I want to share a story about the absolute worst meal I ever had at Sweet Grass Grill last night. I was on a first date with a woman. I ordered the salmon and when it came the presentation was awful. The skin of the fish was on top instead of on the bottom, and I had to turn the piece of fish over to get to the fish. The fish had a terrible fishy taste and smell. I returned it, something I almost never to and especially in front of a date, and ordered something else which was the corn risotto. When it arrived it was basically a plate of creamed corn with no risotto, and the corn was over salted and was bitter. I dared not complain again in front of my date. When my date got up and went to the bathroom I got up and went to speak to the waiter to let him know how dissatisfied I was with the food. I didn't ask for any money back. When my date came back to the table, the waiter came back and said he had taken the meal off of the bill, and he also said that my attitude was bad. My date was flabergasted that he had just said that to me. I'm the customer.
Excuse me? My attitude? Stay away from this restaurant.

Came here for lunch in a weekday. Place was busy which is a good sign. The food was amazing. Tasty and a large portion.
My bf and I had Brunch here last wknd. I had the French toast (it was amazing) a side of bacon and lemonade. My bf had the farmers breakfast not sure of the exact name, it came with 1 large buckwheat pancake, 2 fried eggs and bacon. He drank the ice tea. Only 2 minor complaints we would have preferred to sit inside, no seating there so we sat outside it was hot but shady. My Lemonade was terrible it was basically lemon water and they put a sugar in there. The food was top tier though! Next time I'll have a mocktail!!

Food is great! Very comfortable and cozy spot. A unique and diverse menu that fits a lot of dietary needs. It’s definitely a go to spot for us when we’re in the area!

While waiting for our concert to start at the Tarrytown Music Hall, we decided to have dinner at the Sweet Grass Grill. What a good choice that was for burgers and a micro brewed IPA beer.
This was by far the best burger I have had in a long time. Cooked as requested, medium well, and prepared to look appealing. Served with either fresh cut salted fries or house salad with a simple dressing. Amazing! Try it.

I worked with George to organize a farewell luncheon a few weeks ago. We had 33 people and we used the back of the restaurant which was perfect! First, let me say that George was AMAZING. He communicated promptly about everything from the room availability to the menu to the price! And the food was really delicious. It's not easy to serve 33 people all at once and he and his staff did a great job! Thank you so much George! I know that everyone that attended really enjoyed themselves!

We like to come here before we go to the Jazz Forum for music. It’s a short walk between the two.

We especially like this place because it always has multiple vegetarian choices. We love their sister place called Grass Roots Kitchen (GRK). GRK food is truly delicious. The vegetarian options here, we had the Bucatini with cashew sauce and the Fettuccini Bolognese with mushrooms, are always good. Rarely delicious. The bucatini was meh and the fettuccini was good. Neither were excellent. This is often the case here. We’d also like to see more protein choices like tofu, seitan (bravo for the soy salmon on the menu), beans, etc.

Good menu here for all types of eaters. Burgers are excellent. Lots of local ingredients. Servers are friendly. Tarrytown has a great vibe.

Amazing service by the staff at Sweet Grass Grill. I was able to visit for lunch and pictured the blood orange margarita, mushroom cheesesteak and chicken sandwich with the kale Caesar. Their beet ketchup was truly amazing. Everything was delicious. The service was super attentive even with a busy lunch rush during the week. Reservations are recommended. Stop by at Sweet Grass for a quick meal and leave feeling satisfied. Looking forward to stopping by again

Amazing bbq, cool corner restaurant with southern charm, not a lot of sitting available, however in warmer days they do offer outside sitting. The menu offers great bbq classics such as brisket, pulled pork, bbq wings, ribs etc. We ordered a platter for two that came with an assortment of meats plus 2 delicious sides. I must say please get the corn bread, it was to die for. No full bar menu but they do offer a small assortment of beers and wine. We went on a Sunday and there was a short wait to get a table as the place was filled with large groups mostly families with kids. Parking is a bit of a headache but it’s worth the bit of struggle. Service was excellent, no complaints. Overall it was a great experience, definitely give this place a try.

Flawless smoked goods!!!! These fellas food is amazing, from A to Z or the rooter to the tooter. If you get food from here, your taste bud has just been leveled up. Fall off the bone, tender, mouth watering and the sauces out if the world. Much respect......🙏🏾💯

The hash browns were great!
the staff friendly. The didn’t do the change in food we asked for, but that happens everywhere sometimes. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict tasted a bit “out of a tub”, but again it tastes like that in most restaurants. Overall we were happy and would come again!

Bella's is a great local place to eat, I had one of their new items, it was a burger with ham on it, it was good but it was a little salty, but that is to be expected with ham.
The lady who waited on us was great and nice, there was no one there when we went, if I lived there I'd probably eat there more.
If you're visiting it is a great local place.

The food was good not sure i can justify the price though for what it was. A lil cramped inside and dimly lit but i guess its what gives it its rustic charm. Definitely not a casual dining experience so be prepared to spend money. Personally it wasn’t for me.
Absolutely wonderful place! LOVED their breakfast! It was one of those "food experiences" that only comes around every once in a while. Everything I ate tasted like it had been sourced only from the finest ingredients, and that the cook was exceptionally skilled. 👌 The atmosphere was so friendly, with regulars coming in, and cheerful waitresses making sure everyone was taken care of. We're from WV, but I can assure you that we'll be back every time we come to NY!

I was visiting Sleepy Hollow and happened upon this great BBQ spot in Tarrytown named Pik Nik. The food prepared here wakes up your taste bud in a delectable way. It was so good, it makes you want to lick your toes!!
I got BBQ wings with sweet potato wedges and baked beans.

Carl, who takes care of the shop, recommended a sauce for the wings and I can tell you it was a life changing event.

Whatever Carl recommends will be a great delight!!!

LOVED this place! they had such a fun seasonal menu with an incredible pumpkin cocktail (the pie-eyed pumpkin) and one of the most innoventive appetizers i've ever had - burrata cheese with a pumpkin donut. they were so accommodating when we showed up in a hurry, and the service was efficient and friendly. highly recommend, especially to anyone visiting tarrytown and sleepy hollow in the fall season!

Took a day trip to Tarrytown, and Sweet Grass Grill was even better than expected by reading the menu.

The food is DELICIOUS, truly interesting and fulfilling options, creative cocktails, and the service is fantastic (shout out to our server Amanda, who really was above and beyond in terms of service and care). I loved the town, but I can’t wait to come back to this restaurant specifically. Do NOT pass it up! It was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, but I will be back for a great night out in general.

P.S. Everything we had was great, but the Hen of The Wood Mushroom dish is amazing! Almost ordered a second one to go. Don’t even think twice about it.
I was in Tarrytown today and stoped by for lunch here! And wow! It was sop good! The place is nice and very clean. The service was very good and the food was even better!! I had their burger 🍔 and it was incredible!!! Perfectly cooked and delicious!!! Must try!

Small place with 2 outside tables for 2. Scan QR for Menu, Order, pay & they bring the food to your table when it’s ready. Orders a 1/2 Fried Chicken dinner with 2 sides & 2 box meats with 2 sides. The brisket & Fried Chicken was excellent. The rubs were dry. The French fries, sweet potato fries, Mac & cheese & beans were all good. Also ordered a loaf of cornbread (4 pieces), which still had the butter melting on top, was also good. Will be back again.

Been meaning to write this review for a while now, but let me tell you about our amazing experience here. This cozy restaurant is a hidden gem, and as BBQ enthusiasts, we were thrilled to check it out. And boy, were we impressed!

We decided to go all out and ordered a variety of dishes. The burnt ends and prime beef brisket were cooked to perfection, with that mouth-watering smoky flavor we crave. The sides like mac and cheese, baked beans with sausage, and potato salad with bacon were rich and full of flavor. The homemade country biscuit was light and fluffy, and the sweet potato wedges added a delightful twist.

Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, the chef surprised us with a plate of mini chicharrón. We couldn't resist, even though we were already stuffed!

The chef's personal touch truly stood out during our visit. He took the time to come out and check on us, engaging in friendly conversation. His passion for BBQ was evident and added that extra special touch to our dining experience.

Not only is the food fantastic, but it's also important to support local, black-owned businesses. We wish we lived closer, but we'll definitely be making the trip from the city again. Oh, and don't forget to try the peach cobbler for dessert—what a treat it was!

Some of the best BBQ in the Hudson Valley. Prime brisket is smoked & well rendered. Respectable ribs. Definitely recommend the burnt ends; large cubes of smoked brisket that are top notch (big portion too). Always check the daily specials- the smoked Pastrami Reuben was my favorite. House made sides are not an after thought (really liked the pickles & crispy slaw too).

After a long four plus hour drive to Tarrytown for business I looked up local restaurants and thought to myself, can’t go wrong with bbq! I ordered the fried free chicken sandwich (no tarter sauce), 1/2 lb of brisket and bread pudding. Food is never great to go so the scale varies but the brisket was good (bbq sauce may not be for everyone, very distinct), chicken sandwich was good (chipotle sauce may not be for everyone, very distinct) and the bread pudding was too wet for me. I wish I saw the specials before ordering but overall I would def give another try or recommend to non locals. Service was outstanding as well.

To be fair, the guy working the front seemed very busy from the moment we walked in until we left. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars,I had to physically walk up and ask for coffee after having asked twice for a refill. Our food was indeed delicious, but, the French fries were cold when delivered and I didn't get the Blu Cheese for my wrap and had to walk up and ask for it as well.
Lastly, the cook seemed to have a lot of free time to stare at us while the other two employees were busy. Less time being creepy more time cooking hot fries.
Wonderful little spot for breakfast, brunch. I came two days in a row because it was that good. Staff was very polite and friendly. I felt at home in here. The pancakes were so good. I also enjoyed their omelette. Good portion sizes and great flavor.

Brunch is pretty amazing. I really enjoy their omlets. Hashbrowns are pretty good too. Coffee is good as well. They have two sides of a menu to pick from so lots of choices. Chefs are awesome.

Staff is great. Super sweet, helpful, always have a smile and they remember you. 5 stars for them all the way. They remeber you and will bring your drinks before you ask. Ask for Alma. Shes the best.

They try their best to make you feel welcome and at home.

They've recently remodeled and took it from 'classic old diner' to a more modren and comfortable decor. Both were/are nice.

Deserts look amazing by the way.😍
