14$ Ham Egg n cheese with a bottle of water
Also no egg in it, overpriced, charging starving students way too much for nothing.
Friendly and caring spot in the neighborhood, delicious smoothies and juices!!!

We bought 5 huge delicious muffins and a large chocolate croissant 🥐 for breakfast the next morning in our hotel. Oh! They were so moist and tasty! The muffins are large & the croissant was massive. 4.40-4.95 each which was cheaper than the deli down the street. The deli down the street wanted $6 each and they were smaller. We also grabbed a few juices to go. Nice men working behind the counter. Homemade without having to cook 💕 I will say, I read other reviews and don’t agree with their issues on pricing. Everything is priced on the board & you can also ask. Food prices are high everywhere & this is New York City, super close to Times Square so you have to expect that. Honestly though, $5 for a muffin is only .50 higher than my hometown so I was pleased. I noticed the amount of meat they put on a sandwich is very generous so I’m sure that makes sense too in their pricing. Good quality and good service at a prime location establishes the price. It’s a great value in my opinion.

Very clean and bright NYC deli with friendly and quick service. Nova Lox was good, wouldn’t waste time with bagel+omelette combos. The pastry I tried was mediocre. Overall I would recommend the place for the nova lox!

Terrible deli. Terrible service. They wouldn’t let me in to buy water but let all the cops in to hydrate before beating up protestors. Don’t support

1 star is too much for them!! They use to be good but got extremely lazy! In the mornings they pour "eggs" out of a pitcher onto the grill! Forget about at night, the guy on the grill is miserable & extremely lazy!! Has messed up my order twice & I won't be going back again! Absolutely terrible! Better off walking 1 block to 11th & going to that deli!

We stayed at the Park Central Hotel which is only a few doors north of the Premier. Every morning, I picked up breakfast for my family and we ate in the hotel’s large bar/ dining area. It was so much more comfortable and less expensive than going to a sit down restaurant! The food was great. The service was excellent. It felt like an authentic New York eating experience! Avoid the chains. Go with the real deal!

So this place is utterly chaotic in the morning 😂 we had no idea where to stand or what to do and we were just really confused. They were not patient with us at all but once we got our bearings and knew what to ask for every other time was fine. We were staying close by so came here for breakfast every morning. The food is tasty and fresh and there is lots to choose from. It is expensive if you get a platter but it was close by and tasty so kept going back, which I think says a lot. If you enter in the morning then good luck 😂
Mostly empty deli with a lot of different stations. Sandwiches and soup ok. Upstairs dining area was rough with three different group of men all heavily drinking tallboys and 40 ouncers. A security guard also present upstairs so it didn’t feel unsafe but definitely not a place you wanna eat or hang out.

Girls are the counter are rude. Placed an order ahead on the website. I arrive and get ignored. When one finally speaks to me she had an attitude like she was annoyed I was there. Then they had me grab all the other items I had ordered. When I got to work my breakfast sandwich was all wrong. My bagel wasn’t scooped or toasted and the wrong cheese was used.

Got stuck waiting in midtown on a cold day and did not want to take and go. Their homemade soup is cute and dining area has an ambient feel. Soup / deli station attendant was also kind and generous. I already ate some!

The only reason I’m leaving this review is because only one staff member was kind enough to come clean the table and floor. The other staff members act like it was forbidden then they said in Spanish it’s not that dirty they can sit. After that my brother demanded a refund and told her u don’t know who’s who and everyone is to be treated with respect and kindness!!
They all need to be let go except the little short lady who was actually professional and nice!!

Another great sandwich and bang for the buck. Pastrami this time around.
Classic deli a block south of Grand Central. Definately worth the walk if you have time before your train. Good omelette and coffee. You may save some $ over the price at the station!

Ordered on DoorDash. The Lenwich pastrami sandwich is yummy! I would get it again if I was in the area, not worth it with all the fees tho. The “steakwich” was disappointing to me, definitely not worth the price and mediocre.

Awful experience. Over priced. I had to put the condiments myself. Ridiculous. I ordered a sandwich and the deli worker put the condiments that I wanted separately in containers not on the inside side of the sandwich.
Make sure you take your receipt because there’s a Chinese lady at the cash register. t she’ll she won’t even ask you if you want a bag, but
even when you say no she already charges you for the bag..five cents.. they’ve made thousands of dollars of charging people for bags. even when you tell him, you don’t want to beg she charges you look at your receipt. complaint has been filed against them. Get your receipts they will charge you an extra five cents without you, knowing I can’t tell you how much money they’ve made off of people by stealing it from them.
I get it’s only five cents but that adds up and what she’s doing is illegal.

UPDATE: If I could give ZERO stars based on the customer service I received today, I would. Today, 2/24 @ 9am, I came in to buy milk; I was not greeted by anyone, and there were A LOT of workers behind the counter. Notably, the two men and one woman at the registers were all frowning; perhaps they had just had an argument before I came in? I'm really not sure what their problem was The woman at the register made no eye contact whatsoever, there was no warmth or welcome in her tone of voice, and she basically slammed my change back on the table and pushed it toward me. Surprisingly enough, when a customer was being helped by another man at the next register, he smiled and greeted her. I even looked in their direction, searching for the hidden cameras to see if some kind of social experiment was being filmed. I'm human; obviously, we all have bad days, so I told the woman, "have a good one" as I collected my change, but she still made no eye contact or any gesture in acknowledgement. I guess you're training your staff to exclusively save their professionalism for tourists, so I know that my coworkers and I won't be missed... But we won't be back.

I treated myself to a $15(ish) chicken Caesar wrap around lunchtime on December 21st 2023. The wrap was drenched in salad dressing so that the whole thing was disgustingly soggy. It looked as though this might have been done in an effort to disguise the fact that the lettuce appeared to be significantly wilted. Foolishly I convinced myself otherwise and still tried to eat it. Couldn't finish more than a half of it and was rewarded for my efforts with a stomach upset a couple of hours later. A thoroughly depressing experience. Whoever prepared my lunch did not do so in good faith.

I am a regular at this location. Today, Saturday, 1/6/24, at around 2 PM EST, I had a very rude salad making employee attempt to serve me. I walked out rather than put up with his angry glares, slow motion, and admonishments about “not touching the glass” when I was trying to point out what kind of chicken i wanted on my salad. This was my 2nd unpleasant encounter with this bowl and ingredients throwing employee. Hope this helps the management. This is ordinarily a nice place. Been coming here since it opened! 😢

Premier Deli is the first New York deli I have ever tried- I would eat there everyday if I could.
I had the freshest, most yummy sandwich, soup, and came back the next day to try their rotisserie chicken with carrots and potatoes.
They have amazing coffee and an incredible selection of baked goods. Not only was the food amazing, but the people that own it are as well, they provided exeptional service.
Almost $20 for dry chicken, oily mac and cheese, and very wilted veggies. Mashed potatoes were dry. Sweet potatoes were fine. You can get a much better, more filling meal just around the corner for less. The upstairs area is pleasant and loud.

The very rude person who answered the phone today told me my delivery order would take an hour. It never arrived.
When I called to ask where it was over two hours later I was told by the same rude woman that it was on the way. Still no order arrived. I asked for her name and she put the phone down on me and said I did not need to know her name!!
Terribly rude and she should not be in the customer service business

$20 for a pastrami on rye - And, their own website says this quote tearing into other genuine local deli’s. “Jewish deli ... Now these sandwiches are not these enormous sandwiches that many of the well-known Jewish delis in NYC serve, they are also not $22/ea.”.

But they are $20. Really.

Classic NY deli 2 blocks south of Central Park. They have all the classic options, the pastrami and the lox bagel were perfect. The best part was how fast the service was, no crazy lines like at Kats, and the pastrami was just as good! There is a large seating area upstairs. Best part is, you’re just a short walk away from Central Park!

A very traditional deli in NYC, located in the 3rd Avenue. The place is small, but you can choose between seating on a table or over the balcony. There are several options in the menu, but the corned beef and the pastrami seem to be the most ordered. I've had the corned beef sandwich - it was only bread and the meat - and it was ok.
love this place!!! reasonable prices, the kindest staff, and they have everything you could ever need. highly recommend to anyone!

Great food in an unpretentious setting with friendly service. We wanted to try authentic kosher cuisine while visiting NY so we headed to PJ Bernstein's deli. We both had chicken soup which was delicious, my husband had the bomb knish and I had the Reuben, thank goodness only a half as it was huge! All superb, would definitely recommend.

Delicious food even though the bread was dry. We would definitely be back to give them another try, and I would recommend asking for the bread to be toasted. There are plenty more options to choose from, and they looked pretty good. We got the pastrami sandwich and a tuna and coleslaw sandwich. The tuna and coleslaw were much better and tasted delicious. The pastrami was great, but the sandwich was ok, nothing more. Overall, I would recommend trying it out and asking for the bread to be different from white or toasted.

The real deal for Jewish Deli! Historic restaurant with some of the best comfort food in NYC! The pastrami was lean and delicious . The noddle pudding was perfect. The kasha was ok, not the flavor I remember probably due a change in ingredients. Overall this is a place every visitor to NYC should try at least once for the old school experience. You might just fall in love with the food, the old style building, and the very personable staff!

Chicken cutlet wrap is always great. Other deli down the street can’t do a buffalo chicken cutlet wrap the same.
Nice place for midtown. Decent pricing, when taking inflation into account. The upstairs seating could be cleaner. The outdoor seating is ok but is not monitored. While eating, I observed a homeless guy roll up on a citibike, dig through a nearby trashcan, and then sit down to eat at the tables in the outdoor stall.
I dropped in for an Omlette (Monterey) and bagel (cheese and tomato) this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavours. Service was quick, and the price was half that of a diner. Good cheap eat, I will be back.

This place, while maybe appearing like an overpriced tourist trap, is one of the best Jewish diners I’ve been to. I split both the matzo ball soup and pastrami sandwich with my mother. The presentation of the soup was a nice touch, but what I really loved was the food itself. The broth was a bit light but very enjoyable, the carrots were perfectly steamed to a balance of crisp and mush, and the matzo ball was buttery and soaked up the flavor of the soup very well. The pastrami sandwich came with a generous portion of pastrami, which was juicy and flavorful. The rye bread was nice and the challah bread the matzo ball soup came with was perfectly fluffy and just a little sweet. Aside from the amazing food, the service and atmosphere of this place is also incredible. I only wish the prices were lower so I could come more often!

Now I remember why I stopped going here. Ordered a hero. They put it on a roll. NOT TOASTED. The roll is black very TOASTED. I did not realize this until I was at my job, and could not turn around and go back. Did I mention the flies. Big no more on this place
Freshest chicken cutlet sandwiches and tasty fries. The burgers are normal but they seem to hit the spot for the average crave.
Simply put, they are over priced and don’t listen. Sandwich maker had a bad attitude and didn’t write down or follow simple instructions. I asked for chopped tomato and lettuce and extra cheese, as you can tell I got niether. And both of our bread (roll and hero) were very dry.
Been here twice from Grand central in the past few weeks. Will not be going back

Horrible experience every time when we visit here with hispanic guy who works here in the night time . Never do the job right always arguing for not giving what we ask for. Its not the first time happening, been happening in my every single visit. Someone from the management need to speak to him….
Talking about the food, they really have huge varieties of sandwiches, smoothies as well as fresh natural juices. This little deli is so clean and offers enormous portions of foods. Definitely worth getting foods from here.

My personal favorite is Tex-mex cheesesteak 🌯and healthy energy fresh squeezed juice🥤

Also the manager, Musleh is so kind and super friendly. The employees are very professional they always greet you with smile. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve been coming to Roosevelt Gourmet Deli since I moved to this area (4 years ago). What keeps me coming back is the fact that they make better sandwiches than the corner store on my block. Getting a sandwich made by Danny is a must.

With that I’ve come to see that they build a friendly relationship with you even if you’re not a regular - this includes Sikha, the petite, dark-haired young woman currently behind the register - great service and demeanor.

The store is clean and well-lit with great selection. You also seem to get a discount if you’re a CBS or Mount Sinai employee, which is pretty cool, so pull out your IDs.

Two thumbs up, highly recommend.

Horrible staff and management! My boss asked me to order delivery for lunch (on 8/18/23 at 1pm) the guy at the deli was too lazy to enter credit card info over the phone so he lied and said their credit card machine was broken. I walked down there in person and sure enough, their machine was working fine! I used to come here all the time but now they've lost a customer for life, and after reading some of these other horror story comments of stealing money from customers, adding secret fees and tips, and mistreating people of color, I see now that some really terrible people run this establishment.

My first visit to United We Stand was alright. Came during the lunch rush, so of course it was a little busy. I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich on a roll. Everything but the actual chicken cutlet was good. The chicken was a little bland and definitely rubbery. I don’t recommend order that sandwich. Service was good otherwise.

Premier Deli is a great place for a sandwich, something sweet or breakfast, which is served all day. They also serve pasta and hot dishes. Samples of the food are on display so you can see what you are ordering. Pick what you like and they prepare it to order. The food is served quickly and hot. Plenty seating with an upstairs area. A really good spot for a quick bite. My only concern was the pastries very a bit stale.
They have a wide variety of offerings, but what does it matter if their food quality and cleanliness is terrible? My friend and I came here for a quick lunch (I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and she ordered an Italian sandwich), and we both got food poisoning from the food here. Will not be coming here again.

I've been a customer since they opened, close to 40 years ago. The best bodega in the city, bar none. Great "deli-style" stuffed sandwiches and paninis. Fair priced, too, although they can vary a dollar or two from day-to-day when the register is being slammed by custmers. It comes out in the wash over time.

First timer at this deli. Ordered the corned beef and swiss on a hardroll with the deli mustard. It was good and hot but I ended up saving it for the next day at lunch. I was a bit worried about that but I was too full from bagels that morning. The sandwhich was the BEST corned beef I've ever had. Very impressed with the taste and freshness of everything. Simply excellent.

i ordered a sandwich and had the charge screen up $10.96 counting tax i used my Apple Pay and after I left I saw they charged me two extra dollars which they are charging as gratuity to themselves as a scam stealing from people. Make sure you ask for a receipt if you do bother coming here they will rob you. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau as well as my bank to do a charge back!

Walked in, decided what I wanted in about 30 seconds, and then waited to be asked what I wanted... Everyone seemed to be playing chicken as to who would take my order. After 5 minutes, I left. I figured that if they could not be bothered to take my order, then I should not trust them to make a sandwich.
Chipotle chicken avocado sandwich was elite… paired with the green monster smoothie… perfection. Clean store and great vibes!

Don't miss the matzo ball soup and the hot corn beef /pastrami sandwich.
This place has an old newyork charm to it.
We went here on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait for atleast 20mins. Consider that if you visit it in peak hours.
The prices are moderately expensive but there isn't any place in the neighborhood like it. The food makes up for the extra bucks.
If you like katz's you have to come here.
We liked everything we ordered, the stuffed cabbage was a little too sweet for my taste, but was well cooked. The slaw was absolutely delicious.
Good service overall, we had no complaints.

Came in today 9/12 approx 12:50pm was standing by sandwich makers for about 5 minutes. Asked guy making sandwich if he was the only one because no one said anything to me. He ignored me. Had to get right up on him and raise my voice. He looked up said something inaudible then continued making the sandwich. I went up and asked again louder. He finally looked up and said you don’t order here you order at register. After standing there for so long I felt dumb. I responded and asked how was I supposed to know that I don’t see any signs. So I walked out hungry as idk what. I really wanted to order but I refuse to pay top dollar to people who seem like they don’t want or care about my business.

This does not replace Carnegie Deli that closed down in midtown NYC. The staff matches the friendliness and service. A good sign. The pastrami was not as juicy as other delis. The brisket was drier than the pastrami. They give you huge servings so you can split the servings. Get the egg salad sandwich and soup.

Most of the food I've had here has been tasty, with the exception of the home fries which were a bit bland, soft and potato-y. There's a lot of snacks and drinks to choose from and the menu is quite expansive.

Staff are friendly enough and efficient. My biggest gripe is that they're on the expensive side, but if they weren't so consistent I'd have found a new breakfast spot.

Went here for a sandwich. The guy making it dismissed me for one of his regulars. I'm new to the area and to this place (first and last visit). He messed up my order then spoke to me as if it was my fault. I'm not sure how they're hiring incompetent people when there's plenty of better qualified sandwich makers.

Ordered a basic tuna melt with lettuce and tomato. Somehow the guy making the sandwich didn’t know the difference between a tuna melt and a tuna on a toast bun. He gave me attitude when I mentioned it and said it was my fault for not telling him how to make a tuna melt. He said it’s because he doesn’t know me. If that place had to stay open based on the people he knows, it wouldn’t exist. You can’t be dismissive with peoples food.

Very disappointed, I usually love ordering from this place but they always miss something in the order. I tried to get a refund, had the receipt and order number, and they said they were out of the soup. Why not just inform me and not charge me? The refund process was such a headache I just let them keep the extra cash. I think this will be my last time coming there.

Don’t really follow COVID protocol and sell expired or past “Best By” dates items. The staff that actually cooks does make sure to wear masks and gloves properly.

East Way Deli is my favorite bodega in all of NYC. The food is always spectacular, and they don't gouge you on prices (even during this pandemic, which I'm sure has hurt their business.) Mike, one of the guys behind the counter, really cares about the community and the quality of his food. Go once and you'll never stop coming back.
Roosevelt Gourmet is a classic, high end deli, serving sandwiches, burgers, paninis, salads and cakes in addition to offering a good selection of drinks, snacks and sweets. The sandwiches are good, and this is a nice place for a quick bite at any time, as it is open 24/7. The people working here adds to the nice atmosphere.

Great little hidden jem. I had their burger - it's exactly how you'd want your burger to be.. The steak was juicy and full of flavour, perfectly done at medium rare with just the right amount of seasonings. All that plus a slice of cheese and still below $14 - it can't get any better than the this.
Don't forget the chopped chicken liver - one of the regular told me that she loves that item and it truly was a delicious starter. The waiting staff were lovely too.
Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely coming again!

Food here is great, and the prices are cheap. And not even NYC cheap... regular cheap for a deli anywhere in America. I also like that the staff never screws up any orders here. Whether you want a sandwich as-is from the menu, want to change something, or make your own creation from scratch, they'll get it right every time.

Love coming here. It can get a bit congested during peak lunch hours and whatnot but it's worth it.

This place is takeout only. No tables here.

Had bad experience 2 out of 3 times. On my recent visit, The night chef put such a little amount of tuna in my tuna melt that It was an insult. I couldn’t finish first half. I am sure he didn’t like me for some reason. I live nearby and feel sad to have such a negative vibe walking past a place. I never write reviews unless I want to strongly recommend a waiter or a restaurant. I never felt compelled to write a bad review but I have never been more frustrated. I hope I never have to go to them again!

Good flavor, clean and fresh, just be careful as they tend to over charge for simple things like a simple omelet you end paying extra even for the time of the day that you order it!

I always get my deli order wrong and then they expect me to go back and show them what they did wrong. I have a job and I can't just go back to make sure they get it right! And they are rude on the phone. Customer is always right. They definitely lost business with me. I won't even buy a juice from these people.
