We visited this park 8 years ago, and really loved the markets then so thought we'd go back.
There were a few food stalls, but I think as we were toward the end of the "winter" setup they were starting to close. Nevertheless we managed to have some really good food!
We ate these comfortably inside the hall, watching the last part of the superbowl! It was a really good atmosphere we will always remember.
I can't remember all the food stall names, or items, but be sure to go when they're back!

A beautiful place, during the day you can sit in the sun, take a break from Noisy New-York, drink delicious coffee, have an inexpensive snack, and go ice skating.

Nice small park right next to NYC library. Tons of shops during Christmas time, selling all kinds of stuffs, from decorative items to unique foods. There is a large Christmas tree in the middle and an ice skating rink.
Great location, and free. It gets super crowded though. Not much room to jump. Their zamboni seems to work better than the one they use on Wollman Rink, and you can actually skate comfortably for the first 30 mins before it becomes snow.
My daughter enjoyed herself so I'm happy. 3 stars because of the wait time for skates and they nickel and dime you. I rather pay a flat fee for everything.
Coming here is a family Christmas tradition— like everyone else, we book ahead of time and travel to NYC. This year, when we arrived for our appointment, the rink was covered with rainwater because it had been raining. Unlike at Rockefeller Center, they had not made provisions for bad weather, and it was flooded. The next thing we knew, our appointment was canceled on us. We were there with our 5 children and now no appointment. We walked over to Rockefeller Center just to look at the ice-skating, which was going on in full force. Obviously, they make arrangements for inclement weather. This was very disappointing and a waste of the trip into the city.
So different visiting Bryant Park in the winter, when the village is setup. A must see for the iconic ice skating and many food stands.
We went on a Friday afternoon and it was very busy but we still managed to get a couple of seats. Queues were long for some of the eateries although we found some were much shorter on the other side, where we got our buns.

The staff members that I observed were extremely rude and unfriendly. The ones on the ice were constantly trying to show off their tricks and how fast they could skate, abruptly stopping, spraying ice over other skaters, knocking children over, cutting people off and degrading the overall experience.
The ones off the ice weren’t much better either. One woman would not let a man speak or ask a question and repeatedly yelled at him to go to the other side for baggage claims.
The woman at shoe check was also rude. She kept rolling her eyes at everyone and didn’t even give us a tag to get our belongings back which made the retrieval process a whole ordeal.
When we went to retrieve our bags, we explained that we checked bags and the woman didn’t give us any proof. In response an older lady behind the counter responded that she was only there to help people with actual stuff and to get out of the way for people who actually had things.
As we were passing by one of the doorways, one staff member opened a door which hit another member of my party. Then a man with a very high voice in a tone trying to mock us said “this is an active doorway you were in the way.” Then laughed and pointed with his friend rolling their eyes. No apologies.

I came during Thanksgiving weekend and they also have winter village nearby for all the holidays shopping. The ice skating rink is very picturesque with great skyscraper in the backgrounds. They clean and smooth out the rink surface very often. They also have an igloo tent nearby where they serve hot chocolate inside.
What are some of the things to do in NYC during the holiday season? This may be a tourist trap but Skating Bryant Park is a great way to welcome the winter season and to go shopping in those pop-up holiday themed shops. It is definitely less crowded than the Rink at Rockefeller Center. The bonus is skate for free with your own skates, otherwise rentals will do and bring your own lock for their lockers. A must do or at minimum a must see! ⛸️
The winter village was magical! Loved all the mini shops. There were different types of hot chocolate drinks for sale. The tree was massive standing in front of the skating ring. It was beautiful hearing the laughter and chatter of the people alongside Christmas music playing in the background. Definitely take your crew or your loved ones here. Lots of small vendor shops. Decorated Christmas tree. Ice skating rink. Food vendors. There is a lot going on in a small space. Very crowded. Has public restrooms but with long lines.
Easy booking online. Conveniently located in the middles of the vibrant holiday market. Nothing to be done but it got a bit crowded for the skating and it was a bit less enjoyable. Seems like they could try and throttle the number of tickets they sell so that skating was better.
Overall though, definitely enjoyable and worth a try to skate here!

This is definitely one of the best times to visit NYC, from Thanksgiving to New Year's. And Bryant Park Winter Village is one of the best places to sight see, shop, and do a bit of ice skating. The shops are aplenty with various options of gifts and lots of food stalls to keep you happy. It is a beautiful sight with the Empire State Building in the back drop. Overall, a very nice experience. If it could get better is if there were a sprinkle of snow here and there.
This place is awesome. Pier 62 has indoor basketball courts, soccer fields, gymnastics rooms, etc.
Okay now that that's out of the way, the real reason I am writing this review is I just finished a pickleball league here, and need to write a message to the Fermented Cucumber faithful. I wont be speaking to the media or doing an exit interview, so this will be my final message for the Cuc fans until next season:
First off, I would like to address the rumors head on. Yes, I had about 6-8 Tequila sodas on the yacht before the game on Thursday. After knocking off the #1 seed "It's Kosher" the week prior, I will be the first to admit I took "Dil with the Dinks" lightly, and it showed.
The bigger picture is that I let the newfound fame, money, and success get to me. When you are from where I am from and receive a Brinks truck of money over night, it's hard to not get lost in it. Icarus, who ignored his father's warnings about his wings melting when flying too close to the sun, comes to mind.
The former undisputed middleweight champion of the world Marvin Hagler but it ever-so eloquently when he said "It's difficult to get up and do roadwork at five in the morning when you're sleeping in silk sheets." I lost sight of what got me here, but I promise you, Cuc faithful, I am getting it back. There is a fire in my belly now bigger than I ever could have imagined. I am going to soak in defeat, and really feel this feeling to fan the flame for next season.
Next season for us starts right now. We have a million and one excuses that we could go to. The fact of the matter is we aren't going to make one. The Dinks played better than we did in this series and we still had an opportunity to win it, but it didn't go for us. This offseason, I'm going to push myself to exhaustion to get back here.
I will not sleep until The Alphabet City Fermented Cucumbers are the ZogSports New York City Indoor Pickle Ball Chelsea Piers Thursday night Champions of the World.

It was of course iconic. A must try when in the city during the holiday season. It does feel slightly like cattle as there are so many people. But hey, that's New York City. I suggest a night skate, as the lights and the crowd and sights and smells... It just screams movie scene New York City.
I love taking in the view of the Hudson while playing golf. I don't know of any other place where you can enjoy such a great view while you play golf.
Another place in New York that has been shown in a lot of movies and it did not disappoint. The Ice was ok and the skates at the rental place were not good but who is gonna travel with their ice skates so anything is better than nothing to experience this place. The sights and feel of it is what made it very special.
Excellent! An experience we'll never forget, and one very different from the times we went on other Harbor cruises.

Such a great place to visit. It’s a bit congested but definitely worth seeing in person just how beautiful Rockefeller Center in New York City is.

We had such a fabulous day there that it's hard to review the facility itself, but everything was fine and we had no real complaints.
For the fifth star, it'd need seating in the West Rink beyond just the couple little benches at the ends, and space for hockey players to air out their gear between games at a tournament. But what was there sufficed, with a bit of creative effort.

Fun place for kids and adults who play sports. Pier 61 has a couple of ice skating rinks.

Great outing for the family if you're in New York. Monday night the have a special.
It's an ok rink. The price is $20 for public skating which is quite expensive for 80 mins of skate time. You do get a nice view of the river but can be a bit hard to see from the rink as the rink is elevated. Rinks feel a little smaller than most which results in center ice being reserved for private skate lessons. It's the main all year round rink in nyc
Fun experience with friends. The line and the reservation are well organized. If you go on Monday there is a special price for the entry. 1 hour of skating is more than enough. Staff is friendly and the location is great. During christmas time might be more expensive and crowded. I will recommend to do in another period.
Best rink in NYC. I skate here in the winter with the academy. The rink is always really clean, the view is amazing. The photos attached are pictures I took for my school newspaper.

It simply doesn’t attract that many tourists like the Rockefeller or Wollman Rink. So if you don’t care about pictures and just want to go ice skate in peace to wind down after work, go here. Still, my picture turned out nice. Possibly because my friend is a photographer. Lol

After making a reservation for our kid’s birthday party with dozens of guests, the rink was entirely closed with nobody informing us so that we showed up minutes before with a wagon of supplies. When we called them they were rude and dismissive of our concerns and initially didn’t want to refund the money we had already paid so now we will have to email them to try to get our money back. DO NOT plan a party there and it has soured us on going back there just for skating in the future.
Fantastic experience! Roller skating for an hour cost @$50 per person (skating & skates rental), but it was so worth it! I would do it again! 💯 recommended!
Large complex, quality ice, great seating areas. NO HEAT. No heat in the locker rooms, lobby, elevator or bathrooms. No where to get warm unless you happen to be the guy making the pizzas and standing by the oven. Also no hot water in the bathrooms for when you wash your hands.
The guys running the pizza shop/snack bar were very nice. Pizza was good.

Wollman Rink is another special area in NYC to visit both in the summer or during winter, especially if you have little kids, particularly in the summertime, as they set up a small amusement park over the rink. During the winter, you get the most amazing backdrop while ice skating in Central Park. It really is an awesome experience!
Extremely popular ice skating rink that I enjoy going to every year to have fun with family and people all alike from around the city. In peak season lines are long but it moves down relatively fast and it’s worth it once you’re in. In low season there’s less of a wait and you can still have a lot of fun with the really big ice rink.
Thought about it. Seems like a great idea. I laughed when I saw it and feel bad for those who spent money on this. The ad makes it look very cool. In actuality, you're skating around on a small surface and you're right in the middle of people looking at the views. To me it's a scam. My guess is most people purchase without seeing it and are disappointed.

They will have lockers once you're in there which are $7. It will be a bit difficult to find one if it's packed, so a nice young lady was kind enough to give us the heads up that she was done with hers. Use your phone for the lockers, it'll be easier.
Other then that, nothing to it. It's a great time. Again, patience is key!

I give 5 stars but my friends skates were hurting him so he was unhappy for the most of it. I enjoyed myself. An oasis in Manhattan.

I'm talking about multiple hundreds. We could see many people resigning and just leaving after a while. (No refunds... obviously). We got on the ice at 19h45 after 1h25 of wait time. The ice surface is also quite small. The other important things is to expect MOST people to do ice skating for the first time. It is very dangerous ! Be carefull, people falling, and holding on to whatever they see... not fun. Do not expect to go there and do smooth circles, its a jungle and you have to stay focus to dodge any incoming threath. Being from Québec, I am good on ice skates, but i had multiple collisions during the hour over there.

We went ice skating at the Wollman rink in Central Park on Christmas Day 2022. Although we did really enjoy, and it's a much bigger rink than that outside the Rockefeller centre (also cheaper), it was a bit chaotic getting inside and collecting pre-booked skates and then finding a locker to store shoes etc. Arguably it was probably also a little too busy, but hey, it was Christmas Day in Central Park! Lockers cost 7 dollars and it can be a bit tricky trying to find an empty one when it's busy, especially when trudging around in your skates! Worth noting, they clear the rink every couple of hours for 30 minutes or so to recut / smooth the ice...
Very friendly staff, we were there on a Saturday night and it was not crowded. Prices are affordable.
Always see this place in movies and first time skating here. Better to pre-book online for a designated time slot. Overall excellent experience, just that there were too many people in a small rink.
really cool place to skate after dark. looked amazing with all the skyscrapers lit up around you. I found it bad tho that a member of staff was walking down the que before you got in saying she could get you straight in for cash and avoid queuing. the guy behind us paid her $50 to skip the que.
Very quiet place to let you relax. The location is Near the subway and high line park.
Such a fun experience for the whole family. Everyone can have some fun here. The price is very fair and the time you get here is unlimited. The music is good and the staff is friendly. When I went there was no wait but you might not be as lucky. So if I were you I would purchase the tickets online.
Nice rinks, primarily geared toward hockey, but they don't have seating inside all of them. Expensive parking and the constant stream of noisy hockey players through each rink can be frustrating if you're attending a figure skating event or similar, quieter performance. It's one of the best options for indoor skating in the area, though.

Cool indoor rink on the piers. Well maintained, spacious. They provide skate rentals and other safety equipment as well. In the evenings, you can watch little kids play ice hockey. Its adorable
This Pier has a combination of Piers, you can organize the best wedding and any event here. The Staff are well-trained, friendly and welcoming. This is kind of located on the Hudson River and you will see different types of Ships here.
This place is really cool, really fun. I was invited to the driving range today. Got to whack some balls. The tee sets the ball itself, I just swung over and over again. Even felt myself improving over the 2 hour period.
Overlooking the Hudson, laughing and enjoying the easy vibes. Felt like a nice getaway even though I was still in the heart of the city. Definitely will return soon

I came here on a Sunday evening, and I had a terrific time on the ice. The rink was not crowded at all, so I had plenty of space to skate around without worrying about bumping into others. The quality of the ice wasn't perfect, but I certainly had no problem feeling comfortable and safe on the ice.
I particularly loved the atmosphere of this rink — given that it's a rink meant for residents of StuyTown, everyone on the rink was quite friendly. I was able to chat with some of the residents here, and I loved how this rink felt much more like a backyard casual rink compared to some of the larger outdoor ice rinks in the city.

Of all the outdoor rinks in the city, this rink is probably the largest and best-maintained. Given that admission is free if you bring your own skates (but make sure to reserve early!), the price is unbeatable. Although the ice quality certainly depends on the weather/temperature, the rink staff generally do try their best to keep the ice in decent shape.
The only major warning is that this place gets VERY busy on weekends (especially evenings). Also, the rink staff often do not do the best job ensuring that everyone is skating safely, so make sure to be on the extra lookout for kids/beginners skating the wrong way. Of all the outdoor rinks in the city, this rink is probably the largest and best-maintained. Given that admission is free if you bring your own skates (but make sure to reserve early!), the price is unbeatable. Although the ice quality certainly depends on the weather/temperature, the rink staff generally do try their best to keep the ice in decent shape.
The only major warning is that this place gets VERY busy on weekends (especially evenings). Also, the rink staff often do not do the best job ensuring that everyone is skating safely, so make sure to be on the extra lookout for kids/beginners skating the wrong way. This rink is my new favorite! The rink itself is comparable to others in the city, but the people working there really made our experience. They were so helpful and fun. One of the employees is a professional figure skater and gave people skating a bunch of tips, plus we got to watch him practice! They really made the whole experience so enjoyable. We will definitely return.
PLAN AHEAD to avoid disappointment. Expect to wait 30-40 minutes at least as this is a popular spot. The staff are very friendly, prices are not that expensive if going during off peak hours and skates are in good condition if renting (bring thick socks). Tickets can be purchased in person (CASH ONLY) or online. Great atmosphere during the holidays. Amazing skyline views at nighttime.
Surroundings are great, lots to eat and drink in the Hudson Yards mall next door. Ice was super choppy and rough though.
There is a parking garage. I went on a dinner cruise and Chelsea Piers was a great place to take a taxi to and from the pier. A great place for indoor and outdoor recreation. A beautiful clean place to take pictures and enjoy the scenic view of the river.
I went here for a hockey game. Parking in the garage is expensive ($33 for about 2 hours) and I'm not sure where else to park. They have a nice large elevator to take you to the rinks and wide stairs if you prefer stairs. When you go In it is a very large open area with tables to sit and eat. The snack bar has muffins, chips, bagels, pizza, garlic knots and some salad choices. Not bad but a few more choices for protein would be nice for our athletes before or after game meal. It is also a little pricey. A regular can of soda was $2. Pizzas start at $19.95 for a cheese pizza but it was good. The East rink where we played was nice because the netting doesn't go all the way around and you can take better pictures of the game. After the game my son said the ice was good so that's a plus. Locker rooms were clean but very small. The pro shop does sharpening and is nice, offering hockey and figure skating equipment. Overall this rink has everything you need to have a great time!
Nice indoor rink with high quality ice and LOTS of kids learning various stuff. Their rented skates were really comfortable, among the best I’ve had. Perks available for new yorkers.
