Scotch pies as good as the best in Scotland.

Haggis, black pudding, awesome breakfasts and a bit of banter to go with it.

First place in a long time both myself & my partners meals were great, hot fresh & tasty, will definitely be back to try the other breaky options, 10/10!

Wanted to leave a review in light of the ladies selling their care. What a beautifully owned cafe boutique clothes store. It was my favourite place to hide away in read a book and devour the great food and coffee. Good luck with all your future plans. 🫶🏼

Really lovely toasted sandwiches served with a large portion of fresh salad on the side. Coffee was creamy and delicious.
Service was good and high chairs available for the toddlers.

I love this cafe so much!! I'm a regular here and am always welcomed with a smile and kindness. The owner is lovely, the staff are great, and it's never a problem to sit and work here for a bit. Brunch favs you have to definitely try are the Dad Bod and the French Toast! Plus I've brought more than a few bits from the shop. Highly recommend.

Food was ok. Prices good. Service friendly. Too little seating. Very busy and loud.
Not bad for something quick to eat and drink. A lot less loud and busy than Dome just across the road.

Waited more than 30 minutes for food - no indication of the wait when we ordered and no apology on delivery. Fruit toast was barely toasted. Bruschetta was amazing. Coffee great.

My only wish in this place is a better coffee. The cake is good

Had the Scottish breakfast and the first look I thought it was pretty small but it made me really full so I'm happy with that. First time trying haggis and it was pretty good the whole meal was yum

I enjoyed my big vege breakfast. My sweet potato rosty was great but the black pudding tasted like it was half cut with sausage meat. I certainly know what black pudding tastes like my butcher is an Irish butcher! I got the brisket burger as well to go and I certainly was not impressed at all. Very tucked away business you would never know it's there. Great restaurant area and very chill vibes.

Brekky at Health Freak! Daughter had pash n shoot blended fruit juice which she said very strongly tasted of passionfruit and that's all. Son had strawberry milkshake which he liked and I had iced coffee with canned whipped cream which was nice. They both had potato hash stack with bacon,avo with hollandaise sauce and poached egg which they both said was cooked well and they both enjoyed. I had smashed avo with beetroot hummus dip,bacon ($6 extra), fetta on toast. Was nice except not enough fetta and beetroot dip was very bland. Service was quick, atmosphere was nice with decent size tables but being plus size the chairs were not that accommodating. I fit but not overly comfortable. Overall though would go back again to try some of the other food.

I love Trotters. The previous owner was fantastic and the new crew are just as delightful. I love popping in for a cheaky breakfast when I find myself at Bunnings early in the morning or brunch if I'm there a bit later.

Dined in today with partner and ordered two kiwi fry ups for $25 per serve.

Being kiwi I can tell you that this is definitely not served like this at any N.Z Cafe!
The food was poorly presented with baked beans poured all over the top of the overcooked eggs and pale pink bacon.

I felt like I had been served a meal for a baby ( all mixed up)

Definitely way better out there for the price and with clean tables !!

We've been here a few times now and it's our preferred place to eat at Lakeside Joondalup. The food is consistently good with a variety of dishes to choose from. Coffees are always delicious and come in generous sizes. The service is excellent. They were out of tobasco sauce (a bummer but not the end of the world) and the manager actually found a bottle and brought it out to us. Not many places have that level of service so it was a nice surprise! Def recommend.

Absolutely love this cafe. Owner operated. Staff are fantastic. On Sunday we had the most pleasant service from a young lady.
Best banana bread. Never disappoints.

Staff were very friendly and nice today when I went there. Had the salmon Benny and ham cheese toasty. The Benny was done very well and the hollandaise sauce was among the best I've had I would recommend asking for it to be less spicy if you don't particularly like spicy. The berry smoothy was beautifully frothy and the coffee was smooth. Would recommend

Such a lovely and welcoming cafe. A positive atmosphere with friendly staff. A large menu with lots of things to choose from, although the Banana Bread is definitely my favourite.

Beautiful food, nice location, friendly service. I had the pulled pork benedict which was so tasty and delightful. My partner got the buttermilk pancakes and in his words ‘they are better than Domes pancakes’. Do yourself a favour and pop into this lovely establishment with such fabulous staff and food

Very nice venue, but it took 30 min to get scrambled egg on toast and poached eggs that they weren’t poached.

This is my second time being here of many to come, I’ve tried both the omelette and pancakes now and it is incredible. The art they put on the coffees is so cute and makes the experience 10x more enjoyable. I love this place and the inviting atmosphere. Also incredibly cheap, was less than $40 for 2 serves of pancakes and a drink each. Will be back soon!

The coffee is really good, and the food is always delicious and warm. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's usually a very busy place, so sometimes it takes a while for food and drinks to come out. If you don't have a time limit, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Banana protein pancakes 😍🤤 pretty cool the menu shows calories and online menu will show protein, carbs etc.

My family and I went to this place for lunch on a weekend. I got the Thai Chilli Scrambled Eggs. It was served on toast. Toasted quite good. Bread might not have been the freshest. About 21 dollars from memory.

Coffee was not so great. I think about 5 for a medium. A bit watery. More milk and stronger coffe would have done the job.

Place was clean and spacious and the service was good though

We got two breakfast burgers and they were so yummy and filling!
For coffee we got cute late art little bears! The coffee was perfect 🥰

The staff were all so friendly and the service was very quick.

I loved the cute but not overwhelming atmosphere. The clocks were so cute. I got to read a cute book on coffee art too.

Visiting Perth first time. Dropped in here and had chilli con carne which was sensational. The coffee was excellent. Nice clean and warm cafe. Highly highly recommend.

This was my first time at the cafe, and I had a great experience. Excellent customer service and delicious food. I ordered the bruschetta with a side of chips and the scones & coffee combo.
Scones were soft and delicious with plenty of jam and cream. The bruschetta was flavoursome, and chips were crispy and fresh. I loved the decor and ambience of the cafe. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the shopping centre.

Really lovely staff and nice, simple meals and coffee. Ordered the smashed avocado on toast and a kids burger and chips. The burger was juicy and the chips were super crunchy and yum. Thank you!

Absolutely disgusting!

***UPDATE: I have corresponded with the owners of Trotters Cafe and they have given me a full refund for my meal and genuinely apologised. They held a staff meeting on 02/12/22 where they addressed all the issues and guaranteed that their staff are aware of the duties and the importance of a clean and tidy environment whilst dinning.

Would not recommend at all; if I could give a 0 star rating, I would. Very disappointed as I have been there before and it was great, and this time was horrendous; will most definitely not be returning.

Spent $60 and it was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time - came home and let’s just say me and the toilet are very well equated now. The pulled pork loaded fries: greasy, stringy cheese, no flavour in the pork and the small bit of gravy they attempted to add to help with the flavour just made the chips soggy - not at all appealing to the eye either.

The nachos - their “very OWN” chilli con carne, again, disgusting. It was black, the mince was burnt, the kidney beans were hard and the flavour… vile. The nacho chips were rock hard and somehow oily at the same time.

Now, for the worst part; as I went to grab the salt there were bugs on the cutlery!! (I took photos) and the other cutlery wasn’t cleaned properly, had hard bits of food still on them…. Disgusting!!

When we walked in, the tables around us (4 of them, and we sat at the one “clean” one) still had plates of food and dirty cups on them when we arrived, and they remained there until we left. No one came to clean up the tables, or get the dishes, it just looked like a messy kitchen in there…

No staff came around to clean tables, say a friendly hello or ask how the food was, the whole time we were there, and we were there for a good hour, I saw one staff member and that was the lady that took our order and delivered our food to our table.

For a place that says “I truly believe in only serving quality, fresh and honest food and that's what you'll get at Trotters Cafe” on their website, they should be ashamed. Absolutely disgusting, vile and a waste of $60. Stay away, or risk becoming good friends with your toilet bowl 🤢

Staff is friendly, place is lovely, food is great! Plus the clothes there are so good! I haven’t got a chance to buy one yet but will certainly be back again!

There was a wait time for 20 minutes, and it looked like a very busy cafe(that's usually a good sign). We were fortunate to get a table for 3. My food was Pulled Pork with 2 poached eggs and a large Cappuccino. It looked very appealing when it arrived and it was truly savouring and delicious to eat.The eggs were just how I like them. It really was worth the wait. I saw they do Uber eats too!

A pleasant cafe offering typical breakfast and lunch cafe food, but the additional daily specials and fusion food make it more exciting. Combined you can get everything from your bacon and eggs, cakes and coffee, and some balanced flavour well-presented Asian treats.

Service is friendly and the whole experience is casual and comfortable for a meal or relaxed coffee. Dining is indoors on tables or a long communal bar table, parking is available at nearby public street and carpark parking.

So glad the so have vegan Vietnamese food so close to home. The food is great.. Will definately go back. But this time will go earlier to beat the crowds.

Second visit to Shingle Inn this time for breakfast.i had the avo smash with poached egg and bacon and a decaf coffee. Daughter had the goodness bowl with sour dough and a banana smoothie. Everything was tasty although not very hot just barely warm. Service was great servers are very personable and efficient.

Hidden gem! Amazing food and service. Had the homemade burger it was delicious. Fantastic prices. Vietnamese coffee on point!!! My daughter had the Vietnamese baguette and loved it. Will definitely be back.

Had a amazing breakfast at Health Freak Joondalup. Good quality food and very tasty. Portion is generous and healthy. Can highly recommend.

Staff was extremely friendly and service was exceptional. From when we sat down we where treated like royalty. Food came out quickly and the presentation was fantastic.

Lovely Vietnamese cafe in Joondalup. Nice and strong Vietnamese iced coffee and the BMT was superb. Good selection of salads and rice paper rolls to take away too. Close the Hospital so worth a walk down the road if you happen to be there

Decided to come here with my parents they had been once before and said that it does nice lunches. I totally agree the lunches that we had as per the photos I've put here were very tasty and fresh, although not a large range of things available as in hot dishes, it was more breakfast items. burgers amd wraps.
The coffees were also very good and I would rate them definitely in the top 10 that I've been to for the best coffee taste , size and smoothness. At the time we were there only seemed to be one person on staff when we were there so we did have to wait a little while at the counter where you order as the Barista was making the coffees but he was also taking people's orders for food.
One thing I must say though is $6.50 for a lactose free long mac is extremely expensive & I've never paid that much for a coffee anywhere in Australia. Singapore yes but Australia no, regardless for the fact it has lactose free milk.

If your looking for a Great British Breakfast Fix, then GB Cafe in Joondalup has some of the Best..... Black Pudding, White Pudding, Scottish Square, Irish Pork Sausages and everything that goes with.

Recently revisted and the owner Doug still working hard in the kitchen and family friends helping to serve.

A finer family small business would be hard to find across the many that make Joondalup the WA pride of the North.

10/09/2022 Had a full Scottish Breakfast this morning and once again, did not disappoint.

Bacon, Black pudding, Scottish Square, White pudding, Tattie scones, Mushrooms, Tomato, Baked beans, Two fried eggs and a slice of buttured toast..... Yum Yum 😋

My favourite local coffee spot.

Beautifully crafted coffee, wholesome food and, if it's your thing, there's a wonderful selection of clothes and nick-nacks to check out while you're there.

Staff are super friendly - there's a real "family" feel here.

Food is on point and really well presented. Appropriately priced too.

Tip: if heading down to Gipsy Boy for breakfast on the weekend, I'd recommend just calling to book a table so that you don't miss out.

Service is great and the atmosphere is good, however the coffee is below average. My coffee was barely warm. The food is also of average quality in comparison to other cafes. It’s a pity because I really wanted to say good things about this place. The staff are friendly and provide a good service. Had a discount on the Entertainment Book hence I came. With improvements on fresher, better quality ingredients in the food, and better made coffees I might come back one day to try again.

Lovely café place bonus was the lovely people running this establishment warm and friendly. The nicest Scottish shortbread I have had since Glasgow 😍 bigger bonus is the sell a range of meat's black pudding and haggis definitely returning to get some. Coffee was lovely ☕.
