Such a cool spot inside Sapphire Falls - the vibe was relaxed and very "island". Being a rum house, I had to try a signature cocktail and the server was knowledge and recommended the perfect one based on my likes. The curry goat was delicious!!! And was also recommended by our server. Tapas was a great way to go after being out in the heat all day.

Will follow back but, TLDR:
Come and eat, come and drink, Todd is awesome

Food:
- Had the griot after not seeing any pictures. Delicious. Don’t sleep on their plantains. The “burnt” ends had such a rich sweetness to them. And the pork, just falling away at the end of a fork. The chimichurri was delicious. The oil had the right amount of heat and you could scale up
-Tequenos. Other reviews were spot on, but had to highlight the texture. It was like a chicken cordon bleu without the chicken. Which sounds odd but the texture of the cheese was just right. Chewy without being squishy and the sauce was phenomenal. A hint of ham so it felt filling
-banana bread pudding. Yes. Ice cream. Best. Buy twice.

Price breakdown: 2x drinks, 2x meals, 1x dessert. Total = $75

This was our fourth visit to Strong Water Tavern. The food is always fantastic and the service is outstanding! You must remember that this establishment serves Tapas, not full-sized meals. The goal is to order several things from different parts of the world and share. On this visit, we had the Grilled Octopus and the Jerked Chicken. The Octopus was cooked perfectly with the right amount of char. The Jerk Chicken was seasoned with the right amount of spices and the meat was very juicy. (I'm married to a Jamaican woman so I know what I'm talking about.) Our waitress, Demi, was out of this world! She was very attentive and we didn't have to wait for anything. I highly recommend Strong Water Tavern. They are top-notch!

Strong Water Tavern is located inside the "Sapphire Falls" resort at Universal.
Once you enter the lobby, continue straight back, and you will see the check-in desk. We arrived before our reservation and were seated immediately.

This restaurant is tapas style, so small plates to share. We tried the arroz con Pollo, jerk chicken, black Angus beef sliders, beefsteak empanadas, and chicken tenders. Each dish tasted delicious, and we had zero complaints.

The open seating area was scenic. Could see the universal resort area, the canal and the man-made waterfall from the top. That was a beautiful experience.

Coming to the food, the vegetarian options were too less. But, the options available there tasted good, especially their vegetable hot pot and Curry veggies were delicious among the vegetarian food.
In the non veg options, we loved Chicken tenders with steak fries, Goat Curry were top notch. Jerk Chicken was below our expectations as we find it to be just the grilled chicken.
In the desserts, Mexican Chocolate Cake was good, and Tres Leches was passable.

We had to wait for more than an hour to get our orders on the table. But, what a service! The server was pretty friendly and attentive to the order. We couldn't find the non alcohol drinks. Upon request, he got us Virgin Mojitos and they were great. Overall, one happening experience.

We had a first class experience with Manny at the Strong Water Tavern. The cocktails were excellent and the food is some of the best we have had in Florida. Everything tasted fresh and we enjoyed everything about our experience! We will definitely return on our next trip 😊

This was my first time at the restaurant. The customer service was amazing, very friendly and helpful staff. I got a large oxtail, small curry goat, small cow foot, 1/2 pound of jerk pork, 3 slices of black cake, 2 bun and cheese, and 1/2 dozen spicy beef and 1/2 dozen mild beef patties.
The presentation of the food was very appetizing and I was looking forward to having dinner with my family.
When I got home, (I live about an hour away) the jerk pork was missing, the black cake had way too much rum and tasted almost bitter. The bun wasn’t baked through, the oxtail and the goat were really salty but the cow foot was alright.
The spicy patty was also on the salty side.
I expected a better experience with the food since the restaurant was recommended to me. For the amount that I spent, $136, I expected better.
Today may have been an off day for the cook, but when it comes to customer service, they are top shelf.

I ordered an oxtail patty with coco bread and was very disappointed. First of all, please put some oxtail in the patty, tasted more of the patty crust, and coco bread than the oxtail. It definitely was not worth whatever I spent. My advice is to pass on this item. While eating the patty, I thought about the old Wendy's commercial, when the old lady says "where's the beef"

Wonderful and friendly service and absolutely delicious food. I live in Casselberry, but I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever in the area. All the way off the chain! Love it

I have been coming to this spot for over 13 years and they have always been generous with their portions. However, today I was shocked by how little my portion was of the Rasta pasta. I ordered a small and there was still so much space left in my container. Normally they fill the container. I was also only given 4 pieces of shrimp. When I went inside to speak with the manager she said that the person who served me was new and that she doesn’t know that everyone gives larger portions. Despite this she still didn’t do anything to remedy the situation. The customer service today was honestly the worst I’ve experienced from a restaurant ever.

While the service was great the food was horrible. Got a plate of Oxtail with rice and peas. Absolutely disappointed. Food tasted as though the cook pored an entire 26 Oz of salt on it and didn't use any other seasonings. Completely let down.

.-From walking in the door the staff looks like they don’t wanna be there prices are outrageous I’m thinking cause they have like 10 workers just to make plates and us the customers are taking the hit $18 for 4 lil rubbery bone oxtails and white rice $9 for 2 fryed chicken thighs cut with no sides make it make sense spent $32 and was still hungry won’t be back feel like I was robbed if you’re charging high prices, give the people the food don’t be skimpy spend ur money else where !!!! Oxtails were absolutely delicious! They gave me a big portion, and they were so tender and flavorful. That flavor makes the difference!

I'm not sure if they have changed the chef in the past year or so, but the quality of their food has fallen way off. The food is not seasoned as well as they used to. The first time I experienced it, I thought it was a "one off." I have been there about 4 times since then, and it has been consistently below standards. It doesn't help that the customer service is mediocre at best.

The food is good here, but do not order food off Uber eats. This is like my second time ordering food from Uber eats and they always tend to give you the driest food. They don’t follow the details that you described for what you want.

I asked for extra gravy they put whatever portion the meal usually comes with vegetables it didn’t come with vegetables on the Uber eats and I got the driest chicken. This is like the second time this happened..I am not ordering from Uber eats anymore because they are Not competent to follow instructions.

I go there all the time and I usually buy different foods every now and then I get a craving for kalalu but it's always so salty I could only eat several spoons of its just way to much salt

Everything nice but the food be to salty to the point you can't eat it and spend more money buying food elsewhere. I personally know a lot of ppl that bought food from here and they say the food too salty. Please calm down pon de salt, we do want to support this V.I restaurant as long as we can enjoy eating what we buy. 🇻🇮

If there was 6/5 I would. At very least for the service. Dani was superb: attentive, helpful and not overbearing. Her advice was solid and she would expertly probe into what we want.
The pace of the restaurant is great - they bring the first portion quick so you won't feel hangry and then slowly space out so you would have time for a good conversation.
Last but not least - the food quality is superb.

Love their spinach patties. Have to get there mid day for fresh patties. Actually I recommend buying everything during this time. Everything is fresh and hot.

I had been craving a beef patty with coco bread for a while being from New York it's hard to find that in Tampa. So when I found this golden out in Orlando where I was staying for a few days I was very happy.I went in and ordered 2 mild with coco bread. im quite familiar with this franchise and also the local bakeries in Brooklyn and Queens, the patties I got did not seem fresh the meat was cold and hard. I liked the lady who helped me more than I did the food. Maybe an off day I hope that's the case. Too expensive to not be top-notch

As soon as you walk in you'll get nasty attitudes. You'll ask the ladies a question they’ll look at you like you have 2 heads then reply with idk. Great customer service and communication is key and will take your business along way. But obviously they don’t know or understand. As much as I love the food it’s now time to find another Caribbean restaurant.

I was very disappointed and the dough for the Johnny cake and the pate. Only the oxtail was cooked good. The mac & cheese was salty. I had very high hopes for this place as they represent the VI but they definitely missed the mark for my order.

This is my second time in Orlando and eating here. The food is good, spicy, and flavorful. The meat portions are small, so they tend to load you down with rice, but the rice is so good I can't complain. My husband had the oxtails, and they were seasoned well, just not falling off the bone. A take out place that doesn't have any bells or whistles, just good food to go.

this is literally the worst location ever the lady at the register. I don’t know if she is a part of the ownership or what but her attitude is nasty no matter where you go in there she’s not friendly she does not smell she does not welcome you the workers are lazy and every time I go in there is something different now I can’t get an express now. Hey, I can’t eat this the taste the smell is horrible I’m not coming back for my money back I don’t want another fish all I want you to do is throw that batch away because you are going to make someone sick today, they told me well The main lady Manager is not here so she’ll give you a call back with your concerns do you think I got a call back? No I was out of $18 on a fish that I couldn’t even eat every time you go in there is something different. The food is going way downhill , the worst I hear from everybody they may not leave reviews but tonight took the cake for me so I’m leaving a review because I live literally two minutes away from this place so I eat here all the time it sucks because I just keep on giving them the benefit of the doubt because one day its perfect the next day is horrible but it’s always OK when the dark skin lady with the pulled back ponytail at the register is not there her energy is just super depressing and evil unfortunately, and I’ve encountered multiple people who have experienced her. This is an IYKYK kind of location lol, from the outside you can't tell the greatness but once you step in... just know you're gonna have some of the BEST virgin Island food of your life! The patties.... the PATTIES... unmatched! Literally the best patties I've ever had in my life! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! They have fresh juice as well!

The packaging was on point! Sealed, leakproof, and included everything you needed! The food...OMG...where do I begin?!

The Oxtail dinner was a 10/10! Filled with oxtail and heavy gravy! The rice and peas, cabbage, plantains, and dumpling were all 10/10!! The Jerk chicken was great, just a tad drier than my liking for dark meat! But, they included white bread and extra jerk sauce! Which is PERFECTLY spiced! The cocoa bread brought me back to my trip to Ocho Rios and was perfect for dipping up the extra oxtail gravy! The beef paties were my only negative, as the filling just lacked flavor and spice (I ordered spicy) that I would expect. But the pastry was flaky and tasty. It may be good for you, as everyone has different taste buds, but it just didn't hit for me. LASTLY, the black rum cake was 100/10!! You could taste the Appleton all through! It is absolutely tasty, with a nice dense consistency.

Overall, this is an AMAZING place that you can tell, takes pride in the food they prepare, and the service they deliver! Best Caribbean spot in Orlando!!

I placed an order 2 days for a simple order of 24 patties went to pick up my order today and when the person got there they tried to give her cold patties that I did not order I asked for a refund and the manager who was completely rude ignored me and denied me my refund that sauce is a third party and that my issue. Management is rude, service is horrible I just want my complete refund with tip. Sunshine Caribbean bakery is the worst and I will never be back. I need my complete refund of $84.41 which is including the tip that was automatically added. I will never do business with that business either again. I need a full refund back to my card immediately since the stupid manager doesn't know her job. I will be there tomorrow in person to get my refund of sauce doesn't give me my refund today. I hate this business I'm still in such shock of what happened because it was no reason for it

how do I make a formal complaint to the owner on the manager on duty? She refused to give her name but I do have a picture of her. She completely walked away from me and was extremely rude without me even saying anything. I asked for the best where to reach out to sauce the lady told me she doesn't know and I need to figure it out because sauce is a third party. I told I went on the restaurant direct website to placed my order and it directed me to sauce. She completely ignored me and walked away from the phone she was shouting and yelling over the phone before I even said anything, I had to ask her numerous time to calm down which she instead yell more. Wanted curry goat. Got, already in the pan curry chicken. Extra mid and bland. No spice.. Clearly not marinated. Just sitting in curry oil water. Seasoning was only on the surface. Tender tho, but that's not hard with chicken. Pine hills native half white boy and I can do better. Can prove it too. Don't even have to cut the bones up. Sad I skipped wings for this. Customer service and ambiance was great tho.

I like to stop in at a Golden Krust whenever I am out this way. I buy take out cooked food and patties. The food is so delicious! I just enjoy the reggae music and being around Jamaican people feels like home.

My husband went there today, and he bought 2 meals. He asked to please put the bananas on the side on a to go order because I don't like it when the rice gets mixed with the banana liquid, but they wanted to charge him more because they just don't want to give a .03 bowl for free. Awful customer service. They are willing to lose a customer for 3 cents. Also, when we tasted the food, it wasn't that good. Everything was dried, and we didn't like the flavor. I will not go back there again, and I don't recommend it

The food is phenomenal! I've eaten here a couple of times traveling from Texas and everything that I've had has been life changing.

The food wasn't bad and I would have given this place a better rating, but because of my paying experience I give this place 1 star. As I was paying my bill I was told to put my card back in a second time in their card machine and because of this I ended up paying a second bill. Just to be sure I checked my bank account and sure enough the two transactions was there. I showed the restaurant staff the two charges on my account and I was told to come back tomorrow because it still showed pending. My situation was not taken seriously and I felt dismissed. Any other professional business would have reimbursed me for the bill that wasn't mine, but instead I was told by Golden Krust staff to call my bank and have them deal with it and come back tomorrow if it went through and show them my receipt even though they already saw what had happened. This is very unprofessional conduct and that's not how you treat customers.I won't be coming back here no matter how good the food is because of my experience. If you decide to still come here, please DO NOT use your debit/credit card. I would not want anyone else to go through what I went through and now I have to get my bank involved in something that could have been settled at the restaurant. Be safe out there! Scammers come in all places and businesses.

I just got off the plane here in Orlando and this was my first stop. I ordered jerk chicken, rice and cabbage. It was soooo good. The jerk chicken was fresh off the grill. This is the best place place for Jamaican food in Orlando!!

I just happened to stop here as I was passing by and I’m so happy I did. The food was sooo good especially the jerk chicken and cabbage 😋. Pretty good jerk chicken and oxtail. The chicken was a little dry, but the jerk seasoning was great. I wish they had also seasoned the vegetable and rice and beans a little more. We wanted to try the patties, but unfortunately they were out. Service was friendly, and food was ready quick. Prices are reasonable for the generous portions. We'll have to come back to try the patties

The Jerk chicken was my favorite!! just so juicy, well seasoned, and delicious, the cabbage was excellent too and their special Jerk sauce was out of this world!! Overall, I had a great experience eating authentic Jamaican food and will definitely go back soon.

Ordered via Uber eats, it was my first time ordering from Golden Crust. I got the curry chicken it came with rice and peas, cabbage. Two mild beef patty and large sweet plantains. The food taste good. I was really in the mood for some Caribbean food so they were my choice for today.

Ordered some oxtails from them on Uber Eats and was mightily impressed with how delicious everything was. The oxtails were amazing,cabbage was delisious and mac and cheese was perfect. Prices were fair and overall I highly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended!

My partner and I visited the Island Moon Bar & Grill inside the Caribbean Sunshine Bakery. We both got the small oxtail plate, one with macaroni and cheese and the other with rice and peas. We also got an order of saltfish bakes. They only come in an order of three, which was totally fine. The entire meal was absolutely delicious. The oxtail was seasoned well and fell off the bone. The saltfish bakes were made fresh to order and were great also only thing missing was a tiny bit more salt. We were helped by a super nice lady but I forgot her name:/. We will absolutely be back when we are in town!

Amazing food made right out front on the smoker!! The guy is really amazing for a one man show!! Looks like he usually has a great atmosphere with music but he had forgotten his cds the day we visited! 🤷‍♀️ But we also got to see an insane drug bust happen right in the parking lot around us!!! 😬😱

Stumbled across this place on Sunday. Tristan and his colleague are wonderful people. Passionate about music and flavorful food. Best Jamaican food we have had for a LONG time.
We ordered Jerk and brown chicken with rice and veg, it was outstanding! Love the English flag in the shop too.

Pretty decent Caribbean spot with friendly staff but not worth my $60 for 3 season less flat fish , watery-salt less cabbage not even sweet plantains was given with large size shame

This is one of our, my wife and I, favorite spots for Jamaican 🇯🇲 food. For the best oxtail, here is the place. They load the container so you have enough and leftovers.
Staff are courteous. We approach with courtesy and receive the same.
Beef patties is another favorite. Ordered the day before, in person, and picked up patties, the following day and time for the Christmas party 12/2023 for my tour of duty maintenance department and had rave reviews from my coworkers. The spicy were gone in a flash. It's tasty 😋 food for on the go, brown paper bag style.
By the way, my reviews will be low for any who do not remedy their mishaps. High reviews for any who mend their errors appropriately.

I had to write a review to show my appreciation. I searched hard to find a catering company for my wedding this past April and I’m so happy that I chose Caribbean sunshine bakery. I will admit that I was very nervous, but Mr. daily and his crew did NOT disappoint. Miss Virginia and Kerriann worked very hard over the course of 4 months to ensure that I had the Haitian/Jamaican cultural collaboration of my choice for both the cocktail hour and reception. They never became short with me even when I was overwhelmed. They were able to accommodate me by making things that were not on their menu. You just have to ask and You’ll shall receive!!! Mr. Daley was patient, kind and very understanding. He created art in food and brought my vision to light. The chef and servers were respectful and professional. My guest are still talking about the food. I am so Grateful for them and I’ll be using them again to cater for any large event.

Dominican restaurante, chipotle style. Meaning that you order what is already cooked and served in tray. Rice, beans and protein.
You will not find a healthy option, but you will find a large portion.
Also decent prices. You can also eat inside or do like many people do, simply take it to go.

Great for a quick bite, food was good. Friendly staff, I enjoyed that the staff spoke English and Spanish. I did expect the food to have a bit more flavor.

Drove by this place and wanted to give it a try. I got jerk chicken with cabbage and Mac and cheese… The chicken was very good and seasoned well. But they didn’t put jerk sauce on top, just gravy from the stew chicken. The rice was good as well. The portion sizes fit the price you pay, which is reasonable. I wanted to try a patty, but they didn’t have any. For the price and the flavor, I’ll definitely return.

Came here because of the reviews and this place didn't disappoint. Food is fresh and very flavorful. My husband and I ordered the ox tails and they were so good my daughter ordered the jerk chicken and she loved it. Service is great all the ladies working there are really nice and attentive and keep the huge line of customers moving. Will definitely visit again.

Good here is absolutely delicious! Tu casa always comes through!! They are open late compared to other similar locations in the area. The crew is always so helpful and let me tell you, this place definitely takes care of their community. I needed food for a school sports event at Freedom High and they helped with the biggest smile and donated a lot of food. Also, the catering prices is the cheapest in the area and the most delicious. Love this place, feels like home every time I visit.

Good Jerk Chicken, but the patties were a little bit of a disappointment. The dough was not as flaky as it could have been and the filling was just ok. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. Service was friendly. I'd come back for more jerk chicken and to try the curry goat.

This dive is the one thing we can't stop talking about after our most recent visit to Florida. The area seemed a bit rough. Well worth the stop ! The food and fresh juices...... we couldn't get enough. Infact we ordered an entire round to go itvwas so good. The ratings don't do this place justice.

Was amazed to go in Jamaican style restaurant and not have to wait. Not even for fish. This were ready. They were out of salt fish already just after opening. Staffvwas friendly food was hot. Mouth watering and amazing service!!! They had so much to choose from that taste just like the islands. Superb service from the girls with a smile. This place has drinks from the islands and everything was made fresh. The jerk meat pie was flaky and tasty. The ribs were full of flavor and lots of meat. The cabbage had just enough snap and lots of flavor too. You have to try this place!

340 satisfied my craving for conch in butter sauce, fungi and green banana. Food was delicious but the price listed online is way less than what I was charged. Online prices needs to be updated.

The staff is so nice that I thought this was a Mom and Pop, only location store. What a pleasant surprise it was to visit, sample their very delicious shrimp dish, and then...dessert! See the photos I posted. It was late in the day so there wasn't a full display case laden with mouth-watering treats. It worked out fine because one slice was enough for me! When back in town I will visit again.

I rarely ever give any restaurant a 5 star rating but this one is totally different , the minute you walk in and you feel you arrived at the islands , the music , the smiles and the whole atmosphere is amazing . Food wise, it’s out of this world . The goat curry , chicken curry and the oaks tail is amazing amazing amazing and all of this with huge quantities and at very affordable price $8.95. Best island food in Florida .

Long local dive bar. Been hopping in this place on and off for over 10 years. Beers are priced great. They don't always serve food from what I gather. But I've seen people bring in takeout from a couple of the good restaurants in the same strip mall. Parking at times can be tight.

Great bar, inexpensive, friendly staff clean. Security is always aware and available. They also do private events day/night.

Unbeatable prices and service.

Really bad customer service. Called requesting some details regarding a sports event and the uneducated who answered the phone was yelling and asking me who I was instead of answering my questions. She even was guessing my nationality like if that matters. No cabe duda que el lugar es de mala muerte. I don't recommend it.
