I've seen many plays and musicals over the last several years-- the talent and production can't be beat. Cebollas was an amazing new play with very talented actors and stellar writing. Mamma Mia, Tina, Hamilton, My Fair Lady, and Six were all quite powerful, energetic, and engaging. This recent production of Chicago was a let down. The main actresses had mediocre acting/ singing skills and lacked charisma. I was disappointed since I usually love that musical. Every other show has been incredible. Sometimes the sound engineering creates an effect on the Mezzanine level where the main vocals get completely drowned out by the instrumentals or it's too loud overall for entire songs, but otherwise my experience is wonderful. Please keep the quality coming!
I had a great time at the Ogden Theater seeing Matisyahu. I hope to see him again and come to other concerts
The space is small and intimate, which I enjoyed. I took my kiddo for his first concert, and we had a blast. I was not impressed with the guy who was running the food "stand." He was rude and dismissive. Maybe he was having a bad day. The coat check staff person was kind and bright. She even let my kiddo share a hanger with me instead of charging me for his little coat. PLEASE don't get her in trouble! I loved it here and look forward to other shows in the future.
This was our first time at Kilstrom theater, it's a very nice venue - theater in the round.

I love the look and feel of this theater. It is sleek but also warm. The stage is ingeniously set in the middle of the floor so everyone gets a great view.

The shows are great but what poor planning they have in terms of their shows. They could stager the end time so there isn’t the disaster of having multiple shows all leaving at the same time… while one of the exits is closed!! Made what was an enjoyable show an experience of utter frustration at having to sit in our parking space unable to move for over half an hour!! This should not happen, so if you see a show here find alternative parking and save yourself the headache of their inability to plan.
Ok venue. Our 1st time. Pretty decor that looks like it's under renovation. Only 3 ladies' bathroom stalls upstairs. I'm not sure if there are others. I don't recommend orchestra seats close to the stage if you have neck issues. Folding chairs in our section comfortable enough, but my nice coat became trapped when person sitting next to me sat down and put his seat down. Seats spaced a bit apart (they are tight together) would help. I'd guess this could be uncomfortable for larger patrons.
Great size for a venue and loved seeing Digable Planets here! Very personal connection to the stage and performers that you can't get elsewhere without paying through the nose for tickets.

I really like this venue. Two different performance spaces, each just the right size for the purpose. Intimate, yet large enough to hold plenty of people. Integrated parking makes it even more convenient. I love going to the Newman and I expect to do so many times in the future.
Getting in was fairly quick once the lines started moving. Staff was very helpful and none had an attitude or seemed irritated when asked. Bathrooms were clean. Snack and drink lines moved quickly during intermission. Though some people were dirty/lazy leaving their trash on the ground with trash cans not only on the way out but at the end of the isles the place was pretty clean. Love the art on the walls. Acoustics were fantastic. Parking wasn't to bad and multiple parking lots were close. Overall a great experience.
1/13/24- was here to see a show that my mother had won tickets to on the radio. It is a nice venue. The seats are small though and not made for bigger people, so it was uncomfortable sitting through the show. They had drinks and snacks before the show with a themed option of 'butter beer' that came in both an adult and kid version. Prices were on the higher side with small servings.
I’ve seen a couple comedians here. Both were really great shows! It has an old school vintage feel. The first show I went to was during a literal blizzard and I called the box office to see if the show was going to be canceled. The lady laughed and said we never cancel shows 😂. Love that! I ordered a glass of wine and it was a huge pour! One glass lasted the whole show! I definitely enjoyed seeing shows that I saw here! I look forward to seeing many more!
We had a lot of fun. The theater was beautiful and the seats were comfortable. We were thankful there were a lot of staff on hand to help find seats. Parking could have been better marked. We ended up on the north side of the building thinking the was only street parking, but we were happy to find there was a parking garage for event parking on the south side
This is an awesome venue! Saw Afroman and the Orchestrator. Both phenomenal acts. It's small, two story, pretty intimate. The crowd was great for the show I went to see.
Great venue right downtown just a block from coors field, so parking is very scarce(plan accordingly), staff is super friendly and the space itself has a good layout and it’s easy to find places to stand without being in the designated walkway. There’s also a pizza counter that you can buy slices from and the bar has a great selection of beers and liquor. All in all i think it’s one of the better General Admission venues in Denver. They could do with an update on there sound system and acoustics, the sound quality gets lost a little bit with all the background noise of a larger crowd.
This was my first time at the Paramount Theater! My husband & I went for our 11th anniversary to see Jimmy Carr! The staff were helpful and had a great sense of humor as well! The theater itself was beautiful! I can't wait to come back for more shows! (However, the snacks were sub-parr) 🤷♀️
One of my favorite venues in Denver! The venue is smaller so the floor is intimate, and the balcony with seating is a great alternate option. I wish there was a pizza window in every venue - one of my favorite aspects of seeing shows here.
Gorgeous, historical theater. Every seat is a good one, but it can get a little crowded. Seats are pretty close together. Great staff & the bar has everything you need. Love seeing shows here. Parking a block away is generally validated.
A priceless piece of Denver. Not only hosts the top Broadway traveling companies, but the local companies deliver performances at the highest level of professional regional theater. The DCPA has many theaters in its complex, including large traditional auditoriums suitable for major productions, smaller and more unconventional stages, opera, theater in the round, etc. Wonderfully managed, parking is (almost always) easy. Restaurants of every kind all over the place in walking distance. Only rub is big city prices for everything. But the experience equals what you find in NY, London and San Francisco.
The Paramount is a great venue and in a fantastic location. The seating is comfortable and the setting is appropriate for any performance.
My recent trip was to see Geddy Lee and it was a nice surprise that he was interviewed by Matt Stone.

Absolutely recommend taking the family to "A Christmas Carol" over the holiday season. We have made this an annual event. The cast is superb! The show is wonderful! The colors and the sets terrific! See you next year!
Went Saturday night with my friend and saw Spencer Brown who was great. Meghan opened up the show. She did a good set to get the crowd moving. It was an all ages show, but you could still purchase alcohol if you had ID. Some seating was available on a first come first served basis, and you can upgrade your ticket for balcony seating. Cheese or pepperoni pizza is also available as well as Liquid Death water ($5), and sodas.

Listen. It's worth it! No one takes in how much your environment or atmosphere makes or breaks an event or venue or circumstance or any of the above. I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish with my seat choice, the staff and definitely the play. It was a win! People are nosy regardless if they admit it or not... So the ability to stunt your outfit gravitate aesthetically to others. It was just great
Decent venue for the area being a little smaller than others nearby. Depending on the type of show you're seeing can be nice or a little awkward. I went for a rock concert & the tiered flooring doesn't work that well for a mosh pit or crowd surfing, not impossible though.
Also, the show I went to I'd purchased a quick pass for early entry but staffed seemed surprised about it when I asked when I could go in. Was put in front of the line by one staff member then told the lines back there by another. Was eventually first one in at doors time with everyone else so wondered what the point of paying for the upgrade was.

What the heck? Arrive early they said! Have a cocktail while you wait except there is not a single place to sit to enjoy a cocktail or the company of others! Not at all welcoming! You need furniture. And the security! You use a state of the art system that will detect weapons yet you still check bags and wand. I had nothing that set off the system. Why the redundancy? #dobetter
A unique perspective considering I was helping with the music venue. Sound was good, ambiance/vibe was fantastic as the the band out in overtime playing to an enthusiastic and appreciative crowd that hung in until the very last note. Kudos to Broco y Ramon Bell I staff and security!
I had ever been to Boettcher Hall, and it is perfect for listening to the Denver Symphony. Great acoustics! Arrangement of the seats allows the perfect view to watch the orchestra perform from the round stage they play from
Every seat is a good seat in this theater in the round. It's small and comfortable. I wasn't crazy about the show, Clyde's though the performances were very good and the set, the kitchen of a diner, was the most unusual I've seen. They made real sandwiches with real food on working equipment just as in an authentic diner kitchen. For me, the show's story wasn't relatable, so I didn't particularly enjoy it.
Hadn't been here in years. Professional and friendly staff, inside and outside the Theatre. The Entertainment, Straight-No Chaser were top notch. Great place to see a show. Hopefully the next phase of street construction will go fast and smooth.
We saw two performances: a play ("Clyde's) and the Colorado Symphony. Both were terrific! The respective halls were good--reasonably comfortable, clear views and good enough acoustics at the Symphony Hall. All in all, two terrific experiences.

Really enjoyed seeing Switchfoot here. The venue staff did a good job pre checking ID while we were in line so that when doors opened it was pretty easy getting inside. We were able to bring in a water bottle but had to empty the water before entering. Once inside there was a good place to fill it back up. We also had a few snacks in our backpack which they let us in with but suggested that we needed to limit it to just a bare minimum next time. There is really no seating in this venue so plan to be standing for quite a few hours. You are best off bringing only what you can carry on your body because there's not a lot of good place to put things down either. Great show, good staff. Positive experience!
The decor and intimacy are lovely. Fairly comfortable seats as well, and nice audio. Validated parking often offered at nearby garages, but be prepared for a HUGE line up wait aftershow to get out.

We saw a wonderful play, Clyde. The whole experience was just awesome! We were able to exchange our seats for different ones and st together. We ordered and took.our alcoholic drinks into the theater. The sound was top-notch, every seat was a good seat for viewing. The cast was amazing and the volunteers seating us were super helpful.
Sound and seating are excellent, they have a variety of styles and performers. There is a small bar for drinks before performances and you can take drinks purchased there in. I'm 6ft 1" with a 31 inch inseam, the seats had plenty of room for my legs. Bravo!
Always enjoy a show here! Bartenders are quick and friendly, sound and lighting is solid, and theres a bunch of different angles to catch a view. Manager "Paz" is also super friendly and helpful! 😁

We went to see a comedy show, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. Fun show if you get a chance to see it.
The seats were super comfy and roomy. The theatre felt very clean and well maintained. Massive open space with large screens on each side of the stage so you could see the performance up close.

Went here to see Nothing But Thieves, and before coming, I checked the website and called about what camera is allowed. My camera checked the boxes and when I arrived they told me no, because it looked too professional. It's 2010, point and shoot, and I was looking forward to using it. I was very disappointed with that.
I suggest they are more explicit on the cameras they allow, including dimensions and examples. "We mean like 20 dollars point and shoots" is what the woman told me. In today's age, where can you get a 20 dollar point and shoot?

This is a great venue to see a concert. We literally flew across the country to see The Wombats, and this was a great place to see them.
Security did a very good job of getting folks in and out. Overall, I really enjoyed seeing the show there.
It's walking distance from the Hampton Inn. We had a very nice walk to and from the venue. Since there is so much residential near it, people were still out, even on a Sunday Night.
There is a hotel near the venue, but it doesn't have a lobby and I wouldn't recommend staying there.

A nice staple in Downtown Denver if you want to watch a show or just to walk through. The place was kinda surprisingly clean for a place in downtown, working elevators, great sculptures, and great views. Worth coming here to hang out or catch a show here.
James Bay, September 2023. Charming, intimate venue with seating & tables upstairs & downstairs. Great view of the stage from multiple angles on 2nd floor balcony. Fully staffed bars on 1st & 2nd floors with multiple staircases. Good organization by event staff to check driver’s licenses prior entering venue to issue arm bracelets for those of & under drinking age. Local businesses open for parking less than one block from venue for $20. Only drawback was indigents across the street yelling loudly but event staff closely monitored safety of attendees.
Great venue! Saw Joy Aludakon here and was impressed with the venue. Getting in was well-organized and easy. Ample bathrooms. Sound quality is outstanding. I appreciated they had several alcoholic drink options. There are an extremely limited number of stools upstairs along the rail that are first-come, first-served.
This was our first time visiting...we saw Jvke which was awesome! This is a great small music venue which let's you feel the music!! Loved seeing Jvke here! Intimate although it's a little tight and people get a little pushy sometimes! We were right up front which was awesome!!!

It was VERY cool here. It's small so very up close and intimate. From what I know all/mostperformers have a "disability " some seen and some not. That was honestly one of the best parts! Not everyone would still get the opportunity to live out a dream or act and be judged so I love that this theater is all Inclusive and specifically includes. It was a cool experience would go again.
The Denver Performing Arts Complex is a great campus of entertainment. Really close to good food, great parking - pretty much on site, and a really nice stage and auditorium. We went for Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill musical. Excellent show. We were in the mezzanine in the center. Would buy these tickets again.

We went to see Less Than Jake, and they were great! Getting into the venue didn't take too long, and the staff was nice. There are definitely smaller venues, but it's been pretty crammed every time I've been there. The thing I dislike about this venue is the bathroom location. Way down by the stage makes no sense. I didn't need them, but saw people fighting their way through the crowd to get there all night
Attended a graduation at Bellco Theatre. It is conveniently located inside the Denver Convention Center. This is a large size theatre with the amenities you would expect. The restrooms are large. The backstage area is large as well. I did not go to the green rooms and can not speak on that. There are large open spaces and plenty of areas for photos, cell phone charging areas, and is easily accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
Really good experience! A little more intimate space for concerts. They keep the lines moving pretty well, too. Just wish parking was a bit easier.
Great theater for the Psychedelic Science meetings. Overall, the convention center rooms were too small for the massive crowds. Buy, the actual theater was very nice!
I went to see a show for Denver dance festival. The performance was cancelled "healing". Few days before the show I received email from someone telling me that my barcode is not going to work and that there would be a thiket waiting for me at the door. That I would be reimbursed, and apologies for the inconveniences.
At the door of the theater was an Asian lady, white almost hair, short with glasses.
Her tag said volunteer.
She was extremely rude nasty and humiliated me and made me feel not welcome, not at the right place and just discriminate and hated..
I waited my torn to address the matter with the thiket.
She interrupted me saying:" the show was cancelled because one of the dancers is sick!"
I turned on side and show her the note on the side of her advertising the show I had thiket for.
She said. No I can't help you! I must help other people!!!! She turned out like I don't exist and continue scanning other people. She ignored me for some time.
Then I try to Scan my thiket which didn't work.
Rudely she addressed me to go to the thiket box. She was rude and none welcoming..
It give me that feeling that I am in a mental health facility with hostile and hateful people.
Just very discriminatory and not friendly.
On the thiket box I was provided thiket.
I scanned it and entered.
The show was very good.
But it just give me that feeling of being abused, neglected, ignored and humiliated.
It's just not okay to be mistreated, or disrespected in a place like that.
I don't not wish that "experience" to anyone.

Perfect theater for a concert. Just the right amount of seating and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The large lobby makes for plenty of room for conversations before the concert. Acoustics were wonderful and there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the place. Parking was affordable and right next door. Great way to spend an evening.
First time in Denver, also first time at Buell Theatre. Flew in for the weekend to see Riverdance 25th anniversary show.

Streets are clean, wife and I felt perfectly safe. There is lots of night life along the strip - fantastic experience all around.
We couldn't have been more pleased with our weekend in Denver, and we will DEFINITELY come back for more shows in this beautiful venue!

Really great intimate 360 degree immersive theater with every seat a good seat, even the back row. Beautiful minimalist sets for “Hotter Than Egypt” which was a most excellent play. The signs in the hallway were lovely and a nice touch as you left the theater too. Will continue coming back to see more great theater shows.
Love this complex even if it’s quite a drive away from Colorado Springs. I usually find parking elsewhere down the street cuz the attached garage is quite pricy. Gorgeous design to the open area complex housing the gateways to many different shows and plays. Gorgeous to walk around outside before your show starts. Many different theaters within the same connected complex. Be sure to check ahead of your trip to see if there are street closures or construction. Give yourself extra time to get settled and not have to rush or be late to your show.

We attended a show at the Temple Hoyne Buell Theater in May. The entire venue was spectacular! It is well maintained and very clean. The staff and our VIP experience host were exceptional! They provided a safe, secure, and professional experience. We only experienced an issue with a bar tender. He had a difficult time understanding our requests and we ended up paying for 2 extra drinks twice! It was too difficult to try and reverse the cost. It would have taken too much time and energy to fix it. We just hope it wasn't happening to more guests. Elizabeth the door greeter was phenomenal recognizing us we re-entered as VIPs after a quick break outside and she was present when the show was over asking how our experience was. She made it very special. A suggestion would be to have security present outside the doors for guests who exit and re-enter. The sound and lighting for the show was spot on!
Newman Center for the Performing Arts has a beautiful performance space. The usher team was helpful. I had some trouble hearing the soloist. I wasn’t sure whether that was due to the small instrument or the acoustics.
My wife and I went to see the CCD production of Evil Dead: The Musical and had an amazing time! I was very impressed by what the tech crew managed to put together with such a small space. The show itself was a laugh riot full of jokes and all the camo you'd expect from a Raimi horror film turned stage production. A live band played the music and even had a costume change at intermission! Really fun effects and you know we bought some white shirts for our seats in the Splash Zone where we got absolutely covered in fake blood during some of the most climactic scenes! Even the "expensive" Splash Zone seats were super affordable and I can't wait to go and see any other shows CCD puts on. You can tell everyone involved was having a great time and the cast nailed it. Do yourself a favor if you can and go see Evil Dead: The Musical, and if you can't make it I know this cast and crew will do an amazing job on their other shows as well. If you are looking for an affordable date night and want to support the arts look no farther than the CCD theater!
Stopped by a lovely spring day. Stunning tunnel structure with a view of the Rockies invites you into the area. Eight floors, tons of theaters and busy hum makes this a welcoming spot. Lots of great angles for an in promptu photography shoot. Just as we were leaving, a big parade showed up and turned into the main concourse. Lots of kids celebrating (?) - maybe a Shakespearean support stroll? Looked fun and lots of applause erupted as they turned in. A fun surprise on a morning stroll.
Beautiful venue! Not large. Great elevated box seats. We saw the Denver Brass Celtic performance. Sound and acoustics were excellent. Only negative was the concession stand. Very limited munchy snacks. A 10oz glass of wine was $15.
Can I give 6 stars? The options of music and performances, the walkway and the beauty of it all! Symphony was beyond what I imagined and the only way to describe how the music feels is to go see them in person. It is a totally different experience watching the director/violins/challis/oboes etc live in person, compared to hearing the concerto on the radio or a download. And there’s Not a bad seat in the house if you ask me.
Such a great place to see a play! So many theater options, from Broadway to local shows. Musicals, drama and comedy. Symphony is wonderful as well. Decent places nearby for a drink or bite and several of the venues host private functions as well. Always a stimulating artistic adventure!
My husband and I saw A Christmas Carol on December 22nd at 7pm. It was packed and the show was AMAZING! The cast was just fantastic and the special effects made it kinda scary actually so we were impressed.
Of course, you are not attending a public show unless a few people in the audience get confused and think they are the main event...This was the case for us as two teenagers behind us were talking the whole entire show.
That did not spoil it though as the show was still a lot of fun and a cup of wine helped the immersion.
This was one of those nights where it was in the negatives so it was very cold on our way out. We also had to go to the 7th floor of the parking garage despite getting there 45 minutes early (there are multiple plays going on at once so keep that in mind).

Intimate theater where every seat is a great seat.
