Played on the range and course on Friday and loved it. Staff really looked after us and it made for a really good informal business team building event.

Nice course but all of the greens had been heavily spiked the day before our visit, and we only found out as we booked in. They were all pretty much un-playable. Asked for a refund and was offered a free round which we happily accepted.

Played yesterday, not the worst municipal I've played, interesting course, lots of boggy areas, green pretty well maintained. Bunkers were an issue as they didn't have sand in, luckily I didn't go in any. The worst part though was the waiting, and not just due to people who were in front of us from the start, but people were just walking on from the public footpaths and starting to play in the middle of the course, this happened 6 times to us!

I have had sleepless nights…
I have not been to the course but i hear it’s full of posh stuck up imbeciles. Nevertheless ,my brother recently visited for a hack around and as i say, as a result I have had sleepless nights. He has been crying in agony due to the pain and torture his experience was around “Altrincham Golf Course”.

Moreover, I had to clean his pitching trainers. And what can i say… the dirt and smell. Horrendous!
I would eer on the side of caution and wear your wellingtons if you ever have the courage and will to enter onto this atrocity.

If grass could have a cleanliness rating it would be awarded an unprecedented 0. Which would be given as a guide to exactly what not to do in the upkeeps and due care that normal courses carry out as standard practice in the field. It is ruining the great name of the game that is golf. #mylife #longrough #gooeyhole

3 of us paid £75 for a round today 4 may 2024 after 3 holes we couldn't understand why the course was not closed as it was in a terrible state waterlogged mud bath fairways waterlogged greens really un playable, really disappointed we would rather have been turned away then play.
This course needs weeks of dry weather to be playable or is it just a money cow for trafford leisure

Came for 75 balls during opening hours. I drive all the way from town for them to tell me they don’t have any balls left. Nice one definitely will be coming back!

Great atmosphere, excellent course to play. Good fairways and beautifully kept greens. Thinking of becoming a monthly member.

Only a mile away from me , but I had never heard of the George V Pool at the South West end of Altrincham Golf Course. A great walk during the 'lockdown' and a fair bit of wildlife to see
