I came to have lunch here , as I am finishing lunch food went to my windpipe and of course I am coughing , I was gasping of breath , the sever standing didn’t even bother to come and help me out , and more over he had the nerve to get my bill and asking me to pay while I am literally trying to breathe , seriously what ever happened to common sense . Other wise the food is awesome and taste good , try the Peking duck it’s the best , but seriously the owners to train their server if they see a customer suffering like I did , at least come forward and help out
Great tasting food at a reasonable price for the location. Our waitor was very attentive and gave our son some ice cream with a candle on top for his birthday and helped sing the happy birthday song with a smile. Food portions are perfect for sharing (our usual method of eating out family style). I left feeling satisfied and content.
I can't believe this was my first time trying dim sum! Future expectations are set!

Our server was incredible! I tried the tri-nut chicken (i don't think that's the official name) based on his recommendation.. great choice! The other person in my party had the Gu-lu pork with pineapple. We also had an order of the turnip shortcakes, pork dumplings, and the duck roll. We both had two alcoholic drinks. The plum wine and lychee martini are a must try!

Excited to come back for happy hour! An easy walk from AMNH also.
Good food! But no specialty or unique dishes. The menu is very much catered to the UWS customers, but they do their dishes quite well. The pork buns were especially great, and were sweet and perfectly steamed. Service was good. Overall a nice place to have on the UWS, and great for classic (although a bit Americanized) dim sum.

I started working nearby and decided to try out this place, I placed an order for pick-up. Sweet and sour chicken and the Shanghai meat and vegetable rice. What a disappointment, will not come again. Sweet and sour it was not, barely sweet no sour and no flavor really. The rice had no meat! and no flavor at all. Not worth the $25.

Great place near Penn! Soup dumplings are fantastic and the golden pehonix buns were so creamy! Will definitely be back the next time we're in the area!! Sat down, ordered, ate all of our food, and paid in 30 minutes.
Was looking forward to trying the xiaolongbao (soup dumpling) from this restaurant, they are a bit sweeter than I am used to. Not bad, just not my preference. The pork and shrimp Shumai is a must. Wonton soup, egg drop soup, and scallion pancake are all good too. Great service!

Yummy pork dumplings and pork fried rice.. the staff are very helpful. I arrived close to closing time and the gentleman told me they closed the register but I could order thru one off the apps. Which I’m very happy I did.

A pleasant surprise. It is a small place, there was only one server but still the service was fast, the food was delicious and the price was good.

AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE. If you are looking for Shanghai food, then it’s definitely NOT the place. The food we ordered in the picture are some of the most representative dishes. However, everything cannot be worse. Too much taste of MSG, salty and watery. No authentic taste of Shanghai food at all. Totally not worth the value and very disappointing. Service is also below average. Waited 15 mins for a table BUT WE HAVE A RESERVATION.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, from the decorations to food. Everything was perfect. The beef noodle soup was exactly what I was craving and then some. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality and authenticity while still being on a budget.
Great food! We ate chicken and mushroom noodles and pork dumplings. Good price and amazing taste. Highly recommend!

The best Dim Sum that I have had in a long time. Everything we ordered was fresh, well presented, and full of flavor. The staff let us take as long as we wanted which made for a relaxing and delightful dinner. 10/10 recommend!

I have to say it’s a Chinese restaurant that worth to view. It’s rare to see a Chinese restaurant actually treat genuinely well to their customers instead of working for tips.

Truly authentic Shanghai cuisine with extremely reasonable price. Highly recommend to try their Hot and Sour soup, full of flavors, just shows how amazing their skill is. Shoutout to Lee who is such an awesome server. Thanks for making the amazing dinner more enjoyable.

Amazing spot for Shanghai style food, everything is delicious! The soup dumplings are amazing as well as the noodle dishes. My favorite dishes were the thinly shaved pork belly and the crispy eel.

I was very pleased with my dinner at @littlealleynyc and left wanting to go back for more! So many goodies on the menu at this Shanghainese restaurant.

The star of the meal for us was the salted egg rice cake. So delicious! The cauliflower is a common dish but it was also cooked super well. The other dishes were yummy too and there are still so many that I’d love to try next time!

Laid back environment with good food and interesting cocktail menu. We ordered Wound of War cocktail and it was mellow and strong which compliments the meal. For entree, we ordered 4 dishes and the food arrived so fast we were shocked. Good service and portion size. Look forward to coming back for a delicious meal again.

The best soup dumplings I have ever tried (the crab pork ones). And that is a LOT. The noodles was fire as well. Came back for the dumplings two days after I tried them the first time. Also the water didn’t taste like chlorine! :-D
Excellent indeed.

Food is so so so so good. Service is quick and polite.

I tried the steamed shrimp dumplings, spicy chicken fried rice, & pecking duck spring roll. Everything great

Love this place

Like this cute Chinese restaurant. Quite dope.

We were in a rush. The waiter was able to get us the dishes in a short time👍The pork soup dumping and pan fried pork bun are pretty good. But the watercress with enoki mushroom dish can be treated more to remove the bitterness…

Party of 3 and everything was delicious! Pork soup dumplings, Chicken soup dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, pan seared egg and chive pancake, pork wontons in chili oil, and red bean puffs were ordered. Everything was cooked perfectly, the service was great, and it wasn't very loud so you could hear the people you were dining with! Will absolutely go back!

This place had really weird vibes. The only indicator that you are at the right place is a piece of paper taped to the door of another restaurant. My chicken did not look like it was cooked all the way, TBD if I will be getting sick. The rice and sauce were good, but if you are going to get Chinese you're better off going somewhere else.

Went here for the first time today for dinner with my brother. I had the scallion pancake as an appetizer and then the chicken fried rice for my entree. The scallion pancake was very delicious and the chicken fried rice was decent. The staff was very nice and super attentive. The food came out pretty quickly and we did not have to wait too long. While it's not the most modern looking place, there is a certain ambiance to it.

Finally had lunch at Little Alley after hearing rave reviews from family who live in NYC & frequent Little Alley.
Cozy, quaint and clean with friendly & very attentive staff.
Great menu with lots of choices for vegetarian & non-vegetarians alike.
They also have specials like braised turtle, eel and oxtail soup.
Started with crab soup dumplings, scallion pancakes and sweet & sour ribs.
Moved on to stir-fried cumin lamb (came with rice) and two lunch specials: savory scallion beef and shredded pork with bamboo shoot both came with rice, soup and your choice of spring roll or marinated cucumbers.
Everything was made fresh to order, brought out hot - every bite savoury, flavorful & delicious.
Definitely worth a visit especially if you're looking for not your everyday Chinese take-out.

Very disappointed with my experience here, especially coming here after reading all the great reviews. First of all, the food was not good. It wasn’t awful. But comparing it to other Chinese restaurants in the city, it was pretty bad. Second, the interior was very shabby and rundown. Usually, this doesn’t bother me as long as the food is great. But that wasn’t the case. And finally, there were a couple of employees just sleeping on the tables. I understand if they were taking their breaks, but having staff members visibly taking naps on the tables where customers eat, is very unprofessional.

Great authentic Shanghainese food in Chinatown. Highly recommend the soup dumplings and shanghai stir fry noodles. Scallion pancakes were a-little overcooked. It can get really busy during prime time. I recommend going a bit early or later in the day.
All around great food. Had steamed dumplings and fried also. Had to getthe sesame chicken with noodles and rice because it looked too good not to. Everything tasted fresh! The beer was cold, and the server was very attentive!
The service was quick and the staff were very kind. The food was amazing — it was consistent with typical Shanghai-style food, which is characteristically on the sweeter side and full of flavor. The braised pork belly and the Shanghai thick noodles were fantastic. We also loved the cucumber appetizer. I will definitely come back here!

A little heavy on the palate but good flavors. Chickrn corn soup didnt look like much but the flavors are good. Lunch special is always a good deal at any place, we got general tso chicken w the pan fried dumplings. Chicken had actually spicy sauce. Broccoli crunch was nice nd yes.

We also ordered dan dan noodles, I wasn’t crazy about it but loved the cilantro in it. Noodle texture were just ok but the sauce was too watery nd not coating enough.

The soup dumpling filling were very mushy nd just ok, soup was also just ok inside. 2/5.

DON'T GO if you are not part of the community!!!! They treat you like dirt on the street! We went today to enjoy the food. Some woman with glasses sat us right next to the bathroom in the back, isolating us away from the other patrons! Then they refused to take our order. Instead, they took the orders of 3 other groups of Chinese customers to our disappointment. We finally got up and left. I even stated that were leaving based on our treatment. They couldn't have cared less!!! If you do not live in Chinatown or are of Chinese descent, DO NOT GO!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND INCREDIBLY RUDE!!! Try Bao and other classy restaurants in the East Village. The service is lovely as are the staff. And the food is AMAZING!

Came here with my wife for lunch. Upon walking in, I was immediately impressed with how clean the place is. We were seated by our courteous waitress. What preceeded was a dining experience that left us saying "wow" with almost every bite. Our usual excursions for Chinese food were to Chinatown but I've been feeling like the quality of food is degrading as the price goes up for our favorite places. This place did not disappoint. Steam is great!

A group of friends and I came to Chinatown for a day and wanted to find a good sit down restaurant, and we definitely did! We had to wait maybe 30 - 45 mins for a group of 8 on a weekend, which isn’t too bad, given how busy they were. The soup dumplings are definitely a must try, they were delicious. The scallion pancakes were also great. Prices were affordable given the sizes were bigger than expected. I would totally dine here again if I’m back in the area.

This place is popular. We got there and asked for a table. Host was nice. Told us it was an hour wait. We were seated within 45 minutes👍.

The soup dumplings were delicious. The skin was very thin, which takes skill! But they tear easily and they touch each other, causing the nieghbor to rip when you pick one up. My kids love them so much they say I don't order enough.

Everything tasted great.

Everything was delicious.

Scallion Pancake- Light, crispy, and very enjoyable.

General Tso's Chicken- The sauce was so flavorful. It was the perfect balance between sweet and savory.

Shanghai Style Lo Mein- Tasty thicker noodles. I love the vegetables in this dish.

I would recommend this place to anyone who wants better quality Chinese food than from fast food places.

When I think of authentic Chinese food with some good dim sum, I think go to Chinatown first, but now with Steam, I will come to Steam instead.

Extremely clean comparing to Chinatown, and smells clean too.

Quick and attentive service.

Amazing dim sum, specially the soup dumplings.

Many Cantonese or Shanghainese, classics.

Will be back for sure.

Been coming here for years and I'm unsure who the new waiter was (tattoos on hand) who tried to mandate a tip. And a 20% one at that. He acted like he didn't understand English but definitely understood $7 off a $35 bill.

I always tip but it was not mandated and I was shocked when he tried to press me. I asked another server about it and she said my tip was fine as is.

Saying that the food is good as well as their mango shake.

I ordered a serving of spicy General Tso's chicken with rice from this restaurant, and what I received was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. The moment I opened the container, I was assaulted by a foul and nauseating smell. Hidden beneath the white rice was poorly cooked chicken that was utterly revolting to eat. After enduring this horrendous meal, I was plagued with excruciating stomach pain. I suggest everyone to avoid this establishment at all costs.

Delicious mapo tofu with ground pork; this was my first time trying it. It has that numbing spicy flavor without being overwhelmingly spicy, and the tofu was so silky. We arrived around 4pm and there was a 30 minute wait, but the wait for our food once seated wasn’t too long, despite how busy they were. The crispy whole fish with sweet & sour sauce was good, although the size of the fish/amount of meat on it seemed like not that much considering the price. It was super sweet and goopy too of course, but I guess that’s expected with the sauce. Overall good experience—would try the dumplings next time, and maybe the chili fish instead.

Food was ok - felt very Americanized.

Pork soup dumplings were good, the skin was thin and it was juicy.

The pan fried buns were basically all dough and it wasn’t crispy nor crunchy.

Beef dumplings (“Holy Cow”) was pretty good.

Zhajiangmian was made with udon, not authentic at all but the sauce was decent.

The crispy whole fish was kinda interesting and so was the egg yolk shrimp and squid.

Fried shrimps were great - tender and the sauce was very delicious. Soup dumpling was probably the best I have ever had. However, our beef was very salty although i really liked the texture. I had to have it with a bowl of rice. The wait time was about 30 minutes, which was reasonable for me. Food is served quite quickly.

This was one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at. The wait was long, however it was worth it! The food was fresh, and flavorful. The waiter’s service was good. The price was respectable as well, for a table of three. When in Chinatown, Shanghai 21 is a good restaurant to enjoy a meal.

The food was good for a small cafe. It's a good place to stop in for a quick bite and a step up from a fast food joint. The crab roe soup dumpling was good and the fried chicken wings were fried to perfection. The latter was sprinkled with chili flakes, but it was more garnish than spicy. The only downside to the cafe was the lack of A/C. It was hotter than a billy goat with a blowtorch outside; inside, it felt like we were sitting in lukewarm water.
Delicious food at a good price. My favorites was the cold peanut noodles, soup dumplings and Shanghai rice noodle with meat.

Good quality food in vibrant Chinatown with friendly and efficient service. The beef chow fun was chewy and scrumptious with plenty of protein. The dumplings were thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Would like to return and explore more of the menu. Love the complimentary tea and hot chili oil too

Came here with friends after a concert had ended, and we ordered some mix and match dishes since it was technically easier on our wallets. The soju was great, and I absolutely LOVED the panko fried chicken with the sauce it came with.

I'm also super sorry about the chair that broke while I was sitting in it. The leg to it was already wobbly, and I should've asked for a more sturdier one.

The 30-minute wait was well worth it. While the Dim Sum menu is somewhat small, all of the dishes we ordered were wonderful. Standout items included the crispy Scallion Pancakes (better than Nom Wah Tea Parlor) and the Steamed Watercress and Shrimp Dumplings - incredible deliciousness housed in gorgeous green dough. We wanted the Steamed Snow Pea Leaves with Shrimp Dumplings, but they were out of snow peas. The service was attentive and excellent. The only downside is that two nearby tables with many people caused a noise level that was uncomfortable. Additional kudos for the super clean bathroom!

We ordered some pork soup dumplings, yam chow fried rice, and mayo tofu. The dumplings were served first, which was the right to do. They tasted fine and the soup was hot. While the fried rice was delicious, the tofu was a bit bland. I guess it’s more of a Shanghainese restaurant than Sichuan. So we could’ve picked on that. But the food was freshly cooked and the service was good. Atmosphere was also alright. Forgot to took the photos of the dumplings and tofu.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside but we had a very enjoyable experience. We stayed at the Motto and needed a late night bite that was walking distance. This place was a cute find. The servers were very very attentive and there was one (red head covering) that went above and beyond. She showed us how to properly eat the soup dumplings and explained the use of the sauces which I thought was very considerate.

Peking Duck spring roll- very tasty
Pork and crabmeat Xiao bao and pork Xiao bao are soup dumplings that had a really nice broth. The dumplings were soft yet firm and did not tear before landing to the spoon.
Spicy Chicken Fried Rice.with XO sauce- the rice comes.out sizzling and was very tasty. We have a pretty good spice tolerance but didn't taste any level of spice in this at all.
Scallion pancakes- pleasantly surprised. Very nice flavor and texture. Not too soggy or dry, just a well made pancake.
We grabbed something to go (fried rice and fried rice noodles) during our visit to the natural history museum. Food tastes good (maybe we were just too hungry). The service is impressively good. The women at the bar obviously loves her job. Will visit again if I’m in the neighborhood.

If I could give this place 15 stars, I would. We waited for a table for about 15 minutes, which was well worth the wait. We ordered a variety of dishes including dim sum and typical Chinese food. The service was fast and nice. However we had really high hopes for the food but the dumplings were extremely soggy and the sauce was incorrect nevertheless to say how overpriced they were (10 for $27). Come for a drink but the food we got was not good at all. And automatic 18% tip charged without letting you know

We stood 1 hour waiting at Joe’s Shanghai and paid 80 dollars and for half a price, we enjoyed the same good food at this restaurant with less wait. The lunch special was very generous in serving and worth it. The porkchop was amazziiiinng. I also enjoyed the sizzling beef and scallops. The soup dumpling was smaller than Joe’s shanghai but it is as enjoyable and melt in your mouth meat. This may be unpopular opinion but I prefer their soup dumplings over Joe Shanghai too. The thinner wrapper and size made it more manageable and won’t fill you up to enjoy the main meal. They also serve free hot green tea. The servers are all nice too. Oh, try the fried noodles too. It has a typical crowded chinese resto feel.
Awesome place to be at. The waiter was bilingual (trilingual if you count dialects). The food was very authentic that I could not stop eating. I got got thirds of the Szechuan chicken although it was spicy to a person with no spice tolerance. The atmosphere gave a very homey vibe as there was a lot of cushioned chairs. I would recommend this place to try out Chinese food and to be with friends!

Loving the varied menu of delicious and unusual dim sum offerings... Fresh mapo tofu, not too spicy, tender crab and rice soup dumplings, meaty rice pork dumplings and crispy fresh Chinese broccoli. Quiet, very clean and more upscale looking than most of the Village Chinese places. Nice tea selection and red bean bao and red bean sesame buns to finish it all off.

Authentic Chinese food in Chinatown. We got a wide variety of dumplings and other things and found the portion sizes to be generous and the food to be tasty, well cooked, and pleasantly plated. You are kept stocked up on hot tea and can order any soda or water of your choice. The sauces provided are also unique from any others I've had and add a delightful complexity to the dumplings.

If you don’t want to go to Chinatown, this is the place to hit near Penn Station for a quick “Shanghai” fix. I ordered a shredded pork soup noodles, it was probably the highlight of my dinner. Having said that, the shredded pork was too chunky still IMO. S&S Ribs were not hot and crunchy, clearly it was made ahead of time but the flavor was good. Drunken Chicken wasn’t drunk enough, lots of room for improvement.

The space is small and narrow, I think they did a good job making it cosy. The kitchen in the back is tiny and you can see the “chef” scrolling on his phone and taking calls when he didn’t have any orders. This is a big no if you work in the kitchen. Do you know how much germs are on our cell phones? Service was fine, the waitress did the basics. I’ll go to K-town next time if I want Asian food in the hood.

I’ve been here a few times and thought I’d written a review previously, but I’m not seeing it. It’s definitely deserving of some praise!

Quick caveat: I was here during early dinner hours, so I don’t know how the late night service compares.

First to the food. It’s really good! I’ve tried this style of food all over and this stacks up nicely. They extract their own noodles, so that’s huge in my book. They just taste better! The other thing I love is that you can create various combinations! As a solo diner, sometimes I want a taste of various dishes. This place gives me what I want without having to pay for three separate entrees!
Today I ordered the Jjam-jja-tang (pictured), a combination of Jjajangmyun, jjambbong and tangsuyuk. Each of the separate elements was good on its own, but wow, I love the combo!
There’s plenty of variety for those who want other options. Being a Korean-Chinese restaurant means that many traditional Chinese dishes have been adapted to the Korean palate. They even have Vietnamese Pho.
Ambiance can be described as traditional, Korean drinking house (which helps explain their late operating hours e.g. 5am on Friday night/Saturday morning), meaning a place for friends to gather, share a beverage and food, but it certainly holds its own as a regular restaurant too.
Literal side note: the kimchi was SO good!! Perfectly seasoned and tart, but not overly fermented.
Service was decent. *Something to note about Korean restaurants is that they tend to not hover and will wait for you to get their attention.
So, all that said, give this place a try!

My father and I were wandering around k-town and we came upon this amazing restaurant, we both order the Bi Bimbap. He had beef and I had chicken. The food was kept steamy and not cold which was great. I will definitely be coming back again. 10/10
Our first time eating Korean food and it doesn’t disappoint, the food was good and the service as well, you have to tried the sweet chicken that they have, it’s amazing.
I went looking for this place after seeing the reviews on Yelp. I found a place whose address matched. A large sign reading St. George Tavern was outside hanging over the entrance, and there was a piece of paper taped to the door reading Jiangnan Chinese restaurant. I went inside and was immediately struck by the interior. It looked like it was still a tavern, all wood, and a really cool looking long bar in the back. I imagined that this is what it looked like when it first started as a tavern. I didn't see any other people so I started to walk to the bar area. A voice behind me said "you can't be in here." I turned and a woman in a security guard uniform approached. She had been sitting there in the dark and I had had no idea anyone was there. I asked if I were in the right place for the restaurant as it didn't seem like I was. She told me it wasn't a restaurant. So then I asked if she might know where the Chinese restaurant was because I had the right address. She said she didn't know. Then a group of people come down the stairs that were off to my left and go to the bar. She didn't stop them. That's when I asked her why there was a piece of paper on the door outside saying this was the restaurant. Then she looked down to the bar area and changed up the story - the restaurant wasn't open yet. At this point I thought I'd entered the twighlight zone and just left. What a weird experience. I have no idea how the food is. Won't be back.
Amazingly authentic Shanghai cuisine. It’s usually not very busy so you don’t need a reservation. They serve you quickly and the food is very fresh. The soup dumplings are a favorite!

Very unassuming place, typical of what you think when it comes to chinatown.

It is best to pay in cash. I can't remember if it is a discount or just credit card fee.

Restroom requires a walk down the stairs.

Not bad for a casual Chinese food meal. The duck (cold appetizer) was the highlight, very well made. The soup dumplings were yummy but all broke since they were cooked without separation.

The shengjiangbao was basically soup dumplings pan fried, where it is usually more like buns.

Overall good for a quick meal but not to invite your Chinese parents for dinner.

Food was awesome! Dumplings are on point and the pan fried noodles with seafood were very yummy. Scallion pancakes with sauce were nice and crispy. Service was attentive and restaurant was clean. I would say affordable and cheap eats certified. I will be back!

Food was fine. A wide selection of entrees to choose from, including lots of dumplings and others types of dim sum. The soup dumplings were good but they could've used more soup, but the shrimp dumplings and shumai were tasty.

You gotta try these fried menu ( lemon cream shrimp, Pork Tang soo Yook). Amazing quality of food! Shanghai mong is very decent vibe and great food lists! Also old lady manger was so helpful and kind as other staff too.

Little Alley's service is excellent. The staff is really friendly and responsive, the food could be better though.

Little Alley is a quick and easy restaurant for a casual night out, or casual date. They do a lot of takeout as well and the service is great.

- My favorite dish I ordered was the pork soup dumplings.
- The lion's head entree is pretty unique... You'll like it if you enjoy soft, less cooked pork meat, but the meat was overall undercooked and the texture a bit too raw for my liking. The bok choy may have been my favorite part of the dish.
- The Dong Po Pork with steamed buns may have been my second favorite dish I ordered. The meat was a bit dry, the sauce and fat made up for it, but it wasn't excellent. The buns made for a good bite when assembled together.
I didn't ask if they put msg in their food, but I'm quite sensitive to Monosodium glutamate, which is used in East Asian restaurants a lot, and I didn't feel great after the meal.
- The fish fillet in red wine sauce has a very soft texture and gooey sauce that just melts/falls off when picked up. The sauce was a bit too thick and greesy for my liking. Probably not the best quality fish out there either. The dish has wood ear and snow peas, which are always a nice add of fresh veggies.
- The cocktails were ok. I liked that the bartender made adjustments to my drink e.g., no sugar/simple syrup or substitutions of alcohol, which was nice. I got the cucumber Class 3-2 which was a little bitter but unlike any other cocktail I've had before, so I enjoyed it.

second time here and the food was VERY good. The owner may seem to have an attitude but that’s just how everything works. She’s actually quite nice. I came here for the food so I wasn’t bothered with whether the service is good or not. The whole dinner cost us $68 for 4 people with 5 dishes. They were all very tasty. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off because this place deserves to have more business. Shout out to the hard working owner too. She was the only one taking care of all the tables but still very helpful. Definitely give this place a try guys!

Great lunch! For around $9 you get a decent dish with rice and soup. They serve tea too. I have to say the quality of this lunch dish at this price is way far exceed the expectation.

I ordered a spicy sautéed chicken and the moment you put into your mouth you will realize it is fresh right out of the wok.

The only thing I have to complain about is their wifi. There is no wifi available at this location. probably they don't know how to set it up properly.

Please order their fried rice!!! It’s fantastic!!!! The pork soup dumplings are good, but the dumpling skin is a bit thick. The last time I come here there’s only one server and I kept waiting to be served for a long time. They provided better service than the last time I visited ( a lot better, tbh), so I guess I would visit again.

Food was delicious! We tried the fried dumplings, the soup dumplings and the Szechuan style pork dumplings.
They only accept debit cards or cash. Service was below average, felt rushed out and the restaurant had some open tables.

Jiangnan Chinese cuisine is famous in Flushing NewYork area. One of the best rated restaurant to go to. Food is tasty and the place is clean. This place is always busy. The steam fish and the Peking duck taste good.
Soup dumplings (pork) were dry in their tips. Pork mass was not special.
Do not order the black mushroom with silk tofu dish because it has literally one black mushroom and the black sauce for the tofu is full of cornstarch.
On Saturdays they do not serve the lunch menu so this dish is twice the price today and is not good.
Service was above par and likewise the food. I ordered the Stir fry lamb. This dish is delicious but packs some heat.
The name doesn’t lie! The food here was delicious. We got the soup dumplings, hot and spicy wontons, scallion pancakes, and Shanghai noodles. The service from the staff was incredible and attentive. Will gladly be coming back.
The food and service was amazing. Very pleasant atmosphere and great drinks. Perfect for a family dinner, with delicious classic and authentic dishes. Pecking duck is a Must, as well as the short ribs, melt in your mouth! Can’t wait to try everything else.

One of the best soup dumplings you will find in the city. The service is nice, good dining vibes, not too busy for Sunday morning.

The crab soup dumplings and pork soup dumplings are both phenomenal. Wraps are not too thick and juice is flavorful.

Also recommend fried buns (pork + cabbage), braise beef, nanjin duck (brined flavor), and beef pancake.
The place was not very well kept, there were insects flying around, mosquitoes, flies, etc. There was just one waiter and a bartender who were attending to the guests. The service was fairly quick though.

The drinks were quite strong, one cocktail hit like me like has 2..

Food was very okayish..
Pan fried pork dumpling was the only thing which tasted normal, served with a bare min presentation.
Hot and sour soup was more sour than hot, maybe excess vinegar.
And the Hunan style chicken had more cut spice than chicken and was dry.. my tongue started to feel fuzzy with the kind of spice they used in it..

Overall, I would recommend this place more for cocktails than the Chinese food
Salt and pepper shrimp was terrible. You had to dismantle the whole shrimp with your hands for over priced charges… soup dumplings were ehhh. And over priced. The menu in photos has definitely changed since they merged with the bar downstairs. There was also some CRAZY yelling downstairs in the kitchen for a good 5-10 min. Will probably never come back here tbh. Come here if you’re lonely and want to sit in your sorrow. Music is very come down…?
I'm going to keep this brief as possible.

The service was extremely attentive. My water glass didn't have a chance to empty. The waiter checked in on my party frequently, which I like.

The decor inside was elegant with low calming music which sets a pleasant atmosphere. The chairs were comfortable, sturdy & plus size friendly. I say this as a plus sized person with an ample bottom & hips.

The food was brought to the table quickly and piping hot. When I say piping hot I'm NOT exaggerating about the temp. When the food arrives please let it cool for a minute or two or you will burn the hell out of your mouth. The quality and the taste was wonderful. Every thing was fresh, well seasoned, and all around yummy.
All in all TriDimWest is a lovely place to dine. Treat yourself and go.
Super delicious! It's a hidden gem with lovely staff, a modern/hip design, and pretty plates. Also, they offer Mapo Tofu without Beef which I was happy about. I'm definitely coming back here, especially for the Pickled Cabbage and Fish Fillet soap.

Next time, I'll try the cold cucumber dish ☺️
