I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to access Tokyo Sky Tree using public transportation. The nearby shopping complex and dining options also make it a convenient destination for tourists. Don't forget to capture some stunning photos from the observation decks!
My visit to the Tokyo Skytree was nothing short of mesmerizing. Rising elegantly against the Tokyo skyline, it stands as a symbol of innovation and modernity.
During the day, the panoramic views from the observation decks were simply breathtaking. I could see Tokyo stretching out endlessly in every direction, with its maze of streets and towering buildings creating a vibrant tapestry below.
As night fell, the Skytree transformed into a dazzling spectacle of lights. The cityscape sparkled and shimmered, and I was captivated by the beauty of Tokyo illuminated against the dark sky. The Skytree itself was adorned with colorful lights, adding to the magical ambiance of the evening.

Typical tourist attraction. You can really see how big Tokyo is from the observation deck. I like that the 4 elevators are decorated for each season. Purchased same day tickets for the last available time 7:30 p.m. or 19:30 p.m. and it was packed. Plus it was super hot in there because of the amount of people. Only had about 30 seconds on the glass floor.

Wir konnten leider nicht auf die Galerie, da gab es keine Tickets mehr. Trotzdem können wir euch allen empfehlen sich diese Aussicht anzusehen. Der Glasboden in die Tiefe ist auch beeindruckend.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was really fun and exciting, but also very busy. It’s a super tall tower in Tokyo that lots of people want to see. When I got there, I saw a long line of people waiting to buy tickets. But, I found out that buying tickets online is smarter because you don’t have to wait as long. You still have to get your tickets from a machine when you arrive, but it saves you about half an hour of standing in line.
The place was packed with people, but they have a good system for getting everyone up to the top. There are several elevators that take you up to where you can see the views. And wow, the views are amazing! You can see all over Tokyo from up there. There’s even a higher spot you can go to for even better views.
For those who like taking photos, this is a great place. You can get some really nice shots of the city. They also have a special elevator for people in wheelchairs, which is really thoughtful. Plus, there’s a place to grab some food and even a service where professionals can take your photo.
The only not-so-great part is how crowded it gets. But other than that, going to Tokyo Skytree is a lot of fun and something I think everyone should do if they visit Tokyo.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was an unforgettable experience! The panoramic views from the observation decks were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning glimpse of Tokyo's vast urban landscape. The structure itself is a marvel of modern architecture, with its sleek design and impressive height. The Skytree Town below also provided plenty of shopping and dining options, adding to the overall experience. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the queues can be quite long, especially during peak hours, but the views are definitely worth the wait. A must-visit attraction for anyone exploring Tokyo!
We arrived here about an hour before our ticketed time and had early bird tickets and scan the code and went in, such an easy process. I had used the official Skytree website as the travel websites didn't have the right time slots available. The views at the first stop, 350m, were spectacular. And then we went up to 450m and wow! We got to see MT Fuji in the distance against the sunset.a lot of people crowding for photos but we managed to get a decent view and it was well worth it.
On the third floor, an exhibit of significant Japanese swords. About 60 different items including tachi, tanto, and wakizashi. Most are bare blades with a few significant fittings. For those who know what they are looking at, these are some of the best examples of the sword makers art. The highest quality steel grain and temper lines are on display. Several are national treasures. The full breadth of sword making is displayed without overdoing any one style. The lighting and display are perfect for showing off the nuances of the steel.

I recommend you to add this museum to visit and don't make it the only one to visit. There are some other museums around the area, but I don't really recommend you to go all the way there if you don't have planned to go and visit other places the same day.

I am a big fan of Hokusai art. The is only one section of the area you can take photo and only the art has photo ok logo, there are art that have a icon no photo is allow. If you are not sure best to ask the staff. Love it story and the art!
The Tokyo Sky Tree is awesome for the city view, you can see the city from above for 360 degree, in the brighter day you may see Mt. Fuji at the direction between the pole number 8 and 9.
It's also have a little glass floor that you can step on it and see how height from the below area.
At the base floor there are a lot of shop and also aquarium to visit while waiting for your round if you buy the ticket and have to wait, there are some food and drink shop at the park area by Christmas event on year end season. It would be very beautiful in the evening by the illumination that already placed in the park here.
BTW my friend was lucky to take the Dragon Ball Piccolo in the photo at the first coin.

Went there almost 10 years ago and great to be back again. Reservation has been made in online is highly recommended. I just go for normal ticket 350m and that's great. At 12.00, the sunlight is quite strong to see so would recommend to go in the evening like 16.00-18.00 instead.

Absolutely loved the collection of Hokusai's work and the history of Japanese art in that period.
I did not realise that so much of Hokusai's art was focused around humour and the sheer scale of his work over the 70-80 years that he was active.
Obviously, seeing the Great Wave was amazing but also the 7 metre long painting that he made. A lot of his most famous works were not actually the originals but rather recreations because the originals were being conserved.

This is a small museum with two floors for viewing, and two for other functions not open to the public. There is also a roof garden where visitors can rest and view the surrounding cityscape and overview an adjacent park, which has exceptional gardens of traditional design. The architecture alone is worth a visit.

The collection comprises the work of master sword makers' most iconic bare blades and, in many cases the fully assembled sword with case, hilt etc. The latter are beautiful pieces of art unto themselves, featuring precious metals, lacquer, abalone etc applied with a master's skill and care.
Information is mostly in Japanese and English and pamphlets are in many other languages.
A must visit for anyone interested in art, military history, and in feudal Japan.

This amazing structure is the best experience you can get on a wide radius view of Tokyo. Beautifully built and lit up at night, it’s one of the best places to go to have an actual view of the sheer size of Tokyo’s mega cities.
Tokyo tower just doesn’t only offer a view, it provides you an entertainment, shopping, eatery and even an aquarium. Towering over Solamachis shopping district you can literally just stay there the whole day.
It is not necessary to get the higher floor ticket but if you want to see how far up you are then I’d say go for it!

A cloudy day but still worth the trip. A group tour gets you in faster than going as an individual. Look how fast the elevator travels. Also, interesting to see through the glass floor. Second highest building in the world and the highest broadcasting tower. A shopping center is adjacent to the tower. They were already decorated for Christmas and Christmas music was playing throughout the shopping area.
Such a cool experience! The views were beautiful from up top and the staff was very helpful. There is so much you can do in the one location— lots of shopping, eating, and an aquarium. Great spot for families!

I had an excellent experience at the Ryogoku Fireworks Museum. It's conveniently located just a short walk from Ryogoku Station in Tokyo and is great for learning about fireworks.
The museum director was incredibly friendly. He asked us where we're from (hello from Singapore!) and engaged in friendly conversation. It was a pleasant surprise to find him featured in a newspaper cutting on the wall. Additionally, he volunteered to photos of us with the exhibits, which was a thoughtful touch. Thank you for a memorable visit!

The view from this tower was amazing. I could see the whole outline of Tokyo and a little bit further. The only problem was getting in the line to the top as long lines are gathered and they have certain times where you have to visit and spots do run out fast. This is a very busy place but luckily I got in at a decent time to have good tickets. They do have shops and restaurants to explore while you wait for your turn. I do love how they have 4 elevators and each one has a design about the seasons. Very unique design that is beautiful. Along going up the elevator there is a TV that shows how fast it's going up and down. I do recommend people come here because there are more things at the top as for the glass floor and shops as well and even a gallery.
Super cool museum about Hokusai! It was free for us since we had a grutto pass! Highly recommend if you want to learn about how Hokusai made his art!
Lots of award winning sword, blade, handles, etc. are being displayed. Sometimes there might be national treasure blade being displayed. You can take pictures of the display as long as without flash. There is a rooftop garden as well, where you can enjoy the view to the nearby park. The toilet signage looks pretty unique haha
No photos allowed in the museum and most of the works here are high resolution replicas which was a bit disappointing but still a great visit. I learned a lot about the different styles of Hokusai. Only 2 floors of art ranging in majority small to medium size pieces for the current exhibition. The gift shop has a lot of beautiful souvenirs that makes the visit alone worth it.
Not the usual museum we are used to in European countries - only one floor with the exposition and the price is 1000 yen each. Nevertheless, if you are interested in swords and how they are traditionally made by the Japanese people, this museum is definitely worth a visit!
東京都両国駅付近の国道14号線沿いの奥まった小さな場所に花火資料館がありました。入館無料です。関係者の方がすぐに花火に関するビデオを見せてくださり、質問にも答えてくださいました。隅田川の花火は小さな玉で、大きな玉は新潟県の長岡の花火で使われているそうです。
Small but well curated look into a master painter’s life. Has a large volume of work, showing how Hokusai not only made iconic landscapes, but humorous comics, architectural drawings in both paint and inks
It is a small aquarium but still a good place to visit with children. We could see Penguins closely and they swim like living in the nature. Here also has tropical fish, spotted garden eels and beautiful jellyfish.
The structure itself is stunning and the views are the best I've yet seen from an observation tower of this kind. Being able to get a 360 degree view of the entire city is wild.

I visited Tokyo Skytree on a Sunday, and luckily, it wasn't overly crowded. We decided to capture the moment with a souvenir photo, which cost 1500 yen and could be conveniently downloaded via a QR code. Our ticket granted access to the 350-meter observation deck, with the option to go higher at 450 meters for an additional fee. The ticket counter is located on the tower's fourth floor. Surrounding the tower, you'll find numerous dining options and the sprawling Solamachi shopping mall, making it a complete and enjoyable experience.
The reason I don't give it a 5 is because it is fairly small. These are all modern swords and knives. Still it's a good exhibition to spend an hour at and learn all about Japanese sword and knives.
Stunning view of Tokyo. I went at night and the elevator was fast to lift us up to the viewing deck. I didn't book in advance but still got a ticket. No queues and I stayed nearly an hour there.
Though it’s a very small aquarium, but marine animas are well-cared. Penguins just like living in the nature habitat and giant fish tank is vivid. Gift shop is amazing where a variety of marine dolls

It was our second time coming here and it was still a great experience. We bought the combo tickets for both sections of the Skytree and while the views are quite similar whichever level you choose, it was still breathtaking. Of course, it depends on the weather as some clouds blocked our view of the faraway mountains but it was easy to see most of downtown Tokyo. Even though we had a slight fear of heights, we felt safe and comfortable for most of our visit.

Give yourself more time at the place if you want to explore all of the shops. We came down from the observation deck at closing time so naturally, all the shops were closed too which I was kinda gutted about.

王貞治さん、木の実ナナさん、勝海舟に葛飾北斎、昭和のテレビ界の巨人・大橋巨泉さんや、さまぁ～ずの御二人など、大スターを多く輩出している墨田区の大衆史は殆どありません‥
しかし、白眉は東京大空襲を経験された方々の生の手紙と絵画。
こんなに負の遺産を多く展示している郷土資料館は他に知りませんし、なにより真に迫っていて、読んでいて涙が溢れ出てきます‥
戦意を挫くため、点在する町工場を壊すためとはいえ、女子供に高齢者などほとんど民間人しかいない隅田川沿いの下町地区（台東区・墨田区・江東区）に、結果的に非戦闘員を殺すために絨毯爆撃した東京大空襲の様子が赤裸々に語られています。
原爆、他の大都市空襲もそうですが、間違いなくアメリカの大虐殺（戦争犯罪）ですね。
でも、何も言えない‥
悔しいけど、負けるとはそういうことなのだと知りました。

Good experience and first timers would love it. It has one of the fastest elevator and takes to 350 meters in a minute. Glass floor experience is good and night view of the tower is wonderful. Though we went on a weekday and got a ticket, it is recommended to book in advance.
This was a really cool place. You can see all of Tokyo from here. We were here on a National Holiday, and this place was packed. I would recommend buying your tickets in advance because there was a two plus hour wait if you wanted to go to the upper observation deck. At the base of the tower they have numerous restaurants and a lot of shopping. Also, they had lots of things for kids to do. The lines to get into a restaurant were extremely long. Not worth the wait, so we went to the food court. We still had to wait but not as long, and then we had to wait for a table to come available. I would recommend going at a less busy time and your experience will be a lot better.

An incredible work of Japanese engineering. An excellent place to meet in Tokyo. On weekdays you will be able to have better conditions to photograph the different landscapes that are provided by the tower. It is worth checking. Bring your camera and enjoy the light!

Visited here while on summer vacation in Tokyo and looking forward to seeing more Hokusai works on display. The museum is a short 10 min walk from the subway station and the architecture is distinctive. Main gallery is on 3rd/4th floor. Relatively small but very informative. Photography is not allowed. Well worth a visit.
Amazing view! I would recommend coming on a weekday because weekends are packed! While it was busy staff moved things along very well. I personally found that the one level was worth it! If it's your first time in Tokyo come to Tokyo Skytree for the best views!
Smaller than I expected and perhaps tickets could be a little cheaper for their size and displays. Beautiful and well-maintained but expected a bit more compared to other aquariums with a similar ticket price in Japan. Still would be nice to go once.

3階まで展示がありますが、3階は企画展で2階と1階は常設展になっています。こちらのメインは2階の東京大空襲の被害者が描いた体験画だと思います。胸が詰まらせられる思いになりますが、一度見に来る事をおすすめします。
負の歴史も直視する姿勢は、本当に大事だと思います。新しい郷土資料館だと、意外ときれいな歴史だけ伝えようたがる傾向ってありますよね。しかしながら、これも東京の一面なんですよ。

A well designed aquarium with quite a few things to see, but relatively small. The absolute highlight are the nature aquariums by Takashi Amano at the start of the experience, which is the primary reason to visit and the reason for 5 stars. Other than that the penguins and the Tokyo sea tank are nice.
Waited less than 5 minutes to enter. First section of the aquarium was beautiful, then unfortunately my phone died, so I couldn’t capture how unfortunately small the spaces were for some of the fishes especially the turtles. 😢
友人のお誕生日になにか記念になることをやってみたくて、探していたらこちらのガラス彫刻を見つけました。
浅草の駅からそんなに離れていないのにすごく静かな通りにお店があって、店内からはスカイツリーがとても大きく見えてちょっと驚きました。
店内にはたくさんのガラスに関する書籍やガラス作品などがあってガラス作品は購入もできて可愛いものがたくさんあってみているだけで楽しかったです。
ガラス彫刻は店内の一角で行いました。優しいスタッフさんが丁寧に説明をしてくれるので、初心者でも問題ありませんでした。まずは基本となるガラス製品を選びます。そこにデザインをペンで描いていきますが、見本などもあって写したりもできるので、絵心のない私もなんとか絵になりました。
それを歯医者さんにあるような削る機械で削っていきます。最初は滑って難しかったのですが、慣れてくるとこれが集中できてとても楽しかったです。
彫り終わるときれいに洗って拭いてくれて足りなければまた削ることもできます。
最後は出来上がった作品を可愛い袋に入れてくれました。
伺ったら早い人は10分ぐらいで作ってしまう方もいるそうですが、私たちはなんだかんだで1時間弱かかりました。

I visited the Tokyo Skytree just to see the 1/1 scale VF-25 canopy inside the Chiba Institute of Technology. As someone that’s never been inside it’s little tricky to find, but after thirty minutes of walking I finally found it (LOL). It was a blast to see the several robotic technologies, the staff was very helpful and kind. Area I’s various robots were fun, and Area II’s planetary attractions were informative. But the highlight for me as a Macross fan was the Valkyrie cockpit. It’s simply amazing to see up close and in person.
The Architecture is stunning and interior is also related that the visitors can enjoy the exhibition without interuption from the public playground outside. The exhibition itself is also interesting that it shows how the printed-picture is from the original. You can also available to see the other sketches and Sumida's artwork.
A place for Hokusai FC, the museum is located at Sumida City, closed to Ryogoku Station. The building of the museum looks modern with some storytelling. They features permanent exhibition, that you can learn about the life and work of Hokusai, and the the special exhibition, which was under the bird theme during the time of our arrival. The collections are quite limited, and most of them are replicas ( probably all of them). It is not allowed to take pictures in the exhibition areas. By the way, there is a museum shop that you can buy a real handcraft woodblock prints, which serves as an impressive souvenir.
Not a large museum but very cool. Worth spending 30 mins just checking it out while you are in the mall.

Fun thing to do in Tokyo. Honestly didn't plan on coming, but it's right beside the sky tree and it was too foggy to make going up there worth it. The Sumida aquarium is not super big, in my opinion, but it's still very well done and not too expensive ($25 for adults). Here, you can see jellyfish, penguins, seals, and a bunch of other fish.

Googleマップで地域博物館を検索して見つけた「すみだ郷土文化資料館」赤いレンガの建物ということで、勝手に歴史遺産かな、と期待して訪問しましたが、イギリス積みでもフランス積みでもなく、平成10年（1998年）開館とのこと。我ながらリサーチ不足でした（苦笑）
館内撮影禁止で画像はアップできませんが、向島と本所の歴史、墨堤の花見のジオラマ、すみだの歳時記、すみだの和歌と漢詩など、決して広く無いスペースを上手く使って、なかなか見応えのある展示でしたね。
個人的には、七不思議や歳時記の浮世絵をじっくりと見れたのが◎でした。

ＪＲ総武線各駅停車両国駅西口より国技館通りを南下して両国二丁目信号を渡り両国回向院の右手の住友不動産両国ビル１Ｆにある花火の資料館である。両国駅からは徒歩３〜４分程度の距離である。入口はビルと駐車場の間に通路を通った先の半円系ドームの奥にある。入館料は無料であるが然程広くは無いのでパッと見るなら５分もかからない。展示内容こそ少なめであるが、気さくで親切な館長さんの説明を聞きながら簡単なシアターを見て、一寸した話を聞かせて頂いたが地元の方ならでは説明を交えた解説も面白く非常に有意義である。とは言え花火やもの作りに興味のある方なら面白いので時間にゆとりのある方にはお薦めできるがそうでないならお薦めしない。
近くのかき氷屋さんに行った帰り、たまたま見つけた花火資料館に行ってみました。

Was pleasantly surprised to visit this. They have a huge collection of stamps from various countries and detailed down in various languages how postal services came about. Great insights!
Wonderfully detailed, and interactive museum located on the 8th floor of the SkyTree, if you end up on the roof, and you walk around to a door that says "Closed", it's actually for something else that's closed, tap the sensor and it ought to let you in. There is a direct elevator to that area and a direct escalator (but I can't describe that); would have spent longer there but 5yr old got bored since she couldn't touch the actual robots themselves. The picture is of an interactive videogame that you play with racing wheelchairs.

当日は、浅草駅から雷門で観光し、徒歩で伺いました。途中、とてもキレイにスカイツリーも見えてステキな場所でした。
作成したガラス細工は飛行機で持って帰ったのですが、持ち運び用に包んでいただけたので安心してスーツケースに入れて持って帰れました。
とても楽しかったので、また、浅草や墨田区に訪れた際にはリューター体験をしたいです！

Located on the 9th floor of Tokyo Solamachi. You can take elevator up to the 8th floor and change to the other elevator for 8th~11th floor. Or you can take escalator up to the 8th floor and continue with elevator for the 8th~11th floor.
Entrance fee is 300 yen which you can buy from a vending machine and show it to the receptionist. Not a too big museum, just perfect in my opinion. They have English explanations too. I really enjoyed how they explain the start of sending letters in Japan and how the west influenced the advancement of postal system in Japan.
Personally, I spent about 2.5 hours here to read all the explanations whether in English or in Japanese. They have an interactive game, too, which allow you to be a virtual postman riding a post bike.

ガラスにリューターで絵を描く。そんな体験ができるお店です。初めての体験に初めは力加減が難しかったですが、慣れてくると以外に度胸が出てきます。今回はスミファというすみだのファクトリー巡りの一環としての体験でしたが、また違うグラスに沢山の絵を描いてみたいと思いました❗️

両国花火の歴史がバネルで紹介されています。また、本物の花火玉や打ち上げ筒などが展示されており、なかなか興味深いです。館内はとても狭く10分もあれば見終わってしまいますが、花火に興味のある方にはお勧めです。場所はビルの奥の方なのでて少し分かりづらいです。記念スタンプもありました。隣の回向院とセットにするとおもしろいかも。

Cheap admission and there's alot to see inside. They have a massive stamp collection that spans across all the continents and the highlight would be the Mona Lisa collage that are made from stamps. I would visit this place again.
The tower was moby to visit if you are interested in seeing Tokyo from above. It is very organized

Beautiful place! If you are interested in the postal service is a must. It should not take you more than an hour and there are a few interactive exhibition. Also entrance is only 300yen, so definitely worth it. I expected a bit more of the gift shop.
