Right next to Golden Gardens Park. It’s great to walk by and do some “what if I had a boat” dreaming:) I found a couple of apple 🍎 trees growing horizontally over the ocean!
Fun place for a picnic or to pick up a casual meal at Maggie's. At different times of years you might catch a famous yacht (Mirabella V)
The bathroom/locker room/showers for marina guests/tenants are amazing!!! They’ve upgraded since my last stay years ago. Best marina facilities I have experienced. Thoughtful design: tons of hooks, multiple drains, and ventilation in each shower stall. In addition the door shows the lock unlock status (unless you’re color blind) and there’s no gaps between the stall partitions. Your card gets you an ample 6 minutes to shower—no quarters needed. The shower head has different spray options 🤯. There’s also a soap dispenser in the shower stall. All stalls have a separate changing area/dry area.
In the sink area, they provide a hand dryer and paper towels. There’s also a baby changing table with a paper towel dispenser adjacent. Lots of additional vanity space for drying hair/applying makeup/staring at yourself.

Very impressed with this marina for its access to downtown Seattle, clean facilities, and helpful staff.
Great place to stay the night on the boat for early fishing the next morning! Really nice showers and bathroom facilities, shore power and water, pet friendly yet quite and peaceful. All at a great price! We'll definitely be back.
Best marina on the coast. Very organized, clean and all the necessary facilities. Great staff and beautiful atmosphere. I will return next year. I love it. The beach next to it is beautiful you have paths you can walk around and hike. it's easy to get groceries in the neighborhood and you have oublic transportation bear as well. restaurants, bars and more
Thank you for hosting the Hokule'a and a tour of the double hull canoe. The weather was perfect! The portable toilets were clean and we had a snack at Anthony's Fish Bar. I wouldn't recommend the poke bowl, though. I should have ordered the fish and chips or chowder. Save the poke for the sushiya!

For a marina that’s supposedly secure and safe and charges premium prices you get nothing when theft occurs. Expect radio silence.
There’s no security cameras or security at all for that matter. I highly recommend not doing business with these greedy people. Plenty of other reputable marinas in Lake Union that provide much better service. Lesson learned!

A lovely marina at the the North End of the city, near Magnolia. This is where we pilot most of the boats we reserve from our Freedom Boat Club membership. Two restaurants, plenty of parking and the views of the city are spectacular from here, especially during the mornings and evenings.
I recently moved our vintage, beloved yellow sailboat here from South Leschi, Lakewood's sister marina and am loving the quiet, eclectic nature of this place. Tucked above the evergreen hillside of Seward Park on the shores of Lake Washington, it feels like a distant forested oasis yet right in the middle of the city.

Gorgeous! Often the upper area is closed for private affairs. When The Mountain is Out, it's a wonderful vantage point!
Beautiful Marina. Such a relaxing place. We toured the Adventuress. Met the Captain and crew doing repairs to make it ready for Camps and Sailing. Such a wonderful bunch of friendly people who took time out of their busy schedules to talk to us and serve coffee and give us a nice history lesson. The Adventuress is a historical Schooner and we should all support their efforts. I'm glad I was able to learn more about it. There are beautiful flowers and hummingbirds flitting around the Marina. Water has a very calming effect on me. Now that I'm aware of this place I'm adding it to my list of places to walk, ride, eat, and unwind.

Saw an amazing wooden boat show when we visited. It was free to the public and an amazing time.
Large beautiful marina on Puget Sound with a protective jetty, Liverpool amenities, a number of clubs that teach sailing, and facilities that are very well maintained

What’s perfect about this place? Let me count the ways. First it’s next to the water and all the napping boats as they wait for their next great adventure out into the Sound. Seeing all the boats and their curious names always stirs the imagination. Second, this venue connects directly to Golden Gardens. If you decide you need to get some beach. Don’t forget the reservoir at the far end of Golden Gardens, which is rich with wild fowl. If you have kids or elderly parents, it’s lovely to watch how much they enjoy the activity of the birds. But I digress.
Third, if you’re walking with children or elderly parents, one of the best things is to pass a little library abut the sailing center (which has public restrooms, in case you need them). Then you turn the corner and come to a larger than statue of Leif Erikson, and thousands of names of immigrants on the years they came over, so certainly families in the area contract their lineage back to a particular ancestor. Very cool.
Fourth, I like it most probably because I feels safe when walking the boardwalk. The boardwalks are well maintained so they make for even walking when you have injuries and other considerations for elderly parents to be able to walk on even reliable ground.
Fifth at sunset the view of the Olympics is breathtaking. Sometimes the wild waterfall will land or takeoff and if you look carefully on a summers day down into the clear waters under the dock, you’ll see schools of fish.
Sixth this time of year, the sea lions are hanging out far off by the rocks, and you can hear them barking happily. There’s never a bad time to walk here — whether it’s in the fog, the rain, catching the evening blush of a sunset, a hot summer’s day (you can get ice cream at that little place with the funky giant air balloon waving hello between the parking lot that joins Golden Gardens and the marina). I suppose if you’re very lucky you’ll get to take a strolling under the summer stars with your favorite Tom. I just haven’t been that lucky…yet.

Beautiful place to take a nice long stroll with a beautiful view of the water and the marina. If you’re looking for a beautiful view, I would suggest going around sunset. The reflection of the sun in the water is beautiful and the way it fades over the Horizon is very romantic.

It is actually gorgeous down here wnew parks & piers .went fishing .not catch a thing but fish were jumping outta river like crazy.never seen anything like this before.

Great area of the Seattle waterfront to explore. You can watch the cruise ships come and go, enjoy a meal at one of the area restaurants or stay at the historic Edgewater hotel. There are many attractions in the area to explore as well. I recommend spending a nice afternoon with the family. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎
This is located at Golden Gardens in Ballard i grew up there and this is one of my favorite places. They brought this park back to the old days giving back the sand dunes it has an amazing walking path and the beach is beautiful. There is a Marina and restaurants all down the area Ray's Boat house is s favorite! Also it is only 1 mile from the Hiram Chittenden locks. . another amazing spot! There is a lot to do here winter spring summer and fall!!
Coming from out of state it's so crazy to me how much the wildlife does not fear humans here. I caught a photo of this little guy just vibing between me and the wife. We fed him which I'm sure was his goal but yeah it's a fun time. 70-85 degrees was the weather we were outside at so it was almost chilly with the sea breeze. ( Keep in mind we just came from 115 degree weather ).
My sister keeps her boat there and it's a beautiful Marina. It's secure, clean and well maintained. They have Christmas boat lights and holiday decorations etc. It's quiet and peaceful, they don't allow people living on their boats so it's a very well kept Marina.
Fun to explore. We were on an electric boat which has the worst steering, but fun to roam the waterways anyway.
Boat owners beware. Don't be fooled by the fact that they may be the only ones in Lake Union that has an open spot. There is a good reason for this. This marina is, in my opinion, the worst marina in the entire Puget Sound area. Ownership does not care at all about tenants. I moored there, but after having the Manager himself sand the paint off a old, large boat right into the water and on my $500k yacht, it was obvious the operation does not abide by any standards or state codes. I have submitted pictures to the Puget Sound EPA and hopefully they can deal with the owners. The situation became appalling and the management is a disorganized mess. Even paying a simple moorage bill became an all-out mess. For those desperate for moorage at Lake Union, I would think hard about using them as a last ditch option.
Busy little location with a few retailers. Lots of boats and a new development, Fritz Hedges Waterway Park was recently added. Drive slowly on Boat Street.....lots of ducks crossing the street.

our second home! absolutely beautiful marina. we are so blessed to have our boat here. the staff is so friendly & they keep everything very clean. the bathrooms are always perfectly spotless with the best tunes. great paddle boarding and beach walk!the rates for our slip did increase sadly so we may have to move our boat somewhere else but we really loved being apart of this incredible little private marina.

Great marina! Staff is what makes this a great moorage. Knowjledgeable, friendly and helpful. Being in such close proximity to the locks and lake union makes it ideal spot to plan a trip from.

Going on our 5th year at this marina and we love it here. Doug, the marina manager, is awesome! He helps everybody. We love the amenities and the cleanliness. It's like a one big family here. If we need a mechanic or a boat detailer, they can usually find or recommend someone. The marina has its own pump out station. There is even a tow boat on site in case someone needs assistance. All around one good place and safe!
A quiet, reflective spot. With a beautiful location on Lake Washington and a view of the Cascades, this park is a joy to behold.

I only went here one time, the stars are for my love, not the marina or what ended up happening here.
Beautiful area for a walk, especially on a brisk fall day. Easy access to the sand. Or stay up on one of the compacted dirt pathways. If you enjoy trains it is the perfect place to hang out as there is a mainline track bordering the property. There are public, handicapped accessible restrooms.

Awesome service! Got a last minute slip the weekend of Seafair. Ran into some issues & need to stay an extra day and they were able to accommodate. Gave us a coupon for Anthony's to boot! We have a 27 ft sailboat which felt very secure in the middle of downtown Seattle. Bathrooms were clean and secure as well. Small marina but great spot if you can get in.

We keep our boat here and it's so convenient to everything. We dont have to be stuck in traffic just to get down to the boat for an outing when the weather is nice out.
We have moored our boat there for 5 years. Very nice docks. Very quiet. No boat launch.
Good marina and boatyard with helpful staff. There is some property theft in the neighborhood, so it's worth keeping your things secure in the yard. Overall, a great experience for us.
Love it. If I am here I am going out on my friends boat. Who doesn't love that? This place is well run and friendly.
My only issue was water pressure on f dock. Takes a long time to rinse a 60 foot boat!
Convenient for my house but a long haul to the Sound (locks). All slips are owned but cab be rented from owners

Great people everyone is super here. They go out of their way to be helpful professional and courteous and to top it all off staff in the office are just pretty damn personable. Been there several years and don't care to leave. Love this place and all the people too!
Nice condo marina in Seattles South end. Has rentable dry storage for smaller boats on trailers and is close to a boat ramp at the park. Office hours vary friending on what the manager is doing and the season.
I have been on Lake Union for 12 years and had the opportunity to work with several Marina owners and Managers on the lake and up the ship canal. My experiences have varied widely with all the marina managers and by far Trevor Billingsley is the most professional manager on the lake. He manages several marinas, most of which I have been able to successfully refer clients and Trevor handles each with respect and professionalism. Canal Marina is great because it's cheap, and it's close to Fremont. Which means you have walking access to all the restaurants in the area.
Assuming he spoke to a person at Canal Marina, an apology is certainly due to Geoff Carlin who is righfully displeased at receiving a brusque response to his polite request for information. This should not have happened and we will work to ensure that it never happens again. Truly Sorry Geoff.
This is for the Sunnyside Ave Boat ramp right next to The Seattle Marina. Its a small ramp for 2 simultaneous entry or exit or 1 each. Frequented by the duck tours which make it a little congested sometimes. Nothing too fancy.
The WORST customer service I have ever had!!! I call just the other day asking if they knew of any opening in the near future. As expected the answer was no, but when I asked about a waiting list I was told in a fairly rude manner that it was a full 3 pages long and he wasn't looking to add anymore. Basically telling me to get lost. That is not a good way to treat people that are interested in mooring at your marina.

I live in an apartment that has a water view down on the marina. The apartment was in great shape, oddly shaped but the view is worth it along with the low price in rent.
Canal Marina is a great location on Seattle's Ship Canal. Showers, Heads, Washers and Dryers available. Terrific, responsive staff and management. Well maintained Moorage for boats and Houseboats.
Properties are poorly kept. By poorly kept try not at all.
