Had a cousin reunion there several weeks ago. The park is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty. The bathrooms are clean and the picnic areas are pristine. I would definitely recommend this place for an event or just to spend time relaxing.

Just the best outdoor swimming venue in the world. I love this place, and we travelled almost 4000 miles to being out kids here. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

A zen-like atmosphere with exotic birds. Wonderful play area for children, with a padded surface. Open park for quiet, romantic picnics. Leave your troubles behind and get here. Be nice, and nice will follow you...

Relaxing walk along the river with a stop in at the Naperville library. There are pavilions with
Benches to sit along the way. There is a place to rent paddle boats and kayaks and paddle-boards as well on a small pond next to the river. Therez a pool and a beach and floating platforms to sun on.There are also about 4 lanes you can use to swim laps as well. Overall, just a nice relaxing way to spend the afternoon in Naperville and its nearby shops and eateries.

What a place to have so much fun
Such an enchanting place. So peaceful and quiet. Nothing but birds chirping. Thought I saw a crane flying around.
Farmstead dates back to late 1800’s. The limestone house and barns are still standing. In love with this tiny gem.
It a must visit for a hike.
Went there to play Disc Golf. Nice course, but a lot of water in spots due to recent rains. However, there were a lot of us still playing! Very nice people in this town! Lots of places to walk, playgrounds were nice and the nature center was great!

If this place didn’t exist, I wouldn’t know what I would have done during the Covid lockdown. I was jogging/walking these paths every morning.

Great walk on a half gravel/half payment path. Also, it is a wonderful place to take your animals out for a beautiful walk in nature. Oh, and a great place to sit and eat and enjoy the scenery ♡

A great long trail, there are moderate hills in places, and the whole trail is gravel.
There is a dog park and a small craft field for model airplanes.
Very scenic and beautiful
A beautiful park area to bring kids, pets and just relax or have a picnic. Perfect place for a rejuvenating walk on the track along the water body.

Open from sunrise to midnight and no entry fees. Has some workshops and stalls set up for Christmas near the Riverwalk cafe.

Easy parking access.

Was there at night time but would love visiting this place again during the day.
Great place to walk, bike, take your dog, throw your frisbee, have a picnic and bring little kids to play on the playground. Of course there are photographic opportunities. I saw some unexpected wildlife on my walk today. (see photos). There is now only one bridge that crosses the East & West branch of the DuPage river. The nature center building is open at various times. An all seasons park. Launch Kayaks too!
Great outdoor public space somewhat hidden beyond the main roads. There is parking, restrooms, walking trails and a picnic bench. Dog walkers allowed. The barns provide a nice backdrop. Walk, bike or run on the trails or take a kayak adventure once the weather warms.

Clean and well-kept Riverwalk and park area. Love how close you can walk along the clear, calm DuPage River but definitely need to be careful not to tip over into the river itself. Nice seating areas as well for both people watching as well as listening to bells played by the Millennium Carillon/Moser Tower. Beautiful landscape, trees, and ducks. Plenty of folks walking and enjoying the scenery as well as sights of professional photo-ops of folks for special occasions.

Nice secluded playground overlooking a lake. The path down to it is nestled between two houses in a small cul-de-sac which threw me a little. There are two decent sections, one for older kids and one for younger ones. Both have lots to do! There are swings and a few whizzy dizzies.

There is a decent covered area with picnic benches under it and two benches at the playground.

No restrooms or drinking fountains.

Quiet, clean, has two play structures and 4 swings (2 regular 2 bucket seats), lots of open grass to play and watch your kids run around far enough from the street.

Great place to walk on a cloudy day. Not much shade and trees, so it is hard to be there when it's hot and sunny.

Nice place for kids between 2-5/6 years. There are swings, slides. Small place but well maintained. Surrounded by trees. Nice place.
There are benches near the park, adults can sit and keep an eye on kids. I like the place 👍😎.

Love this park! Swings, slides, big kid and little kid equipment, soccer fields, basketball court, big hill to run up and down. Kids played for over an hour! Only down side, some mosquitos by the creek and the only bathrooms are port o johns in the parking lot by the soccer field around the corner from the playground.
This is such a beautiful place to wander around with some great local history- I just really wish most people who frequent the park with their dogs would keep them on leash!
I take my dogs here and they are well behaved ( for the most part) but I shouldn't have to be worried about what someone else's dog might do!
I went there for a long walk. Overall it is very well maintained and a great place to spend some time. There is also a good amount of history to the place, which is always interesting. There are Great views and lots of greenery as well.

Cannot say enough about the Naperville River Walk area and the parks, restaurants, and businesses along it. Such a beautiful and well kept place with even and groomed trails, lots of great smelling lilacs in the spring too! I enjoyed reading the postings at the monuments along the way, and the covered bridges were a great design feature!
Simple & sweet trail. Paved/stroller friendly. Bathroom and picnic tables available. Ample parking.
We went there on a weekday evening to get some fresh air with family and were pleasantly surprised at how good the experience was!
Amazing place for basic hiking, walking and running! Entire path is paved so kids on strollers can go just fine. Ample parking space helps as well. The pond was clean and the whole surrounding was very peaceful and calming with seats to hang around and relax. Totally recommended!
Great for little kids great for kids that are a little bit older it's got a bunch of running space it's pretty private it is not up against a busy road in any way I have been taking my kids to this park since they were very small and just this weekend I took my daughter and her half sister who are 12 and 10 to the park to hang out . I highly recommend.
First time here, there seems to be about a mile or two of paved blacktop trail..with a dirt road that runs by the river that people walk on.
I saw some folks fishing off the bank, not sure if you need a license?
There is an old farmstead here, but I didn't walk in that direction this time, so I know nothing about it.
There are some picnic tables, grill, and one small bathroom.
A side note, dogs are allowed to walk here, but I'd steer clear in the heat of the summer on the blacktop, I can see this being a burn paws problem, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Love, love, love this place. It's my favorite place to go when I want to be close to the river. I've even done a few photo shoots over there! Love bringing my dog as well to walk around. You get a mix of everything one way is the park for kiddos then a path that loops around a forest area or the other way after you pass the beach you get a taste of downtown Naperville and the river.

Nice park to walk around. Lots of families and other people there enjoying the park. There was a street musician playing jazz. An interesting part was the narrow path by the river. It can be fairly wide but can also be quite narrow where it allows only 1 person to walk around. The riverwalk is quite long and goes from the park to downtown. You can catch a glimpse of some ducks or other fowl flying under the bridge sometimes. Great for a fall or spring walk.

This is a middle size local park suitable for sledding in winter and picnic in summer.

The park has a nice playground for kids, and is a lung for the city of Naperville to breath.
There are free parking spots on the east side of the park .

Good clean park for kids 12 and under! There is also a mile long walk/bicycle path all around the park.
Will let the pictures provide all the info of this unique and little piece of Naperville treasure. Spent a day picnicking at the shelter with our family group. Despite the rain, it was still great to be outdoors in this fairly secluded place!
I love the garden plots that we at Martin Ave are so grateful to receive. It's more work than expected but it's worth seeing the little sprouts.
First time to rent a plot and we’re enjoying it. For a good fee to have water and compost included and good plot neighbors, definitely highly recommend it.
Peaceful place to spend time with the nature in the morning. Beautiful views of the pond, the birds and the spring colors

We came specifically for sledding, easily the best hill out here in the burbs that we’ve found (let me know anything better!)
Very nice place to spend a few hours
What a wonderful community resource. While I garden at home, I love the sense of community and comraderie among the gardeners in a safe outdoor environment during this pandemic. It is heartwarming how much produce is donated as well. But the main attraction for me are the idea gardens on the north end among and near the trees, especially the native and woodland plantings and the Monarch Waystation. Kudos to the dedicated team that is inspiring all of Naperville!

Very nice clean park.
Great concept and great place for the public to raise there own food or flowers.

You get your own little plot and take care of it yourself. The place provides "rain barrels" to get water from if you need it.

You can bring the kids to help if you want and they outhouses for a bathroom.

Inside Ron Ory Gardens is Idea Gardens which is also another nice place to visit!
I love love love that Naperville has provided these plots. Fresh veggies, fresh flowers, great hobby, and lots of nice people to meet

I enjoyed the music band Rosie and the Rivets and the dancing.
Great little park. Park by Jewel. Not sure if it's legal but couldn't find another entrance. It's a out 1.2 miles around. There is a little playground near the neighborhood. Beautiful lake. Nice open space north of the lake.

Good place for a walk. Playground and path around the lake
Pros:
- Easily accessible with dedicated parking lot
- Great playground with small and large kid areas
- Two baseball fields
- Fishing pond with
- Paved and relatively wide walking path
- Small, covered area with picnic tables
- Large, open grassy spaces, some shaded by trees

Cons:
- Large kids playground equipment gets hot during sunny days
- Access to lake is not easy (i.e. through native plants)
- Walking path is not a loop
Review is for the river access. Plenty of parking, No ADA EZ dock. Map and direction to get to rivver. Cement side walk all the way from parking to river access (see picks). Pit toilets. No signed for Inbound kayaks river right Can get muddy some flooding.

Naperville has a lot of great parks and forest preserve
Had a great time smashing our pumpkins. Glad we could contribute to the gardens.
Great place - for walks, picnics, outdoor activities, cycling, jogging. the nature of this place is carefully preserved. it's great that there are natural paths in the forest. but parents need to be careful, as the river slope is very steep and not fenced, the child may fall. Also, if your dog is very active and reacts to wild animals, then be careful - there are a huge number of squirrels and chipmunks. my dogs would be crazy about wanting to catch them))) a very picturesque river where you can swim in a canoe. Unfortunately, I could not get to the local museum, as it closes at 5 pm. admission is free and there is a private parking, but small, so many visitors are waiting for free space.

Many amenities, from cool hills to playgrounds, to soccer area, baseball areas...The only downside is...super small parking lot. So if there is a an larger event like our sons cross country meet, make sure you show up before others

Located at West Bailey Road, Winding Creek park invites people of all ages and abilities.

The play area is a decent size and has multiple apparatus to play with. A climbing frame, slides, swing, and two separate areas to accommodate kids of all ages.

Additionally, this park offers a baseball field, trails, and picnic shelter.

PS- No restrooms at the location.

Nice park. The porta potty had no toilet paper. Imagine being stuck, in a little plastic box, in high 80° weather. I thought it would be my stinky sweaty plastic injection molded sarcophagus until my friend, a true American hero, came and saved my buns both figuratively and literally. Also, it has a nice playground.

If you're looking for a quiet and not very active park, this is the place for you.
We came here on a school holiday in the early afternoon and found no other kids here. My brothers enjoyed playing on the nice, well kept equipment while I got to enjoy a book on a sunny park bench. The path around the lake made for a nice quick walk, although having one side surrounded by car dealerships was kind of a dealbreaker. Everything seemed to be generally clean (there were even doggie pick up stations with bags and trash cans) however the playground did need fresh woodchips. Everything seemed to be way too tall, even benches because of this. Overall though, the kids enjoyed it.
We don't live close by but kids love this place. It's only a 5min drive from my subdivision which is worth it. Bike trail is awesome and the nature centre is well maintained and educational. The playground is decent enough even for my 10 yr old to enjoy!!!

Soccer fields open park. Do not follow directions for the park, but for Owen Elementary School.
If you like to garden, and feel like you belong to a community, this is your place. Meet new people every time you go. Sign up with the Naperville Recreation department and pay a small annual plot fee. Be warned, though, gardening is hard work and the weeds always try to win.
