I took my niece and nephew and myself.
We loved the insects. Got there a bit late 3 pm I believe. Worth the $$ and worth the walk downtown.

Excellent view of the Waterdale Bridge and High Level Bridge for photos. Hidden Gem!

Great place to spend time and learn about history and different plants, animals and rocks.
Park at the City Hall underground Parking and easily cross the road to the museum.
Keep around 2 hours to view the museum.

A beautiful high level view of Edmonton’s skyline. Has a nice park for casual evening walk and conversation. The changing light on the bridge makes it so beautiful too. And a good spot for some romantic pictures.

Nice trails found in multiple directions. Nothing too hard to walk.

First time visiting the new building. Way bigger than old one with tons of new things to check out. Some of the Native artifacts... I come across those online that dislike having their items displayed as they consider them sacred. How did the RAM go about obtaining them, and who did they consult?

This place is really beautiful 😍. You can definitely spend a whole day with your family and friends. They have many activities like water theme park, rollercoaster, game station, casino, bowling , many things for kids etc. You can find a lots of food stalls with every cuisines. Must visit here if you're planning a trip into Edmonton.

This shopping mall is really too big. Inside, there are various activities, including dolphin shows, a water park with waves, a pirate ship, an ice skating rink, and a variety of luxury brand stores with a wide array of products, and exquisite decorations. This mall is a great place for family gatherings.

Beautiful place to spend a day and have picnic

We went to the waterpark and had a great time. Lots of fun stuff to do inside. Slides, eave pool, hot tubs (2) , and 2 different kids zones. Limited food and drinks available, dlightly pricey. Towels are now $3, so bring your own
Large lockers are $18/day

What an enormous mall! You can see, and do almost everything here. Some really neat shops and attractions. If you want to visit for the attractions, make sure you double check operating times, and you may be able to score a deal by purchasing tickets before you go.
Free parking. No admission fee for the mall.

Perfect place for off leash walks. No bugs. Clean water. Lots of room to run. Biking is popular. Dogs are friendly. People are amazing. Best place to go for a walk!

Great place to eat! 22 beers on tap, if you find yourself thirsty for a pint! Server was friendly and efficient! I had the Donair Tacos. Yum! Tater tots were perfect. Hubby had the fish and chips, said it was delicious! You can build your own burger, which is what my brother did. It was gone in no time, so I do believe he enjoyed it! Would definitely go back.

My goto dog park … will always be and never change. Big, open and along the river, not to mention, off leash and all the trails as a matter of fact, I almost want to say too many but there is never too many when it comes to the outdoors. You really can’t ask for much more. We really enjoy it here.

Had every store you really need. Also known as the biggest mall in North America, and one of the largest malls in the world. It has a hotel connected to the mall itself, and is located not far from the international airport. This enables travellers to have an all in one stop. Inside the mall there is not only a pirate shop with RC boats and paddle boats, it also has an entire water park with a wave pool.
The mall is also home to Galaxy Land, and theme park with many rides for both adults and children. It has a haunted house and various carnival games with prizes.

Very nice trails and the fall foliage was amazing! The bridge is pretty cool too. A sign pointing towards the bridge from the parking lot would be nice but I didn't see one. Also seems to have an off leash dog park. Could easily spend a few hours walking through the trails! Would recommend.

Friendly services in all departments and the gift shop. Informative sections and gallery displays. Overall, the areas were clean. The coffee shop had a great selection of baked goods and drinks. The gallery is well organized, with clear directional signage. From Ancient Alberta to Human History. There are interactive displays and activities throughout. There is so much to see! I highly recommend visiting RAM.

While the exhibits are already enjoyable, incorporating more technological advancements could help engage and captivate the younger audience. Museums are continually evolving to keep up with advancements in technology and enhance visitor experiences. By integrating innovative technologies, museums can create more interactive and immersive experiences, particularly for the tech-savvy generation.
Some potential improvements that could be considered include:
1. Interactive Displays: Introducing touchscreen panels, augmented reality, or virtual reality experiences within the exhibits can bring a new level of engagement and excitement for kids, making their museum visit more interactive.
2. Mobile Apps/Guides: Developing a dedicated mobile app or digital guide can offer additional information, audio tours, and interactive features to enhance the overall experience. This approach can cater to the interests of children and provide them with a more personalized journey through the exhibits.
3. Online Experiences: Expanding the museum's online presence by offering virtual tours, live streams, or interactive content can enable visitors to continue engaging with the museum's exhibits even after their visit. This approach can also attract a wider audience, including those who may not be able to visit physically.
Overall it's an Amazing Must Go place in Alberta
Cheers

Historic Bridge, one of the highest bridge in the world. The bridge with LED light so it could light up with different colors at night and special events.

A great museum with really interesting collections - paleontology, geology, archaeology, the history of Native People and different pieces of Canadian history overall. Moreover, there is a bug collection and an excellent interactive zone for kids.

I love this dog park it is beautiful and my dog loves it too. But you have to be very careful because I've heard stories and actually encountered it for myself the last time we visited with an aggressive dog that was off leash and was very similar to a a pitbull. The dog tried attacking my dog for absolutely no reason walking down the path. We had to save my dog by grabbing him in throwing him up like a little kid. The dog was still trying to bite him. My girlfriend eventually dropped him on the ground and she was bruised and cut everywhere and my dog ran and the other dog chased him but I was able to tackle the dog and grab his colour and force him to the ground collar and force him to the ground while his owner stared and did nothing. My gashed my knee pretty bad as well. There's witnesses that ran up to us to make sure that we were okay I told us we should have took their information. It was a scary experience for sure because of that dog would have actually been able to bite my dog who knows what would have happened to him. He's only a 30 lb mini goldendoodle. This dog just snapped and went psycho so he's definitely done it before. I just don't understand some of these owners letting their dog run around with no leash when they know they have issues.

there are 2 wide open fields. One dogs can be off their leash, and the one after the bridge dogs have to be on their leash. the place is very big, u can hike cycle or walk but no place for picnic. sometimes there is an icecrea truck in the parking lot

This is definitely the coolest mall I've ever been to. Boasting a indoor waterpark as well as a indoor theme park, a ice skating rink, 2 mini golf courses, an aquarium, and a escape room, its safe to say you wont run out of things to do at this mall. The ice skating was super fun with hocket matches going on sometimes which were cool to watch, the ice skating itself is very cheap and open to the public as well. The waterpark and themepark were on the pricier end, $64 for entrance to each attraction for the day. The mini golf courses were pretty cool, but easy in my opinion. The mall itself had a wide variety of shops and was really cool because some sections of the mall had different themes like Europe theme and Asia theme for example. All in all, I gave this mall a 5/5 because of all the attractions and shops there are in it! Super cool, and I would highly recommend visiting this place at least once.

Cool spot for a walk when your visiting the downtown area. The cool breeze from the river keeps the hot temperatures down. While the exposure makes the sunshine enjoyable. There isn’t a lot on either side of the bridge. But over all it’s a cool spot for anyone to visit for a walk. It’s also connected to lots of walking paths along the river valley so you can enjoy a whole day walking. Definitely worth a visit!!

Dragon boat dock is a great place to swim.

This is a sandbar that happened because of changes to the bank upstream from bridge construction. This is not a prepared recreation area by the city. Please lower your expectations when you visit, and appreciate this gift from the river. Stop complaining people!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Accidental Beach in Edmonton with my family, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by stunning views, and a sense of adventure.
Accidental Beach is truly a hidden gem, perfect for families looking for a fun-filled day by the water. What impressed me the most was the access to the beach. It was exceptionally kids-friendly, making it easy for little ones to explore and play while parents can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
One of the standout features of Accidental Beach was the shallow water. It is ideal for families with young children who want to dip their toes or take a refreshing swim without worrying about deep waters. The shallow areas provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
The beach itself offers a picturesque setting, nestled along the North Saskatchewan River with soft golden sand spread out. It's an excellent spot to bask in the sun, build sandcastles, or have a leisurely stroll along the shoreline.
Accidental Beach also offers some amenities to enhance your visit. Restrooms are conveniently located nearby, ensuring easy access for families. Furthermore, there are picnic tables and shaded areas where you can enjoy a packed lunch or simply relax and take in the breathtaking surroundings.
I must not forget to mention that the beach is well-maintained, and the staff does an excellent job of keeping the area clean and safe for visitors. It was evident that they take great pride in ensuring everyone has a fantastic experience.
In conclusion, Accidental Beach in Edmonton is a must-visit destination for families seeking a delightful outdoor adventure. The kids-friendly access and shallow water make it an excellent choice, ensuring a worry-free experience for parents while little ones have a splashing good time. Don't miss out on this hidden gem — it's a perfect spot for creating lasting memories.

Beautiful walking trails along the river, near Edmonton downtown, especially in autumn.

We recently purchased a family membership again and were able to enjoy a fun filled day at TWOSE. Since our kids are a little older now, they're definitely more interested in the exhibits and educational aspects associated with TWOSE (not just Curiouscity). It also helps that they make things fun for young and old alike. The Art of the Brick exhibit is amazing. The kids were quite interested in seeing everything that could be made with Lego, but missed out on a lot of the details of the exhibits due to their age. My wife and I were quite astounded by the entire exhibit, especially when it came to the pieces that were included in the artwork and photography. We also enjoyed some fun science activities at the Syncrude Science Stage, the Science Garage, Health Zone, Space Gallery, the Aurora show in the Ziedler Dome. On our way out, we stopped at the RASC Observatory and we all got a chance to see the crest of Venus and safely observe the sun through a number of telescopes. All the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We're definitely looking forward to future trips and using our membership at other science centres, such as the Telus Spark in Calgary.

We have been to Calgary, Regina and Edmonton science centers. This is by far the best. Exhibits and rooms are well spaced. Cafeteria has your average menu, reasonably priced. Admission is also reasonable for what is offered. Can definitely enjoy the place for hours. Definitely recommend it to others

Really great educational experience for all ages but even more fun for children under 15. There is also a toddler play area as well. Not posting many photos to not spoil the experience. We chose the Lego exhibit as well as the science Center and well worth it! There is also a park in the back for those who choose to walk around more. Great spot for family time!

It's one of the biggest museums in Alberat. The place has a member of galleries. The items at display, the interactive devices around the museum, and the entire place are very good to explore and learn about life in Alberta. The only thing they need to consider is grouping the items based on a shared theme. In the first gallery, the first area is about very early humans, and all of a sudden, we jump to the modern history of Alberta and Albertans.

Iconic bridge on the south side of Edmonton. Great access to the river valley and a huge network of trails. Large parking lot at the Kinsmen rec center. This bridge has stunning views of both downtown and the river.

Nice walk, plenty of trails nearby, excellent views of downtown.

Great park. Lots of riverside trails. Takes a good hour to loop and has many smaller trails around the interior. Dog friendly.

Very cool bridge, great for a summer walk. the view of Downtown from the other side with the bridge in the pics are awesome.

This museum is fascinating for the whole family. It is spacious, air-conditioned, and each exhibit can take up to an hour to explore. There is so much to learn from the interactive displays. If you are bringing children, the family pass is the most economic way to pay for admission. And definitely check out the kids' exhibit as a last stop before you leave, your little ones will thank you.

Enjoyed a stroll over the foot bridge. Nice mixed use trails. Bicyclists have attitude about this as usual 😅

A great place for the kiddos to explore and experience learning & fun. There is a great zone for smaller toddlers, and then all the exhibits for kids/adults of all ages. It takes multiple trips to enjoy & take everything in. Absolutely worth going to if you need to burn off some energy for a few hours with the little ones.

We heard about the Art of the Brick exhibit and thought it would be fun for the family... We got a family of 4 combo passes. Was a great deal. Got general admission and exhibit admission. Also, free popcorn (super small though) The Art of the Brick was super cool for kids and adults... Many peices to look at and see. In the end, there were Lego stations that you could build at. (Was super full when we came, so we passed it) We also watched an IMAX movie (Serengetti), which was fun and educational. We visited some other exhibits as well, and ate at the purple pear...
Overall, it was a fun time for the kids, and it was a great opportunity to see art and more! ( definitely busy, though, so try to find times not as busy.)

It's old age gives it an interesting artistic experience

Lego exhibit was amazing, museum itself was nice too. It was very crowded but didn't have to wait anywhere. Probably more fun for kids, for adults not so much but still worth a visit definitely. Overall very happy we went 🌎🚀

Lost of nice area to come out and visit in the evening.

You can truss this bridge

There are paths underneath the bridge on both ends which are bicycle accessible. Some people also do some fishing there. Parking is available on the south side. There are built in seats on the bridge to just relax.

This place was amazing, although is crowed you have opportunity to enjoy it.
The view is amazing, if you are lucky you can have an amazing sunset, as well as ridding scooters, take a walk and enjoy time with friends and family.
It was my first time and it was beautiful, my family and I spent an amazing day.

This part of the Edmonton river valley system is quite unique. It's got challenging stairs, lots of vertical trail work, and close to "accidental" beaches during summer months.

Beautiful park, you will feel safe and calm walking along a beautiful trek adjoining a calm river. You can take your dogs, even plan a picnic with your friends or family.

As a new individual living in Edmonton without many friends is a challenge but there are beautiful places that feel like home. Walterdale gives you an insight into the beauty Alberta has to offer. Just alongside the river, you will find well-preserved first few homes built in Edmonton. A peaceful weekend activity.

The High Level Bridge is a bridge that spans the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A view of the Alberta Legislative Building is visible from the bridge amidst the smoke that covers Edmonton (during the period of the visit). Other than that, great sight from River Valley Park.

Our family spent mother's Day at the water. Shallow enough for the kids to paddle around, lots is shade, sand to dig and build in. Nice wide trails, room for many. Being the dogs they will enjoy chilling out.

Very engaging and stimulating place for the kiddos! Many cool interactive exhibits and interesting displays. The little one had a great time running around all the areas. The dome shows are awesome and they even have a little cafe with food. A great place to waste a hot afternoon.

I love this place!!! Amazing Nature

We love it here! So many great exhibits that are a ton of fun for children of all ages.
The interactive of the different exhibits is wonderful. My kids and I went from driving a rover on the moon, to launching rockets, to solving all kinds of puzzles, building cool things, climbing rock walls and so so much more!
The cafeteria is decent and affordable which is perfect for refuelling before continuing the fun for the day.
Multiple trips are required to get the full enjoyment out of this place!

Great spot to do your evening walk.

Good bridge. It's low compared to the high one

Visit: April 2023
I randomly found Patricia Ravine Trail and it was surprisingly beautiful! It's under 10 minutes away from WEM.
Upon initial arrival, it was a bit odd because you can see some very expensive houses on one side, contrasted by the overwhelming nature on the other side.
There are a lot of different trails you can take from arrival, and I had only gone down one of the paths that went toward the river. There was a cool firepit and some nice areas to hang out along the trail with some logs for sitting. You can also see the footbridge from the river too!
This was a bit before the flowers and trees have come back alive after winter but it was still really nice. I was able to capture the ice breaking and flowing down the river too! I definitely need to come back again when it's spring/summer!
Highly recommend for a nice hike, I would say it's a bit higher than some beginner trails because of some of the steep hills (like the initial hill leading to the trail).

My wife's favorite bridge in edmonton. Light traffic and flatter approaches than most of our bridges in edmonton. Bridge conditions were springlike in February. Rare but appreciated this year.

Classic old school steel frame Bridge

It is good for a walk and if you come up the way,
you can see a place with a great view.😆

Edmonton sucks in building a accessible places to the public. The beach became a touristic place but nobody thought of improving accessibility. Don't come with strollers or wagon or people with small disabilities. It's impossible to make it there without climbing on mud.

One of my favorite trails to visit in the city. Very nice walk with lovely views. Access to 6 pokemon go stops and 2 gyms. Not much parking though but you're going for the amazing walk. So many birds to see as well.

We walk here quite often. I love how it feels like your not even in the city taking this trail. There are a couple steep places however. If walking in winter it might be a good idea to be ready for steep and icy areas.

My favorite place to go! It's such a beautiful sight from the tracks, also peaceful! 😍🥰👌👍💯😏 Frfr!

Nice trail. Too bad the city government closed the easy access for general public by changing parking rules in the area.

Love this spot, beautiful captivating open skies and not to busy . You can go on the bridge or trail off closer to the water safely. Great for a pick nick.

Nice wide paths and lots of little trails that lead to the river.
Very slippery in the winter but lots of fun.

Had no idea we had a beautiful sandy beach in the Wolf Willow area! Had a great time with the puppies. The area is kept nice and clean. Lots of people going over the foot bridge, with their bikes and families. Our puppies loved the sandy beach and water. Highly recommend checking out.

Its really an amazing experienced to see the beauty of Edmonton in this beautiful spot.

Right off the get go this place has no signs from the main road. Once you find the one way street parking is limited. No signs to get to the actual beach area. There is a steep ish hill to get to the beach (ropes in place to help ascend/descend). I would say a cool place to bring your furry friends and get some sun but nothing else. Not even porta-potties and definitely no swimming.
The noise from the bridge construction isn’t terrible but it isn’t quiet either.
Honesty it’s pretty bad imo.

What a lovely little surprise I was biking downtown this afternoon and realized how hot it was +30 today and seeing people playing on the speech and throwing a football so I dove in the water and it was so refreshing!
One thing I love about this place is that it’s dog friendly so I will be definitely taking my dog down there for an afternoon!

This is a really wonderful place with family or friends
You can go eat and drink something here or just go and have a great time
You can choose stones or sand since this place has two sections divided personally I have visited it many and times and I will continue to do so without a doubt

Picturesque bridge over the North Saskatchewan River. Offers great views of the river and is part of a great walking/running/cycling loop.

Great trail as part of the river valley trail system. There is great variety in the trail elevation for a good workout if you want or take a leisurely stroll whatever you desire. This is part of a larger ravine trail. So get out and enjoy nature at its best with a friend or a loved one. There is no washroom facilities available.

Nothing spectacular about the low level bridge. The pathway across is not as wide as some of the other newer bridges in Edmonton. And pedestrians are very close to the traffic. The architecture is nothing out is the ordinary. It's a functional driving and pedestrian bridge.

The trails are diverse; they can be rugged, easy peasy but peaceful most of the time, and in many parts of the ravine. The views are breathtaking! I was there today, again the trail I hiked, and I only came across one mountain biker. It is one of the best peaceful places.

This is the best place to visit at day or night. Night view hits different for those who likes night life.
At day you can go near the river could click some timing shots.
There are many scooters available everywhere near bridge.
Safe at night. Just near the bridge, there is a public parking free. Or you can go straight to downtown and park you car there.
Not much traffic at night just the pedestrian walking .
Make sure you wear mask even though you’re outside.

Nice walking and biking paths. Good set of stairs if you want to do it too!

Really nice view.
The bridge has just been cleaned
And the guys did a great job of it.

This bridge is, as others have commented, quite rusty. I don't believe, however, that it is unsafe. It demands a lot of attention when crossing, due to narrow lanes and a right-hand turn northbound that is right at the end of the bridge. I hope that Edmonton gives it a good scrub and new coat of paint soonish, though there are a few major construction projects to clear from the way first.

Iconic bridge over the North Saskatchewan River from downtown to south side. It’s over 100 years old and has become even more entrenched in the minds of Edmontonians and is part of everyone’s minds eyes of the river valley. There is car traffic and a trolley that goes over the bridge where trains used to. Both sides of the bridge have pedestrian and bicycle traffic. This is just an amazing bridge and I would recommend not only driving across it but also walking and taking the trolley across.

I was biking around river valley and I saw this peaceful place... it is so beautiful and perfect for hanging out with friends or just by yourself...

Not sure why I am reviewing a bridge but this is one of the oldest in the city and was originally used for transporting products across the river by rail. Its a cool looking bridge with style from a bygone era. Good to drive on or see from a distance but as soon as you get close you quickly realize the city does not care about it. Totally rusty and run down. I guess they put all of their money into the bright and shiny walterdale bridge instead of spending a few dollars sprucing up this one. Too bad really as it is visible from downtown and close to the funicular so it really should at look like its being kept up

This bridge is over 100 years old.
We like walking over this bridge and enjoy the views of the city and the North Saskatchewan River.
This bridge is iconic in Edmonton and think it could use a good cleaning and a new paint job. I disagree with the comment that it should be replaced. This is a part of Edmonton and we love it.

Breathtaking view specially in spring and summer. Watching sunsets and sunrises on the bridge is one of my favorite. I have taken 100 sunsets photos from here and shared it on instagram! Visit @_100sunsets_ instagram account to see all of them!

It was beautiful out there which is also a wonderful for taking photos. Unfortunately, i came there alone so i didn't take any portrait photos. I'm absolutely going to come back someday soon. I would recommend you to ride a bus to get there as there is no parking lot, and the spots on the street are filled up quickly. Enjoy it !!
