This is the worst spa I've ever done business with.

I've tried calling to cancel my membership, the front desk people never answer the phone, so i have to leave a voicemail and then they'd call me hours later. When they finally did call back, the front desk lady told me that another Manager named Jennifer would call Me about canceling my membership. She didn't call me and it's been a week already.

They continue to charge my card, I have been very clear about canceling my membership with this terrible business and they won't do it! I am literally at a wits end with these people and will NEVER recommend anyone continue going here!

AVOID THE MEMBERSHIP!!!
Since this is a franchise and they all benefit from the corporate policies AND have lack of accountability b/c it is "a corporate policy" I'm sharing this on the page of where I signed up for this horrible membership. BTW, the perks are absolutely not worth it (except to the business who gets regular payments).

If the owner of this franchise reads this please make sure Melanie, the Customer Service Manager, successfully kicks off the process so I do not need to deal with this H3LL any longer.

NEVER sign up for a MEMBERSHIP, you will regret it. By law, memberships that automatically take money from your account should be "easy" to cancel. But of course that does not benefit H&S who would prefer you get caught in the frustration and give up.

1st) you call to cancel but of course they are busy, you leave a message, then they call you back and tell you they can't cancel it, you MUST wait 2-3 business days....
2nd) Then a Customer Service Manager to calls you because you have to DISCUSEE your cancelation, why??? (and of course all the way through they try to talk you out of it)
3rd) then they tell you they will be taking MORE money out of your credit card because THEY want a 30 day notice - for what?!? most people don't even give their bosses more than 2 weeks notice.

Then you have to use the service at a place you now HATE within 90 days or they keep (steal) your money,

I have been going there for years --- I will NEVER go to another Hand and Stone again (after I use my last FORCED service, what wonderful self-care).

I've been trying to cancel my membership for three months and called numerous times and even stopped by. They keep promising the customer care specialist will emai/call and I haven't heard back since. No response at all, and they continue charging my credit card. Everything is great until you try to cancel your membership, so please be aware before signing up. I have a long history of back pain and tension due to scoliosis - which has been exacerbated the past few months as a mother of a very active toddler boy. I experienced my first ever myofascial release session with William today at Apex Retreat and it was a game changer! He not only spent time with me before the session to discuss my back pain history, he was also able to identify and treat the problematic areas as soon as I hit the table. I’ve already booked my next appointment. William is a true professional and expert at what he does.

They cancelled my massage 30 minutes before my scheduled time. Was not able to find a date to reschedule and the person I spoke with was definitely not accommodating.

Was able to book a last minute massage appointment to help relax and get rid of some neck pain I’ve been have just days before my wedding! Everyone was super nice and Jason was great! Thanks so much for fixing my neck so I can enjoy my wedding without being in pain!!

My first time here and I have no regrets!! Great place very professional and the therapists are awesome. The atmosphere was amazing, I will for sure be back!

Been a member for more than a year. Service is decent. But i have been trying to cancel my membership for few months now and they keep finding excuses to keep debiting my account. Front desk has inexperienced staffs and billing cannot be reached directly. That’a a shady business practice.

Rose is excellent. She has the ability to provide a deep tissue massage that is also extremely healing!!!

Great people, great atmosphere and wonderful massage. I was so nervous and anxious about letting people touch me but Alicia and Anthony put me at ease and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I would highly recommend them and their business to everyone!

I just think they have such an exceptional range of offerings like Thai Massage, Gua Sha, Aromatherapy and they provide knowledge in a way that feels approachable and comforting. There's so many different areas of massage and having an expert really hold your hand so that you feel comfortable practicing your trade or receiving services is really refreshing. Personal attention to detail, compassion, and concern goes A LONG WAY in business.

Anyone looking for a relaxing facial, with instant results, should go see Nevaeh at Hand & Stone Apex! She is the right amount of gentle with the face portion, and then gets a little firmer with the neck and shoulders! Her technique is just right! She also has a wonderful bedside manner! The rest of the crew at Hand & Stone is great as well! All very friendly and personable!

Good environment and friendly staff. They have sauna before the massage. The massage itself was good. They also gave us stretching exercises after our massage which would help our posture. Will visit again.

Alicia and Anthony were AMAZING. My husband and I went in for a couples massage not even knowing what to expect and they knocked it out of the park. Not only did they provide the best experience, but they also gave us tips to improve our health from the things they noticed. We also got 2 goody bags full of epsom salt before we left, and who doesn’t like that? 10/10 would recommend.

Today I experienced my first massage! Didn’t know what to expect because it was a surprise from my girlfriend. Walking in we were greeted by Alicia and Anthony right away. Both are super professional and know what they’re doing! Couples massage came with champagne and chocolates! Cassie and I both enjoyed the experience and will be back for sure!

I came here for the first time Saturday to surprise my girlfriend for birthday. Friendly greeting upon arrival. The sauna room was comfortable and neat. And from my understanding, Anthony is the massage King. My girlfriend was praising his massage technique all day. He also showed us stretching exercises that would help us with our spots of tension. The whole experience was awesome. I am coming to get my session from Anthony soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy.

Jason was very knowledgeable and professional. The massage was amazing! Jason was very open about what I could do differently in my daily routine to get my body back to normal. Jason also informed me on what muscles I need to work on in the gym. He explained how some of my other muscles were overworking themselves to compensate for those weaker muscles. As a massage industry professional, I trust Apex with their quality of training and classes for my staff members. We are able to add new, customized services to our menu in order to enhance our client experience with the help and education provided by Apex Retreat. The instructors are knowledgeable, attentive, detailed, and very thorough in their trainings. Thank you for the amazing classes!

So disappointed in this location. I was gifted a free massage for the Cary location and thoroughly enjoyed it and decided to switch my membership from another establishment. Apex is so close to me I chose to have my membership here. It took me 3 tries to find a good massage therapist because the first 2 were not good at all. Then when I did find one, it was impossible to get appointments every month, and then they eventually left. I tried another therapist and he was worse. Literally yawned very loudly during my appointments. I decided to cancel my membership because it was very expensive and I wasn't enjoying it. Financially my situation had changed and this just needed to be cut. I didn't hear back from the manager in time, so I had to pay for another month. I paid, filled out the paperwork immediately, and then thought I was done. I already wasted money on that last month as I have no intention of using that credit. THEN they charged me for another month!! I'm sure you'll respond to this review and ask me to email the manager whom I have already emailed... My advice if you cancel, change your credit card information before cancelling or cancel that card or they will just feel free to charge you as they feel like. Clearly the manager of this location can't bother to file the proper paperwork on time

Been going to Apex retreat for a couple of years always a nice experience. Now I got to meet a new therapist LinJi she is wonderful with a lot of experience . I had Thai foot massage . And today I had a full body massage. Just wonderful she has Saturday hours too . So professional

Rose is very attentive and flexible to each individual's needs. After years of going to other massage therapists, my shoulder never really got any better. I can say that after going to Rose only a few times, there is definite progress! She also has helpful notes and "homework" after each session. Very pleased to have her in my health arsenal!

I absolutely loved working with Rose. I did a 2 hour massage with her and it was everything I hoped it to be. She worked through my soreness and concrete block of a back, even included cupping since I was open to it. The office and her massage room are so relaxing and beautiful. I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. Rose works with you to identify what you're looking for, establish your expectations, and ensuring you have the best experience. Rose is an amazing therapist! I saw her for some hip and leg pain that I have from snowboarding. Her massage techniques and cupping were exactly what I needed to feel better, have less pain and get back out on the slopes. She was very intuitive in session and sent me home with some ideas on how to help prevent the pain from coming back. Will totally be going back!

Fernanda is extremely thorough and focused on the needs of the client. I've had bodywork done about 50 times with different practitioners over the years, and she is the only one who has me leave with significantly reduced pain levels and increased flexibility every single time. Her holistic approach to treatment is wonderful. The drive is about 40 minutes to get there when there is no traffic, and it's well worth it.

Rose was my masseuse in Denver for several years and she is absolutely the best! She was great at adjusting my massages (and cupping) based on what my body needed at that time, and she'd give me tips on how to stretch and keep things flexible between appointments. Rose also has a warm, calming presence and is just a joy to be around. I recommended her to my family and friends in Denver, and they all loved her as well!

Rose is an outstanding Massage Therapist. I saw Rose for years and was heartbroken when I learned she would be moving away from Colorado! She is easily the best therapist I've ever had! Rose is kind, friendly, and really knows her stuff. Whether I had a trouble spot that needed special attention or just in for my regular monthly visit, Rose always helped me to feel relaxed. I really can't say enough good things about her. Rose is a treasure, and will give you a fantastic massage.

I have had a lot of massages and Lauren BY FAR provides the best massage I have ever had. She is strong yet aware of how deep I want the massage. She is in tune with where I am needing more attention and can explain what she's doing. She's friendly, welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable. I've been having issues with sciatica and she knows just what to do and I feel so much better after leaving. I don't ever want to leave though! lol I highly recommend Lauren and will be singing her praises to everyone I know!

Fenny is one of the hardest working, and extremely professional, individuals I have ever known. Regardless of profession. She is passionate about what she does and really cares if the service works for her client. I have needed massage every 4-6 weeks for the last 20 years or so due to attempting to remain physically active. I have been one of Fenny's clients now for 5 years and I can tell you she is the best!!
