A marvelous bridge with views of Arco dei Gavi, Castelvecchio, Adige River and Verona. Be very careful going up to and down from the balconies as there are no guardrails and no handles to hold. It is a bridge not to be skipped.

One of, if not the most beautiful places I've witnessed. Don't sleep on it, it's an absolute must-do in Verona. Romantic, beautiful, clean, qnw breathtaking during the sunset.

The views are amazing, when it isn't foggy. But the Castel itself was not as explorable as we hoped. When we went, there was a modern art exhibit about the future of the world in the face of Climate Change, modern art just isn't my cup of tea and I felt it detracted from what could have been a great historical visit to the Castel. No charge to enter.

A Night to Remember at Verona Arena

Stepping into the Verona Arena is like taking a step back in time. This ancient Roman amphitheater, standing strong since the 1st Century AD, is a sight to see all on its own. It's huge, and you can just feel the history in the air. But when night falls, and Verdi’s Aida begins, it's something else entirely.

Imagine this – hundreds of performers taking the stage in this gigantic, open-air venue. The Arena’s stone walls and the night sky are the backdrop to the epic love story unfolding before your eyes. The music is stirring, filling the entire space, making the experience even more emotional. The costumes, the sets, and the talent of the performers are top-notch, making you feel like you’ve been transported right to ancient Egypt.

Experiencing Aida at the Verona Arena is something you've got to do at least once. It's an amazing combination of history and artistry, and seeing an opera here, under the stars, is something you’ll never forget. It’s a night filled with unbelievable music, powerful performances, and a unique atmosphere that you just can’t get anywhere else. In short, it’s just incredible.

The Verona Arena is a true architectural marvel that captures the essence of history and grandeur. This well-preserved Roman amphitheater, crafted from stunning pink and white limestone, leaves visitors in awe with its colossal structure, graceful arches, and tiered seating. What sets it apart is its vibrant use as a venue for live performances, showcasing its legendary acoustics. It's best to purchase tickets online and skip the long queues at the counters. I highly recommend.

Amazing view from the city. Go for the sunset. We went with eletrical bikeverona but the way back, easier one was a bit dangerous, lots of cars, no separate bike lane as most places.

The Ponte Scaligero and the Castelvecchio have the same ornate decoration across the top, which is spectacular and very unique. This is a must see when visiting Verona and easy to walk to from the Piazza Bra, where the Colosseum is located. Just follow Via Roma to get there. The bridge is also known as the Ponte di Castelvecchio and crosses the Adige River.

Beautiful place to visit and see the views of Verona. Would recommend coming even if you’re in Verona for a short amount of time. There’s even a funicular for those less able/lazy to get to the top
Entry cost E7 with a Verona card. A very well laid out art gallery. Each room is dedicated to a different theme so art from different eras that fit that theme are in the same room. I found that different and stimulating. Clean toilets. Great view from the terrace.

A breathtaking view from the top. You can see the whole city, highly recommend going to this place when it’s coming to sunset because it’s the best. You can buy ticket for a lift, climbing onto the top takes 15-20 minutes, it’s a little tiring but it’s worth it!

Better bring some cocktail or snack to enjoy the view
Very spacious and chill square in the beating centre of the city.
The tomb itself isn't all that interesting, but the museum next to it is stunning! Very modern and informative. Definitely don't dismiss it, and when you're there to see the tomb (a one minute deal, really), buy also a ticket to the museum, you won't regret it!
It's while looking at the arena you truly feel like being transported to ancient times. The building is magnificent and awe inspiring. The only "bad" (not truly bad, but for us as visitors) thing was that it was being prepared for an opera performance, which kind of takes the vibe away a bit. But of course, it's amazing it's still being used today and I wouldn't want it any other way. The queues are super long, so it's definitely worth it buying the ticket online or using the Verona card that allows you to skip the line.

A beautiful fortified medieval bridge in Castel vecchio (old castle) in Verona. The path next to the Adige River offers amazing views of the bridge and is a perfect spot for a walk and taking photos. The bridge was constructed during the 14th century, using red brick in the upper part and white marble in the lower one. You can't miss this when visiting Verona!
The most famous square of Verona. It is beautiful, usually busy and filled with shops and a flee market with Venetian masks, souvenirs and local products. You can't miss this square when visiting Verona. The 360 view of this square is beautiful and it is a great place for taking photos. There are many places to eat or have a snack and coffee.

Bit hot inside but really beautiful art, especially for religious minded people. Restoration works are to be applauded. Climb the short flight of stairs up to the battlements if you're there. The only toilet is directly after the entrance, and it's strictly one-way traffic, so plan ahead.

Beautiful and ancient town boasting the remains of a Roman amphitheatre reputedly slightly older than the one in Rome. Not to be missed are Juliet's (supposed) balcony and statue. Lovely quaint streets full of shops abound, as do restaurants and bars. Be prepared to do a lot of walking to see all the sights and items of interest in this incredibly historical place.
Just amazing museum that we found casually! It was the best surprise! An amazing mix of antique and modern art. For sure I recommend it! The workers of the museum, since the tickets to the art rooms were so helpful! A must go place! Love it!
This is a very cool place on the banks River Bank with the old bridge, a drawbridge and a moat. It has a very nice open space and garden. Inside you can your and and see the museums as well.
This is a very cool place to visit. Nice little shops all around with restaurants and vendors. It can get a little crowded as well. The pricing doesn't seem to be too bad either. So you can enjoy ice cream , fruit or a meal.

Wow, this place is older than the Coliseum in Rome. This place also hosts events like the summer opera series. It has cushioned seats in the lower part and then the old step seating up top. It isn't as crowded as it is in Rome. A must visit.

I visted the bridge during the day and at night and it worth visiting. Walking in the bridge give a beautiful view on the river for both sides. At the end of the bridge you could go down to the left and go under the bridge where you can chill there. And there is a park with a small man-made lake, that children could play on it, at the other side of the bridge which you could have a picnic there.

Worth visiting.
A great place to cool down from the summer heat in Verona, while experiencing a range of breathtaking artworks. I quite liked the mix of contemporary and antique art, so you don’t get bored of seeing only one style. I would say it was quite expensive for being rather small, but I’m still glad I went there

The arena in Verona is one of the best-preserved Roman arenas anywhere. Even the Colliseum in Rome has come down a fair bit. Moreover, in Verona the arena is in the center of the town and there is a very active shopping and dining area full of life and activity. The city is also the setting of two of Shakespeare's plays, the eternal love story Romeo & Juliet and the Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Indeed this place will remind you of the Clouseaum of Roma, Italy. Verona is little Rome, just because of this building. A very beautiful place in the city. If you are travelling to Verona, don't miss out on this beautiful place in the city. The interior of this building is often occupied with concerts stages and opera performances. Always buy the tickets beforehand to avoid any long ques to visit this marvellous place.
It's a nice addition if you have verona card
I really liked the museum and audio guide. It is possible to use free WiFi for the guide. The view from the top floor is great and I would recommend to get the full access ticket.

Really enjoyed the visit. Booked tickets online in advance, which saved quite a queue on the day. Much is open including some of the inside walkways. Toilets at various places. It was interesting to learn about the history and also to see how it is used today 2000 years later for opera performances. Could sit and reflect for as long as we wished. Definitely the highlight of Verona.

It's nice, definitely a Veronese Hallmark, and a powerful and valuable attraction - go and see a show if you're in town. (5*)

Deducting 2 stars because the chairs (the metal ones, in the middle height section) are really uncomfortable (they lean forwards and you slide off). It's like the director never tried one. After 4 hours it's quite tough and annoying.
Remarkably well-restored castle in the heart of Verona. Most of the rooms are filled with religious artifacts and paintings. The self guided tour of the museum takes you throughout the castle and up on the parapets. My only wish is that it had air conditioning -- something that will only be more needed as global temperatures rise.

To listen Verdi in Verona Arena is unforgettable experience. 15000 people are keeping their breath and it is like you are alone with the music under the stars and the moon... and filling the connection with the ancestors. It is magical! On top, such spectacular work is done with the decors! And they re-build the scene (literally) for each act! It is a must see!

An extraordinary museum collection situated in the heart of Verona! The works of art are very well selected, they have paintings and objects that you can see in person only there. Also, the museum building is wonderfully restored. The staff are incredibly nice and always give information about the collection. Everyone should visit this gem!

Not sure if it's worthy to visit inside, you can enjoy the beauty of the place even at the center of the piazza
Free bridge with arrow cut outs, walls to scale and windows to peel out of. Great photos on and around the bridge. I would go again.
A quiet place in a heart of Verona - Worth to take a stroll through the city - i really didnt have any expectation for Verona but it turned out to be really beautiful city - good for a one day visiting
Beautiful piazza, one of the places to Put on your " go to" list if you plan to visit Verona. Not that much People comparing to similar cities in Italy
Possibly the most magnificent bridge I've ever seen! Part bridge, part castle, part fortress...absolutely beautiful and such great views up and down the river. We got some lovely photos from here. Would recommend.

Nice plaza in Verona, close to "Juliet's balcony". In the center you have a lot of shops selling street food and fruits as well as lots of souvenirs. There's several restaurants too.
There's a bone from a whale hanging in one of the arches, according to the story it's been there several years, no one knows who put it up there but the people of Verona are superstitious about removing it.

This ‘Old Castle’ is a must see in Verona! Built along the Adige river and the Castelvecchio bridge extending from there across the river, great history behind it. There is lots to see inside this museum and the Verona card gets you free entrance. The place is pretty compact but you should plan on spending at least a couple of hours, perhaps more if you want to leisurely go through the numerous displays of art. Amazing views of the river, bridges etc., once you get up to the top of the castle.
So beautiful here, usually quiet so lovely to sit on the steps and chill put for a bit. It's very central so easy to walk to and I don't think you need a long time here either.

The old buildings flanking the piazza is beautiful. Well preserved and blends quite well with the restaurants and cafes below. The center of the piazza is filled with pop up stores and it is incredibly crowded. Skirt the to the side and enjoy the views of the piazza from there.

Bought tickets to visit Tomba di Giulietta, Casa di Giulietta and Giovanni Battista Cavalcaselle for €8 each for me and my partner (€16 total), the tomb was refreshingly cold after the heat of Verona, though only worth visiting if buying the ticket for all three as without there is not much to look at. The tomb/ Giovanni Battista Cavalcaselle is only open from 14:00 though, so if doing all three, book tickets for later in the day (13:00 is probably best) so that you can go from Casa di Giulietta straight to the tomb/ museum.
Wouldn't be a trip to Verona without visiting the tomb of Juliet
Amazing pieces of history
Loads and loads of arts and sculptures of a lot of famous / amateur artists. It was very interesting but the focus could be kept only for the first 20-30 mins. After few rooms the interest starts to dip a bit. Maybe please do this visit with a guided tour. In order to finish the complete museum it will probably take almost three to four hours. We skipped almost 40% of the museum (saw all the important art pieces), still it took two hours for us.

Went to the arena on a weekday, it was not that busy at all. I recommend to take the Verona pass for 20€ to skip the queue. The Verona pass is also applicable for the other attractions within Verona.
The Arena is well maintained and the culture of this monument is explained well with pictures and audio information. You are allowed to enter the Arena and sit wherever you want to check the view from different seating classes. When I was there they were preparing the Arena for a Opera in June. So we also got to see some of the settings and backdrops of the opera.

Excellent view on Malaga from above. Nothing really to see inside and castle itself is very functional-looking. So best experience is the hike to the top through a beautiful park, completed with a gratifying view once apex is reached.
There is a toilet inside the castle, so don't worry too much, but keep in mind that entrance is paid.

There was an open air market when we went here. It was a little bit full of people, and there are a lot of stalls from souvenirs, to clothes, to streets foods. It was enjoyable.
I liked the bridge, althought it was historically a military fortress, it's a very nice touristic place in Verona. The bridge has many "windows" on its sides from where you can see the a beautiful river view. Just by the side of the bridge there is a small stoney cost where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of the flowing water of the river.
Purtroppo era in manutenzione.

The tomb is not very well-advertised as the house and museum of juliette where you can find the balcony, so it makes sense that not lots of people were visiting the tomb compared to the house/balcony/museum. The tomb's museum has amaaaaazing paintings and murals. Please visit it if in Verona 💚

It is a resting place of Juliet. Also, there are few remains of Church which is placed in a museum. There is a entry fee for this place and a free washroom (which can be handy for some). You can enter here using your Verona pass, individual ticket. There is a place to sit and relax for sometime. It is suggested to keep this place either at start or end of your trip as it is close to train station.
Nice but closed
The Palazzo Maffei Casa Museo is hosted in the astonishing 17th century baroque palace overlooking the majestic medieval “Piazza Erbe”. It hosts a newly renovated museum with an incredibly wide range of different artworks from Roman sculptures to Andy Warhol’s pop art and Futurism. Most notably a beautiful white marble head sculpture of the Roman emperor Marco Aurelio 2nd century AD, Pablo Picasso’s “Femme assise” 1953, Warhol’s “One Multicolored Marylin” 1979, Giorgio De Chirico’s “Il saluto dell’amico lontano” 1916, Lucio Fontana’s “Concetto Spaziale, Attesa” 1961. Absolutely worth the ticket (13.50€ Adults). Tip: Admire the helix-shaped spiral staircase which does not have any central support, similar to the worldwide famous Bramante’s 16th century Vatican museums one. A pure architectural marvel.

Beautiful panoramic views of the mountains valleys villages and city.

A piazza that dates from the Middle Age and is in the historical center of a very interesting city deserves to be seen. Also known as Piazza Dante (after all, there's a statue of the great writer there), it's framed by beautiful buildings and arcades.

Cool piece of history of Verona. Roman era
We walked up the steep hill from town today (Sunday) and it was closed! I have put a request in to change the hours open. The walk was lovely and the views stunning.
Good crowded place. Had an ongoing Christmas market with all sorts of small small shops setup by the locals. Place features the architectural marvels of different era on each sides.
