes were just okay, nothing special. Maybe it was just an off day, but I was a bit let down considering all the great things I’d heard.

We live in the US, but love going to De Mello's for coffee when we're in Toronto! They make a lovely espresso, and have a great selection of coffee beans, including a number of light roasts. The staff is super friendly, and knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. They also have coffee gear, so you can pop in if you forgot to pack Aeropres filters or other gear.

I saw a blueberry latte here on social media because I am someone who loves to try specialty coffee, so I came here by taxi.
Perhaps due to weekdays, the store is not very crowded. I chose a position by the window, and overall it is quite comfortable.
The prices of coffee and bread are not very cheap, but the taste of latte still surprises me. It has a strong blueberry flavor and is my favorite fruit flavored coffee.
It would be better if bread could be heated
What a delightful cafe. Chill cozy vibes in the morning and neat eclectic atmosphere in the evening. And the scones. So good!

Gourmet Flat White in the Distillery District

Made a worthwhile stop at the Distillery Winter Village over the weekend. Couldn't resist treating myself to a superb gourmet coffee at highly rated Arvo. The venue, quaint and cozy offers both indoor and outdoor seating with simple yet organized decor.

Opted for the Flat White, and it easily ranks among the best I've had recently. The espresso boldness, combined velvety milk at the perfect temperature, gave the wake up I needed. The friendly service and efficient coffee preparation pace added to the positive experience. I plan to return, perhaps after the festivities, for a leisurely sit-down, exploring their food offerings while immersing in the atmosphere.

Great baristas, nice location, just don't come here at lunch on a weekday! It gets absolutely overrun by local high schoolers and ruins the atmosphere🙄 plus the number of people sitting on the floor blocking exits etc. creates a serious safety issue. Not to mention the noise, the garbage they leave behind, and the graffiti they carve into the tables.

This was such a fantastic place to stop by and warm up in. It has a pretty cool atmosphere with a lot of sports jerseys and memorabilia for sale. When you walk in tucked away on the back left side you'll see a really nice coffee bar with some seats and wall tables.

I tried the cortado and the flavorful taste was so good. I tried a sweet creamy coffee mixed with an espresso. I ended up asking and purchasing a bag of the coffee included in my review pictures that I ordered. They have a pretty diverse range of beans and types of coffee which goes a long way in coffee bars. The staff explained that they get their coffees from around the world.

The prices were quite fair and I'm always happy to pay for a good taste or flavor. The service was quick and efficient and quite friendly. A great place to stop anytime but more so on a cool winter evening.

Ordered from Uber Eats.
First time ordering from here and probably the last.
NOT WORTH THE PRICE!

10 baby spinach leaves, 1/4 of an avocado with some feta on top, 2 pieces of bacon, some scrambled eggs and a tiny cup of "fruit" that contained a cube of watermelon, 3 blueberries and 1 grape for $19.99 .. I know it's supposed to be a "side" serving, but come on.. for the price???? I would have even understood if I got a whole avocado, even a small one, seeing how prices for them are insane, but they gave me a quarter, if that.
I feel what they offered isn't worth what I got. Just disappointing.

Also ordered a Big Breakfast for $21.79 that came with soggy bread, cold eggs and dry potatoes. Oh, and they forgot the syrup for the pancakes and the ham slices were cold cut deli type.

This location leaves much to be desired.

Spend your money elsewhere.
Super good and fresh bakery items!! Very high-quality maintained shop. Friendly and helpful customer service. Cappuccino was fantastic!

I recently celebrated my birthday brunch at Old School, and it was a delightful experience. The ambience, both indoor and outdoor seating, was charming. Outdoor diners are provided blankets for added coziness, which was a thoughtful touch. The food was exceptional; the breakfast sandwich stole the show with perfectly cooked eggs, avocado, and layers of flavor. The hot chocolate was the best I’ve had so far. The chicken and waffles were decent, with the chicken being perfectly cooked, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. Our server, Isaiah, deserves a shoutout for his attentive service. They even have a merch shop with in-house-made habanero sauce. I couldn’t help but notice the tempting blueberry pancakes on another table, although we were already full. I will definitely try them next time. The total cost was around $50 including tax, felt reasonable for such a wonderful culinary and atmospheric treat.

Atmosphere is very cozy. Very neat and clean place to visit.
I enjoy their music and my drink with my partner ❤️
The food didn’t really taste good for the price they charge. I ate my sand which with the for and knife they gave me and half way through I discovered Jaír in my food and lost my appetite. Latte was good though would be weary of the sandwich menu. I’d get drinks from there again but I’ll never eat here again after the hair in my food. Mentioned it and all I got was a “sorry”.

If you’re looking for a real croissant in midtown, this is the place you need to come. I could tell from one bite that they use quality ingredients. Staffs are friendly and the service is quick. They offer a variety of baked goods such as croissants, sourdough breads, sandwiches, danishes, tarts, quiches, cakes, cookies etc.

We tried some of their products below.

1. Plain Croissant : 4.5/5
2. Almond Plain Croissant : 4/5
3. Chocolate Almond Croissant : 5/5
- Just delicious. I've never tried the chocolate + almond combo before but they go really well together. Highly recommend.
4. Mustard Twist : 5/5
5. Vanilla & chocolate cookies : 4/5
6. Apple Almond Danish : 5/5
- The texture of baked apples and the layers.. everything about this danish was amazing. I usually don't like the taste of baked apples but this danish? Please try. If you ever see this danish in the basket, just get it. You won't regret it.
7. Pain Au Chocolat : 3/5

I recommend visiting in the morning if you’d like to try various pastries. And maximum 4 people are allowed in the store. I’ll definitely come back and try their cake menus too.

Excellent Service and delectable food in a cute atmosphere. We arrived early in the day and had no issues getting seated. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. Overall the food was great. All were delicious (I highly recommend the French toast) but the Belgian waffle was smaller than expected and therefor wasn’t quite filling. Good choice for those looking to have the punch of flavour but a smaller portion.

Please get an iced vanilla latte with soy milk at De Mello. The weather was a bit chilly the day I visited so I was originally thinking of getting a hot coffee but I’m so glad I got the iced one.

I actually tried both iced and hot. Both tasted good, but iced latte is more savoury and you can taste stronger vanilla than the hot one. It’s really good so that you won’t regret holding it even in the super cold weather. Me and my friend also tried their strawberry jam scone. Their scone is more on the moist side. I’d recommend them for a light breakfast menu.

What I really liked about this cafe is the cozy vibe you’ll only get at a local cafe and the well designed goods. For your information, we visited around 11 am and it was pretty busy at that time! The staffs are super friendly and easy to talk to. I think I’ll regularly come to this place over Starbucks from now on.
Such a pleasant surprise to find dessert that is actually yum in Toronto. Really lovely tarts - tried the pineapple mango coconut tart and the plum tart. The chocolate cake was yum too.

Croissants were okay. Maybe they’re better fresh.

One of my best smashed avocado toast with poached egg I've had so far. Veggie Sensei gives thumbs up 👍

Aussie magic was also very good. Cozy cafe. Lovely. Good service!

Poached egg was excellent and the yolk was dark orange colour flowing slowly mixed with the smashed avocado, SO GOOD!!
I am very happy for have found Jules Cafe while looking for Croissants in the neighbourhood. Pistachio and Almond croissant were amazing, fresh and plenty stuffed. I also tried the Focaccia and I never had one like theirs in Toronto. Definitely a place to return and that worth to pay a visit. Cheese croissant is also something else.
They are busy on the weekend’s morning and my suggestion is a takeout. Even though they offer a dine-in, ot is just two high chairs and no much room gor a group. In general, I am pleased and surprised with the quality and freshness of everything I ordered. The service was also amazing and fast.

First time at an Eggsmart. It did not disappoint. Honestly, I was quite surprised of how fast service was. Server was very efficient. The veggie omelet was pretty good and so was the coffee. And VERY well priced. 19.99 for a very satisfying lunch. That's very reasonable these days.
Delightful French bakery that I keep coming back to. Pistachio croissant and peach tart are made to perfection. There is generous amount of real pistachio in the croissant and not just some paste. Also tried almond croissant and plum-pistachio tart. Plum pistachio tart is a bit sour. We also had an americano an a cappuccino and they were fair

Disappointing coffee size and were shy on the whiskey cream. Flavour mediocre.

A lovely small theatre space to see dance and theatre. I have seen all sorts of great shows here over the years.

Jules Cafe Patisserie is a small and popular bakery on Mount pleasant. They are offering a variety of treats and breads. I recently bought from them a great sourdough ray bread that it was amazing. When it comes to the treats my favourite remains the pistachio fig tarts. It seems that they really know how to balance those flavours. The crust alone is so battery that it is worth each cents of the cake. I definitely recommend this place, but be careful on weekends it gets busy and they may run out of your favourite.

Great location but unfortunately did not enjoy the coffee as much. Ordered an iced latte and an iced americano that was very watered down.

A unique coffee shop with a one-of-a-kind interior. Nice little place to enjoy some chitchat with your friends, or just grab some coffee to go.

They also have a section in the back where you can but merchandise and coffee beans.

Staff are also quite friendly and welcoming.

Would highly recommend!

Buyer beware:

Waited 40 minutes for eggs, bacon and toast plate x2. Prioritized Ubereats over dine in customers.

Food came out unbelievably bad:
1. Turkey bacon was half raw, half cooked. (See Photo 3)

2. Everything had bacon grease all over it! The fruit bowls, the plates, it was all gross and greasy. Who wants a greasy fruit bowl and toast? (see Photo 4)

3. Poached eggs were so overcooked they were hard even though we ordered medium/runny.

The eggs were sent back and when we got new poached eggs, one of them was not even servable. Completely unbelievable. (See Photo 2)

4. Eggs had hairs in them. (see Photo 1)

5. Home fries were half hard and undercooked and half cooked.

The server was a blonde woman who helped us out and apologized but the cooks and manager obviously didn't care whatsoever, sending out terrible items TWICE. Could be unsafe to eat undercooked bacon or food with hairs.

I worked in the food industry for 5 years and if I did any of this I would have been written up, sent home or fired. Seems like a systematic problem here of people not caring and a lack of accountability.

I would not recommend this spot to go to for breakfast with your family and kids.

This cafe is in a great location. We took our coffee and bagel accords the road and had it with a view of the water. The staff were friendly and there are some good value breakfast/ lunch deals I will return for some time.
I had an incredible experience at this theatre. I hope for more contents like this in the future!

How am I only finding out about this place now?! The paste rows are amazing. The croissants are super flaky and buttery. It’s making me hungry just thinking of them now. I also tried the quiche, it was good and had big chucks of broccoli but probably not something I’d order again. That being said I’d definitely come back for the croissants again anytime!

Great experience. Erica did an amazing job helping me out with my order! Sadly, the upstairs seating area was quite warm. I had to take off both my jacket and sweater to feel comfortable.

PS. Saw this pair of cute Swedish Shepherds.

Great quality coffee and very interesting store for sport lovers. The patio is very basic though and a little touchup would make it more convenient and enjoyable!
Arena is comfy coffee shop in maple leaf merchandise store. Environment is nice, staff is friendly. Sadly, my order was done with mistake, but barista without hesitation solved the problem. Btw, They serve rich pilot coffee beans.

Delicious salmon fumé ! Chill vibe 😏
Beautiful modern theatre space, nice green room. Could use a second washer dryer for larger productions. And why is the main theatre painted dark blue? The patio and cafe are amazing and have WiFi (which is sometimes spotty). Staff is friendly and helpful.

The book launch party of my debut novel The Oyster Thief was held at The Theatre Center. The staff did a terrific job and all went smoothly. The space itself is cozy, reasonably priced, and accessible by public transit. The vibe is artistic and creative. Highly recommended for events and event-goers!

To anyone without a deep connection to the emotion of music, this might simply look like a somewhat pretty garden but nothing more. Having an appreciation for the piece it was inspired by will add a whole new dimension to its features. It will delight your soul.
The staff are friendly and super helpful. It's a fantastic venue for day long workshops with a cafe that invites creative group or solo table work, a roof patio, capacity for intimate lectures and discussions, and a grand studio for theatrical needs too. The interior design is simple and elegant.
