I've been to La Cocina 3 times now, and it is about as good as Mexican food gets in this particular area. They have an extensive menu, so there's no reason not to find something you like. Tonight, I tried their super combo platter with everything on it, just to be able to try a variety of their offerings. I asked for light cheese, and if that's light cheese, they must really pile it on! This platter had a taco,
tostada,
chili relleno, tamal, and a chalupa, and it
was all
served with beans
and rice. All this
for only $15.50! The taco was crisp and tasty, as was
the tostada. The chili
relleno had much
to much cheese
for my
taste, but once I removed some
of it, the
relleno
itself
was quite good. Now,
that is only
my personal
preference. Most
people would
love the
cheese (not my
favorite
food). The tamal was a
bit dry, but
still tasty. Sorry -
I never made
it to the
Chalupa. So much
food! The
beans and
rice were very
acceptable. With my
beverage,
(I left the
restaurant with
enough food
for lunch tomorrow )
it only took a 2O dollar bill. There was
a variety
of flavors in the meal,
and I left feeling like
I got a lot
of bang from my buck.

Service was Spotty, but the
waitress had
a big table as well as
several other
tables to
serve. The music
was also
quite loud, and
wrestling was
on the TV. I recommend
this restaurant
for a family meal, but definitely isn't a date
place
unless you
like a lot
of noise.
The chicken tortilla soup was just whatbI needed and the Chori Polo chicken is always good. it was perfect for my lunch! #8robinsonsdtv #mariodeblakrobinson
The chicken tortilla soup was great!
but the bartender/owner charged me 15$ for an Organic Margarita when there is nothing organic in the whole building! I ordered the Texas Margarita, not the Organic. She said because she had to make it special w Minute Maid lemonade instead of sour mix that is organic! They obviously don't know what organic means. She was very rude and got other customers involved in the dispute. This restaurant came to do business in our backyard, we welcomed them. Now they are trying to cheat people at every angle. Unfortunately I had been warned not to go there bc it was pricey.

The first time I ate here a couple years back I had a girlfriend, she wanted to get the loaded nachos 🤤 with steak, chicken, and shrimp. They were pretty good back then. But now??? I'm home for the weekend for work, placed a takeout order and got the same exact thing. These nachos are hitting on ALL CYLINDERS NOW 😭😭 THESE COOKS ARE FUEGOOOOOO 🔥🔥🔥❤️. THANK YOU
Kennedy rocks!! Great live music and great food! We will be back often. Love this cool neighborhoods gem
They’ve really dropped off. Haven’t been here since pre-covid. Went today and portions were served as if their paychecks depended on it. Food also did not taste good at all. Wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent Mexican restaurant! The parking is a bit tight with a small parking lot shared with a gas station, but it's connected to a Kroger shopping center parking lot, so when it's packed there's extra parking nearby. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon, but we were seated right away. Our appetizer and food arrived quickly, very warm, served on hot plates.

We ended up here by mistake and what a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent. Our service was outstanding. We will definitely be going back because the menu has many offerings.
We made an office online order today. All of the orders were wrong. Half of the ordered ingredients were left out. One person's order didn't have meat. My salad was only lettuce, beans and onions. It was awful! I called the store and they not return my call.
Been eating there since the 90's when there was only one location, but since they sold to another company (that I believe also owns El Fenix). Quality has gone way down. Biggest part was going from hand grated Jack cheese that melts wonderfully to a thin graded processed cheese that doesn't.

I emailed them after I had three bad visits. No response for two months. I'll never go again.
Come here all the time, service has always been good and proportions have always been pretty generous for the most part. The new “owner” has made it hard to enjoy. They’ve cut the portion almost in half, and argue that it’s the correct amount (we’ve been coming here for 10+ years and gotten the same thing every time.)

First I have to say Fernando was amazing his customer service provided a great customer experience Just him alone makes me want to go back and visit. The restaurant is nice it's in a good location The food is good The chips and salsa complimentary is good I like the one that's warm better. They have great vegetarian options they have impossible tacos and a im possible nachos so if we don't eat meat ask for the impossible. They also have small selection of fish and shrimp if you're pescatarian.
Very pleasant experience! I moved to the area about 5 years prior and have driven by many times. I finally stopped by for a very early dinner and it was great. The chips and salsa had just the right amount of very mild heat. The server was great, came right over immediately and kept checking in with me. Even bringing me a refill without even asking! I ordered and she suggested that I might be interested in a similar combo that was slightly cheaper. She was right, the combo was exactly what I was looking for. The beef burrito and the chicken enchilada with rice was ready very quickly! The food and plate were hot and extremely delicious too! I can't believe I waited so long to go here, but I'll be back.
Took my granddaughter for dinner and service and food was excellent. My chicken fajita quasadilla was so full and big I could only eat half and had enough for lunch next day. We love Totopos.

Food wasn't good didn't have any flavor. The salsa has flavor, we used it to eat enough of it. Got the monster bowl it was a lot of food brought my left overs home and ended up throwing it away. Might as well just go to Chipotle. Probably won't try again.
Maria and Taj were amazing!! So patient and thoughtful as I ordered 3 burritos at once. It was probably a pain but they were gracious. I really appreciated their kindness! I’ve never had such pleasant and kind interactions with Freebirds employees. They also let me use my coupon code. Highly recommend this location for good service with a smile.
Visited Texas on business and stoped by this restaurant. The atmosphere was great the customer service was amazing. The food was reasonably priced and looked very good, however it was warm. Y’all ever had a warm potato? 🙃 It wasn’t great. I purchased their burrito bowl and it was delicious except for the cold potatoes. That kinda killed the whole meal.

Solid solid 4 stars across the board in my opinion. I've been when they are busy and when they are slow and so far every experience for me has been a good one. The sweet tea was delicious, I enjoyed the flavor of the salsa and chips there. Probably nothing special but if I'm going just for chips its gonna be magueys. They have a tasty and decently spicy house salsa stuff I recommend. Good luck ordering it bc I don't even know how.😅 I can't say whats better the food or service but I enjoy it every time.

This location is a must visit! The whole staff was so friendly & accommodating. The food arrived quickly & was perfect as we ordered it. Our team lunch was a huge success & we will definitely be back! A big thank you to the Manager Patrick for treating us so well! 💜👍🏽👍🏽
My go to Taco spot. Carnitas are the best I have ever tasted in two countries. Cash only.
We will give it 5....the chips are great, light & crispy, saltiness was nice & low.. The salsa was great with the chips, and the food. Our food was all good and portions good. No complaints
Our server was Kenedy, attentive & friendly and had a good chat with too. The manager (owner? Sunday evening 7/7) was very nice too!! thank you!
ETA, went back recently and was STILL GOOD!!!

I visited wild salsa today after a work function. I’m visiting from Los Angeles so I have a high standard as it relates to food and aesthetic..

I was greeted by a wonderful hostess, who walked us through a beautiful restaurant. The attention to detail with the murals, Art, commitment to Frida Kahlo and wallpaper was spectacular. The restaurant has so many fun quirky things throughout.
Our waiter was so kind and sweet. He introduced himself, Cory Levoy, And instantly we found a common connection. He walked us through the menu like an expert. He told us about the happy hour specials. His confidence in the menu and the product was impressive. You can tell that he really cares about his job and it’s just a kind individual who really wanted us to have an exceptional experience. I’m grateful Corey was our waiter.

The food came out and was spectacular. My favorite was the ceviche and street corn. The table side chips and salsa were well taken care of.

After our meal was complete Corey did a really good job on selling us. The idea of the churros with homemade caramel sauce.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant, not only for its wonderful whimsical decor, Delicious food But it’s exceptional service from Corey. I hope to be back soon.
The only reason I didn’t give a 5 on the food was that I wanted more and the plate that I got had more of an Indian taste to it. It was really good none the less! Alex was a gracious server and made my experience wonderful.
This was my first time here from Houston and I gotta say from the moment we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed in by Juan; additionally he was our waiter for the night and treated us with excellent service. I ordered the shrimp Tacos and they were delicious. I also ordered a mango margarita which was really well done! Great restaurant!

Always a fun atmosphere and great food! Love the outdoor area for dining which they use every day of the year thanks to heaters and roll down plastic. In summer, it's wide open. Bar area too. Always lively music playing and on some nights they have Bingo, Karaoke, etc.

I grade damn hard. For anywhere to fall in the 3 places I rate a 4 or 5 out of 20 places takes a lot.

THIS IS DAMN GOOD FOOD. To all those saying it is not Mexican. I say which part. My only comment is it could be slightly less lemon forward.

The good parking in a safer section of the city and the no hassle area made our decision for day number two. Just as good as day one. Great flavor profile. YELLOW CHEESE for one. FLOUR TORTILLA.

Stopped here for dinner while visiting Dallas. The service was friendly. The restaurant wasn't very crowded. I had the fish tacos, and my husband had the shrimp tacos. The food was okay. The rice was lukewarm and I guess I expected more from the tacos as far as authenticity.

What a special place my friend brought me too. I had the steak street taco and was pleasantly surprised. The cilantro on the steak seemed fresh and still juicy. I barely had enough room for desert. If you order the chocolate churros, make sure you have some room.

Mike was a phenomenal waiter! He was nice and attentive.

This place was so delicious. The chips and queso here are probably the best chips and queso I've ever tried. I got the shrimp tacos, which came with rice and beans, and those too were all yummy. To finish it all, we tried their flan. I've never had Flan before, but it was superb.

It's sort of a fancy restaurant/ bar, but you don't have to worry about dressing up. We went here on a weekend in the afternoon and didn't have to wait. The prices are a bit high, around $20ish for a plate. They even have some items that go for around $50+ like the fajitas.
Parking is a bit difficult because this restaurant is located in downtown but it's definitely worth it.

Very good food. The service was nice the atmosphere was authentic. All around great experience!
Maria was so nice and she walked me through the burrito process like a caring guide. I think everyone should come try the brisket with the creamy jalapeño sauce. You can’t beat that with some corn on a cayenne tortilla. They’re nice and talented here. Great eatin’!
I have been a long time customer of Totopos and give them an excellent review. Coming from California its hard to find real good Mexican food. So when I found them several ago I made them my home away from home. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. The best part of this restaurant is our favorite waitress Marcella/Lina. My family just loves her beautiful smile and the way she treats us every time we come in. When your in the mood for excellent Mexican food and you are in the Dallas area give Totopos a try. Make sure to ask for Marcella and tell her Kenny sent you. You will thank me later.

Stay well and have a wonder day.

I absolutely love this restaurant! If I could rate it more stars I would !! Every time I have been here the service was excellent. Management is very interactive with guests and extremely helpful. The staff is always friendly. The bartenders are outgoing and personable. The overall maintenance of the restaurant is also extremely clean and well kept.

Had the absolute best meal here! Great atmosphere, excellent service and awesome food!! The Grouper Ranchero was off the charts, could possibly be the best meal I've ever had. Clarissa and Hugo were the BEST!!! The margaritas are also top notch. Go here immediately if you're in the area.

I was impressed with its overall vibe and atmosphere. The location is excellent, and the restaurant itself has a very inviting ambience. They even offer vegetarian and vegan options, which is always a plus.

I started my meal with their strawberry skinny margarita, and it was fantastic! A big thumbs up for the drink selection.

However, there was a bit of a misstep with my main course. I ordered a dish with vegan chorizo, but specifically requested a substitute for the impossible beef. Unfortunately, the dish came out with chorizo only, and the server mistakenly informed me that impossible beef and vegan chorizo are the same. This wasn't the case, so I had to send it back.

Thankfully, the restaurant was accommodating, and I ended up with a mahi-mahi dish that was decent. While it wasn't the highlight of the meal, it did the trick.

Overall, I give this restaurant a good rating, but would love to see them correct their vegan options as I was super super excited to try some Mexican. Vegan options.

I had the Caldo de Pollo to go. The soup didn't have any flavor, only had 1/4 of a potato, 2 pieces of carrots, couple of cabbage leaves, 1 chicken leg and thigh. However, it didn't come with rice. It did have about 6 tortillas (the small ones that they use for tacos). Other restaurants that serve Caldo de Pollo serve it with rice. Maybe if they served it with rice, I wouldn't have to make a sandwich to satisfy my hunger.
Really good food and competitive prices. Portions not enough to take home extra, but definitely decent for the price. Festive environment, and open late. Kind servers!
Wow wow! We dined here on Cinco De Mayo and had a lovely time. The drinks were amazing and the queso appetizer was also very good. I had the fried red snapper. The coconut rice that came with it was really yummy and compliments the fish well. Keep in mind this fish does come with bones so be sure not to swallow one.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the tres leche cake!! So so good and has a nice strawberry filling.

Let’s start with.

appearance - this location is cute. It’s fun and different.

atmosphere -that atmosphere is alive, especially with a good crowd and company on this Sunday afternoon.

Service -is a completely different story
I have to say I’m very disappointed what should have been a great birthday celebration for my 16-year-old niece turned into a nightmare to where she felt uncomfortable with the server we had as he would slam and throw items and When you have to repeat yourself and other guest requesting the same items, to get certain items and NOT receiving it Even doing multiple attempts. Very frustrating when you request simple items such as a side order of sour cream, utensils to eat your food, or just even getting a glass of water, waiting more than 15 minutes to get liquids refilled, or the items you need on top of that. Out of retaliation, we received our cold food and the kicker is when you bite into the food and it is cold meaning they did not cook the food to the proper temperature coming out of the freezer. I understand restaurants try to cut corners in certain areas to provide service but when you receive the food cold is a completely disappointing experience.
I feel I would get better service and fresh food going to fast food restaurants and ordering through the drive-through.

Please - thumbs up 👍🏼 if you find this information useful.  Thank you 🙏🏼

Came here with friends (8 of us) for Cinco de mayo holiday. Requested the wild salsa which is habanero and their spiciest one. You have to request it. It starts sweet and then gives the head heat. We ordered the chk soup which was like a green posole and it was loaded with chk and great flavor. Next we had the grilled Mahi mahi which was served with cilantro rice and a coconut like curry. It was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was that the portion of fish was a bit too small. Finished the meal with the churros. They were nice and warm and crispy and was the best way to end the meal. We shared them and everyone loved them. Highly recommend this place as everything seemed authentic tasting, fresh, and really had some bold flavors! Great cocktails as well like the mango Margherita and coconut sicario. Can't wait to go back.

Came for happy hour for casa Rita 6.50 + beef fajita nacho. It was really good! The beef is very tender and the cocktail has a nice kick. Perfect for those who prefer less sugar and prefer the kick of the alch! Would come back again. In other words, it’s gas pull up.

I am beyond thrilled Wild Salsa has reopened! I wasn’t aware they had reopened so I was pleasantly surprised when searching for dinner spots earlier. Perfect hangout for dinner and a drink before a show at The Majestic! Food was just as amazing as always, margaritas on point, and our server, Destiny was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back here!
Excellent meal. I got the steak and it was perfectly cooked and tender. The refried beans were good and the rice was good. But the mojito I got was incredibly good. That was probably the best mojito I have had outside of Miami, FL.

We stopped for a quick snack after visiting the Perot museum, which is less than a block away. We were pleasantly rewarded. Classic Tex mex that had understated quality. It starts with the light crisp tortilla chips that is a standout star by itself. The quesadillas and enchiladas had a well seasoned taste and mouth feel that reflects the emphasis of using higher quality cheeses & meats. I’m looking forward to try more of the large menu varieties in the future.

Food was ok. Had the Fenix burger. Well served, hot fresh. I believe they used a traditional frozen patty but it was a good size and tasted ok. Stayed away from the Mexican food. Those of you who know me, know the expectation past the checkpoint isn't very high so I usually stay away from Mexican food. Service was excellent, ambiance was nice.
I just got into Dallas via Amtrak and was looking for a great Mexican place nearby and this was the highest rated. I can see why! Juan was amazing from the start to the finish! The service was impeccable, especially considering we were a table of 6 fitting into a table of 4 with two dogs and three kids. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better! Thank you, Juan, for a wonderful welcome to Dallas!
My wife and I love to visit new places to eat so this was our first visit and impression. We loved the area but that’s where it goes down hill. Service was horrible. We had multiple people at the table asking us for our orders but was either delivered wrong or late. My wife asked for water with lime. She got water and lemon. We asked for lime again and finally got it. I got the steak and lobster and my wife ordered the chicken and shrimp. I ordered my steak medium rare but received medium. The lobster was also overcooked. Everything was too salty. We couldn’t get refills, everyone seemed busy with everyone else. We saw multiple couples leaving before us that had arrived after us that had paid their bill. We waited an extra 20 minutes just to pay and get out of there. The place has potential but until something major changes with this restaurant we will not be back.
Excellent service and food. We were running late to an event and needed to be in and out in somewhere around a half hour. When we ordered, we let them know, and our food was out in just a few minutes with the check already ready for us. The food was wonderful and we made it to our event perfectly on time. Would highly recommend!

We came on a Tuesday, and I would highly recommend. Great deals on the margaritas, service by Ashley was great and drinks were always full, strong and tasty. We started with the shrimp ceviche which was was delicious. Would come back just for that. Then we had the shrimp tacos, pastor and fish tacos as well. Shrimp and pastor for the win there. Would make a point to stop by again.

I was blown away by this location and I can't believe I've never heard of it before. This was by far some of the best latin cuisine I have had in Dallas, and my entire party with me agreed wholeheartedly. My only complain was that they were out of the mole poblano I was hoping for, but it just means there's one more reason to come back because the mole sauce was NEXT LEVEL.

I highly recommend saving some room for dessert, as I think that was incredibly high quality and delicious as well. This place was really affordable for the quality and amount of food, and I can't believe this place isn't busier. Consider it a Dallas hidden gem and try it out ASAP
This place was a pretty decent place to go with the family an eat.

I only like my avocados in sushi but my wife decided to get the table made guacamole dip. She said it wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as other places.

There were 4 different main meals we did get to try.

First we got was a nacho supreme with shredded chicken, it was great and the size well very good for the price.

Second we chose to get the chili rellenos filled with brisket and cheese. Again very good and cooked great and good portion for the price.

Third we got the enchiladas la cocina and to be honest it tastes really good but 3 little corn enchiladas with light sauce and a small bowl of rice wasn't worth the price of $17.50. We thought it tasted good but both though for the size and quality not worth the price.

Forth we got the Carne asada and don't get me wrong it was good and was cooked very well. It was about me be cut by a butter knife so very tender. But the little piece of meat and more sautéed veggies then meat like a 10 to 1 ratio to was not worth the price to get.

If you go the best thing to get for the price is the nachos it was great size and very filling. I saw the fajitas from other people and the potions were higher ratios on veg to meat.

I'm a little spoiled when it comes to fajitas from a different restaurant I like going to. This places nachos are just the Same and worth it so if you go get them you'll be pleased.

All in all a good place with a decent atmosphere and good service, they kept up with drinks and made sure we had hot chip/salsa, an made sure we were happy with the service while being pretty busy for a middle of the week dinner time frame.

Would recommend to go

"Mi Cocina" is always a good place to go. Their guacamole is pretty good. This location, however, suffers from their high number of visitors. It's not only "Mi Cocina" but all eating places in Highland Park Village are in the same boat. Too many people, too long wait or lines. Not worth the hassle in that "High Luxury" mall when you can go to any other place.

I ordered the Luann's meal and Mambo Taxi! So delicious on both. The Luann's came with a lot of food and was left full and very satisfied. I love the atmosphere. If you don't like a lot of background noise / loud people talking over you I suggest just go at an earlier time in the afternoon. Place gets pretty busy, but our experience we only had to wait a minute while they cleaned us off a table. Excellent service, waters were always filled and beer was always full.
This is the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in a long time. I had the Tacos al Pastor (Steak, pineapple, cilantro, and onion) and my husband had a Super Burrito. We had cheese dip. Chips were light and very fresh. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We will be back. Eric & Cindy Baxter

Everything we ate here was exceptional. Especially in Texas where most restaurants taste the same. The colors of the food were rich and beautiful and the drinks were like nothing I've ever had before. Is this my new favorite spot?
The only reason this place gets five (5) stars ⭐ is because they don't have a hundred (100) option, This guy Jackson is by far one of the best customer service oriented, joyful, all around happy people that I met in a long time, and this Everytime I go in there, which is often because their food is GREAT, if You want a GREAT meal and a ray of sunshine 🌞in your life, make your way to Addison Texas 😁💞🫂

While famous and a regular taste of Dallas, it is pretty mediocre overall. The service was below exciting. Overall, it is a prime location and worth visiting for the tourist feel, but it wasn’t all that great.

The parking lot is kinda small since they share it with the gas station, the food is excellent and worth the time it take to find a place.

The molcajete was well made and the flavors were on point. The portions size was for 2 and they didn't skimp on the portions either. It leaned more on the chicken and pork with a little steak and shrimp an a bit of chorizo mixed in with onions. So in it was worth getting

We got a kids enchiladas with excellent and beans for th kids and they really enjoyed it.

We also got a Supreme nachos with chicken and it was ok? We weren't impressed with it that much, the food tasted good but it was as food as we wanted.

All in all it was a good visit. We good good food and great service, my server gave me an my family aleast 6 refills each while still dealing with other people. It was. Friday and they were have a karaoke so it was busy and loud. If you have kids then you might want to be away from the speakers just for their ears but in all they were entertained an happy about the singing.

A Fiesta for the Taste Buds at Cantina Laredo, Dallas

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cantina Laredo in Dallas, Texas, and it was undoubtedly an exceptional experience. The restaurant not only boasts the best Mexican food in the area but also delivers a dining atmosphere that is truly unforgettable.

From the moment I stepped in, the vibrant decor and lively ambiance set the stage for a Mexican culinary adventure. The menu at Cantina Laredo features a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. From the sizzling fajitas to the flavorful enchiladas, every bite was a celebration of Mexican cuisine.

What truly elevated the dining experience was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Jay. His enthusiasm and passion for the menu were evident as he guided us through the options, offering insightful recommendations. Jay's charismatic personality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal, making the overall experience not just about the food but also about the joy of dining.

The attention to detail in both the presentation of the dishes and the attentiveness of the staff, particularly Jay, made this visit stand out. Cantina Laredo, coupled with Jay's exceptional service, created a memorable dining experience that I will cherish. If you're in Dallas and craving the best Mexican food with a side of fun, Cantina Laredo is the place to be.
From Houston!
I didn't take pics of all the dishes, but the food and the drinks were great! I asked the bartender for something with a little more kick, and he obliged. See images. Both are not on the menu. The green drink is jalapeno, and the orange is Habanero (just how I like my drinks!) BTW, we returned to this place three times while in Dallas. Winner!!

Amazing food and atmosphere. The tacos were out of this world. Looking for a fantastic drink- try the Mamba. Apparently, that is their signature drink. You won't be disappointed.

Our server Jay was amazing. He was patient and explained my options being a vegan. He even suggested things from the menu that were amazing. Food, service, and drink was top notch. On another note I saw exceptional team work throughout the restaurant from the manager to servers to the chef. Will definitely be back.

I ordered 3 street tacos and a bean and cheese burrito, it took a minute to explain what a bean and cheese burrito was and the cashier was even confused when I said it in Spanish.

The bean and cheese turned out okay but the 3 street tacos where terrible. The meat was flavorless and like chewing wood chips.

Overall the place gets one star cause for the price I paid for my items the quality was severely lacking.

Oh and CASH ONLY?!?? REALLY???

A decent authentic Mexican place. Be aware that it is cash only. I have had better tacos, both in Mexico and in DFW, but it isn't bad. My Spanish is very rusty, which made it very hard to order. So be aware of that if coming here. It is a good price for what you get though.

Decided to try a different Spanish spot for a late lunch. There was no one in the restaurant and I was skeptical at first. Our waitress Diana was really nice and bought out the chips and salsa. I did not even have to ask for the taste plates because they were already on the table. I’ve never had dark colored salsa before but it was so good. The fajitas came out sizzling and you could see the smoke. The pork bowl was hot and fresh with so many different flavors. To top it off the dessert was superb that apple pie came sizzling. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Food was hot and satisfying. Service was good. Environment was a little loud for my liking (but we did sit in the covered outdoor section). But all staff that I encountered wore masks and sanitized properly. My only fumble with this visit was the $6 Peach Daiquiri I ordered came on the bill as a $12 Jumbo Margarita, it was a good drink but definitely not worth $12!

I've been here three times and had three amazing dishes. The cuisine here is what I would call "real Mexican"– it's not Tex-Mex, nor is it some chef's hip modern take on Mexican that's adapted for American palettes to the point that it loses its Mexican-ness. Instead, it's an honest plate that tastes like something you'd eat if you were in a Mexican home in Hidalgo.

Note for my fellow Americanos: there's a picture menu above the register. Use that if you don't feel comfortable ordering in Spanish or you've been slacking on your Duolingo.

ONLY CASH. Translation: This food is fricken legit and amazing. Ordering can be a bit of a challenge sometimes if you aren't fluent in Spanish but if you're kind and try to use some Spanish they'll do the same with English. My girlfriend and I have a gone a few times and my Spanish vocabulary is growing with each visit! I 100% recommend this place to anyone craving Mexican food , this is not Tex-Mex by any means!

Was in the mood for something different and out of the norm saw this place driving by in the neighborhood never noticed it. Checked the reviews and gave it a try. It was the best authentic Mexican that I have ever had. I had the chicken fajita plate with rice and beans my husband had a beef burrito. Both portions were large I could only eat half my plate. Enough jalapeno that it was hot without being overwhelming. I poured the red sauce all over everything. Down side was that they don't speak English and the menu is all in Spanish and you have to navigate by photos and the words you can recognize. I had cash since I read the reviews and was aware although yes somewhat inconvenient. Will be back though soon.
