Loved this history museum on the Santa Clara University Campus. Wonderful exhibits but even more impressive due to the VSA’s (visitor student ambassadors) Aura and Mia. They were so professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommended this free museum!

The de Saisset Museum, nestled on the SCU campus, is a hidden gem that beckons with its rich history and enchanting exhibits. What struck me most upon my visit was the wealth of knowledge it holds, from its deep reverence for Native American culture to its captivating portrayal of the university's evolution through various stages.

Exploring the museum, one is transported through time, witnessing how everyday objects have evolved and influenced our collective humanity. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit, particularly for families with children in K-12, as there is an abundance of learning and discovery awaiting them within the museum's walls.

It's a truly enriching experience that promises to leave a lasting impression. To top it off, admission to the museum is free.

I remember this park as a kid, seemed much better than it is now. Luckily they kept the old "tubes".

South Bay Shores is one not to be missed summer fun destination. The water park at the California Great America has multiple slides, boating like experience at the rushing river where you can lie down on a big inflatable tube, the tide pool offering experience of the ocean waves, sprinkles and bucket splash for kiddies to do some rain dance. The height of the slides varies for all ages. Though some of the big ones were closed when we visited.

The South Bay shores is open only until Sep 4 2023. The park opens intermittently on weekends. Do check the calendar if you plan to go. Saturdays are usually the best days when the CGA is open until 10 while the waterpark closes at 6. So you can combine it with some other activities after that.

The waterpark has plenty of changing rooms. It has a shop in case you forgot to carry any of your swimwear and locker facility for those wanting to secure their items before hitting the water. Waterproof lanyard with touch is highly recommended to capture some memories and keep your phone safe during the activities. Life jackets are available for all ages. Gold America Seasons pass members enter free. This waterpark is comparable or may be bigger than the one at Legoland. Happy summers!!

The lifeguards are extremely rude. Every single one of them I had to deal with had a bad attitude. I was told to remove my stud earing before entering a slide which is honestly ridiculous. My son who burns easily was told to remove his swim shirt before he could ride a slide. We complied and then I watched a ton of women let up to ride the slide with their stud earrings in, and a ton of people let up to slide with swim shirts on. There was zero consistency, and almost like we were singled out. I won't be back. I can spend my cash at a far better park with staff that aren't rude to me.

South Bay Shores, the new waterpark at Great America, is a fantastic addition! The park's design is impressive, featuring new slides, restaurants, and plenty of seating. The wave pool and lazy river are especially enjoyable, catering to those who prefer a more relaxed experience. They offer convenient amenities like lockers, including extra-large ones, and cabanas available for rent. The Sand Bar next to the wave pool serves beer on tap and delicious flatbread pizza. Additionally, there's a Dip 'n Dots cart for tasty treats. Changing rooms and bathrooms are readily available, ensuring no long waits in line. However, some visitors have experienced frustratingly long lines at the restaurants, and the quality and pricing at Pier 76 were disappointing. On the bright side, Shark Bites provided a great experience with delicious food.

There is manageable queue just at the time of entering and that is because of a weekend peak hour plus bag checking process.

Once you enter, you don't find it crowded at all.

The water park is a part of year round pass of Great Americas for us. But, it's so worth.

Lots and lots of points where you can rest, keep your bags, just enjoy the view of waters. Places to buy refreshments or have your own are also completely available even in a rush hour.

Equally enjoyable for people with toddlers to the group of grown ups.

Nice walking path and playground. It was fun seeing all of the airplanes taking off from SJC as well. Will be nicer when the restrooms, which are still under construction, open up (temporary option is port-a-potties—I opted not to venture into those on the hot afternoon that we visited, but I wish you all the best if you're brave enough!)

The flowers are all around the campus so lots of level walking. Was there 4/22/23 and there were some roses with yons of buds. By mothers day the gardens should be in full bloom. The wisteria near mission was gorgeous. There was a wedding at mission so i didnt get to go inside. Nice place.

Pros: Fantastic water park with plenty of rides for (mostly) all ages, though in most of the rides they ask for 48". The water structure, along with the two swimming pools are great for young kids. There are a couple of restaurants nearby where you can grab food and drinks. Also, there are some lockers for a price
Cons: folks reserve large groups of sun beds that they NEVER use - just throw a towel in there and consider theirs for the whole day. The park should do something about it

The garden is on Santa Clara University campus. Cool place to walk through. Not much in the way of a garden. Some nice roses. The Historic Mission is nice to see in person. There are some good vantage points for photos. We then wandered the college campus.

As DJ Rockalot I performed an indoor/outdoor wedding here in June 2022
The open lawn area outside of the Adobe Lodge was perfect for the reception. We went inside for dancing which worked out well as it was cooling down outside.

A blissful quiet park in the middle of north Santa Clara.

This park offers a great location to jog and play with your pets or do yoga and meditate. Generally you will find very few people here. It's very well maintained and is large in size. The terrain is very interesting and plenty of grass to play in. Must visit during sunsets.

Nice artwork and free. Repeat. Free. Parking restrooms and water fountains around the university.
Incredible museum that will captures your imagination about the history of Santa Clara and California as a whole. They have new exhibits from time to time and the feature now is Executive Order 9066. These exhibits will challenge your heart concerning what the US Government did to Japanese living in America during WWII. You will be impressed with the art!!

What a lovely place! It wasn’t crowded on a Wednesday morning when I went. I parked on Lexington Street and walked over. Maybe 200 feet? The garden is inside of the campus of Santa Clara University. The place is well maintained. Love everything there - lawn, flowers, trees, buildings, church, museum… My grandson seemed to enjoy as much as I did. Will certainly come back again to see the rest of the campus.

It’s a small museum. There are four exhibition rooms on the first floor showing some paintings. I found the exhibits in the basement more interesting where some Ohlone history was shown. It’s not a major museum but worth going if you are in the neighborhood. I spent about 20 minutes there. However, I enjoyed seeing the rest of the campus a lot. The church and mission garden were awesome. BTW, it’s free.

What a terrible experience. Went here during the pandemic, but the place was so crowded (see the photos). Looks like they're selling the tickets without counting them. No care about the health of the visitors and staff. Also note that there's no separate entrance to the aqua park -- you have to walk for 20 minutes through the half of the park to get there. If you try to drive via Google maps, you will end up in the service parking lot, a couple of miles away from the actual entrance. Be careful.

Garden was mesmerizing beautiful. Best place to see colors in spring season. Love the place but I doubted it’s open for public too or just for university students as I could not see many people there.

We went there on a December afternoon .. it was sunny with a fantastic addition of cloudy sky. One can clearly see the mountains, clear sky and Even Moon from this garden. There were a lot of places going over us, but a great place to spend a day out in the park.

There are basketball and tennis courts nearby that you can use.
Beautiful place to visit! Went here for their first annual Pow-wow in May 2019 and was amazed at how wonderful and relaxing the grounds are. Meticulously maintained giant rose topiaries everywhere and the refreshing walkway under the massive and fragrant wisteria was amazing. There's also art pieces, some of which are interactive, tucked into various areas around the campus. Definitely worth a visit!

It's a very beautiful place with lush green gardens. The birds can be heard chirping. The flowers were blooming, the air seem to be so fresh. One can feel peace. After walking a bit I realized there is a church, museum and a theatre as well. The garden is otherwise huge and can be perfect to spend a sunny day.

Free museums are always fun to check out. This one is right in the middle of u santa clara. Its a beautifully maintained campus and the museum building has some great gardening around it. There are about 5 main exhibit halls that i saw, some exhibits are not permanent. Currently etchings from dantes inferno are really intense. Some really interesting artifacts and paintings to check out. The museum assistant was very helpful in answering questions. The museum has limited hours so be sure to check before you go.
