The docents really know a lot about the history of the Adobe, and a lot about the history of the Los Angeles area. I was quite impressed. Thank you Buck for the very interesting and informative tour!
I luv this place. The guide was so kind and answered all my questions. Even invited me to be a volunteer there cuz I have history background.
Very informative tour led by a very nice gentleman.
Great place to visit
The best volunteers Thank you for all the information ❤️
Interesting, well preserved adobe. The old Lankershim Reading Room has been moved there as well. The Southern Pacific Railroad shanty is something I have never seen before
If you live in the valley it's a must! Visit this piece of valley history. You will learn a lot!!!
We really enjoyed the tour of the house and learning the history of the place and how it ties into the history of Los Angeles. I was especially impressed by the collection of various antiques, numerous clothing pieces, hats, purses and ladies' fans. I definitely recommend this place.
A very interesting place if you're interested in San Fernando historical stories.
I didn't know this existed till today. I love this place.
This is a museum in the San Fernando valley it's a great place for tourist so that you can learn the history of the San Fernando valley. I recently took the tour and guy was very knowledgeable of the residents who used to live there was very nice on the many questions that I had asked.
This place is amazing. So much history of the valley and the docients r volunteers. There's much to learn and historic relics to bring the past to life. An awesome way to spend Mondays.
Thank you for your efforts to preserve the valley's history!
It's an incredible and very rare historic site. Rarely do you get to see the wealth of historical artifacts for the San Fernando valley and have those items be intact. The Adobe itself is beautifully preserved, although some changes had been made to the original structure it still has it's authenticity. Many thanks to the people who maintain this place.
Nice park -slow down around the bend or you'll miss the entrance and getting back is not easy! The park is nice, small but full of history -it is also the HQ for the San Fernando Valley Historical Society. The adobe is very well kept but access is difficult -you can only walk around the premises.
Andres Pico Adobe Park is a nice little park that is composed of plenty of grass that allows for you to host a good amount of people for your next outdoor event. There are a few trees to provide some shade, but not much towards the center of the park. Additionally, there are no playgrounds, benches, or BBQ grills, so you will have to bring everything with you in order to be a great host. Although it is a park, there are no accessible restrooms unless you have reserved the park and were granted access to their restrooms. This park also houses the historical Andres Pico Adobe, so that explains why there isn't much of a "park" and this location is considered more of a historical landmark with a huge lawn than an actual park.
