The place brings a fresh face to Sydney. A walk here makes me feel like a tourist in my own city. The eatery is a bit pricey for the quality of food. I suggest eateries in Darling Quarter which are very close by. Those are more delicious at a comparable price.

Great location with Sydney view, staff very professional and friendly and the food is outstanding! Love the deserts, as in for lunch I strongly recommend the swordfish grilled which is perfectly cooked (like medium) , the most delicious fish I have ever had BUT when I visited on the following day week since my first visit they have changed the swordfish grilled and added some very bad and extremely spicy sauce, such a shame, I was very disappointed and never returned here since then.
I have attached pictures, the one that has the orange colour sauce was the great one I had
was called in the menu “Grilled swordfish, braised pepperonata squid , red capsicum sauce” and the one that has ravioli is the one bery spicy with separate sauce. The waitress was nice to warn me in advance to take the sauce separately

Great location, sitting on the patio is a must! Wouldn't say it's worthwhile sitting anywhere else as the food is good, but doesn't match up to the stunning location looking over Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge. We were there during Vivid and it was a great view point to sit and watch the Harbour and surroundings light up.

Service was F- grade, constantly changing waiters, slow to take orders, top up drinks, and staff weren't knowledgeable on the menu or wine list. Pretty disappointing really as it could have been a very memorable dining experience if the service was up to par.

The Gardens @259 is definitely one of the best eateries in Sydney for breakfast and lunch. Bips the manager and her amazing team are the warmest and the most welcoming customer service professionals you will ever meet, they make you feel at home from the first instance. Ollie the chef serves up only the freshest ingredients and caters to your every taste.
What can I say I loves this place ,great food awesome people Saaz serves up amazing coffees .
Definitely 5 stars come and try it.
Great service, every time I go to Sydney this is my go to. Eggs always cooked to perfection and incredibly healthy. Attentive staff that serves you with a smile! Great for business meetings.

Recently discovered this place and their amazing salad bowls. Tasty, large portions, fresh ingredients, and reasonable prices (given this is Sydney CBD). Ignore their low rating on Google as that is simply not a fair reflection of this place right now and is far superior to those canteen places nearby where you pay $16 for mainly noodles.
I've so far tried their falafel salad (with addded chicken) and poke bowl.

I don't know why people from Sydney complain about this place. I think it's a great nightclub. I've been on fridays and saturdays, different genres of music, but I've had fun on both nights. I've never had an issue with the staff or the bouncers in this nightclub. I think as long as you're enjoying yourself and not acting like a complete drunken fool you won't get pestered by the bouncers.

Dining at Cafe Sydney was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The highlight of our meal was definitely the salmon, which was hands-down the best I’ve ever had; it was perfectly cooked and flavored to perfection. The drinks menu was equally impressive, offering a superb selection that complemented our meal beautifully. And the view? Simply stunning, providing a breathtaking backdrop that greatly enhanced our group’s dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch food and service with a view that’s second to none!

Had an excellent lunch at Cafe Sydney and what has compelled me to write a review was the excellent service. Every single person we encountered was attentive, gracious, and kind. They went above and beyond for my mom's 70th birthday lunch and we are so appreciative. It was incredibly busy and they made it all seem effortless. On top of that the food is absolutely delicious and the view is incredible.

Thank you especially to the gentleman who ensured we had extra room around our table to accommodate our baby (we didn't even ask) and for making my mother feel so special.

My recent visit to Cafe Sydney was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled near Circular Quay, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, perfectly complementing its outstanding service and culinary delights.

The menu impressed with a variety of options catering to diverse tastes. I opted for the Barramundi, beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. My husband savored the Berkshire Pork Belly, juicy and succulent, showcasing the chef's expertise. Additionally, the Octopus I ordered was divine, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

Not to be overlooked, the dessert was a highlight of our dining experience. The Hazelnut dessert paired with ice cream was an absolute delight, offering a sublime ending to our meal. Our friend enjoyed the Lamb Cutlet, which was equally praised for its flavors and preparation.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful kids' meal options. It's rare to find that caters so effectively to children without compromising on quality. Even the Fish and Chips from the kids' menu proved to be an excellent choice, showcasing their commitment to excellence across all dishes.

While my photos may not capture the full splendor of our meals, I cannot recommend Cafe Sydney enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor, make sure to add this gem to your Sydney itinerary for an unforgettable dining experience that combines the best of Australian cuisine with iconic views.

If you want to have watered-down drinks that are very expensive and food, that is also very expensive. Then I recommend IVY. It took 40 minutes for pizza....

The drinks were so watered down, and they don't pour one standard shot, its more like 3/4 of a standard shot, and then they charge 5$ extra

Whilst we did have a great evening here to see Paul Van Dyk I do concur the bouncers are overzealous. My partner had not had much to drink and was pulled aside as soon as he walked out the male toilets. He was completely confused why and was then asked how much he had to drink and was allowed back in. I would have been most upset if he had been kicked out given I would have been left in the club on my own and we'd both paid $250 each for back stage passes. We have never experienced this at any other venue we have been to or ever been kicked out of anywhere. Quite an upsetting experience. I also think there should be free water stations readily available for patrons as is with comparable venues in the city. I wanted to leave this post as I see many saying bouncers are racist. I don't believe they are racist at all just overzealous and towards the males so perhaps sexist rather than racist a better description.
Excellent food, great service, the only issue with this place = it's incredibly noisy! Structure of the building.
Still highly recommended
Lovely little coffee stand in a busy and beautiful area. Delicious drinks and little cakes / cookies, run by a very friendly owner. Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be back next time in Sydney!

What a great lunchtime spot to grab a healthy feed in the CBD. I ordered a takeaway falafel bowl for a reasonable price of $15. I was pleasantly surprised by how big their servings were for that price. Not only that, the size of the 3 falafels were also bigger than the other salad bowl places within the same vicinity. The best part, it was filling and very tasty at the same time. A winning combination. It does get busy at lunch, but they're pretty efficient. Highly recommend the falafel bowl. You won't regret it.

Halo security bouncer “Sunny” assaulted me because I was busy texting my friend … on the way out of IVY bar because I wasn’t walking out fast enough …

Had the avocado on toast with a poached egg which was really good. The place was loud with lots of people. But it’s a great place to grab a breakfast.
This little Wharf cafe is hidden fast coffee shop near the stairs between wharf 4 and Wharf 5 at king st barangaroo, There are three famous business centre buildings in barangaroo site, one, two and three. It is about 400m walk from building one. They are specialists making coffees. It also accepts special order, for example, there is specific order for matcha cappuccino with oat milk only took 2 mins and was ready. The coffee taste is good, not too strong, or weak, the temperature is also perfect.

Nice enough atmosphere and typical cafe prices. However, ordered 'scones', strongly implying a serving of 2 scones. What I got was two miniature scones easily falling short of a single regular scone in total size. Pretty disappointed.

Quietly located within the Sydney Botanic Gardens. Informal dining with surprisingly enjoyable offerings. Numerous bin chickens contribute to the condition (or atmosphere) of the venue. Cardboard containers are used for food. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Perhaps understaffed though, little attention is provided to the outdoor dining space.
Why is it so difficult for the staff to create a welcoming environment? There was no communication, no smiles, not even eye contact. Perhaps they could benefit from additional training to understand that fostering a positive and friendly atmosphere for customers can make their stay enjoyable. Just handing me a buzzer, I had to go back and forth multiple times to collect all the food and drinks I had ordered for myself and my kids. With that type of attitude, it just ruined my Sunday morning.

Here is a restaurant where the welcome is impeccable. To start, the ambiance is very pleasant, with subdued lighting and a magnificent view of Sydney Bay from the outdoor terrace. It's an immersive experience that takes you out of the city.

The quality of service is excellent; the servers display great professionalism. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the food quality, especially regarding the desserts, which, in my opinion, slightly tarnished the overall culinary experience.

Nevertheless, the value for money remains entirely acceptable.

DQ has plenty of great restaurants and spaces to sit and relax. Such a beautiful space yet so close to the CBD. They also hold plenty of events throughout the year - the open air cinema in January is fantastic for all ages - and free! Plenty of good facilities for the kids too! Definitely a must visit for locals and tourists alike.

Cockle Bay is one of the bays of Darling Harbour, leading to the larger Sydney Harbour. The area around the bay is also known as Darling Harbour. The bay is mainly known for Cork Bay Marina,
This is a seaside entertainment district designed by Eric Kuhne, including a variety of restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes and function venues.
Sydney's large public events are often held here, including dragon boat races, firework displays and various parties.
Great for walks and picnics. Good views to the Opera House across the harbour

Very disappointing café. The prices were reasonable. The food was good though the selection was limited. However, the biggest issue was the dirty state of the dining area, along with the pigeons that were flying around inside the building, picking up abandoned food and throwing it all over the place. The café staff were quite polite, however, they seem so shortstaffed they were unable to keep up with the mess which the pigeons took advantage of. Again, this wasn’t in the outdoor seating area but inside the building. Quite unsanitary that pigeons are walking and picking at food on the tables, and then another family would sit down and eat at the same.

Good fun, good food. Not the standard stereotypical restaurant. They cared about the design of the place as well as the presentation of the food. Good quality wines (but not inexpensive). While everything we ordered was good, preparing the crepes for dessert table-side was excellent.
Good ambience within Sydney CBD area. We had the open steak sandwich which was very delicious. Definitely a recommended place to head into and enjoy a meal.

We had a Christmas party at the Ivy, The venue was suitable for large volumes of people. Hundreds. It has multiple floors, a huge dance floor and stage and multiple bars. Equally there were spaces where you could have a more personal conversation. The staff were friendly and the food - tapas was delicious. A fun night was had by all.

Came for a quick coffee and cake with Mum during a visit to the AGNSW.

We were kindly seated to our table outside and given an option of where we wanted to sit.

We were also provided options on how to order - either via QR code at the table or inside at the counter.

Our coffees and cakes came out promptly. Coffee was really good and cakes were nice. I had the orange and bee pollen cake and Mum had the black Forrest. Both had lovely flavours.

I asked our waiter for table water and I was directed to the self service inside the restaurant (I don’t generally like this approach). But, overall I can’t fault the cafe. I will definitely return.
The banana bread was delicious and freshly baked!! 10/10. The coffee was really good as well. Service was friendly and accommodating, however the atmosphere wasn’t the best. It was quite noisy inside and a bit rough outside since it was in between two buildings. I’ll most probably be back though;)

Some of the best coffee in Sydney! The tasting board for two was a very nice set of well made drinks; none of which had a hint of bitterness, most surprisingly the cold brew which was so smooth and sweet my boyfriend wish he could take a few gallons with him back to the South Korea. The beef steak was very good and so filling as well.

To top it off the milk-chocolate passion fruit dessert was a very nice patisserie-style desert without too much heaviness.

Do yourself a favor; come with some friends, have some good food and some good coffee and enjoy the great environment they have set up for you!
Excellent service. However the food quality was a let down. I’ve ordered the $39 lobster bisque pasta only to find a huge clump and the dish is lukewarm. The sauce is tasty but I feel like i am eating leftover pasta reheated in microwave. Should have ordered pastries instead. Ambience wise, well decorated interior and very loud.

Located inside AGNSW South wing

We enjoyed brunch and ordered the following:

- Yuzu iced tea - $7 - 4.5 ⭐️ (a bit too much ice)
- Iced Mocha - $5 - 4.5⭐️ (too much ice)
- Bagel with Halloumi - $16 - 5⭐️👌🏼(love the combination of flavours!)
- Soba Noodle Salad - $16.5 - 5 ⭐️ 👌🏼 (big servings!!!) good for 2
- Mandarin and Yoghurt Cake - $8 - 2.5⭐️ (expected more from this cake. It tasted like the one you buy in grocery stores. )

Pros:
- prices are not that much pricey for a museum cafe
- healthy choices!
- has QR code for easy ordering

Cons:
- Limited menu choices. Suggestion to add more like Pasta, rice mains etc

Also added their menu here. See photos!
This is my very first all five star review. Food is good, very reasonable price, great service and terrific atmosphere. Very nice renovation, food are hot and quick service. Particularly appreciate the lady service us was very professional, she was always looking for any customer need anything and fill water and smile was always there
The atmosphere is so nice, beautiful lights at night. It's great for taking photos.
We had dessert, shaved ice with mango and strawberries. It was very delicious! Would definitely go again.
We had afternoon coffee , great and beautiful presentation of coffee. I have ordered deconstruction hot mocca However there is 0 level of hotness. Another order was iced mocca, it was good. We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The service is extremely slow. The wait staff forget to come and take your order. We had to flag down someone to take our order. Originally we were going to order food but because of lack of service, we decided against and ordered a coffee and a chocolate croissant instead. Coffee was great, the croissant was tasty too. The breakfast menu looked tasty.

I visited on a relatively quiet Saturday and found myself underwhelmed from the start. After placing my order for both coffee and food, I was handed a table buzzer. However, when the buzzer eventually sounded, it was only my coffee that awaited me, served in a takeaway cup. Inquiring about the missing meal, I was met with a dismissive response from the barista, who promptly slammed the buzzer onto the counter, instructing me to return to my table and wait for my food.

Observing the café staff, they appeared to be primarily capable of serving coffee and little else. Regrettably, the coffee I received was marred by the unpleasant taste of burnt milk. Despite understanding that the steep price of $34.50 was likely attributed to the prime location, my dining experience took a rapid downturn. My attempt to secure an outdoor table was thwarted by an audacious ibis bird that hopped onto my table, helping itself to my meal. Consequently, I relocated indoors, only to find tables in a state of disarray, adorned with remnants of rubbish and food.

Meanwhile, two café staff members, now idle, seemed absorbed in their phones, while individuals resembling managers emerged from the kitchen, indulging in fries and casual conversation with their unenthusiastic colleagues. The brazen ibis bird, which had earlier pilfered from my lunch plate, somehow infiltrated the interior without challenge. A manager stood idly by as the bird made itself at home, resulting in a surreal and unsavory spectacle. The restroom facilities were also found wanting, with a lack of toilet paper and hand towels, mirroring the café's overall neglect.

While I appreciate that dining in the Botanical Gardens may invite the occasional visit from wildlife, other gardens in Sydney boast superior measures to prevent animal intrusion. My overall experience left me thoroughly disappointed.
Excellent oat milk caps and served with a warm smile. Perfect Sydney mid-morning to be sitting outside. Perfect way to spend with an overseas friend met first over 40 years ago. Proud of Sydney’s coffee and glad that Wharf cafe did not let down!
Great coffee. Nice environment. Very friendly owner who has been there for 23 years!

The environment and design is excellent.

The food was disappointing. We ordered steak hache, ratatouille, bread and a cheese with a couple of drinks. The mains were really bad quality, with a ratatouille looking like raw vegetables and tomato sauce. It is definitely possible to get better French food in another place for the prices offered in this one.

Service from staff was good in general.

I had a fantastic time at The Grounds of the City. Despite my friend feeling unwell, a staff member went the extra mile to assist her, for this we’re most grateful. I’m sorry I didn’t ask your name, if you’re reading this review, please know we’re most grateful and commend you on your empathy, professionalism and maturity.

The delicious beverages and lunch were thoroughly enjoyed, and the ambiance made it feel like we could be anywhere in the world. Thankfully the experience was superbly enjoyed and easier because we booked our table a couple of days ago and didn’t have to wait or discover there wasn’t a table free. Thank you!

Excellent service from the waitress in white shirt who came to take the order from us. Dessert and coffee was delightful. I would recommend to reserve table otherwise it will be long wait with very welcoming attitude and plenty of space. We would love to come back here again.

Everything that I did mentioned above is not what we receive from here.
Moreover, when I asked the bill from her she even put the dirty dish from another table in front of me that was totally unacceptable for customers service. Also I would recommend you to have the QR code to order that should be better from the table service that we received from staff.
The only star I put here is the good looking decoration and shop atmosphere.

It's a solid 4. You get what you expect here.
Menu selection is slightly restricted as it is only a small interior cafe, not a full restaurant. Limited to breakfast style options. Pricing a little high for the portion sizing, however you are eating inside the Art Gallery and so; to be expected.
The service was extremely fast surprising due to the amount of people dining in. A slight failure was an iced mocha that turned into an iced latte by the time it reached our table.

First club I went to while visiting Australia. Went on a Thursday night, great vibes! 10/10. Even came back a week later because we had such a fun time. People there were there to dance and have a good time. No weirdos or creepy men in sight! The only strange thing was how intense security was. There were three rows of security to get through and I had to provide my ID and passport each time. Props to them for prioritizing security/safety!

My friend & I had a rest over a pot of tea & coffee which came out pretty promptly considering how busy they were. However, after only one cup of tea the teapot was empty of hot water. So when my friend asked for extra hot water we were advised that it would cost extra - just for hot water- yet they offer cold water for free! Go figure!!????
My cappuccino was ok, a bit on the weak side for my liking.
A One star rating based on the ridiculous charge for hot water.
Great coffee, great services. The owner is so nice and accommodating. Definitely will come back again!

The area has lots to offer and is quite nice to walk around. The Wharf is beside the marina so there's plenty of boats around to watch. The wharf goes in away from the main footpath so it wasn't as crowded. There was also an interesting fountain with lots of birds.
The food was superb. I had the King Crab Linguine and it was just the right amount before my jeans button was going to burst. I had to eat very bite of it!
My friends enjoyed their schnitzel and lamb very much so that one even licked the plate!
Service was professional and welcoming. Ambience and decor was well done as though you don't feel like you are in the city having a birthday lunch with friends on a weekday! Will come back to taste more items on the menu.

I think this is my favorite cafe I’ve ever been to. They have an amazing menu, that I wasn’t sure what to try first. The staff is very patient and kind. The decor is stunning with plants everywhere, mismatch chairs and tables, and just all around great aesthetic. I have been here twice already. Got: Vietnamese drip coffee, iced coffee with ice cream, almond croissant, summer haze drink, spring roll meal, and I think it was pork noodle soup. Everything was so delicious and I recommend all of it.

A playground suitable for all ages. There’s water and sensory play. Slides for toddlers, bigger kids and zip lines. It’s accessible by public transport or by car you can park for $20 all day. Lots of eateries near by and of course the infamous Harry cafe de wheels! My favourite place to eat delicious pies and hot dogs! On weekends, the park draws in children and it can be extremely busy. There’s enough space for everyone to move around and take turns on the play equipment. The only let down is that being a very busy public space, there should be signs of contact numbers to call or rangers nearby to provide assistance to any injured children.

Great staff, fantastic atmosphere and great tunes. Was fairly short wait for drinks, toilet access and quick line to get until the venue. Ivy Sundays had a great crowd. Loved every minute of it

It’s so disappointing that the ratings for this place are so low because of a bad stint years ago as this place is truly a hidden gem!!

The service was so friendly, my salad was absolutely fantastic, the decor is beautiful and modern and despite there being a massive line, I didn’t have to wait long for my order at all.

Highly recommend!
Popped in this morning for breakfast, staff were super friendly and the food was great!

I just went simple, eggs on toast and an orange juice, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt, I seriously thing my orange juice took two minutes from order to delivery! Orange juice was top notch as well!

Eggs on toast were simple, but also lovely!

Would certainly pop back for breakfast again!!!

I finally found a place that serves Omelette!!

We came here for breakfast, and the place was packed with people picking up their morning coffee.

The friendly staff took us to the table and took our order.

We had their Avenue Omelette, served with sauteed onion, tomato, mushroom, spinach & goat cheese drizzled with truffle oil, and a side of toast.

I loved it!!!

Enjoyed the relaxing venue and surrounding area at Darling Harbour. Plenty of seating, live entertainment, table tennis, restaurants, relaxing scenery close to the harbour and even closer to the swimming precinct for ankle high paddlers, large grass areas, also convention and Sydney entertainment centres located close by especially the Convention Centre. The light rail services the area.

After 20+ hours in the air we landed and arrived to our hotel. They recommend we head to the Darling Quarter for food and a place for the kids to “be kids”. The play area here is awesome. The water feature stood out with it gates, dams, pumps and more all controlled by kids. Slides that used a “hill” instead of a ladder. A zip line and slack rope are also here. After an hour of play we ate and went on our way. The next we returned and the kids once again had a great time.
Nice coffee right near the waterfront. They have a range of snacks and basic medications like sea sickness tablets and painkillers also.
I was looking for a reasonably priced coffee to sit in the harbour and relax on a bench. There were not many options but came across this one. The coffee was fresh and tasty and the blueberry cake not too sweet.

My favorite salad bar in the cbd and this place was so underrated! They offered a variety of salad options and I loved my crumbed chicken salad. Will come back to try their poke bowl soon

A nice outdoor setting in the botanical gardens. Perfect pit stop for a drink or a quick nibble or sandwich.

We had the poke bowl with chicken, cheese & tomato toastie and juice and price was more than $50. Price is exorbitant however area is nice. Limited selection on the menu. Would’ve been great if they had proper meals as the setting is perfect for it.

It was quite packed when we visited at about 11:30am or so. Wasn’t too organised, it could’ve been managed better.
absolutely amazing with Serve hot fried Cuttle fish and mayo sauce and Linguine Crab and Clam. Both of them 10/10 Never has a nice perfect dish with the depth of flavours as this before. Then can’t stop to come again next day for coffee ☕️and cake.

Atmosphere so nice food good look and taste ❤️5 star ⭐️ not enough. 🙌 bravo 🎉 guys.
