Such an enchanting place. So peaceful and quiet. Nothing but birds chirping. Thought I saw a crane flying around.
Farmstead dates back to late 1800’s. The limestone house and barns are still standing. In love with this tiny gem.
It a must visit for a hike.

Great outdoor public space somewhat hidden beyond the main roads. There is parking, restrooms, walking trails and a picnic bench. Dog walkers allowed. The barns provide a nice backdrop. Walk, bike or run on the trails or take a kayak adventure once the weather warms.

This is such a beautiful place to wander around with some great local history- I just really wish most people who frequent the park with their dogs would keep them on leash!
I take my dogs here and they are well behaved ( for the most part) but I shouldn't have to be worried about what someone else's dog might do!

I went there for a long walk. Overall it is very well maintained and a great place to spend some time. There is also a good amount of history to the place, which is always interesting. There are Great views and lots of greenery as well.

Simple & sweet trail. Paved/stroller friendly. Bathroom and picnic tables available. Ample parking.

First time here, there seems to be about a mile or two of paved blacktop trail..with a dirt road that runs by the river that people walk on.
I saw some folks fishing off the bank, not sure if you need a license?
There is an old farmstead here, but I didn't walk in that direction this time, so I know nothing about it.
There are some picnic tables, grill, and one small bathroom.
A side note, dogs are allowed to walk here, but I'd steer clear in the heat of the summer on the blacktop, I can see this being a burn paws problem, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Will let the pictures provide all the info of this unique and little piece of Naperville treasure. Spent a day picnicking at the shelter with our family group. Despite the rain, it was still great to be outdoors in this fairly secluded place!
