This Montreal boulangerie is our go-to breakfast spot, just a short walk away. The cozy vibe, paired with their amazing croissants, hits the spot. The croissants are crispy and flaky on the outside, buttery inside, and the fillings are just right. Each bite brings a morning smile, especially when accompanied by a sip of their delightful chai latte. It’s our perfect casual breakfast retreat.

Croissants that are large and flaky with a good chew, but not as buttery as some. Same with all the pastries using the same laminated dough, such as the chocolatines. Not a bad thing, just a different variation. Apple turnovers have a decent filling to dough ratio, but no apple chunks. Prices pretty much in line with other quality boulangeries.
The croissants were very good. The bread was awful and completely crumbled. When I contacted the owner he said he would give me a refund. Haven't seen a refund and he won't respond to several emails

Having tried many gluten-free establishments until now we finally made our way to Parc Sans Gluten where we tried a croissant that was both airy and buttery, a very sweet lemon meringue tart making its decent size more than enough for two people to share and the most delicious and giant blueberry turnover thats worth a detour to acquire.

Very reasonably priced for a specialty bakery and with a very large and varied menu Parc Sans Gluten cements its place as one of the go to gluten-free bakeries in Montreal.

This is a hidden gem!!! I love the coffee and the pastries are really well done. Their espresso beans taste like an Italian roast and are from a local Montreal roaster. You won’t regret going to this cafe!

The croissants are so good. Especially the ones with fruit (raspberry and chocolate 🌀, apple and almond ❎). There were so many choices that it was hard to decide. Took a box home for a souvenir and I think it will be worth a return visit.

I come from Switzerland and was travelling to Montreal for a few days. I looked into gluten free places before my arrival. This place was about 30 minutes away from my hotel but I was super excited to go and discover it.
The only issue, the welcome by the employee, probably the owner. He was extremely impatient, very unfriendly, impolite, not happy to be there, looked fed up about the simplest question. Very bad service. The food very average and pricy.

The folks at this bakery have a clever sense of humor that I couldn't help but appreciate. They've set up two tip jars, one labeled "Chocolatine" and the other "Pain au chocolat," which, for those in the know, is a playful nod to the ongoing pastry wars. If you're familiar with this delightful culinary debate, it's sure to put a smile on your face as it did for me. And if you're not, it's a fun opportunity to learn something new. It's safe to say that my coins found their way into the "Chocolatine" jar – wink-wink.

But the highlight of my visit was the purchase of a loaf of Miche neuf grains. This artisanal bread is a medley of rich flavors from nine different grains, and a subtle tang courtesy of its sourdough preparation. What struck me was the perfect balance – the crust wasn't overly thick, and the crumb didn't have those large, gaping holes you often find in artisanal loaves. This made it the ideal choice for crafting a delicious sandwich.

Additionally, I can't emphasize enough how satisfying it was for a nutritious breakfast. Whether you toast it and spread some butter and jam, or pair it with your favorite toppings, this bread elevates your morning meal. It's evident that the bakers here take pride in their craft, and the quality of their offerings speaks for itself. A visit to this bakery is not only a treat for the taste buds but also a nod to the playful side of food culture.

Went there every morning, during vacation. Great service, delicious pastries, coffee and nice atmosphere.
Too bad, I didn’t take any pictures. But hey, I had a sugar cone with the vanilla dipped in Dark Chocolate.ufffffff what a discovery. The vanilla wow, the sugar cone wow. Highly recommended even if you don’t really like ice cream, but it’s a lot for the real sweet adventure into this place.

Attention: this is a must-must-must try.
Gluten-free squads - Celiac squads this is your happy place & totally totally worth the visit & the purchase.
Danish Pastry is not to be missed.
Eclair au chocolate is not to be missed.
These 2 are to die for.
Whenever we come from Toronto this is one of the must visits.
I tried the carré bleuet, and it was really tasty and buttery, but the homemade iced tea wasn't for me. It tasted a bit like an expensive perfume..

Amazing, couldn’t even take any pictures because my partner and I would eat ( baguette, croissants, etc) when we got home!

Service is amazing, quick and efficient!

Get there early because they run out pretty fast. I tend to go right when they open to avoid the line up.

Since we live right around the corner, we make it a weekend event.

Love the work that’s being done !!

Delicious buttery croissant with a good thick inside and a good balance of sweet & savoury and where you can eat more without feeling it’s too much.

Solid cold brew coffee, tastes fruity and refreshing — perfect for summer.

They are always out of everything and the people behind the counter are the most miserable people I've ever encountered every time I come

Croissant was so buttery and was crispy. I really liked how buttery and rich it was. Maybe others will find this as a con.
As for the sour dough it was really good and it tasted perfect!
Great spot to get your pastry from, notably one of the best chocolatine/pain-au-chocolat in town.

But it's best to skip on their beverage choices though as they are ordinary in comparison.
Wonderful croissants and other treats and baguettes. Consistent and friendly staff. Coffee too!

Awesome, their bread is great! I've yet to try anything else but I always go for a few loaves and maybe some croissants or chocolatines if I'm feeling adventurous. The staff is really nice and always helpful.
I’m torn on reviewing this place because I was so excited to try it but it didn’t really live up to the expectation. The croissants and pastries look beautiful and delicious, but actually the ones we had like the tartelette lacked flavour, except for the plain croissant which was very good. The coffee was decently good. The place was absolutely unnecessarily freezing and so unpleasant to sit inside. I just wanted to leave as fast as possible. I may give it another try with a different pastry next time to see if there’s a better one.

The most delicious pastries. You’ll find the best Paris-Brest in town!
Great atmosphere, and food! The quiche was delicious.
I ordered two bags of chouquette (20) and only received one. It is very disappointing to spend your hard earned money on two items and only receive one. While the chouquettes were amazing I can’t give more than one stars since I only received half of my order.
Beware if you order online you may only receive part of your order.

Consistently the best sheet pizza I have tried. Good selection of Italian cold cuts, and cheeses. Excellent breads and rolls.

I was introduced to this gem during a secret food tour in Montreal. We sampled the white chocolate brioche. It was completely sinful. I write this review for you, but also selfishly , for myself, so if I’m ever back in Montreal, I don’t forget to pay this lovely bakery a visit. Definitely go!

Today was my first time stopping in. Wow!! Just amazing! Gorgeous paninis all lined up at the front, with delectable desserts further back. And of course you can’t forget their collection of vienoisseries. All look perfect and it makes it hard to pick. And they taste…so buttery and flaky and delicious!

Go today.

If you don’t know how to bake or need some fresh bread for the week, this is a great spot. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. The cookie was very dry and sweet and the potato and cheese roll didn’t taste like much. The bread selection didn’t wow me and the salespeople don’t seem to be of much help. Would recommend providing samples, otherwise it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the options available.

I have to say that they have a smart sense of humor: by putting two tip jars read Chocolatine versus Pain au chocolat, they offer a chance for someone who know this pastry wars to laugh aloud as I did, and for whom don't know to learn about it. To me, there is no doubt in which jar my coins would be tossed, wink-wink.

I bought a loaf of Miche neuf grains. It has rich flavors of nine grains and a hint of tang thanks to sourdough. The crust isn't too thick and the crumb hasn't too many big holes, so it is perfect for the sandwiches. Not to mention that you would definitely enjoy it for the nutritious breakfast.

The best pastries and baked goods place in Montreal! Their sandwiches are great for lunches (delicious and filling). We live two blocks away and it’s our weekend treat and sometimes mid week :) The place is clean, friendly and they always have fresh food! Hands down the best in Mtl! 🥳 Kind of reminds me of the bakery/ patisserie shops in France 🇫🇷❤️

The coffee here is always fantastic! Bonus that this spot is inside my favourite home store. There’s pastries, bread, some pre-made food options and seating space.
I'm not the biggest fan of croissants, they explode when you bite into them. And most of the time they're dry. But when my wife said "I googled the best croissants in montreal, and I want to try them." I had no choice but to go woth her.

And I definitely do not regret it. The buttery texture and well contained crunch have earned them that title. The coffee was perfectly what I was going for, not too sweet and a with a real chocolate flavour on ice for such a hot day.

The inside decor, at first, seemed to match the copy paste of every other hipster cafe, but with enough of their own flair that I'd say they made it unique.

Overall, if you're in the neighborhood, I'd say it's something you would not want to miss.

My wife can only eat GF. Quoting her " to eat only gluten free, this place was a dream come true. I was able to eat exceptionally tasty croissants, cookies and a spinach and meat pie." Take the time to go here. It is a hidden jewel in Montreal! Outstanding customer service. There was a very slight language barrier, but the gentleman was so kind it wasn't an issue. Enjoy!
After reading about this boulangerie on Google, I thought I'd give it a try, as I would be in the neighborhood. I bought some croissants, choclatines, viennoiseres and bread to share with my friends. Croissants had a great flaky crust and a buttery, doughy and chewy consistency. Not quite the flaky, buttery layers of dough that I usually get in Paris, but equally enjoyable in another sense. The choclatine dough had similar qualities, and it compared quite favorably to another of my favorite Montréal bakeries. I gave away all the rest, so I'll have to await feedback from the recipients. So far, I'm impressed and will likely be spoiling some more friends with treats in which they wouldn't otherwise indulge.

Croissant Croissant bakery in Montreal is a must-visit destination. The bread and pastries are incredibly fresh, leaving you speechless. The legendary croissants alone make it worth the journey. A true gem for pastry enthusiasts, even if it's not conveniently located nearby.
le 19 Juin, 2023 Unfortunately, this review must be aired as I do not wish to see other customers in the same horrendous situation as mine! I order '2' cheesecake slices from La Diperie, on June 19th, eve. The order came '4 slices of Mango cheesecake' total $77.14! I was shocked & of course tried to contact La Diperie! The gent told me there was nothing short of contacting Uber Eats, which I did & of course, no one ever answers! Then he told me to contact the Head Office, which I did, & once again, no one answers although I left several messages! In summation, it is not only disappointing but impossible to get any kind of resolution with Uber Eats! When I spoke to the owner 'Michael' , at first he seemed willing to assist my dilemma, however, the then simply 'swept me off saying there was nothing he could do'! How lovely!

The butter croissant from here was alright, not as good as I expected, it was dense and heavy 3.6/5. They do have vegan croissants too which I didn’t try, they looked a little flat which isn’t surprising given the necessary recipe modifications. Overall a cute cafe, I will have to go back and try one of the other pastries.

I've lived in a few different places in Montreal and can confidently say that Croissant Monkland makes the best chocolatine I've tried. They knock it out of the park with everything else as well: crepes, croissants, bread, cakes etc. Truly.
And the staff is always nice and courteous and on the ball.
I would easily give it 5 stars but I will say there are two small drawbacks.

1) they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Mondays aren't so bad, but Sunday is THE bakery day in my opinion. But I'm sure they have their reasons.

2) The organization in terms of clientele is a little haphazard. While it is a totally smooth experience when there aren't many people, it becomes a bit of a free for all when it's busy. You have to be ready to play a game of human chess so people don't accidentally (or purposely sometimes) cut in front of you. It's a bit anxiety inducing unless you've lived in France, in which case cutting in front of people and getting cut in front of is sort of par for the course. However, to me personally, it's a big pet peeve, but maybe I'm just being precious.
Overall, best baked goods in town, always go here when I can and take people who are visiting.

Quality decline, the same disease spreading to most business to cut in quality to maximize gain. Very unfortunate to see Guillaume go that way. Bought 8 Ciabatta bread for 14$. Very disappointing the size. Not even enough to cut In half.

Worth coming to Montreal to find this gluten-free dairy-free bakery and enjoy them in the adjacent park with people strumming music and strolling by. Croissants, pain au chocolat, empanadas, tarts. There’s probably plenty of calories in there, so enjoy your walk! They also have some nice crusty loaves of bread and fresh made pizzas ready to bake. Yum.

It’s an elegant pastry shop. We had an indulging chocolate cake to go. I liked its different layers and rich flavor. Friendly staff.
I made an online order via doordash and Michael was extremely helpful in getting the order fulfilled. I had tried ordering via Ubereats and I was having issues placing the order. Michael was patient to guide me through the process as I was ordering from the US for delivery to Montreal. The service I received over the phone was top notch and the recipient loved the cheesecake. Thank you for helping me with my order.
They made a beautiful and delicious mille feuil cake for me on demand. Very satisfied and I highly recommend! Thank you Patisserie De Nancy!

Personally I think they have the best croissants in Monkland village/NDG. Super reasonable prices, great sandwich selection, solid bread options, love their viennoiseries. This really reminds me of bakeries in France, unpretentious and tasty baked goods with a lunch option.
Conveniently located. Best (and sweetest) mocha. Friendly service.
The dips and the ice cream are okay but the price is high the portions are relatively small, it is NOT the best place for dips. The best place is Chocolats favoris (big dips big ice cream).

I have been going here since I am little girl. Today I went to buy croissants with my little girl in my arms. The owner has always been unfriendly, but I continued to go as her croissant is very good in the west part of the city. Obviously the owner couldn’t care less about customer service. Today she couldn’t even bother to help me bag the 30$ order while I was holding my baby and my hands were full. It wasn’t the first time.
I hope she reads this review and she understands the value of a smile and some kindness. She will not be seeing my smile anymore.

Pastries and fine desserts. The madeleines are to die for, soft and moist in the middle and crunchy on the edges. Proust would agree. The tarts are a treat , delicious but a bit expensive for the size of it.
Some of the best Cannolis and Amoretti cookies in the city!

Love their pastry and italian imported products.

Just got some yesterday, the custard and ricotta cannolis are so good!
just got a caramilk milkshake and piece of rainbow cake !!!!!!! DELICIOUS.
Only thing is with delivery do not put milkshakes in the paper bags please!
mine leaked out bit and was bit messy cause the cover came off in the uber in the bag.
Other than that perfect late night snack treat.. and good portions. Yes I can see myself getting food from here again. Maybe more in person in the summer tho

O my, where to start?
Since I started to bake my own bread 2 year ago I stopped buying bread from the stores completely. Only when travel, but it wasn't as good as mine, usually a big disappointment.
Guillaume is a gem. I loved every bread we bought from them. The croissants are perfect, as good or even better than Brioche a Tet next block, but price is definitely better.
I even brought some of the bread and croissants home to NY.
My new " must stop at " place in Montreal.
It's a must visit for any bread enthusiast.
The morning staff is amazing. Quick, efficient, friendly - I never worry about mistakes in my order or being late to work with them.
I recently discovered this perfect little cafe.
At first, walking by I just considered it another overpriced cafe in the metro but I was definitely wrong. The coffee is great with many options and the desserts are really good too. The most important part is the kindness of the staff and the ambiance it brings to the place when people are stepping in for their morning coffee. You feel just at home and it makes it worth the starbucks prices. Great job to the staff!

A delicious option in NDG! Somewhat overpriced, but the quality is really good. The pies are so beautiful as irresistible delicious. Definitely a place to be back.
I absolutely adore Croissant Croissant! It's my go-to spot in Montreal for delicious coffee. Their pastries, especially the almond croissant, are a delightful treat - soft inside and slightly crunchy on top, it's simply amazing. This place truly elevates the coffee and pastry experience in Montreal, and it's a personal favorite of mine! ☕🥐😍

Little update: the menu has a new addition - the square croissant with caramel!
I liked the place. They have plenty of delicious pastries that you would like to try all of em. However, I gave them 4 stars because they don't have syrups like vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, dulce de lache etc. etc. for your coffee.
That would be great if they add some syrups so we can have them in our coffee:) all in all, good place. I recommend it.

It's been around forever, and for good reason. An update would make this place feel less authentic despite the fact this place needs one. Best lemon dipped cookies (when the actual pastry chef makes them) in Montreal, they are moist and amazing. They are known for there bread and buns, and there good. And their prices are good for the quality you get. They could use a little more selection in the pastry / sweets department.

A glutinous paradise! Beautiful bakery with fresh bread, pastries, and sandwiches. So many unique options like fig and cheddar baguettes, almond croissants, cinnamon twists, and “mushroom” pastries.

Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, a fantastic boulangerie!
OMG, this place has the best pastries!! I was born just outside Montréal but my mother still lives in NDG and everytime I come home, I hit this place and get pastries, quiches of all kinds, chocolates, croissants, cookies and cakes!! I love the semelles aux pommes ( basically an apple tart very thin in the shape of a sole of a shoe, yes, hahaha, but so good!!) Order ahead of time or get there early! Oh yeah, be aware, every great pastry place is closed on Mondays and they take a few weeks off during the summer time...

Our favorite spot in Montreal for croissants! I was there before 1pm on a Monday, and they have completely sold out all of their croissants and chocolatins for the day !! Guess I’m not the only love their croissants! Really good pastries and lunch food. Hot espresso-based drinks are fantastic, especially lattes and mokas. I would not recommend their iced coffees, they weren't great. Staff are always polite and helpful. They do not offer dine-in options (no tables or chairs), so keep that in mind if you want a place to sit down and relax. Not wheelchair accessible, nor is there a lot of parking. Overall I like this place very much and will continue to purchase their lattes and other pastries, to go.
Good products, and huge empanadas (Seriously - they are massive). Croissants are the best option here.
We had croissants, pain au chocolat, empanadas (spinach & potato, Chicken & pizza sauce). By far the croissants are the lightest (the least butter) and better options. Empanadas fillings were not great, but they are fine. They are so big its hard to finish one by yourself. Pain au chocolat is ok - and heavy on the stomach.
Great to see a full bakery dedicated to gluten free! Amazing work.

Awesome! Crêpe sandwiches are delicious and they have a great variety of baked goods. Good quality products, but I don't know if they do anything to reduce acrylamide formation in their products. Most places don't, but a few are proactive about it. Aside from that the woman was super friendly.

I wish every bakery make their none gluten free pastry as well as PSG! Not only does it not taste like gluten free, it tastes better than a lot of the regular pastries I’ve tried.

We’re here for the holiday from NY, and have been trying gluten free bakery around Montreal, this is honestly the best one I’ve tried even tho it doesn’t have as many review as the other. My favorite is that they offer great savory options on top of the usually sweet desserts. It’s so easy to find sweet gluten free desserts, but savory item is hard to find even in different part of the world!

The chicken pizza turnover is so so so good, so meaty, the dense but flakey crust, saucy, we didn’t even need to heat it up the day after and it still taste delicious! Strawberry cream pastry is phenomenal too!! Kind of wish I live in Montreal so I can visit more often, especially they have new items even just in 2 days! (Yes I came back after 2 days because it’s that good)

Service could be a little bit better, but it’s so so so worth it!
Pretty good, but I wish they'd focus on being quick (by nature of the location, every customer is trying to get on a train in 4 or 8 minutes). It seems really inefficient that the cashier has to stop taking orders to make breakfast sandwhiches.

The stuffed croissants are amazing! I had the raspberry jam filled one and it was pretty good! The other pastries were also very good, the only one that wasn't was the date muffin (very dry and sweetless). The staff is very charming too.
Wonderful staff & good coffee.
The staff I dealt with is Azram. She is very pleasant and took the time to explain to me the types of coffees they have and told me she can make me any type of coffee the way I like it. To be honest I didn't feel like having a coffee. I just stopped to check it out for next tome as I always pass by since Lionel Groulx is my metro station. But because she was so pleasant and patient in dealing with me, I decided to get a Latte. Azram and I ended up having a good chat about various things but she was quick to notice customers if they came in and to tend to them. This to me is an example of a great customer service.
I will be returning for sure.
One of the best pastries place in Montreal. From outside, it smells so good. So tempting to go inside. Inside, the decor is very minimalist and welcoming. The staffs are super nice and knowledgeable. The pastries and coffees are out of this world. I will definitely come back.

Best almond croissant I’ve tasted in my life.
I was visiting from Toronto and I would usually try local patisseries anywhere I go and this place sold the best almond croissant. It’s full of almond paste fillings, perfectly caramelized bottom of the pastry which gives the gooey taxture, punch of buttery aromas, and flakey layers of croissant. It’s got everything that I can ask for for a almond croissant. Good thing I don’t live too close other wise I will end up gaining 100lbs just eating their almond croissant. 😂
Paris breast was also good. Bold in flavour.
But none of their cakes and pastries impressed me more that their almond croissant I end up buying 3 more.

Customer service was also exceptional. I can’t speak French but they were trying their best to communicate with me and answer all my questions and accommodated me.

Also the price of pastries are reasonable which is very nice (Toronto patisseries are too expensive 😭)

I would 100% go back if I’m in MTL.

Thank you for amazing work and service!
The place is nice, new interior and has abundant menu with frozen cookie dough and dipped ice cream sandwiches. It was a nice day last saturday so went to Diperie to eat . I tried the Ice cream sandwich this time. It was cool to choose a dip and toppings. I found it was expensive for what it was. The cookie texture and taste was too refined and tasted store bought. But with the way the brand is set and the price point doesn't mix with the final product 😐. Would hope to see if I come another time they change it, like if it was more homemade and/or if the ice cream was more flavourful.
Highly recommend 100% fantastic.

I always walked passed this cafe, on my way to work, and back home. Never wanted to stop, because the metros convenience stores and cafes are usually over priced.

To my amazement, there was a very kind lady at the till. I grabbed my selection, and ordered my drink. Surprisingly it was way cheaper than I expected, and it tasted better than any other cafes in the metro or around the city. I highly recommend.

When asked if they had white macarons- they said tes! They had vanilla. What I got were shrivelled chewy very small greasy sandwich cookies- and were no where near white- nor macarons!!! I thought this was a French based pastry shop!! I’m not sure how they can advertise these as macarons. Certainly misleading and very disappointing.

Since I was a little girl going to Church my father use to buy my sister and I these cookies every Sunday! I stopped in yesterday for the first time in over 30+ years and they were still there! They're chewy, soft and fresh! Omg! The almond taste is just great! Try them...tell them Gaileisha sent you! You WILL NOT regret it. Not to mention the other tasty food items they have there! 5 stars for sure!!! 👏🏾
