This is my first time at Jams and I was so looking forward to going out as I’m a busy MSW student, mom, and FT employee. I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend so going out to eat is a treat. First thing I noticed was that several booths had holes in the vinyl. Just seems to me this should be something you would want to fix. Got our drinks and appetizer. The onion rings were over fried so that was disappointing. I ordered the fish and chips and friend ordered the turkey sandwich with the plan to share. Fish was so greasy I couldn’t eat it as it made me sick to my stomach and my friend agreed. I tried my friend’s turkey and it was okay but nothing to write home about. The service was the only bright spot overall. Sorry, I won’t go back to eat here and won’t recommend as there are too many other places in Omaha that are so much better.

Terrible - food and service. Touristy, bland, and packaged tasting food. Should have left when we were told that one ingredient couldn’t be taken out because everything is premade. Cocktail tasted like water and there definitely wasn’t any alcohol in it. Food took ages to come when only a handful of people were in the restaurant. And the service was the worst in a restaurant we’ve had - rude, lying, unapologetic,

I had heard good things about this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn't and had left it to my imagination. The service was horrible from the start, with everyone at the bar having to scavenge for silverware to eat their food once it finally arrived. The ceiling was leaking everywhere, and the whole place felt chaotic.

I ordered lobster tacos, but all I found were little shreds of lobster covered in batter. I couldn't even find enough lobster to taste. I can't understand why this is acceptable, and I won't recommend this place to anyone, whether they're visiting or local.

The food was also covered in so much stuff that you could not even eat it as tacos.

My colleague and I had a few hours to spare before heading to the airport and this place was recommended by a few locals we work with. The restaurant is in a pretty part of town and parking was abundant during the time we went (around 430pm on a Thursday afternoon). Service was friendly, but I got the feeling the waitress wanted to turn over the table even though there were plenty of empty tables around and we were there for just over an hour. I had the trash can nachos which was delivered to the table in a "can" which, when lifted, distributed the contents evenly on the plate. Very similar to Guy Fieri's Trash Can Nachos at his restaurants. The nachos tasted good and it was an overall enjoyable experience despite the pushiness of the waitress.

I love the meat loaf 5 star for that. One guest wasn't happy with coconut chicken salad. Soaked with too much dressing. Had a 4 top. Fish taco was good.

So much to appreciate at this place:
Delicious food in good portions ( check put the half salad and sangria pictured)
Casual, hip, atmosphere located within walking distance to downtown hotels.
I especially like the unique additions that rev up the classics like the spicy queso, and apricots and chickpeas in the salad.
I'll be adding this to my favorite places to eat while working in Omaha!!

Very nice layout, open layout but still feels a little cozy, love the red brick...
waitress was quick to get to us, was very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations...

Appetizer..
Meatballs, cooked perfectly, moist..
The marinara is a little bit spicy, it wasn't overpowering but there is a little bit of heat. My wife is particularly fond of the bread.

The ranch contains a good amount of dill, I am a fan, my wife absolutely hates it...

Entrées.

Fish and chips.......
Absolute perfection.. if you are a fan of fried cod, this is an absolute must have, tender, moist, perfectly battered....

The wafflefries are very good, as is the slaw...

Braised short rib tacos.........
Meat is flavorful, tender, melts in your mouth... slaw toping is a nice touch..

The Mac and cheese is fantastic,

Chicken enchilada..
Very well made, excellent flavors, the rice and beans are delicious, I'm not a huge fan of the slaw with that one, but it's only my preference...

My wife and I were in Omaha on a Wednesday evening. Looking for a different place to dine in the Old Market area. New to this restaurant, and it is a hidden gem for great meal and experience. Atmosphere was very unique and comfortable. Food was out of this world. Beautiful cuts of locally sourced beef. Couldn't partake in alcohol, but the wine list is impressive. Service is both professional and friendly. Best reccomendatiilon.

If you want a great steak, this is the place. Expensive but great quality steaks and sides. Had the 20 oz strip medium rare. It was perfectly cooked with a great crust. Potatoes are huge. Wedge salad was fresh and well made with a great amount of bacon. Would definitely come again for the steak.

Ordered filet, NY strip, baked potato, asparagus, and prime salad. Salad came out warm- not sure if it is supposed to be served that way. Terry, our server, didn’t greet us until after we had been sitting for 15 minutes. Missed a sauce we ordered with the steak. Didn’t ask us how we were doing or refill our waters once. My dates steak didn’t not taste right and was not up to standard. Wanted to send it back and get a new one- would’ve paid. However, after I finished my meal and he picked at the sides, then terry decides he finally wants to come around. Asked Maddie for a manager, never had one visit. Had really high expectations for tonight, and I’m sure we would have had a great time if we didn’t get sat with Terry. Had the steak taken off of the ticket and now my date gets to have leftovers at home. Very disappointed.

I would give zero stars on service if I could. Have had great service every time we have visited. Always have a group and reservations. Terry messed up drink and food order. He would not know that since he never checked back on us and we were even there for a birthday. He didn’t know who ordered which menu items and he made it seem as if splitting the check was asking for a kidney as he huffed and puffed. He came back with cc receipts and pens in one book and he didn’t set it on the he table but literally tossed it. Everyone was irritated but we didn’t want to have it ruin our night. Steaks weren’t done right which was probably him putting it in wrong since the kitchen always does amazing. We tipped him 18% which is low coming from a table of past servers/bartenders. The kicker was was we didn’t see the gratuity so Terry got 38% for being rude, messing up our food, and giving a bad taste in our mouth. As a former server, I have always informed my tables of gratuity I feel it’s a courtesy.

I absolutely love the atmosphere, reminds me of the old Maxine's..
They bring out a display of the food and the waiter reviewed all options.
This is something you don't see in Omaha, this is usually a practice performed in very high end large cities, where the steaks start at $150 and go up..

The prices here seem incredible reasonable for the setting.
Honestly not much more than a chain steakhouse, but, the experience, the presentation is far beyond what you get there..
Growing up here, playing in the old market as a young child through my teenage years, the nostalgia is palpable..

Bread is served, soft butter, warm bread, spot on.

Crab cakes. PERFECTION... large chunks of crabs, perfectly cooked, not oily, pure deliciousness

Artichoke dip. This is probably the best I have had, at least in the omaha area.
I love the taste of artichoke, often it is too subdued. With this dish, the artichoke sings...
This is for those that love artichokes, if that is not you, or you are used to chain store dips, this might not be for you...

We both ordered the 11 oz, filet, medium rare.
This is exquisite. Perfectly cooked, excellent flavor. Most importantly, fork tender.
This steak is over an inch thick and I can cut it with my fork!!!....

Asparagus, as you would expect, perfectly grilled, excellent flavor

Waffle fries....... yes I know, why not a soup, why not a potato, because my wife loves waffle fries, that's why... they are perfect.
I want to mention the ranch, yes, we dip them in ranch.. I believe it to be house made, delicious, and most importantly, no overpowering dill dill flavor, this is creamy and rich...

Strawberry cheesecake, decadent, rich, delicious......

Huge shout out to our waiter Terry, you are what all servers should aspire to be. Very attentive, immediately at the table, you provided us with a magnificent dinning experience...
Dirty silverware from appetizers were swapped with new utensils. Packed our leftover appetizers for us, and the entire time with a friendly smile...

For everyone reading this, ask for this gentleman, he is a professional...

This place is definitely 5 out of 5...
We highly recommend.

Excellent service great food drinks and desserts, beautiful place.
Price per person varies depending on what you order from 50 - 140 or more.
If I can leave a recommendation for the owner is, to get bigger size tables the tables in general are too small, specially the one for 2 people.
Also there’s no 🪝 hooks to hang your personal bag.
Other that that is a beautiful place to visit specially couples.

Excellent is the only word that comes to mind when you think of Omaha Prime. The service is classy from the start. The moment the hostess greets you it’s an experience which is followed by a very knowledgeable waitress. You are given recommendations as well as a display of what to expect as you order.
You will pay a nice price but it’s completely worth every bite.

Waitress : Bella 20/10
Meal : Shrimp and filet mignon with truffle mash, Brussel sprouts and side of asparagus. Everything cooked to a T.

Fine dining served in a more casual laid back atmosphere.

The table setting says fine dining.

We went for our anniversary dinner (and told them on the reservation). The host seated us at an odd location at first which was a table just inside the main dining area of the second floor but it was in the doorway. Our back was to the other side of the dining room that they turned off the lights to. (Aka: darkness)
We asked to switch seats to the balcony area over looking the atrium which was much more pleasant and romantic. I would highly suggest requesting for this.

We started off our meal with the duck wings.
They were not dry (a good point). The sauce was an orange sauce (duck is typically paired with it). I give it 4 stars.

Dinner comes with bread service served with a whipped butter. The bread rolls are served hot and fresh

Ribeye steak 5 stars
Grilled nicely, served at the right temperature. It hit all the right spots. You were able to cut it with a butter knife. My man cut it with his fork to show how tender it was at some points

Filet 11 oz Oscar style 4 stars
It just didn't compare to the ribeye. The extra cost of Oscar style seems worth it as it's a generous amount of lump crab and you get a few spears of asparagus as well. I do not have a huge appetite so if given the choice I would have gone for the ribeye.

White truffle Garlic mashed potatoes
Taste is 5 stars but if it's supposed to have white truffle I don't taste it which would drop it to a 4 if that's your expectation.

Baked sweet potato 3 stars
I wanted to love it, the sauce is paired with us very nice, but the sweet potato itself just didn't taste very good. Maybe it was a fluke we got a mediocre to bad one? I make sweet potatoes all the time and this one just wasn't ok got me.

I'd recommend a glass of the alias red to go with your steak. It was very good.

My husband booked it as an anniversary dinner, so we did get a complimenty New York cheesecake with a candle.

We ordered the banana bread dessert. 4 stars
I liked it, but I'm not a fan of cooked nuts in my dessert. If you like it, this might be a 5 for you.

Service was friendly and laid back. There were not many people in the restaurant the evening we went so the server had a lot of time to talk with us. He was genuine and seemed to enjoy his job.

This restaurant is located in the old market where the atrium is. Parking was typical of trying to find it in the old market, we came early and did not have a problem.
